My parents didn't react too badly... Mum was sort of wierded out and was like ...Why?...O_o But I think Dad was actually quite pleased. Once I over heard him talking to Mum about it, and he said, "I really don't mind if Rachel wants to be a goth; infact I'm quite glad she does. It shows she has the strength of will and individuality to be what she wants regardless of what other people think."
As you can imagine, this really made me smile. It's nice to know that someone in my family understands me! 3nodding heart

It was more of a gradual thing for me. It started in late 7th grade with black clothes. Then came the blck hair, then the 10 piercings I happily aqcuired within my 8th grade, and 8th grade summer. Now my hair is short. (Used to be long). And wierdly it looks JUST like my avatars...My parents say "its just a phase", but I've been goth for...idk, like 2 years or something now. And when they say that I just laugh and think that someday I'll prove them wrong! Haha to them!

well if you want to get technical I'm not that gothic anymore, but when I did go gothic, my dad freaked s**t, my mom was like, eh...and my grandparents looked at me wierd. Great times.

well when i went goth and confronted my parents about me being gothic my mom was lik " you cant be gothic becuz gothic kids dont lik black ppl" ( o i'm mized with black by the way) then my dad was lik " idc rly" but my mom is all christian and s**t but my family besides my dad lil bit rnt very acceotant bout me being african american/ native american and Goth they think i need to dress ghetto and stuff -.-
