Mana~
Mana felt someone staring at her as she came in, and saw a young girl sitting in the corner. She had looked away and was now staring into her cup, looking downcast. The half-Teru girl pitied her, for she looked exhausted, and lonely. She approached the girl. "Hey... is everything okay, Miss?" When the girl's stomach growled, Mana grinned a bit. "A little hungry, I take it? Well, lemme have a seat. My name's Mana, what's yours?" Recieving no response right away, she decided to try another tactic. "What would you like to eat? My treat!" She winked at the girl. "The only thing I ask for in return is your name, and I wanna know what's got you looking so down in the dumps!"

Hikari~
Hikari eyed the girl suspiciously. She looked friendly and harmless, but she couldn't be trusted. Like all humans. She noticed the gun strapped to Mana's waist and shrunk back. "...Not that hungry..." She muttered and looked away. "I really should be going now." She stood up and her stomach betrayed her once again. Her arms wrapped around her middle protectively and she blushed slightly. "Not that hungry..." She reiterated.

Mana~
"Okay, fine. I don't need to know that much about you, but y'know, it'd be really nice to know your name so I don't have to call you 'Hey, you' while we eat. You know, good manners and stuff," Mana stood up and put a hand on the other's arm, pushing her back down in her seat. "Look, I can tell, you're nearly starved. It looks like you've been through quite a bit these past few weeks. So just stay, I'll order us up something good, okay?" She waved over a waitress. "Hey, my friend and I would like to know the specials you guys have right now."The waitress nodded. "We have our delicious beef pot for only 50 leaf a pie." "100 leaf for us two to eat? Sheesh, that's steep," Mana whistled. "Well, I guess you got me." She shrugged. "Okay, it sounds good. Oh, and bring over a nice big keg of ale for the both of us!""Certainly, that's 25 leaf extra." The waitress was writing on the tab. "Yeah, yeah, just hurry up and bring it, will ya?" She stayed quiet as they waited for the food, just observing the girl in front of her. She could tell that the girl seemed to be uneasy around her, and everyone else for that matter. She obviously wasn't a very open person, nor was she much of a conversationalist. I wonder what's wrong with this girl? She seems really helpless. I wonder if there's anything I can help her with? Besides, Sis can wait a little bit longer. It's not like my Aunt really gives a hoot if I'm there or not. Her thoughts were interrupted when the food was set in front of her. "Well, whaddaya say? Let's eat up, shall we?" She grabbed a fork and dug in.

-With his eyes shut, his mouth twitched involuntarily at the word Teru, he reached up to his head for his head wrap, "Horns?" Ishira undid the cloth wrapped around his head and held it with one hand while the other hand pointed to his tiny dark horns, "Like these?" He grinned, "Now I can't show you the tail seeing as I hid it in the trousers.." he laughed nervously, "So you must be my contact," he changed the subject quickly when everyone around them stopped to stare at his horns.
People began to talk, "What is a Teru doing here?" "Is he allowed here?"Ishira became wary of the whispers and re-wrapped his head to cover his horns, he did not feel comfortable hiding his horns, they were a sign of his heritage.

Shun Shun had just awakened from his long nap. He was unsure when he had fell asleep, how long he was asleep and what he was doing before he fell asleep. He sat there for a couple mintues trying to recall, when a shock of fear ran through his body. He remebered that someone had knocked him out when he was trying to protect the goddess. He quickly stode up and ran to the godesse's room, but when he arived the room was empty. Shun ran out to the edge of the hevans to look for the goddess.

 "Thank goodness I was so worried that I wasn't going to meet up with you."
 "Sorry that I am so late, the contact that really was supposed to meet you got called to the Altar of the Goddess. So I had to come myself. And as you can see, I'm not very familar with Pallieu."
Rhaplanca had become a little irritated at the stuck up reyvateils whispering about her new acquaintance. Her patience with their ignorance of the problems around them ran out. So she decided to passive aggressively put an end to it. She spoke a little louder so their audience could hear.
 "I am Rhaplanca, the one who sent for a vanguard. I'm from the Eve of Reyvateils and I have been sent by the Goddess."
Rhaplanca smirked as the masses shuffled nervously away. Ignorant aristocrats... if they knew the Goddess were missing I wonder if they would still be so prying and judging.

She watched Mana eat for a bit. Hikari didn't want to take any handouts from strangers, but she could already feel her mouth watering. Her stomach was protesting as well. But she felt that she couldn't just start stuffing her face without giving Mana something she'd asked for. "Hikari..." She mumbled. Then added, "My name, I mean..." The Reyvateil took a bite, then another, and another. Soon, it was gone, and she blushed when her stomach let out another loud growl. "Um..."

The half-Teru raised an eyebrow as she watched Hikari eat. "So I was right. You were starving." She chuckled a bit when Hikari's stomach growled once again. "And you're still pretty hungry, it would seem." She waved down a waitress. "Hey, can I get another of those beef pots?" While she waited, she poured some ale into Hikari's cup and her own. "Here, drink up. You'll feel better." She downed her cup in one sitting. When the waitress brought the second helping, she motioned for the plate to be set in front of the girl.

Ishira was speechless for a moment, he did not expect this girl to be the Reyvateil he was to protect. She seemed so nice, he choked as he spoke, "You're Rhaplanca? The Reyvateil I am to protect? You're not what I expected at all," before Rhaplanca could be offended he added, "It's not a bad thing at all, I was worried that everyone up here was cold and distant." He laughed nervously and looked away, "No offense."

 "None, taken. Though I would try to be understanding of us being so close to the Goddess that we are a little.. "wary" to put it nicely. I do apologize on behalf of my people however." Rhaplanca shuffled nervously afraid to offend her new acquaintance.
"So allow me to cordially invite you to Pallieu, city of Reyvateils! It is getting quite late so we should head to the inn. If you are not too tired I could debrief you on our mission, what do you say?"

Ishira felt ashamed for his remark and lowered his head, "Right... forget about what I said, culture shock and what not." She didn't seem to say it out of anger and even sincerely welcomed Ishira.
He was grateful for the change in subject but he did not expect that they would be staying at an inn, "An inn? Will you be staying there too? Wouldn't you rather be at home?" Ishira began to calculate the leaf that he saved up for this journey.

"Sorry, I live in the Eve of Reyvateils. Only Pure-blooded ß Reyvateils, ß-types and the Goddess are allowed to set foot upon the holy land. Anyone else found to be trespassing is punishable by execution by the guardian of the Goddess... another one of our 'wary' attributes."
"However the council of Reyvateils have authorized me to to stay anywhere in Pallieu for free. Besides how fair would it be that I requested that you leave your home only to allow myself to stay at my own?
"Only I don't have a clue where the inn is." Rhaplanca laughed despite her embarassment, "So we may have to explore a little longer."

Ishira sighed with relief at the word 'free' but he disguised it as his relief of knowing where the inn is, "Well it's your lucky day, I happened to have passed an inn a total of 5 times looking for this place," he announced proudly in sarcasm. Yue, who had remained hidden behind Ishira's shoulder at this point lazily crawled up over Ishira's shoulder and looked interested in Rhaplanca, "Oh were are my manners? Rhaplanca, this is Yue my spirit familiar. Yue, this is Rhaplanca our new travel companion. Be charming and say hello, Yue," Ishira signaled at Rhaplanca. Yue sniffed at Rhaplanca and let out a short, "Nyu," Then quick as a flash he jumped from Ishira's shoulder to Rhaplanca's, "Oh looks like he's taken a liking to you?" Ishira laughed. Yue then crawled down Rhaplanca's front-side and began to rummage into a pouch pocket attached to Rhaplanca's garter belt, "Oh- HEY! Get outta there!" Before Ishira could try to pull Yue away, the little beast emerged with a small pastry in a wrapper. He flew to the top of Ishira's head and pulled the wrapper of and popped the treat in his mouth in one fluid motion, "You little bugger! You can't just take from people," he grabbed for Yue but the beast leaped from his head and floated just outta reach with a protest, "Nyuu!"

Once Rhaplanca saw Yue she thought he was the cutest thing. And when Yue leaped to her shoulder she reached to pet him.
"Aren't you just the cutest little thing?" she asked as her fingers brushed the soft fur on top of Yue's head. But instantly after the brief pet the little beast dashed down her chest and into her supply pouch.
 "H-hey, that tickles!" When he stole her pastry she had purchased earlier that day. She looked in surprise as the little guy inhaled the treat. She laughed at how he made a fool of Ishira when he tried to catch him.
"And a litterer too," she said as she knelt down to pick up the paper wrapper and came back up with a smile, "A fan of funbuns too, huh?" Rhaplanca pulled another treat from her pouch and held it out, "What do you say to a trade? One more in return for letting me hold you until we reach the inn?"

The Reyvateil looked back at Mana uncertainly a moment before starting once again. She'd nearly finished the second helping before she started feeling full. She took a sip of the drink in front of her and sheepishly glanced over to Mana, then stared at her lap. "Thank you, but... why are you helping me?" Hikari couldn't fathom the reason. Which was why it made her all the more uneasy.
