Alena spoke softly. "Magic is not needed, dear Marcos, to be able to relax. If one would simply focus on the nature around them, let nature take away their worries, then there would be no stress, no worry. Nature is a creature's natural relaxation. That is why elves and fairies seem so relaxed all of the time."

Her gaze slowly traveled over to Maggie, whose eyes were darting around frantically with excitement, and she sighed softly. "Well... everyone is an individual..."

((Happy New Year, everyone. It's been a pleasure roleplaying with you all for the past 1-3 years, depending on who you are. I've used roleplaying to escape from reality, to step into someone else's shoes for a while, and you guys have been spectacular in creating the world for me to let the stress melt away. You all mean a lot to me and I love you guys.))

[Hello to all you nice people ! Happy New Year, wish you lots of health, love and success. Thanks for having me in this forum; I'll try to keep it up]

Quentin smiled but it definitely turned out awkward for him when Maggie burst into her usual... Self. He wasn't so sure what was funny, although she did look like a shining night sky. The flickering sound of her jingles and bells mixed quite smoothly into her... Enthusiastic demeanour. So it made Quentin slightly, okay just plain, uneasy. He didn't comment on Alena's and Marcos exchange, relaxing ? What was that about ? He really focused on Alena's last sentence. Elves and fairies seem relaxed all the time ? So Quentin had a cold exterior, would that really mean to be calm and not stressed out ? Well, that could be true; or mistaken. She was right about nature of course. "Individuality is relative. If someone had the same reactions as you, you could taken part as a whole. You stand out, you mix in. All depends on the situation here." he grinned. "I agree with you about nature though" his head turned towards Alena, "It isn't run on magic, mechanics; it's all authentic. Flowing rivers, brushes of the trees, the sound of the wildlife..." Quentin looked as if trailing off. It reminded his days as a willow tree, and then snapped off to another thing. "Oh Maggie, what do you mean by rigging toilets ? Where's the fun in that ?"

Dymetri enjoyed Quentin speaking. He merely stood off as a listener; he wanted everyone to bond at his party. They'd all know his opinions soon enough. Besides, he sensed similarities in his guests.

Alena gasped slightly at Quentin's response and a small smile began to appear on her face. He sounded like he was a great admirer of nature, too!

"Quentin, am I correct in assuming that you appreciate nature, too, that you find great comfort and tranquility in it?"

If they weren't outside at the moment and she couldn't smell nature all around her, she would have smelled the woodsy scent coming off of Quentin. Her elven senses were made to quickly seek out and find nature. Quentin's smell wasn't overpowering or anything. She just would have sensed it easily and quickly, if it wasn't for the woods surrounding them.

"Huh ?" Quentin clicked off Maggie and turned his attention towards Alena. He was so much used to one-on-one discussions that it seemed strange to talk to more than one person. Well, he was getting more and more at ease within the small group. It was so much fun ! He had to admit it to himself. "Comfort and tranquillity is not enough to even describe it. Let's just say that I have more experience than anyone else in gazing at nature." Quentin left it at that.

Alena quickly got a hint of a challenge in her eyes and smirked as she crossed her arms over her chest. This was fun.

"More experience than anyone else in gazing at nature? You, dear sir, are talking with an elf and a fairy. You would basically have to be a part of nature to compete with us on our experience with nature. You must share the reasoning behind your claim now, please."

Her smirk turned into a smile so that he knew she wasn't trying to force him to do anything that would make him uncomfortable, but she was very curious.

Maggie looked up distractedly from the glitter on her hands over to Quentin. "Huh?" She asked. "The toilets? Uh... Oh! Yeah! I put cherry bombs in them. Everyone can sense magic, so it's like, what's the point in using spells to prank people? You can smell out an explosive spell a mile away, but who's going to realize there's a bomb in the sewer line?"

She giggled. "It was soooo much fun having detention with Mr. Enlil. He was so dorky, I'm going to miss him. I learned so much by listening to everything he didn't say!" She twirled around.

"Alenaaaaaaaa, you should stop flirting, you're gonna make tree-bot blush!" she admonished Lin's clone sister cheerfully.

Meanwhile, in an office several stories above the school grounds...

Silas was sitting at his desk, sipping a NEW cup of coffee and going over plans for the 'big race' that that Leaton person had so vainly suggested to him. He had spent the last several hours in a video conference with some of his best engineers, architects, scientists, and a few professors in magic, just for good measure. They had managed to create a skeleton design of a rather wicked course that Silas was sure his robots would be able to ace in their sleep mode. Unfortunately for him, there would never be a race, let alone a chance for Silas to even gloat about his possible glory to anyone other than himself. Because at that moment, his office suddenly turned from it's mellow brown to a blazing white.

Outside a brilliant flash of light could be seen blasting out of the Headmaster's office, shattering the windows and causing a sonic boom to echo throughout the campus. But just as quickly as it had happened, the light seemed to recede back into the room, reforming the windows and putting the office back as it was. It was as if nothing had happened. Of course, if anyone had a mind to look, they'd find that one thing was missing from the office. And that thing was currently sitting in front of a podium with a very irate brain seated atop it.

Silas sat in dumb shock as he craned his neck to look up at the judge that now towered over him. "What is the MEANING of this!? I DEMAND to speak to my-" But Silas couldn't finish his sentence, because Judge Bellium had struck his gavel, causing Silas' mouth to zip shut like a zipper. Silas attempted to struggle, but Cerrus simply spoke, disregarding Silas' vain attempts to break the spell. "Mister Lyme, it has come to my attention that there was some... irregularities with the evidence that you presented in the case Enlil vs. Earth."

Cerrus struck his gavel again, this time causing the 'evidence' that Silas's lawyer had brought forward against Ialo to appear in front of Silas' seat. At first the evidence seemed normal, but as it passed in front of Silas' face, certain parts of the evidence began to glow a bright red, showing just where Silas had fabricated parts of the evidence to make Ialo look bad. Sometimes it was a few finger prints, sometimes it was entire documents. But every piece of evidence that was flashed in front of Silas' face had something wrong with it. And after each item passed in front of Silas' face, a pit in the bottom of his stomach grew larger and larger, making it hard for him to breath and his vision to become glaringly clear.

Cerrus looked down at Silas and spoke with a kind of anger that he hadn't even used against Ialo when he had spoken out in court. "I consider myself an even man Mr. Lyme, but when you disrespect the justice system in my own court, you may as well sign your own death sentence." Cerrus leaned back in his podium and spoke loudly, as though he were speaking to a gathering of people that wasn't there at the moment. "This court moves to release Ialo Enlil based upon the false charges brought against him. In addition, this court moves to detain Silas Lyme until a full investigation of his dealings can be taken into account and a proper sentence can be administered. How says the jury?" As if from everywhere at once there were loud, commanding voices that sang out in unison, "AYE!" thus sealing Silas' fate. Cerrus spoke again, this time directing his voice more at Silas than anyone else, giving it a hint of disgust as he did so. "Very well. Mr. Lyme shall be placed in solitary confinement until the investigation is complete, and Ialo Enlil shall be released immediately."

Cerrus struck his gavel one last time, and at that moment the court vanished into a stark white void, going on forever. And in that void sat Silas, unbound and free from silence. He stared into the void for many minutes, before finally falling to his knees in defeat. He shook his head, and began to talk to himself quietly, repeating the same word over and over. "...No........ No.......... ...No........ .................No......"

Meanwhile, as that same flash of light that sent Silas to his sentence dissipated, another flash of light brought a familiar face back into the courtroom. Ialo was now sitting where Silas was, however, he was unbound and Judge Bellium's podium was now at a more reasonable height, only making Ialo tilt his head slightly to look up at that judge. Cerrus spoke calmly to the young man, imploring the most apologetic tone his voice could manage. "Ialo Enlil, due to further investigation into the evidence that was bought against you previously, it has been concluded that you were sentenced under false charges. The court has moved to release you immediately, and to strike this whole ordeal from the records." When the official speech was over, Cerrus began to speak plainly, hoping to instill some hope in Ialo after the ordeal he had no doubt been through. "For what it's worth, I apologize for not seeing this sooner. Silas was very thorough in hiding his fabrications. Unfortunately for him we have certain individuals that are better at spotting frauds than he was at creating them."

Cerrus floated in his podium, waiting for Ialo to respond to this drastic news. He only hoped that the poor man hadn't completely lost his sanity while being confined in subspace for so (relatively) long.

Alena looked at Maggie and arched an eyebrow at her. "You were in detention? Maggie, whatever for? I have never known a fairy to get in trouble before... Granted, I only have known forest fairies, never the evil, mischievous, or peculiar ones before. You do not seem like any of those, though. Why would you allow yourself to receive detention, and with that Mr. Enlil of all people? I am sorry to say this about an older person and one of authority, but he is a disgrace to the position of headmaster! Headmistress Krause of my dear Bai Ching is a true representation of the position. Mr. Enlil could stand to learn a thing or fifty from her."

Alena blushed brightly at the next thing Maggie said and huffed slightly. "Maggie, really! That is... is quite ridiculous! I am not flirting! I am simply conversing with an interesting individual. Besides, I only have eyes for one man and that man is Ambrose Rinaldi!"

She gasped and quickly covered her mouth with both of her hands. She should not have let that information slip out!

{{Duh duh duh! Yes, she revealed that information around Dymetri. lol!}}
