Raegar grunted at Dimitri's response watching them settle down at the table." About thirty fiends..." Reagar's eyes shifted back to the boy sprawled, "Valenti will not let you." He grabbed a steak off the tray, drops of blood running off it over his fingers. "They are a pack and their numbers grow. Soon people will be in danger." Then he took a large bite of it looking back to Kiro, wiping some blood from the corner of his mouth. "Unless you think there is a reason he should?"

Kiro crawled off the table and patted himself down. "I guess you have a point there." Kiro agreed. Kiro finally noticed Fidessa across the cafeteria with Tia. I thought she said she was going to keep out of trouble and keep out of sight... Suddenly Kiro had an idea to get Fidessa out of the Corps. "Say, I know of two newbie hunters that could use some experience though." Kiro suggested as she gestured at Tia and Fidessa a ways away.

Jeeves wrote furiously on her small notepad as she listened to Raegar. He hadn't answered her question back at the archives and so decided to follow him to gauge the reaction he said she wouldn't like for herself. Before she could conduct the experiment, he had started talking to another Hunter...Dimsomethingorother...about a pack of fiends. She was instantly fascinated. Fiends didn't normally develop such a group dynamic, so she decided to postpone her behavioral experiments until later. She had decided to continue ghosting the large barbarian fellow and listening to his tale before asking any pertinent questions. Truly fascinating!

"Thirty fiends you say." Dimitri said, his confidant smile slipping for a moment before he managed to settle it back into its customary place. "I must say, that's quite a quarry." "Yes. Is there some sort of plan?" Roger asked. The two hunters glanced at each other for a moment. Their teamwork was solid, but even they would have a tough time handling such a lopsided fight.

"This hunt is no place for fresh meat...but we need more hunters." Raegar was ignoring the itch on his neck, Jeeves, he knew the girl had shadowed him, but was trying to pay little attention to her hoping that she might disappear.
He sighed, "I am open to suggestions." His gaze swept over all of them as he waited for the two Kiro was trying to get to come over. The newbies as he had put it.

Fidessa attempted to sneak away from Tia for a moment to speak with Kiro, but she was quickly followed so she decided to sit down at the table with the group.
"So what were you pointing at us for, Kiro~?" Fidessa asked with a sly smirk on her face.
Kiro shrugged. "I was only pointing out that there are many available hunters at the Corps. that would jump at the chance to go on a new mission." Kiro replied, obviously trying to get Fidessa in trouble. She was not even a member of the Corps. and was only pretending after all.

Dimitri and Roger both looked up as the two female Hunters joined them. They had known Tia for a long time, though not well as they rarely stayed at HQ long before moving on to the next mission, but neither of them recognized the other girl. A new recruit? No weapons. Similar attire to Kiro's. Perhaps a connection there? She carries herself well. Conficence? Skilled? ... Both. Roger's thought ran through his head, analytic. Dimitri made his own assessments. Wow. She... uh... wow... "Yeah, we could use a few more able bodied fighters for this mission." Dimitri said. What do you say you join us, Miss?..."

Fidessa smiled in satisfaction at the thought of joining the Corps. but was even more amused to be going on a mission right under their nose. "I don't see why not. Tagging along could be fun."
Kiro cringed as Fidessa gave word. She is way too confident...
Tia continued eating, though stopped briefly to swallow her food before a reply. "I would come with, but I'm in the middle of training still. Maybe next time!" Tia answered quickly and then went back to devouring her meal.
"That could be a good idea." Kiro muttered to himself after hearing Tia's response. Kiro hadn't actually developed his eye techniques much lately and figured he should start mastering the new ones he had learned. Not to mention I'm not really in the good graces of the Corps... I'm pretty much under house arrest right now.

"Well, now we're four." Dimitri said. "It'll be a pleasure to work with you, Miss?..." Dimitri said, still fishing for the beautiful girls name. "Exactly how many are you hoping to get for this mission?" Roger asked.

"My name is Fidessa, just Fidessa." She proclaimed with a a flick of her ponytail. "I just call her Dessa." Tia added. "Hmmm, four shouldn't be too bad." Fidessa stated nonchalantly.

Raegar looked at them nodding, "I figured five would be the minimum, that would mean we'll only be outnumbered five to one. If we can't find more to join us, we'll just have to pick up the slack." The giant man reached down and grabbed a slab of jerky, tearing a chunk off.

"I'm sure the four of us can handle it." Dimitri said, glancing around at their team. "Though to ensure efficiency maybe we should discuss our individual battle tactics and come up with some sort of combat plan." "I'll go first." Roger said. "I'm what most people would call a nimble fighter. I use dual cutlasses and a pair of flintlocks. I use agility, misdirection, and blade technique while fighting and to move around the battlefield. Also, I normally partner with Dimitri. We often use a team strategy, fighting back to back and rapidly switching positions to set up our opponents and keep them off their footing." Dimitri spoke up next. "As Roger already said, he and I normally use a team strategy. As far as my individual talents go I'm what you would call a heavy fighter, though some would call me a wall. I wear full plate armor into battle along with a heavy shield and I wield a flanged mace. I tend to allow most enemies to beat futilely against my shield for a bit until I find my opportunity and then lay in with my mace. Though sometimes I make my own opportunities by smashing in with the shield and throwing them off balance." Dimitri gestured at Raegar and Fidessa for one of them to go next.

Kiro had finished eating and was ready to just head back to his room. "Since I'm not allowed to go, I don't really want to hear about this since it will just make me want to go more. See ya." Said to whoever was listening, though he didn't expect them to while they now started a meeting where he had been trying to relax.
Fidessa smiled at Kiro's frustration. "Well, I'm just a hand to hand combat type. Martial arts are my weapon." Fidessa replied to Dimitri.

Raegar's watched Kiro only through his peripheral vision, looking focused on the task at hand. "Axe and fist." That was explanation enough, not to mention over a quarter century of experience in fighting the various kinds of fiends. Of the three Corps members, to his knowledge, he was surprised mostly by the girl named Fidessa. "How many fiends have you killed using only your hands girl?" Doubtful was he that the girl had done so; he knew it could be done having done it himself many times, but it was simpler and more efficient to at least accent the style with a weapon.

"Hmmmmmm..." Fidessa stopped to think for a moment. "About an average of two to three a day for about ten years is about... Maybe in the ten-thousands?" Fidessa answered, though unsure. She had grown up in an area with fiends so she had to defend herself often. Joining with Axis only increased the amount of fiends she had to kill due to testing and deposing of failed experiments. "Oh and if you think I'm going to let you know how old I am after dropping the ten years, you got another thing coming." Fidessa added.
Tia had been thinking the same thing and had become more worried about Fidessa's future wrinkles than impressed by her kill count.
