She smiled and nodded her head. "That's what I thought at first, but some of them are surprisingly hard. They just look easy." She laughed as she thought back to all of the times that she had lost when the games seemed so easy. Shaking her head she looked back at him. "But I've played enough games, and I don't think I need any more familiars."
Looking around she wondered if there was anything else for them to do while they chatted. "So, have you decided what you are going to do after you finish school?" It wouldn't be long for either of them now, so she wondered what he was going to do. Some seniors planned on continuing school, while others were done, she wondered which he was.
Cammy should have known better than to shoot glares in Conan's direction anymore. He took the bait, this was most definitely a competition now. He felt bad for the Geist, Nott apparently, but she had just gotten dragged into a game of war between himself and his sister. He gave Cammy a smirk, and after untangling himself from her he crossed his arms in front of him casually.
"Might we try out luck at some other game, hm?" He could hope that his luck would hold out. He glanced around and happened upon a game of high striker. "That looks fun~ C'mon Nott!" Her smirked and gestured for her to follow him. He hoped she wasn't looking when he turned toward Cammy and stuck his tongue out at her.
Her got to the front of the line and swiftly brought the hammer down. When the bell rang he couldn't help but shout at his success. He got his pick of the plushies offered for prizes and of course picked the purple vespercat doll. He stepped away from the game and immediately offered the doll to Nott. "You don't really need to play. Seems I'll keep scoring you just the perfect prizes~" He smirked in Cammy's general direction, it was so a dare for her to demonstrate she could win as well.

Arden supposed some were a bit harder than they looked. Plenty of others around them seemed to be exasperated as they were showed up by the simplest of games. He looked down to his arms. Yeah, he didn't need any more familiars either. The Chimera moved around with her, heading back towards the tables near the food. He wasn't particularly hungry yet, but he could go for sitting down.
"I have a while before I'm out of here," he offered, not really upset but at same time there was no excitement to his words. "But I do want to get into medicine," Arden informed, smiling softly at Sorren. The brunette was pretty fond of magics, even if being a healer didn't work out for him he would find something else. "How about you?" Arden felt a little embarrassed. He couldn't even remember what house she was in.
Nott couldn't seem to help being drawn along in Conan's wake like a leaf in a strong wind, but she hadn't entirely missed the smirk either. She glanced back at the other Hybrid, trying to pick up some sign of what was going on, but if there were clues, they were written in some cipher of body language unique to the trio and she didn't have a Rosetta stone for them.
"I um, oh..." She blinked owlishly as the plush vespercat was pressed into her arms, hugging it almost unthinkingly as a soft wall of defense against confusion. Was he flirting with her? No one flirted with her, she was just Nott. Nott the shy, Nott with the notebooks that occasionally 'vanished' and turned up being red aloud to guffawing strangers.
Nott 'Nott the desirable' who was starting to feel that she was being... of all things... maybe even spatted over, however subtly. "It's really wonderful, but don't you... you know... want anything you've won??"
It was about as close as she dared to asking 'is this a joke at my expense', though she was really hoping it wasn't, even if it didn't last long. She couldn't help rubbing the ear of the plush Vespercat though. It really was cute.
The hybrid had smirked and snerked a bit at Cherish's... offer. Yeah, Cammy wasn't at all against the sort of parties Cherish was more into. They were kinda um... more fun, in some ways, though she was kinda enjoying this freshling-friendly party. Plus hey, meeting new people! Always a plus!
Nott. She tilted her head a little, grinning to the Geist. She hadn't heard that name before, it was neat~! "Do you go to school here, or one of the universities~?" That was safe right? Casual chat? The other girl looked so nervous, Cammy felt... well, bad. Not to mention a tad bit responsible... Though she wasn't sure if conversations with a stranger would help, in her mind she figured conversations would make them... well, less of strangers so. That could help Nott not feel so awkward? Maybe???
Oh but Conan. Cameron's wings ruffled and fluffed out, ears pinning back a bit as he lead Nott off. Oh he was picking a fight huh? Her tail flicked back and forth as she followed--stalked more like it--and her fur bristled a little in challenge as he'd managed to slam the hammer down and get Nott another prize. Ooooh that brat.... flexing her clawed hands, she reached for the hammer and gripped it with both hands. Rising it up awkwardly, she slammed it down.... and her shoulders dropped as she didn't get it up nearly as high as Conan did. High, sure, but not... as high. Not high enough for a prize for Nott anyways. Ugh! Ignoring her brother--as in, refusing to look at him at all--she instead gave a sheepish shrug and smile to the Geist. "Maybe I'll have better luck on another game... What about you~? Got one that's a favorite?"

Cherish was thrilled when she won the next game she played, picking out the purple feline plushy she snuggled it close to her with a giggle. She was about to show it off to the other two siblings when she realized they were now VERY much embroiled in their little war over Nott. Oh, well then. She shook her head a bit.
The two of them - really. Where would they be without her? Still, it was amusing to watch them resort to childish tactics - so she'd humor them for now. If it got out of hand however she'd step in and... Give Nott an out.
But for now everything seemed to be going swimmingly so she wasn't about to interrupt them.
Looking around to see what other sorts of games were to play, Pepper spotted a ski ball kind of game, one with darts, and a couple others. She'd had some pretty great luck with the games so far she'd played, maybe she should play a few more? It would be fun to win some candy or something to share with her friends. With that in mind, she made her way through the other freshlings, juniors, and seniors to the skii ball game. It was probably almost out of her league, but she wanted to try it.
It looked simple enough, just roll the ball into one of the holes. The tip of her tongue peaked out as she picked up one of the balls. Carefully aiming, she rolled her ball up the course and managed to get it into one of the higher numbers. Pleased, she tossed the next couple in and managed to get both of them into a high number as well. To her surprise, her prize was another of the little skyfish she had. This time it was a green speckled one. Unlike Raffe though, this one went to hide into her hair as soon as it was released and she gave it a small frown. "I'll call you Cary," she told it, reaching up to pet the small fish. Then she introduced the newcomer to both Babette and Raffe. She was really going to have to ask one of the caretakers how best to care for the new familiars she'd acquired. Thankfully they were the same kind!
Keira stretched and continued to watch the others having fun. She wondered if she would get friends like the others. Well, she had friends... plenty, just none of them were close to her or really even knew her goals or desires of life. Part of that though, could be her. She didn't like to tell others of her hobbies or dreams because in the past, they became the butt of everyone's jokes. She played with her hair a bit before getting up and moving to go dance by herself on the dance floor. Who said you needed another person to have fun?

She sat down, kind of confused. She thought for some reason he was the same age as her, about to graduate. Oh well, she needed to work on her memory skills. "Oh that's good. You can never have enough people out there healing others and taking care of the sick." she said with a bright smile. She never could so anything like medicine, but she admired those that could.
"Me, I'm almost done actually. I plan on going Grendel for art, and then when I'm done there maybe coming back here and becoming a teacher." It wasn't anything as grand as working with medicine, but art was her passion.

"Teaching is pretty noble," Arden informed with a smile. He didn't think he could ever do it. If he thought kids were vicious now, well, he couldn't imagine what snide things they could say about a dorky teacher. He stroked his cat between the ears, stretching his legs out in front of him.
He looked to her, tilting his head. "I don't think there's much I could teach," the Chimera offered conversationally, "Freshlings also kind of overwhelm me." He shook his head, the words more fond than pure terror. He remembered running into Vespera, the little Chimera Freshling too full of life that managed to push all his buttons in one fell swoop.

You're right, he is a Senior but he's dragging his feet on graduating because I'm prioritizing Cassie. lol
"I'm still in the Academy." Nott offered when Cameron asked. "I'm an Arkham student, I'd really like to go to university and study creative writing though. What about you?" Were they all three studying the same thing, or did they like different things? She knew what she would have written them into doing, but this wasn't fiction, these were other nightmares, unpredictable and complicated and real.
Some things apparently she did have a certain say in though, when she paused to try her hand at a cups game. It wasn't easy by a shot, but she did have sharp eyes and an attention to detail, and a moment later her eyes were gleaming with an entirely different glow as she held out a actual Vespercat toward Conan, pleased as anything with her victory.
"It takes a bit more time and energy than the plush..." She admitted. "But if you want it..."
After winning yet another new familiar, Laurel decided to play again! He really hoped that he'd win that blue plushie in the corner, but as his throws took flight, the dismay erased his hopes. Aww, well, he'd have to keep trying! The blue spots on that plushie were just too cute!

Cameron grinned, nodding her head, bangs waving in front of her eyes. "Last year at Arkham yeah! We're heading off to Grendel though after we're done here--we're gonna be focusing on our music~!" She'd almost said band, but she didn't want to start a fight about the name again with Conan, ugh. Instead though, her eyes lit on the Geist. "Creative writing? What sort of stuff do you like to write?" Was it rude to ask if she had any on her? Aw, probably... So she kept that question to herself, instead marveling as Nott managed to do so well at the game...
And.... won a Vespercat! Pale purple eyes went wide as she watched Nott hold the critter towards her brother. "Omigods! That's... wow! That's super nice of you!" Ok so yeah no jealousy aside, that was seriously awesome of Nott to offer such a thing to Conan. "Bro I'll totally steal it from you if I think you're failing taking care of it, just a warnin'~" she teased him with a wink, before trying her own paw at the cups game.
Only to let out a cheer, wings fluttering and tail wagging as she managed to actually.... um... win!! Win something! As she picked up a Vespercat of her own, she gleed and held the feline close to her chest, grinning at Cherish. "Aw look! Isn't it so cute?" She couldn't help it. She loved critters. Though a part of her was super, super tempted to give it to Nott.... she'd just have to win more to spoil the Geist with!
Zalir was glad zey had not offended zeir new friend. Zey peered at zeir even newer friend, at their tentacles all waving about. "How can you tell that they're healthy? Is it, um, color or glow or size or something?" Zey suddenly wondered if there was a book on aetherjelly biology in the library. Biology was not zeir forte, but for these two beauties, well, zey would be happy to make an exception. Zey made a note to hit the library tomorrow, see what zey could learn. Then zey would be better equipped to take care of zeir little friend.
"I certainly do not want a flood. I figure another fifteen minutes, and then I'd like to get them in a bucket." Zey made a quick sweep of the bag with zeir hand to ascertain there were no sharp objects, such as pens or pencils, within. Thus reassured, zey carefully nestled zeir new jelly next to the slightly less new one. "I hope tanks are not expensive..."
Zey turned to the next booth--they must have surely been half the way around by now. The next booth was a beanbag toss. Simple, easy--once again, zey took care to aim.
No dice. Zey shrugged. "Maybe my luck is running out at last?"
