((Riser was outside with the party. Well, one of the students set of green glittery fireworks. Now everyone is covered with green glitter. This includes RIser. Amazing what happens when you read!))

BoomXXIV
*GASP*

Ace bolted upright in his cot in the clinic, sucking down as much air as seemed humanly possible. Letting it out more slowly than it entered, he began to scratch and grasp at his chest in pain. A moan of pain followed quickly thereafter; it felt as though someone was twisting a knife inside his heart.

His eyes darted around the room, blurs of color smashing into his conscious mind. Rapidly his irises were changing color, as though they were absorbing the shade of everything around him as he saw it.

There was a woman. A woman he had never met before, but he felt like he had. She had been speaking to him in his sleep. Carrying herself very much like his lost mother, the woman found it easy to mold and shape his very thoughts and actions.
'Kill them. All of them.'

With a guttural scream, Ace kicked off of the cot and lunged towards Ophiuchus.

Shintero quickly turned his gaze from the party outside to what appeared to be a patient who suddenly awoken and was moaning in pain. "Is he ok?" he asked looking over at Ophi. But before he could even get an answer from Ophi the boy sudden screamed and was rushing towards Ophi. With a quick spell Shintero erected a soft earthen wall in between the boy and Ophi. "Whoa their buddy you going to be doing much good hurting the doctor." He said while trying to think of a way to calm him down. After not really coming up with any good ideas he turned back to Ophi. "What's with this guy?"

((Oh, gosh, I don't think much more could happen. I'll just make him do a boyfriend-y teasing gang up thing on Lin. Don't worry about making a couple more posts without me, though, you guys know I catch up well, lol.))

Dymetri chuckled, "She has nothing to worry about. In fact, I may have to begin working out, now that some of these hybrids are aware of her existence." He leaned in to Quentin placing a cup over his mouth to whisper something to him, but handled it in such a way that Lin was still fully able to hear him. "All of her friends were books, bows and butterflies before I came around."

Violently bashing his head into the wall, Ace was literally beginning to force himself through Shintero's spell. He was striking it with such force that as his head and hands began to emerge on Ophi's side, much of his skin and muscle had been torn away.

"Do you realize who he is! DO YOU!?"

He was spurting blood all over the clinic floor, and yet his wounds could be seen to be healing. Real-time regeneration with no spells, charms, curses, wards, or incantations; this wasn't supposed to be possible. Each piece of flesh that was torn away may as well have instantly been stitched back to the connective tissue. He had now writhed and clawed through the wall so that his entire upper body was on Ophi's side, and yet only the bits sliding through could be seen to have been damaged at all.

"I'm going to kill you snake, and there's not a damned thing anybody here can do about it!"
PostPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 8:12 pm

Ophiuchus stood up as Shintero blocked for him, and slowly approached Ace. He was staring, staring at how quickly the boy regenerated - there were only a few people Ophiuchus knew of that could heal that quickly, and one of them was himself.

"You and I are alike," he said lowly. "You can't kill me either. So calm down!" Useless words, he knew.

He cast a barrier spell, a bubble separating Ace and the wall from Ophi and Shintero.

"The Great-Mother told me all about you, I know exactly what you are, exactly where you came from, exactly how you got your powers. She also told me that you would lie to me, exactly as you are now; we both know you can be killed."

He looked around, realizing the extent of his entrapment and apparently disregarding it entirely. He reared back and smashed his forehead into the barrier with obscene force, his head splattering like a melon dropped on concrete. The blood and brain matter went everywhere within, and mere instants later he was staring back at Ophiuchus, covered in his own blood. A smile streaked across his face.

"It's alright though, I said I was going to kill you. I never said how I planned to do that." He paused for a moment, and took in a deep breath. "MAYHEM!"

On command a massive figure burst through the ceiling. The enormous armored feet crushed into the floor some two inches, and Ophiuchus quickly found himself pinned to that very floor by the forks of a massive trident. The hunching figure looked to the barrier, its shaggy hair swaying wildly as it did. With one ruthless backfist, the barrier was shattered and Ace was lifted out.

"Bye bye. For now."

The figure crouched and launched the pair back through hole it had come crashing through initially. They were gone.

{{Alrighty, Victoria! As long as you're okay with us moving forward, I'll keep posting, then. smile I had forgotten how good you are with catching up! biggrin }}

At Quentin's first words, Lin's eyes widened largely and she almost took offense to what he said. Please take care of me? Most certainly not! How uncalled for! However, when she saw that Dymetri didn't even seem to blink at his words, Lin realized that it must have been a certain phrase that was used in this area that she was not familiar with. Miscommunication and misunderstanding had occurred quite frequently that way since she had come to MFHS.

Due to the absurdity of her assumption and the humorous statement Marcos made shortly afterword, Lin began to giggle and shake her head. The sound of light bells could be heard in the distance as she laughed. "Now Marcos! You know that is not true. My roommate Athena and I were quite close, and I have many friends at Bai Ching. I still am hoping that you will come with me to visit my school in the future. It is magnificent!"

She looked back at Quentin and smiled warmly at him, the sound of the bells fading into the background. "And I completely concur with you, Quentin. Marcos is a rare man and I know that I am very blessed to have him. I know what it is like to lose someone you love completely, so I will most certainly not take him for granted. However, I will never force him to stay faithful to me. I want him to do that on his own, not because I force him to or because I scare away any possible suitors."

Lin looked up at Dymetri and smiled at him, her eyes filled with complete and absolute love. "I do not think I have to worry about that happening, though. I believe that only this deep of connection can be felt when both parties have an equal love for each other."

Even though she knew that public displays of affection were not proper, Lin leaned up and slowly kissed Dymetri's cheek, anyway. Then, she backed away and smiled at both of them.

"Well, now that everything seems to finally be in place, I will take my leave once more. I will go converse with some of our new arrivals. It was wonderful to meet you, Quentin! I hope I will get to see you again, soon."

With one final smile, Lin turned and left Dymetri and Quentin's company. She walked back into the center of the party and gently called out to one of the nearby blue butterflies, using her elven language.

One small butterfly quickly flew over to her and landed neatly in her open palm. Lin smiled at it and began to converse with it in her native tongue. The butterfly made no verbal response, but Lin knew what the butterfly was communicating. She, as all light elves did, had grown up conversing with nature. It was as common for them as it was conversing with humans.

Alena was overjoyed with Maggie's own joy and giggled in delight as the fairy twirled her around in a circle. This was so much fun!

"Maggie, I have missed you greatly! I hope you make your presence known more frequently in the future!"

She started jumping up and down periodically as she twirled in a circle with Maggie.

''Well at least we have some things in common'' Quentin whispered back at Marcos. He chuckled discreetly, done with what he said. It didn't escape him that Lin heard what her boyfriend say... And what he himself mentioned too. Quentin knew well the company of ''books, bows and butterflies'' although the second wasn't that much familiar. Weapons weren't his thing.

He nodded and smiled all through Lin's reply, enjoying her tone and playful response. She was such a delicate creature of light. He simply nodded again when she bid him farewell. ''Thank you ! My wish is the same, I hope I'll be able to see you too.'' He waved her goodbye, watching her melt into the crowd.

''Lucky you Marcos.'' he simply stated. Quentin approached his finger at the butterflies on his shoulder, picking up one. He looked at it, peeked with interest. They were certainly beautiful. With a gentle flick, he watched the insect fly off to join his comrades. ''Where'd you find these creatures ? They're much unique.''

Dymetri smiled down at Lin and after her departure, smiled at Quentin. It wouldn't surprise him that he and Lin had qualities in common, he found both attractive. Of course, Lin was the only one he loved.
"We didn't find them," he said, looking up at the butterflies now, "They found us. Lin and I were swimming in the lake when they randomly appeared. I'm guessing this is where they eat. I heard that these type of butterflies drink the juice from the wet mud around the water, so that's why they're here so often."
Dymetri's eyes met Quentin's now, full of interest. "Do you have a special someone at home, Quentin? I'm only curious, so you don't have to answer."
PostPosted: Mon Dec 20, 2010 3:48 pm

''Really ? I'll just have to come here more often then.'' he gladly added. He was sure to check the border of the lake, spending time with the butterflies. Well, maybe not just them; the forest surely hid some unspoken or unheard friends of the wild. The party was getting back on its tracks, such a lovely night. It wasn't tiring to just admire the beauty and fun that radiated from theses premises. He could've stood there to just gaze randomly; even if people would surely feel uncomfortable for that kind of stare with no reason. Was it that bad to just look away and plunge deep into your thoughts ? Anyway, Quentin quickly regained himself before doing just that.

Hearing Dymetri's next question, he started blushing. Did it always had to come to that ? He deviated a bit from his friend's own green glare, starting to look down in a rather nervous manner. He wished his glasses were pitch black, maybe then it revealed less of his soul. ''I'd better find myself a home then.'' he muttered. Should he really consider the place where he spent over a hundred years immobile ? Although that's where his whole story started, Quentin also had a precise idea of what a home should be. A place where he felt safe, where he could return at any moment to feel warmth and love. The feeling that grove left was more abandon and solitude.

''What I mean is... Well... Um no. I don't have any special someone who's waiting for me. At least, I've yet to meet The One as some might put it.'' he crossed his arms behind his back before setting them at their place alongside. ''I don't mind your curiousness, I really appreciate the conversation we're having. Would you allow me to ask you this ? Do you have something against gold ? You've mentionned it in a quite evasive manner.''

Immature Excuse

He pursed his lips. "I don't mean home as a specific area. Mystic Fountain, although I live there, is not my home."
Dymetri smiled at Quentin, the corners of his eyes crinkling. "No siblings either? I knew a boy, a bit of time ago, that was on the constant search for his brother. Cross, I believe his name is. Well, that doesn't matter now. All I'm saying is that I don't mean "The One" necessarily, but that applies as well. A sweet someone is.. special to you. A small girl used to be mine; I saved her." He looked at him. "But that's a different story for a different time. Lin is my home now."
As Dymetri listened to Quentin, he chuckled and shook his head. "Not gold, the metal, but the color gold."
Dymetri looked at Quentin up and down and decided that it would be harmless to let him in on part of his secret. "Look into my eyes," he whispered as his hand pushed back the hair that partially covered his eyes. They widened so that Quentin was able to get a clear view. Marcos's light green eyes were normal, but there were specks of gold-- platinum, really-- that reflected once light shone upon them. Most of these specks formed a ring around the green color. "The unnatural color is my undesirable characteristic," he said, his face expressionless. The color, although difficult to see without Dymetri's consent, looked beautiful even with the last remnants of green falling from the sky. Beautiful, not for it's color, but the beauty that surrounds the mythical, the mysterious and extraordinary. In these small bits of color, there was a great amount of emotion held, yet none at all; they were timeless.
And then Dymetri blinked and leaned back, letting his hair fall upon his eyes again. The flecks were still visible, but because one was aware of them, it was difficult to see anything but the gold. One could've even sworn the specks weren't even there to begin with.
"If certain people were to see this, it could mean my life. There are many that.. don't approve of what it means. So if I were to make it conspicuous, it'll be much easier for someone to see it. That's why I don't wear gold-- it makes my undesirable characteristic easily seen."
He placed his hands on his hips and grinned. "But that's such a depressing subject to talk about, and this is a party. Come, let's not make it seem like we're creating our own, invitation-only clique." Dymetri paved the way toward a jumping set of fairy and elf. "Hello, Maggie." He nodded at her. "And hello ...Lin." It was odd to think of her as another Lin, and Dymetri wasn't yet aware of Lin's clone's name change. "This is my friend, Quentin."

Alena stopped jumping with Maggie for the moment and lightly dropped her hands. She looked over at the voice who called to her and smiled at Dymetri.

"Hello, Marcos. Actually, my name is Alena now. Maggie thought of it, and Lin and I fell in love with it! It really is quite a beautiful name. It means light."

She looked over at Quentin and smiled warmly at him as she held out her hand. "Hello, Quentin. It is a pleasure to meet you!"

Kai landed behind the dwarf and looked up at the sky as the dust fell harmlessly to the ground. As it settled it stuck to the silver feathers of his wings giving off a pleasant green glow making him look radioactive. "Nice explosion, I hope this stuff isn't going to mutate the wild life...," he said in the dwarf's general direction, "we have enough crazy crap that happens," He added the last part silently. With a sigh he dusted his wings off and smiled pleasantly. "I'm Kai, and I'm pretty sure I've never seen you around the school before."
