Raegar's face had turned into a glower and he said nothing until the small girl was essential gone. "She would not of liked my reaction..." He shook his head before meeting eyes with Drustwn, "The reason that bag is not twice as full." Addressing his question. "A pack of fiends, thirty or more by the time I track them down again. Needed to get help." He was dealing with more people than he cared to in a day regardless of whether he knew their faces. And it made the idea of the coming hunt seem less exciting and more tedious. "You should be hunting Drustwn."

Drustwn nodded at his old friend's words,"I had been on an unsanctioned hunt. I knew what the consequences would be and am paying them gladly. I'll be back out there again in no time. Until then, good hunting, my friend. I wish you many trophies." Drustwn went back to reading through documents again. He knew Raegar wasn't much for talking, and frankly neither was Drustwn. Suddenly the girl was back. She had a small pad of paper in her hand again and a writing utensil that scratched hurriedly as she wrote. "Hmmmmm, yes yes....let me see... Now just what would your reaction have been exactly?" Jeeves' pencil stopped poised over the paper as she looked at Raegar expectantly, ready to begin writing again at a moments notice.

Fidessa was still snooping around the middle of the Arena when a young girl's voice called out to her. "Whacha doin' down there?" She asked. Fidessa picked her head up to look at the girl in the stands. She had a haircut very similar to her own, but shorter. "Oh, just looking around. I find architecture to be very interesting! And this sure is amazing." Fidessa replied with a smile and frantic hand gestures.
The girl jumped down from the stands. Fidessa noticed the girl had the modesty to wear some spandex under her plaid skirt that had rose up from the fall. Teenagers... Fidessa mentally commented. Her feet imprinted the ground a bit more than Fidessa expected from such a small girl. She then noticed her heavy metal boots and shin guards. Those must add about 60 more pounds on that girl... Fidessa thought.
"The name is Tia, I'm a hunter here. What's your name?" Tia asked as she approached. "Nice to meet you, Tia. I like your hair." Fidessa grinned. "I'm Fidessa, a new hunter here." She lied. There was a moment of silence where Tia just stared blankly at her. "Really!?" Tia exploded in excitement as she grabbed Fidessa's hands together in union of friendship. "Me too! I've only been here a couple of months, but I sure am glad to have someone else here to bond with!" Tia spoke very quickly and excitedly.
Fidessa was relieved that this girl hadn't been a senior hunter or guardian who would question why she was there or her existence within the Corps. Fidessa's facial expression instantly matched Tia's. "Exactly right!" She replied as she took Tia's hands as well and held them.
"I think we're going to be the best of friends." Tia added as she finally disengaged her hands.
"So..." Fidessa started. "I noticed you have some nice combat boots there. Pretty unusual though." She added.
"You could say that..." Tia said. "I always loved kick-boxing and Tae-Kwon-Do, but I only truly excelled at and enjoyed kicking. And so I asked the blacksmiths to come up with these. Each boot weighs around 30 pounds and they also act as shin guards. I also love them because I can store things behind the shin guard like my ID dagger among other things." Tia explained.
"That is pretty nifty." Fidessa replied. "I'm impressed by your lower body strength though. Especially for such a skinny girl."
"Skinny? Thank you so much! I've been so worried about my weight lately..." Tia said, holding her stomach.
This girl amused Fidessa quite a bit. "How about a spar?" She asked with her usual smile.
"Sure!" Tia replied, quickly picking up a stance. "It'll be a great bonding opportunity!" She added as she began hopping back and forth from one foot to the next.
She's got quite a bit of energy. Fidessa left another mental comment. "Ready whenever you are." Fidessa announced as she brought her left foot forward and left arm outward, though fingers pointed out instead of her palms.
Tia rushed in at Fidessa at top speed. Just before coming in range Tia twisted backwards to the right and swung her right leg around into a perfect round-house kick directed at Fidessa's right ribcage. Pretty decent kick Fidessa thought as she skillfully redirected her foot upwards with her palm. Tia's body ended up following along with it due to her momentum and flipped Tia's body backwards. "-Wha!" Tia wailed as she flipped in the air.
Tia landed beautifully on her feet, but was quickly met with quick jabs and palms from Fidessa in the chest, shoulders, and sides. Tia quickly retreated back and regained her footing. "Ow... You hit too hard." Tia whined.
And her 30 pound boot round-house kick isn't hitting hard?... Fidessa thought to herself, finding her a bit funny. I guess its alright. I'm only using about 5 percent of my usual strike anyway... And without any chi... Fidessa trailed off in thought while Tia charged again.
Tia unleashed a handful of combination kicks. Front kicks, side kicks, round-house kicks, back kicks, twirling kicks, drop kicks, and all sorts of unique kicks Fidessa hadn't even really considered to be kicks. Fidessa parried and blocked each attack with a simple push or pull and was finally starting to ware Tia out. Fidessa then grabbed Tia's last round-house kick out of the blue and held her in place. "You're pretty good, but I'm just a bit too quick for you." fidessa praised Tia before moving in close along Tia's quarantined leg and karate chopping her chest a few times playfully before allowing Tia to fall down.
"Ow." Tia squeaked as she hit the ground. "Wow, you're pretty amazing, Dessa." Tia complimented as she stood up. "I feel like you're just a bit too good for me right now. Maybe one day I will beat you." Tia smiled with great big brown eyes. She was so happy she made a new friend.
"Ha thanks!" Fidessa replied. "Well, we can spar anytime you- wait... Dessa?" Fidessa stopped short of her sentence.
"Yeah, Dessa. Like Fidessa, but a bit shorter." Tia explained. "We sparred once, so I think I'm entitled to give you a nickname."
"Hmmm, I like it." Fidessa agreed. Better than FAX09...

Raegar let out a grunt and looked to Drustwn, "You were part of that? That's good. A respectable endeavor. I should go feast before someone tries to stick me with something to find out." He started to turn to walk out, "It is unfortunate Drustwn that you are not allowed to join the hunt. Your skills would be welcome." He bowed his head slightly and left to get some food.

William had been standing about for quite some time. He was starting to think that the Arena saw most of its us during the tournaments and from his generation of Hunters and Guardians. The tournament was still some ways off and a large chunk of his generation were busy attentng to their various punishments. Suddenly Will thought he heard something. A sound carrying down the elevator shaft from one of the upper floors. Curious, Will closed the gate and began to pull the lift up to the next floor. When he arrived he saw there was nobody on that floor and the sounds were still echoing down at him from above. Will continued to raise the elevator through the floors until he arrived at the topmost floor. The floor boasted one of the largest rings surrounded by rows of stadium seating and a steel and glass dome overtop to allow in plenty of natural light and also to clearly show off the height of the ring. Standing in the center of the ring were Tia and the girl from Axis, Fidessa, who appeared tobe in the midst of a sparring match. Will wondered breifly how either of them had gotten there and then pushed the thought from his head as he simply watched the fight. Damn, Axis sureknows how to make 'em. Will thought as he watched.
Roger and Dimitri were just finishing their meal when a guardsman appeared next to them. "Hunters Christos and Fenris?" The man asked. "That'd be us." Roger replied. "I was told to deliver this to you." The man held out a folded piece of paper. Roger took it. The guardsman saluted and then left. "Well?"Dimitri asked. Roger unfolded the paper and read it. He then held it out for Dimitri. "We're to accompany a Hunter named Raegar on a trip north to take out a pack of fiends. Valenti's orders." "Hmm, sounds like fun. I wonder who this Raegar character is?"
((Interesting note: I wrote this entire post on my DS.))

Fidessa's stomach abruptly growled. "Say, are you hungry?" Tia teased as she moved in closed to her. "A bit. Where do we go for food around here again?..." Fidessa asked with a slight chuckle. "Oh Dessa, how could you not remember where the cafeteria is?" Tia asked while putting her hands on his own hips as if to say, 'what will I ever do with you?' Fidessa laughed. "Oh you know, I'm just really new and somewhat forgetful..." "That's alright!" Tia exclaimed as she smacked Fidessa's shoulder. "I'll show you the way."
Meanwhile, Kiro had abandoned his punishment duties and was now lounging around in the cafeteria. He laid across one of the cafe tables on his back gnawing on some dried meat. There's no real point in giving us these random duties when there are others much more qualified to do them. Why not just send us on more missions or something?... Kiro thought to himself as he fumed.

Raegar piled his trays high with various meats paying little mind to the looks most of the staff gave him and waded out amongst the tables. He found a table that had only one person at it or rather on it would more accurately describe it, but no one else had bothered to sit there because of it. He loomed over the young man for a second as he placed his trays in the available space, sat down. His shovel of a hand scooping up a large turkey breast that seemed very small and tore most of the meat from it in a single bite.

Dimitri and Roger watched as a massive man walked into the cafeteria and piled multiple trays high with various kinds of meat and little if anything else. The huge man walked over to the table where Kiro was currently lazing and sat down, arranging his trays around the prone Hunter. "You don't think?" Dimitri asked, looking at the giant. "I don't recognize him. He could well be." Roger answered, also gazing at the huge man. "Well, what do you say we go find out. We can introduce ourselves and if he is this Raegar fellow then we can start planning the particulars of our mission." Dimitri said as he stood and picked up his still partly full tray. Roger didn't reply other than to also stand and pick up his tray as well. The two Hunters walked over to the table and stood a few feet away. "Greetings, Goodsir." Dimitri began. "Allow me to introduce ourselves. My name is Dimitri Fenris. This rakish looking individual here is my associate, Roger Christos. We were wondering, you wouldn't happen to be this Raegar fellow we keep hearing about would you?

Kiro had recognized Raegar from the stables when he arrived, but he didn't say anything to him as he sat down. He only glared for a moment before going back to relaxing. This guys smells like he's fresh off a battlefield or something... Where's this guy from? Kiro wondered.

Reagar noted the glare Kiro, an almost imperceptible and devilish smile crossed his face and was gone as his eyes shifted to the approaching corpsmen. As they introduced themselves he studied both. Christos' attire was plain and functional while the man who accompanied him, this Fenris seemed a fop.
Raegar cleaned the turkey leg with another bite as they spoke and set it down on his tray. He swallowed and licked his fingers clean. "I am." His eyes locked on Dimitri's as he extended a hand to him, "I presume you have received Valenti's request." Raegar nostrils visibly flared as he sniffed the air, "Is that perfume?"

"Only a touch of cologne, Mister Raegar." Dimitri said. "Anyway, I hear we're to work with you on a mission." "Yes," Roger said. "Could you tell us what we're going to be heading into?" The two sat down as well, carefully arranging their trays around the sprawled limbs of Kiro, who still lay atop the table. Roger glanced at the prone Hunter for a moment and thought to himself that it was amazing how quickly people adjusted to the unusual nature and habits of the Hunters and Guardians of the Corps once one was among them for even a short period of time.

Kiro grunted and cleared his throat. "So you guys are just going to have a war meeting around my relaxation spot and not invite me along?" He interrupted.
Meanwhile Tia led Fidessa to the cafeteria. "This way!" Tia pointed as she pulled on Fidessa's hand as they got in line for their choices of food, which was a free meal for Fidessa. Out of the corner of her eye Fidessa noticed Kiro and several others gathered around. She tried to keep her back to them to not draw attention to herself since she didn't belong inside the Corps. to begin with.
"Something wrong, Dessa?" Tia asked with a mouthful of food as she continued to fork more onto her plate.
"Oh its nothing! This all looks so delicious! I don't even know what to pick."
