 Lexi gratefully took the sandwich. She had to admit she was a little tired... for now. Children always do bounce back fast don't they? On command, she pushed herself to her feet and trailed after Dante like a lost puppy. She so desperately felt the need to hold his hand, so much that she had to force herself to not reach out and grab it. He'd probably just get mad... She thought as they returned to the bar.
Bombarded. That's the word she would use. The people inside the bar wouldn't stop talking to her and giving her pats on the head. They tried to bribe her with foods and such. Some man even came up to ask her 'how much for a night'. Lexi wasn't entirely sure what he meant by that, or why he'd be asking her. It's not like she ran an inn. "Go ask her." She told him, pointing at the woman behind the bar. Despite all the offers, it was only proper of Lexi to rudely refuse. "No, I only sit with Dante!" On that note, she pulled herself up into the stool; choosing to ignore the small collection of people still trying to tempt her over. (( Well isn't she just spiffy ? XD ))

Then laugh at your rotting corpse... As Lexi took a seat next to Dante, he simply smirked for a moment, before his lips dropped back down to their normal position. Tho when the others wouldn't shut up about wanting Lexi them selves, Dante simply turned his head to the left, as if to look at Lexi, and in an instant they all shut up. Dante's head slowly moved back to it's original position as well as the barmaid finally came to Lexi. "You did well hun! At this rate you might even surpass Dante... you know he was a bit of a wimp when he was you age" She whispered to Lexi. Dante simply flicked a spoon at the girl. The spoon hit her dead on in the forehead, knocking her back off her feet, as she fell tot he floor. "I believe there's some perverted man over there calling for you" He said referring to the fat Pirate Captain waving a large bag of money about. "You did pretty well for one so young child..." An old mans voice would come from behind Lexi and Dante as the bar become deathly silent.
"Maybe you do have what it takes to be in this cocky bastards crew after all..." The old man said patting Dante's head. "Father!" The barmaid yelled diving to grab the old mans arm away from Dante's head. "What is is dear... you know he won't do anything to me... nor could he if he wanted to... he knows it just as well as anyone else here..." A coy grin grew across Dante's face. "you're getting cocky old man..." Dante said as a gasp came from the people in the bar. The old man's eye's narrowed as he slowly reached forward to grab Dante's shoulder, tho stopped as his gaze shifted to Lexi. He let his arm drop as he sighed and smiled at Lexi. "so what's your name dear?" He asked her as a loud sigh from everyone in the bar could be heard.  The only thing that follows me is darkness...

"No one can beat Dante." The girl protested, shaking her head profusely. "Everyone knows that." Honestly, these people apparently didn't have any common knowledge. Stupid grownups. An elderly man began speaking to her, preventing the girl from insulting the woman any further. He smells funny... yuck."Alexandria Starling, but people call me Lexi." She announced, but hastily added in a stern tone, "Never call me Alexandria though. It makes me mad." The child then proceeded to smile brightly, trying to act friendly to the geezer even if she didn't like how he smelt. (( @_@ couldn't stand all the pink anymore. XD )))

"Because he's gonna be king of the pirates." Lexi replied, sneaking an admiring glance in Dante's direction. She'd honestly gotten a bit tired of repeating her story so many times, but at least she had her king with her. "I'm gonna be the princess of the pirates, and I won't take no for an answer." She took a moment to finish off the sandwich before turning to her king. Well I probably should call him captain now... "Mr. Dante, what do we do now?"

Then laugh at your rotting corpse... The old man simply stared at the girl after her response as he burst out into laughter. "Young upstarts like Dante could never become King of the Pirates child!" He said as everyone else in the bar burst out laughing yet again as well. A coy grin simply rested on Dante's lips however as he finished his drink. "Tell me old man... everyone here fears you simply because you've been to the grand line... but in truth... you went to the grand line and couldn't even make it past the first group of pirates you came across" He said reaching into his shirt. "as well... I happened to find this on a marine ship not to long ago..." He said pulling out a wanted poster. On it was a picture of a scrawny looking man, that looked much like a younger version of the old man behind them. On it it read "WANTED: Hurricane of the east Blue. Bounty: 10,000,000 Belli". Dante set the wanted poster down on the bar counter as he simply laughed quietly. "You see old man... you hate me so much simply because I've already gone past your bounty... and you try to use your negative words into tricking me, and others that come here into thinking they could never make it to the grand line... while in truth you couldn't make it... And you simply want to drag others down with you..." He said as the old mans face turned red with anger...
"D-Dante... You... little brat!" The old man yelled as he quickly reached forward to grab Dante. Tho before he could, Dante had quickly turned around, before grabbing the old man by his chest, and leaning forward into a step. He quickly smashed the old man down against the ground, breaking the floor beneath them, and causing wind to burst upwards, blowing his cape up revealing the various holed and stab marks through all his clothing... Dante just had this calm grin on his face tho... "I'm getting pretty sick of your crap old man... every time a pirate comes in here, you act like you're the best, and can't be beaten... I'm gonna show you and everyone else here just how easy it is to beat a pathetic lier like you..." He said before letting go. "but then again... your daughter lives here to... so I suppose destroying this place and you with it isn't the best of ideas... count your self lucky old man..." Dante said as he headed for the door slowly. "Come Lexi!" He called out.
Dante exited the bar as the barmaid from before was already kneeling down at her fathers side. "As for what we do now... well... we're pirates Lexi... we go where the winds take us... tho I suppose in the sense of aiming for a goal... we're going to want to find up a crew... preferably a navigator and a cook for you... then a shipwright... seeing as you enjoy causing damage to our ship..." He said with sigh at the holes that would be waiting for them back at the ship... He took a seat on a bench off to the side of the dirt road they'd been walking on as he leaned his head back. "So for now... we'll wait a little bit... and see if we can hear or find any leads on one of the three people we need at the moment... You can wonder around and ask about if you'd like... just make sure you stay within eye shot of me... I don't want anyone kidnapping my first crew member... a little girl like you would be a prime target for some of the types of people around here..." He mumbled sounding sleepy. The only thing that follows me is darkness...

The little girl laughed on their way out of the door, dragging her umbrella behind her once more. No one was a match for Dante, and what just happened only furthered this girl's belief in that statement. She excitedly skipped behind Dante, whose steps were long; she had to be fast to keep up. Lexi only smiled innocently upon the mentioning of her 'love for breaking the ship'. It's not like she had meant too, she was just not entirely used to being able to control her weight. "Okay Mr. Dante." She nodded at his instructions, and darted off to go ask people about pirate positions; but never getting out of Dante's sight.

Lexi had been running around for a long time now, and although people tried to stop and talk to her; she found nobody that she felt was worth her King's time. Turning around, she made her way back to Dante's side. "No, they're all losers..." She frowned. (( T__T sooo short ))

The Drunk
From a near by pub, August stumbles out into the rain. He was singing an old sea shanty, staggering about as he made his way down the road. There was a half empty bottle in his hand and a full one in each coat pocket. For a man of his breed, nothing could be better.
As he belted out the last verse of his song (horribly out of tune), August paused for dramatic effect. Then he promptly forgot what he was doing in the middle of a street in a down poor. Looking around to find his bearings, he noticed a little girl with an umbrella near by. He made his way toward her.
"Ah, what a sweet little lass! -Hic- Do ya think you could help an old sailor find his inn, my little darling?" August bent down to be level with the girl and smiled sweetly, then took a swig from his bottle.

Lexi's head lifted to the sound of something awful; a drunk man singing. She turned towards the source of the noise and stared the man down with a powerful princess scowl. Despite her 'threatening' glares, the man made his way over and proceeded to talk to her. Lexi wrinkled her nose in disgust, sickened just by the way he smelled. "No way! I don't like you." She told him before spontaneously throwing her foot out to kick him in the shin.

The Drunk
"Yeouch!" August dropped his bottle to rub his shin. It shattered on the cobblestone road, spilling rum everywhere. "For such a sweet face, you're a feisty little thing, aren't ya? No look here! You wasted perfectly good rum! -Hic- That is a problem." He looked sadly at the broken glass on the street. There was nothing worse than wasted rum. It was rum, wasn't it? Maybe it was whiskey. Or mead. Nothing is worse than wasted mead.
Thankfully, August had another bottle in his coat. He happily popped the cork and took a swig. 'Ah, nothing is better than a cold beer!' he hummed to himself. Then the old man noticed the girl again. "Say, whatsa little scrap like you doin' here anyway? Don't your parents know there are tough men in these parts?" August asked with a cocked eyebrow.
