Cuwen http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd85/Cuwen_2007/Bai Ching RP/NataliePortmanHappy-1.jpg Lin sighed in great relief. She was so glad he still had the immune system of a vampire. That was very good news.
As she started walking back to the coast of the ocean where they would then walk across the ocean again like they did that first night, she turned to him and smiled at his doctor comment. Her eyes were bright and sparkling.
"Really?! Well, there have been a few new potions I have been wanting to test out, but no one would be willing to do that for me. I am so glad that you are volunteering for that, Dymetri! Thank you so much!"
She hugged him as they walked, completely unaware that she had missed Dymetri's definition of 'playing doctor' entirely.
She smiled as their feet touched the water and they began to walk across the ocean. Dymetri laughed while walking along the water. "Excellent. It's done then."
They arrived at the school moments later, walking along the grass together. He thought to himself about his youth, his humanity. There couldn't be just school. Weren't there fairs? malls? drugs? concerts? He glanced at Lin with a smile. She wouldn't go for any of that. At least, as far as he knew. Good ol' direct Dymetri stepped up to the plate. "You enjoy nature, right? Plants and the whole 'shabang'. Do you recall marijuana? It comes from the hemp plant."
((Green Day's perfectly fine >:c ))

((Not at all. I liked their oldest stuff, back when they were still Stoner Rock (most people don't even connect that a "green day" is a day spent skipping school/work and chilling with friends and getting high), then they sold out and ruined all of their music for me. Seriously, they have got to be the biggest sell-outs in the history of rock (not counting hair metal of course)))

Lin looked up at Dymetri and arched an eyebrow at him in consideration. "Yes, I do... If I remember correctly, its proper name is Cannabis, it is a mild hallucinogen and can be used to concoct psychotropic drugs. With the correct intentions, it can help many individuals who suffer from extreme reoccurring pain. However, in many instances, the plant is not used with the best of intentions. It is often consumed by individuals so that they can become happier and more carefree."She went over to one of the stone benches in the garden and sat down. She crossed her ankles and folded her hands in her lap. "Of course, it is often considered that native tribes used the plant in a recreational manner. It is a natural substance, so I believe that proper, limited use of the plant is acceptable."She looked up at Dymetri with a curious expression on her face. "Why do you ask, Dymetri?"

((Weed is considered a psychotropic drug according to this: [x]Dymetri's face was collected, perfectly sober. He smiled after sitting next to her, making the corners of his eyes crinkle. "You're very educated on the subject. Do you have firsthand knowledge, though?" He slipped a hand between hers and looked down, his eyes just as mesmerizing as hers were for him. "It's acceptable to refuse, it always is, but would you like to smoke with me? Once I pick up, of course, because it's evident I'm dry. There must be a dealer somewhere, there always is."

{{Ah! Thanks for the 2nd source of proof, Victoria! I'm glad it wasn't just in Wikipedia, then. smile That's not always the best source for information. lol. On that page, it says that even caffeine is considered a psychotropic drug! lol!!}}
Lin smiled softly when Dymetri slipped one of his hands in between hers in her lap, and then she gripped his hand back with both of hers, cradling it in her lap as if it were a priceless treasure. To her, he was.
She turned her smile up to him and then rested her chin on his shoulder. Her eyes were sparkling up at him. She gently moved one of her hands from his and cupped the side of his face. Her thumb slowly traced his cheekbone.
"I would prefer not to partake in that activity, Dymetri, but I will not think poorly of you if you wish to. As I mentioned, it is a natural substance and as long as you don't abuse it or become dependent on it, I do not see anything wrong with it. I trust you and your judgment. I just do not wish to participate because I like to always have my facilities about me. I am afraid to possibly lose control over my mind or have hallucinations. I would rather keep my interaction with the plant on a strictly medicinal level."
She kissed his lips softly and then pulled back slightly again. She was smirking slightly. "However, I was thinking it might be nice to have a small get together in your dorm room sometime this week. We could invite classmates you will meet this week and anyone else who might want to come. You should meet your classmates and develop some friendships. Plus, I think it would be fun to have a small party in your room. What do you say?"

((That's because it is. Wolfram Alpha also verifies that information. Caffeine affects the nervous system, people take it specifically to become more alert. Caffeine alters your mental state, just as cannabis does, simply in different manners. Caffeine is also, incidentally, addictive, perhaps even more addictive than weed, but that's my opinion and I have no facts whatsoever on that comparison. Also note that psychoactive and psychotropic are synonyms, thank you Merriam-Webster! Any substance that alters your state of mind, regardless of magnitude or specific effects, is considered such a drug no matter how trivial or common it is.))

Danni shifted from one foot to another, rubbing clammy hands against jeans that were, for once, free or holes or unexplainable stains. Her hair was pulled back in a tail that fell down her back, and the shirt she wore was new, and one of the only ones in her possession that had actual buttons on it.
It was necessary, she reminded herself. Disowned or not, she had a duty, and one she planned to uphold. Letting out a breath she'd been holding for more than a few seconds, she reached out and pressed the buzzer on the doorbell of the Rinaldi Island Mansion.
Eleanor Rinaldi was turning thirty seven, though she'd only admit to thirty five. God help anyone who dares question her.
((Meh, I'm out of time. Gotta finish this later.))

((Either way, Caffeine is addictive and Weed is not. Caffeine offers a physical addiction, meaning the body wants it. The closest Weed comes to being addictive is a mental addiction, meaning the user craves the high, but will have no physical repercussions (withdrawals) if he or she were to stop cold turkey even after smoking everyday for several years. Hence why this s**t needs to be legal. GOOOOOO PROP 19!))
