Eternal Sailor Oberon

Peter had been perfectly content on his not-lunch-date with Haven. Talking about things they already talked about was easy enough, but he was almost disappointed at the sound of people in distress. Obviously he was going to power up and try to help, but that just meant he was going to miss out on another afternoon where neither of them were busy with other things.

“Maybe it’s just a drill,” Peter offered with a small shrug, although there was no way he could convince himself that was the case. He set the coffee cup that he was still sipping at down on the ground of the alley so he could also pull his pen from his pocket to power up.

The coffee cup was returned to his hand so he could continue sipping at it as he tried making heads or tails of the auras they both felt.

“Lots of youma,” he frowned, because while he was happy to research youma, a lot meant trouble for civilians.

“What the hell is the Negaverse doing in the middle of the afternoon??”

Cymophane

Two against one were not terrible odds, but the White Moon Senshi did not seem to be as ferocious as the rage on their face made them seem.

Cymophane ducked a punch thrown his way before Taenite arrived.

“First one to snatch her starseed wins,” Cymophane challenged him.

The Senshi threw a fist at him again. Cymophane dodged a second time. And a third. He let her waste whatever energy she deemed appropriate to expend on him, smiling as she snarled and cursed.

“You’re throwing yourself off balance,” he told her. Cymophane threw a proper punch to demonstrate, fist landing solidly against her jaw. As she stumbled back he said, “See? More like that.”

She spat more curses at him and uttered a couple of words that turned out to be a spell. Sparkly pink dust filled the air around him. Seconds later, Cymophane felt a bit woozy, like he’d had a little too much to drink. He steadied himself as best he could and used his own magic, swiping at her with three long, black claws of energy. Her pretty white dress tore, and she screamed as if she were in pain even if his magic drew no blood.

“Mine’s better,” he said, as the effects of her magic began to fade. He grabbed her while she was still wincing and groaning in pain, holding her tight after turning her around to face Taenite.

“I’ll give you this one,” Cymophane offered with a flirty smile. “Energy, starseed, take whichever you want.”

Corrupted Taenite

”That was so easy, I almost feel bad,” Taenite frowned as he watched Cymophane take on the Senshi, even as she used some sparkly dust to attack him. The claws were a nice touch, and Taenite would have loved to show off his magic, but… not this time.

“Hmm… I suppose we can let her fight another day,” he said as he held out his hand to drain her energy. “I also heard they’re more valuable the stronger the Senshi is. Maybe she’ll seek revenge later, and her starseed will be better then?” he shrugged, pulling the orb of energy away and putting it into his subspace pocket for safekeeping.

DMS Varda

She had been out that day making her way to the gym when the amount of people coming out of the Farnsworth building caught her attention. The building didn't look as though it had anything going on with it, but either there was a gas leak that the building had and they had decided not to warn anyone, or something else was going on.

She quickly made her way into one of the alleyways, making sure that she wasn't seen, before she powered up and immediately felt the presence of Agents. She also felt some White Moon and... something even more chaotic. A lot of them.

She jumped on the building she was next to, though it wasn't nearly as tall as the Farnsworth building and tried to look to see what was going on. Unfortunately the windows were black, which meant that she couldn't see inside of them. Still, it was definitely a Negaverse attack, and while she did drain energy from people, that didn't mean she wanted anyone to die.

She jumped down and made her way closer to the entrance of the building, sneaking her way in, making sure to try to lead anyone that she could out of the building if possible.

Squire Sumner

Honestly, he had no real reason to be near the building in the first place. He was just on his way back home after leaving his life guarding job near the lake. He didn't even notice that anything was different until he could see people pouring out of the Farnsworth building as he made his way through one of the alleyways, almost being bumped into by a couple of people who had decided that getting as far away as possible was the best idea.

It only took a moment, but when he looked he could have sworn that he saw something that wasn't right. A Youma? Nothing like what had attacked him at first, and he couldn't be sure of course, but it was enough to have him go back into the alleyway and power up, immediately with shivers going down his spine as he felt a large amount of chaos.

The Negaverse was up to something, and he needed to see what it was. He was a Squire now and while he hadn't powered up for some time, he couldn't neglect his duties at a time like this.

He managed to find the back exit and only just managed to make his way inside before anyone could question what the heck he was doing there.

And when he did get inside it was pure chaos. From what he could see, Youma were attacking civilians and there may have been some Order aura, but it was so completely covered by chaos that it was hard to tell who was there.

It seemed he might be on his own though, and decided that he needed to distract one of the Youma first to see if he could take it down. One less Youma meant one less person either being sapped of energy or even killed. His weapon was useless in that regard, as much as he liked the harp, but he could still use his fists and at least had some armor covering him.

He would have to figure out what was mainly going on later if someone didn't come to fill him in.

Squire Pendour

The youma wasn't so nimble that Pendour couldn't slip it with a few quick turns. The woman she was carrying seemed okay, overall, and although she didn't speak much, she went off quickly when Pendour let her go, murmuring a warning about staying inside.

That was when she heard someone calling out to her. Someone Chaos. Her gaze was frigid-cold as she turned to see a familiar Captain. Her brows knit as she glanced from his masked face to the limp figure in his arms.

"Paracelsian," she said, and her voice held none of its usual softness.

Pendour did not anger easily. In the war, she tried to see the other side of things, to look at the justifications that people had for their actions before going from there. Even under the most Machiavellian logic, though, she couldn't think of any benefits to attacking so many non-combatants all at once like this. It was senseless, and that made her skin crawl.

"Is this your better Negaverse?" she asked, taking a step towards him, "Or is this you still trying to earn respect in an organization that will never care what you think?"

She stepped closer, but not too close, wary of traps. One of her hands curled into a fist instinctively at her side, and she crossed her arms at her chest to keep herself from lashing out. She continued scanning the area as well as she could with her limited vision.

Ganymede (Eternal)

It was, by all accounts, a beautiful day. The sun was out (more or less), and the cold of winter was a distant memory. In any normal city, it would have been the perfect day for Paris to be out with her mother-in-law, enjoying a day of facials, mani-pedis, and maybe some fruity drinks before five o’clock.

Naturally, Destiny City had to prove once again that it was not a normal city.

She heard the fire alarms first, muffled a bit with distance, but it wasn’t long after that she saw the first terrified person running as fast as their legs could take them in the opposite direction. For a moment, Paris prayed it was just a drill, then, when that was obviously not the case, she hoped it was an actual fire, started by accident in some outdated office building. Maybe the wiring was bad. Maybe someone was stupid and put aluminium foil in the break room microwave.

Hearing someone shriek “Aaaahhhhhhhh, it’s a monster!” put those hopes to rest before she could build them up too high.

Damn this city. Damn the war. Damn the Negaverse.

“Let’s go this way,” Paris said before her mother-in-law could move closer to investigate. As they ducked around the corner, Paris told her, “Don’t freak out. I have to power up and take care of some things. I want you to get as far away from here as possible. And call 911.”

Theoretically, they were already being inundated with calls from the fleeing civilians, but the task should hopefully keep Momma occupied.

Paris dug through her purse for her Senshi pen and transformed, slightly embarrassed by her ridiculous fuku in front of her mother-in-law, but now wasn’t really the time for that. At least Momma already knew that she was a Senshi.

As Ganymede, she peeked around the corner to survey the scene, summoning her Senshi phone from subspace, which she used to send out a distress signal.

“Don’t these people have jobs?” she muttered to herself. “Jesus, get a life.”

Claire Gallo - Civilian

It was indeed a beautiful day, and Claire was enjoying her time with her daughter-in-law. And although it was troubling to hear that there were people in distress, she was thrilled to be able to see Ganymede’s beautiful--

“Oh, I thought you were going to wear your gown,” she said, sounding only a tiny bit deflated after a buildup of excitement at being able to see her powered up. “Not that you don’t look stunning, Precious.”

She supposed she shouldn’t complain. She hadn’t actually seen Ganymede’s Senshi outfits before, but she’d insisted on hearing full detail.

“Oh, yes, of course,” Claire agreed to call 911 and opened her handbag for her phone to dial the appropriate number. She had always been curious about the magical life her children lived, but she never had the chance to be so up close. Yes, there was likely danger around the corner, but they were there to help!

Corrupt Eternal Cybele

The strong Chaos aura broke through the Order ones before Cybele could even tuck the pen away again. The thud of senshi heels on alley dirt kept her from celebrating too much. The Super had caught up to her.

At least her punches did not have quite the same force behind them with the Knight preoccupied, although Cybele was quickly tiring, too.

That was when she saw the Knight get in a proper hit on Kamacite, and slam the other Corrupt into a wall. Something dropped in Cybele's stomach. This was the opposite of what she'd wanted.

As the senshi threw another fist at her, Cybele vanished from where she was standing, and she appeared behind the knight while he was occupied. Her jaw was clenched so tightly that her teeth hurt, and there was a sharpness in her eyes that hadn't been there before.

"Get away from him," she growled. She kicked out. Her shoe connected with the small of his back. He went flying into the wall, and Cybele's lips turned upward at being able to give him a taste of her own medicine.

"Thank you," she said. That was directed at Kamacite, but she didn't take her gaze off her target, and her voice was still low.

Eternal Takamizawa

It hadn't been too long since he had last powered up, perhaps a month or so, but he had still felt guilty about not doing so. He was an eternal now. He couldn't just go and abandon his duties because he had made it to the final stage, even if he was pre-med. And he felt like he was dragging his feet through mud.

Powering up was a way to get his mind off of studying for a bit and he had hoped for a peaceful sunset and night of patrol.

As soon as he had powered up though, his phone was ringing like crazy and when he checked there was a distress signal from... a Senshi he had never met before, but he was sure that it was genuine. After all, he didn't think that the Negaverse could hack their phones.

He made his way over as quickly as he could, thankful that his uniform didn't look too out of place, so seeing a "doctor" get to the scene would be reassuring to anyone who may have been looking. It was just the butt wings that were out of place, and he often wondered why something cosmetic had to be there.

When he was finally able to take the scene in though it was pure chaos, and not just from the chaos auras that he could feel around the entire area. He cursed under his breath, wondering where the heck all of the Order were. Even if he hadn't met that many, there surely had to be more right?

Unfortunately from what he could tell, his powers would be of no use healing people, so he would have to concentrate on fighting and getting civilians away. While he was scanning the area though, he found one Order that he had seen before, but she appeared to be preoccupied, he would have left her to what she needed to do until he saw who she was talking to. He could have sworn...

"Pendour!" He yelled as he caught up to her and whom he assumed was Paraclesian. They had fought once, barely an encounter, though he was sure of it, but he appeared to have upgraded since then. He made sure to check around that there were no surprise attacks as he made his way to the side of the Squire. He looked at Paraclesian. "We've fought before, though you may not remember."

Paracelsian wasn't quite sure what kind of reaction he expected from Pendour, but to see the Squire that had looked at him so sadly give him such a steely gaze now sent a shudder through him. She radiated anger, not blazing but coiled under restraint just so. He doubted that she would strike him, but she would be justified in doing so.

When challenged, Paracelsian shook his head. "No," he murmured. "This is unconscionable. I was left in the dark but in no position to refuse." A beat passed. "Please, help me get this one to safety-"

At that point, an Eternal Senshi cut in between them. It took Paracelsian a moment for the recognition to click into place, but eventually it did. Even as a basic senshi way back when, this one had utterly frightening magic. "Ah? Yes, you. I am flattered that you remember me. And..." He gave a slight bow here, best he could while holding a drained civilian. "Congratulations on your... promotion."

Eternal Sailor Megrez

Megrez was absolutely not one to let a distress signal slide, even with how complicated things had gotten. She almost literally dropped what she was doing and ran off to power up, then took a shortcut across the rooftops to get to the source the of the signal. When she finally hit the ground, it was near a familiar face. "Gany?" she called out, grinning at the familiar charming fuku. Undeniably, the woman was fortunate enough to be blessed with senshi style.

There was a civilian nearby as well. Megrez didn't know her but figured that she was in good company from her proximity to Ganymede. She shot her an awkward little smile and wave. "Hi, um, sorry that you're tangled up in this."

Sailor Makhaon

Even if she had civilian errands to run, Sailor Makhaon never, never, never went anywhere without her henshin pen. Evildoers were everywhere, and she refused to get stuck on the sidelines due to being unprepared. She powered up the second she heard the distress signal, invited a certain reliable Super Senshi to come check it out with her (she'd already helped her on one mission, surely she'd be up for another?), and dashed to the scene of the crime.

However, her backup was not there to meet her. Makhaon pretended to wait for all of one minute, then got fed up and took off, zipping towards the entrance the building. She was going to get as many people out as possible and grind any Chaos agents she found to dust. Unleashing this many monsters in the city, in a zone completely full of civilians no less, was utterly reprehensible. She was armed with a fist full of justice, and she was going to make sure these scumbags felt it.

Super Sailor Sadachbia

Sadachbia heard the senshi text ding go off in her head and sighed deeply at her desk. She had things to do and papers to fill out, but even she knew better than to think Chaos took breaks for schoolwork. Clearly, the Negaverse cared nothing for mundane college grades (or even high school grades). Grumbling a bit as she left her room, she tucked herself into a nook and powered up to read the text.

Chaos trouble downtown.
Be there or be square!

Makhaon had sent it. Right. That idiot who was charging headlong into every warehouse she could find to set captive senshi free and probably would have gotten totally skewered by Megrez's captor if she hadn't intervened. That kind of zeal was cute and reminded her of her younger self, but she also hoped that she wasn't that obnoxious about it. In any case, there was work to be done.

Sadachbia's timing was such that she was able to drop down right next to Makhaon. The younger senshi skidded to a halt. "There you are! I was worried you weren't gonna show for a second," Makhaon said.

"People have to move through time and space to get places, you know," Sadachbia muttered. "This is a damn mess. I bet you were heading right into the building to fight the big boss, right?"

"Well, yeah, someone's gotta stop 'em! And they might be holding civilians hostage, so I gotta get them out too!" Makhaon was grinning as though this was the simplest mission in the world.

Sadachbia exhaled heavily through her nose. "Count me in, even it if it's just to make sure you don't get your starseed yanked right out of the gate." It sounded unusually cynical coming from her, but it was a valid concern. "Let's get moving."

The two advanced on the building's entrance, keeping an eye out for new youma appearances and stray civilians.

Sailor Fomalhaut

Fomalhaut had her reasons for not wanting to power up today. She wanted to go around town and do a perfectly normal shopping trip and put something in particular out of her mind. Said shopping trip put her in range of the distress signal, and it was impossible to say that she didn't hear it. She knew she could have still pretended nothing was wrong, that she was a normal civilian and she could just walk away, but she didn't. She couldn't, when it came down to it. As long as she was an Order senshi with a planet somewhere out there, she was going to have to fight off the forces of Chaos.

And, in less dramatic terms, the Negaverse was still pretty nasty, and they needed to be taken down a peg whenever possible..

So she showed up on the scene, and she tried to slip through the pandemonium towards the building at the center of it all. She knew better than to try and take on the mastermind, but if there were smaller fries around and people who needed saving, she would handle those to the best of her ability.

Corrupt Cymophane

Cymophane let the Senshi fall once she was drained. She landed in a rather uncomfortable position on her side, arm twisted beneath her, so Cymophane, being kind, nudged her onto her back with his foot.

He considered breaking her nose, just so she’d have something to remember him by, but it became clear to him very quickly that this Senshi had distracted both him and Teanite from their duties at both entrances.

And now at least one person who was not part of the mission had made their way inside.

“Were we ever told what to do about that?” he asked Taenite, motioning in the direction of the figure that managed to slip in. A Dark Mirror Senshi, maybe? Cymophane had no idea; he’d never seen one.

No sooner were the words out of his mouth than Cymophane noticed at least three more combatants approaching the entrance, and these were definitely White Moon.

He summoned his communication device to try and get in touch with Faustite, or at least anyone stronger and more authoritative than two basic corrupt Senshi.

“Hey, so, ummm,” he began. “Cymophane here. I know Taenite and I are supposed to be herding civilians out of the building—And hey! A Senshi came out almost right away, so she definitely works here. Oh, but that’s not the point. The point is, if they happen to get through the perimeter, should we be doing anything about people going in? And by people I mean other versions of Senshi? Because there’s at least one who got inside and a few more on the way. Should we engage, or… are there plans for anyone dumb enough to go inside? Because, yeah, that’s happening.”

Where was the Captain who was commanding the youma? Should they maybe get him on that? With all the activity going on — civilians running all over the place, people screaming, Senshi approaching — Cymophane lost track of him almost right away. After a quick glance around the area, Cymophane found him, only he seemed to be battling a Super senshi.

“This is already a mess,” Cymophane decided, sparing another glance for Taenite. “Do we help the Captain? Do we stay at the doors? Do we let those three in?”

Capt. Chambersite

There wasn't really a way to figure out who was luckier in this case. Was it Chambersite who managed to get the Super Senshi to break out of a glass door from another room, or was it the Corrupts near him who at least had the Captain in the same area as they were.

There wasn't time to think or analyze it, not until later if they could get any camera footage at all. As he was fighting with the Senshi he noticed the two and yelled "Hey, you two help me so I can get back to doing my assignment!" He said, ordering the Corrupted Senshi.. Though if they refused to do so he would continue with the fight anyway. He couldn't let the Senshi just continue to attack him after all, but any help, even from those who were of a lower rank than him would be better than nothing! He re-summoned his dagger and aimed it at the side of the Super Senshi hoping that it would be embedded.
