((So to recap: Lin is in trouble because Danni is being a jealous hormonal b***h and played a potentially harmful prank in her name. Congrats, aren't we all so mature? In the meantime, Ialo has discard his humanity in favor of revenge, Kai and Skia have taken one of Slime's logbooks, and Seven and Alec are having a deep conversation while trying to come up with a case to free Ialo - who by the way, may or may not be a homicidal maniac when he gets released.))

{{Umm, I'm confused. Where is Ambrose in all of this? Haven't seen him in awhile. And when has Ialo been Athena and Danni's play toy? I know I've been skipping the posts between Seven and Alec, but I didn't think I missed something like that where students started to view their headmaster as a play thing and wanted to touch his chest... And what French text has Lin read that Danni can't seem to? I'm very confused.}}

Cuwen {{That is awesome!! biggrin That's the mark of a truly exceptional writer. smile }} Lin couldn't help but blush deeply as Dymetri looked at her. He gazed at her with such reverence and awe. Lin was certain that she didn't deserve all of that, but she drunk it in anyway. She consumed every memory, every look, every feel. She felt as if she were in Heaven right now. "Oh Dymetri... You are far too sweet to me sometimes. I love you so much." She thought that Dymetri usually had an exceptional memory and was somewhat surprised when he said he didn't remember his class schedule, but perhaps he had never glanced at it and didn't want to let Lin know that. He probably knew that she'd scold him, which she probably would, but only good naturedly. "Well we will have to make sure that we arrive back at school at a decent time so that you can check your schedule and have enough time go to make it to your first class on time." She thought about what Dymetri had said about the forest creatures. "Hmm. Those almost sound like creatures that would live deep within the forest. What about on the outside? Any elemental creatures?" When she didn't hear a response for awhile, she looked away from her coffee and looked back at Dymetri. She frowned in concern at the faraway look on his face. "Dymetri? Dymetri, are you alright?" {{For Victoria. smile }}

((Yes, you did miss it. From about the beginning of the story, Danni and Athena have made a game out of stalking Ialo. I am dead serious. It is creepy. It has gotten to the point that Danni does in fact, have a crush on Ialo. And it doesn't matter whether or not Lin has actually read anything in French, the post is from Danni's point of view, and Danni does not like Lin, and Danni is viewing anything she's having difficulty with disgust, because she's jealous of Lin and thinks the elf would be able to do everything perfectly.
Naturally, it's not going to make sense, this is teen drama at its finest, and that never makes sense.
And on that note, you really should go back and read what's been going on between Alec and Seven. It doesn't matter if you think its gross that a man and a robot like it each, the fact remains that right now, they're the only ones doing anything productive towards getting Ialo released. Since the point you stopped reading, some important things cropped up - off the top of my head, there was some exposition on Ialo and Seven, there was a excellent conversation on concepts of humanity such as love and altruism, not to mention that plans are being made to put up a huge 108 layer barrier around the school.))

Ambrose worked for many hours on his training, switching between concentrating on things Lin taught him and trying not to touch her. He was a gentleman, god damn it. His father had raised him right. He knew better than to want to...whatever it was he wanted.
"This shall come in handy, Lin. I thank you." He said, picking up one of the skeleton heads that had fallen off one of the dummies and pushing it back into place. Just a bit too hard that time, it seemed.

Alec's eyebrow raised ever so slightly at Seven's comment. "Really? Was that something Ialo programmed you to do?"

"How else would I have been able to do it?" she quipped, brushing that long curl behind her ear. "Being able to form a relationship is fundamental to life. I have always cared, and there have always been others that are significant to me."
"From the beginning, I was created to observe and collect data, and to protect Master Ialo, as well as our immediate family. I am also programmed to take the course of action that will save as many lives as possible." Her eyes lost focus, as her attention was diverted to bringing up old files.
"He programmed us all to be obedient to him, but he allowed room for respect to come naturally. I think he understands something that I have yet to figure out."

Aaand, I figure Lin doesn't know about what's going on, either one of them, so it's okay if I don't. You have mentioned that you don't like really graphic scenes. Well, the robot/human thing really creeps me out, so I just can't read it. We all have our limits and things we don't want to read/do. That's one of mine. And clowns. Plus, I want to keep both Lins in the 'innocence' of school right now. It's more fun RPing them concerned about classes and grades instead of war.}}
Lin smiled brightly at Ambrose. "You did it! You have learned so much already! I am very proud of you, Ambrose. Your ability to learn and apply what you have learned so quickly is astounding and..."
Her words halted as she caught sight of a cut on Ambrose's right elbow. Perhaps one of the plastic bones on the skeletons had cut his elbow. They were quite sharp.
She nodded to the chair at the teacher's desk. "Will you sit down, please, Ambrose? You have a cut on your elbow and I can heal it for you, if you wish."

Alec nodded his head in agreement with Seven. "Maybe." And it was with that thought that Alec began to think about Ialo again, and think about his predicament. And here he was still discussing things with Seven, not working on getting Ialo out of prison. True, their discussion hadn't been entirely without merit, but there were more important things at hand, and they were both deviating from them.
Alec shook his head slightly to clear his mind and looked up at Seven with determination in his eyes. "And as interesting as this conversation is we still need to get Ialo out of prison." Alec sat back and thought about what they needed to know about Silas to even begin to build a case against him. It was then that Alec came to the simple conclusion: he himself knew next to nothing about Silas as well. The first rule of war was "Know thy enemy." If Alec was even going to think about attacking Silas he needed to get a feel for who the man was. With this in mind, Alec looked up at Seven and politely asked, "Seven, could you please bring up some recent news articles about Silas and his business? We need to know more about the man before we can even begin to think about how to build a case against him."

Seven nodded. "Understood." She slid off Alec's desk, her feet lightly touching the floor as she stood up. "Because of the trial, many investors having been selling stock from the Enlil Corporation, and buying from Lyme Industries. New York Times. Last month's issue of Time magazine has a feature of Lime Industries' new automatons."
She paused, and added dryly. "An internal Enlil Corp. memo circulated at the same time, warning employees that all projects were highly classified and that they would be prosecuted for leaking company secrets."

Alec grabbed his bottom chin in thought, pondering over what Seven said. New automatons? That sounded more like Ialo's territory. What, was Silas trying to one-up Ialo at his own game or something? He certainly wasn't doing it to help better mankind, that was for sure. And since automatons were mostly aesthetic playthings, Alec couldn't see why Silas would drop money into making new robots for science.
Alec had to know more about this. He looked back at Seven and asked again, "Seven, could I see that specific article? Any pictures of the new robots would help too. I want to find out why Silas would drop money into an expensive project which gets virtually no return profit."

Seven nodded again, and waved her hand through the air, her holographic display appearing again, flipped around so Alec could read the article from where he was sitting, along with some photos.
"Perhaps because he is unaware of Master Ialo's motives, and therefore cannot understand our purpose?"
