There were blankets, food and candles graciously set around the water. A sorcerer was putting on a small light show for his friends by the corner and, although there was no music, soft singing reverberated heavenly against the trees. Dymetri smiled to himself. If he needed to picture a small party in the midst of nature, filled with mythical and magical beings, it would look exactly as this. A water nymph seemed to be the life of the party for most of the men, until she turned to another female-- a lion hybrid-- and joined lips. Dymetri chuckled at the disappointed faces surrounding them. Despite everyone being a teenager, there was no reckless laughter or horrendous amounts of noise. He was sure that if the animals around them weren't frightened about the small light show that they would join in as well. He kept in mind, however, that cute and furry animals weren't the only creatures in the forest.
I hope to God there is a vampire lurking about, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce on us. You're a fool if you wish for such a thing. If something like that were to happen, you may very well be saying your farewells to existence itself. That would be better than this. Well, I apologize for having put you through this hassle. If I knew how to rid it for you then, trust me, I would without a moment's hesitation.
With the voice of his inferior silenced to a small deafening cry, Dymetri gave the crowd his best smile. "Thank you, everyone, for arriving, for helping me feel welcome to your school with your presence; it gives me hope that, in time, I will become friends with each of you." His voice carried with it a wise and sophisticated flow. He clasped his hands together momentarily, and when they parted, several crocuses floated about, landing in the lap or hand of each guest. "May this serve as the happiness I wish for you and those you love." Dymetri did not notice the wishful stares of the women around him. He was much too busy looking at Lin, now, the life of his party. Dymetri's hands closed once more and revealed a flower, carved from ice. "And may this gloxinia represent the affection I felt at the first sight of you, Lin." It floated toward her with such sureness that it may have been thought to almost topple her over. But when it came close to her, it slowed and waited for her touch. Dymetri smiled once more at the guests. "Thank you, once more, for arriving. We hope that you enjoy the rest of the night." After a small murmur of applaud, everyone continued with the games, flirtations and songs. He turned toward Lin and gave her a grander smile than the polite one he gave to everyone else. "This turned out much better than we planned, don't you think?"

{{Please feel free to jump in everyone! biggrin }}
Lin was so happy. The party was absolutely beautiful, and Dymetri seemed happy. She was very glad to see so many people at the party for Dymetri, to meet him. She really hoped he could bond with someone on a friendship level. He deserved a best friend.
Her gaze fell on some of the women at the party. Their eyes were filled with passion and longing as they gazed at Dymetri. When he spoke, she could visibly see them sigh in appreciation. A guy. She definitely hoped a guy would become Dymetri's friend, not a woman. Lin was feeling something quite odd inside of her. It wasn't all that pleasant, either. She thought it might be jealousy.
When Dymetri turned to look at her, though, and said what he had felt when he first laid eyes on her, she smiled, though it wasn't one of absolute love. There was a mischievous look in her eyes and a smirk on her lips. She remembered exactly how they had interacted when they first met, when he was a professor. Affection wasn't exactly the word she would have used. It now was amusing and humorous for her to think of that time.
Lin's eyes lit up and began to sparkle brightly when Dymetri formed an ice rose and floated it over to her. Tears formed in her eyes, though they didn't fall. She hadn't seen Dymetri do that since the day he had died. It was so wonderful.
When he came over to her, she returned his smile and then kissed his lips briefly. When she pulled back, she grasped one of his hands with her hand, the hand that wasn't holding the rose, and gazed into his eyes.
"I love you so much."

((Does Lin know that Dymetri jumps from gender to gender when it comes to flirtation? razz I think I put him as bisexual in his profile, if not then nevermind. But I'm pretty sure, lol.))
Dymetri face fell at the sight of her tears, wondering how-- what he had done or said to make them appear. After realizing they were tears of joy, his smile returned and he chuckled, taking her face in one hand and holding her free hand in the other. "And I love you, Lin. Please, enjoy the party. There are faces here that I don't remember seeing around the campus, so I'm going to say hello to many. I encourage you to do the same. We have an endless amount of time to spend in the sight of each other, let's be a little wild and detach during this one night. Hopefully the blue butterflies will show themselves later on, but for now, let's make friends." He smiled once more to her and gave her a sweet kiss on her forehead, nose, the tip of each ear, and finally her lips. After letting go of her hand, he walked toward the other side of the small lake, walking on the water.

{{No she definitely does not! lol! I'm glad you remember that you did make him bisexual! biggrin }}
Lin giggled at Dymetri's flood of attention. She wasn't used to it in public. In fact, this was the first time they had been able to show their affection in public since he was no longer a professor. It made her giddy! Plus, his lips slightly tickled her along her face. She couldn't believe how happy she was, considering how devastated she had been just a short time ago.
She smiled as she watched him walk to a different area of the lake. She was glad that they were going to socialize with other people for the time being. That's what this party was about, and she had always believed that in order to be a truly rounded person, an individual needed to interact with people often.
Lin was nervous at first when she saw Dymetri start to walk on the water. But then, she remembered that he was simply a student at MFHS now and that students who attended needed to have special abilities. So, she quickly relaxed and then looked around for someone to talk with. However, many women were slightly glaring at her after seeing her interactions with Dymetri. She sighed softly, not sure how she should proceed now.

((Here, let me contribute. One of my characters is free. Dymetri is going to get a little gift.))
A fine fragrance of magnolia blooms was perhaps the first warning the new boy got, before the rustle of leaves and the petite body dropping onto him. Well, Maggie thought he was new. She had no idea that he was once the Night professor but really, wasn't that the whole point?
The fairy girl landed on Dymetri unapologetically and earned the glares of more than a few other girls at the party. "Hey you, new boy!" she exclaimed.
"What's your name again? Where are you from? You must not have been here long, because you don't really smell like here, at least not very much. What classes are you taking? Are you going to get detention? Why did you kiss Lin? How long have you known her? Are you two going steady? She likes flowers, I like flowers too, that's why we're sorta-friends - sorta, because I'm in trouble all the time and I don't get to talk to her often. I like your hair. You're very pretty. Lin is really pretty too, so are shiny things, like bells! Oh! Did you want to see my bells? You should look a my bell, they're big round bells, see?"
Maggie hopped off Dymetri and showed him her bells - five large round bells, just like she said, gold plated nickel, strung together with a thin red ribbon around her waist. They jingled as she spun around and wiggled her hips.
They weren't the only bells, either. Maggie was decked head to toe with all manners of 'pretties' as she liked to call them. Shells, bells, coins and ribbons decorated her hair, her belt, and were strung up her legs from her sandals, like the ribbons of ballet shoes.

(( >.> Well, just figured I'd go ahead and posted this here... James is gone. No one really talked with him, and Reaper alone couldn't talk him out of it so James left the school, and it is highly likely he won't return unless we do a time skip... like a long one, seeing as how he's somewhat turned into a villain in my head for this....))

((Awesome c: ))
Dymetri raised his chin a bit at the sweet smelling girl who collapsed atop him. "My name is Marcos Demoir," he said with confidence and amusement, the amusement a man would get when speaking about the existence of Santa Claus to a small child. He raised a brow at the girl's theatrics and leaned toward her. He placed a hand on the top of her head, as if she were bouncing uncontrollably and he needed to put an end to it. "Why would I get detention, hm?" he asked, but chuckled soon after. His eyes, although green, sparkled with golden flecks. They were perfectly visible behind some strands of Dymetri's hair and he used it to his advantage. "You're animated. Alive. I enjoy this quality in people. However, how am I to enjoy this bouncy presence when it has no name?" His face was expectant.

((I'm new here so sorry if my posts are a little funky. Still have to get into the swing of things))
Volixia walked into the party, unsure of her surroundings. She had heard that there was a big party and that everyone was invited. So with nothing better to do she came. Though, not knowing anyone here, there was nothing to do. She moved over to s tree and stood there, watching, and seeing if anyone would interact with her.

{{Woo hoo!! Awesome! And MAGGIE'S BACK!! I was waiting for her return! biggrin }}
{{And Woonren! Lin interacted with James. He was one of her really good friends. I wish he'd come back. sad }}
Lin heard loud jingling all of a sudden and looked around the party for the source. Then, she saw Maggie on top of Dymetri's shoulders before she hopped down, almost never stopping her animated speech. She had bells draped all over her and she looked so festive! Lin had missed Maggie! She had only spoken to the fairy a couple times. Maggie was so energetic that she didn't stay in one place long. Lin was somewhat used to that, having interacted with fairies her whole life at home and at Bai Ching. However, not all of them were like Maggie. Just like people, fairies were unique individuals and were all different.
Lin watched with amusement as Dymetri interacted with Maggie. She was impressed that he did not let her overt enthusiasm phase him. He remained calm and seemed amused. She was glad that Dymetri seemed to appreciate her presence. Perhaps they all could walk through the gardens together in the future! That would be amazing. The love of her life walking with her and the enthusiastic fairy joining them in the wonderful display of nature that Lin loved. The idea seemed like heaven to Lin.
Lin started to look around the party to see how everyone else was faring. It was then that she saw a girl standing in front of a tree, glancing around at others at the party. Lin didn't recognize her and thought she must be new. She looked so shy. Lin stood up from the table and walked over to the girl at the edge of the party. As was usual for elves, Lin almost appeared as if she were gliding.
Once she was in front of the tree, Lin smiled softly at the young girl. "You know, some of my favorite places to be are near trees. They are very sturdy and loyal. Also, if you remain very quiet and still, sometimes you can hear them speaking to you."
Lin smiled warmly at the girl and held out her hand. "My name is Lin Yin."

{{*I* at least would wish you'd stay, Boom. At least with me, I didn't answer questions directly b/c I assumed it wasn't my place and they weren't directed to me. Most of them were directed to other scenes. Victoria and I invited EVERYONE to come to the party in the story. That included you. smile
Believe me, I know it can get frustrating when no one in an RP will respond to you in story or out. But also, you have to remember that you didn't have your student respond again in the Ophi/clone Lin scene. We all can end up dropping scenes at some point. Just jump in on the party scene!! biggrin }}
