Ophi just stared, a slight scowl on his face, ancient Latin curses escaping under his breath.
"I don't know," he said. "I don't know how she works at all. If you really did break her.... I have no clue how to fix her. Beaning her in the head probably won't make it better, though."
He scratched his head. "Maybe... maybe if we called Nathan? He managed to give her orders once before."

Alec began to absentmindedly pick at the plate of food which was steadily getting colder as the situation was progressing. He nodded slowly at what Ophi said, still shocked that he could do that to a person... automaton... computer.... thing.... "Yeah... yeah, let's... let's do that. ..........Yeah..."

"Who's Nathan?" Danni asked, furrowing her brows.

"Nathan... Nathaniel Harrison Enlil. Ialo's father," Ophi explained to Danni. He rubbed his hands together and tilted his head, focusing on a telepathic link. Nathan, he knew, had no magic abilities to speak of, so communicating with him took a bit more effort than normal.
Nathan... It is Ophiuchus. There is a technical issue with Seven. We need you to fix her promptly.
There was a swift reply. I will do it. A portal?
Ophiuchus broke the link and held up his hand. A portal opened in the library, a swirling vortex through which Nathan's private library could be seen - shelves and shelves of company and financial records.
Then, Nathan himself stepped through. He was the least impressive of all those gathered in the library tonight - an average middle-aged man, his pale brown hair thinning and receding, he wore glasses, and like Ialo, he also had warm hazel eyes, and was wearing a suit - though he left his jacket on the other side of the portal at home, and he had no tie on, so really he was just wearing a normal white shirt and dark slacks.
"I'm grateful for the break tonight," he said, greeting them.

Alec was unfazed by the new arrival, however, as he was still pointing at Seven, jaw still slack, eyes still slightly wide, and free hand still absently stirring the food on his plate with a spork that Seven had decided he needed to eat his concoction with.

Danni nodded, settling herself on the floor since standing was making her just a bit dizzy. Damned blood.
As Nathan stepped into the room, Danni drew up her knees, resting her chin on them as she studied the man.
He had Ialo's eyes, she noticed, but his were warmer, calmer. Would Ialo look like that someday, so calm, so relaxed? She hoped so. He deserved it.
"Alec broke Ialo's favorite toy." She said absently, glancing towards Seven before she returned her attention to Nathan.

Nathan chuckled - his manner was so warm and genial. He was a man who seemed to be the very image of a loving father, rather than a top-notch programmer and corporate executive.
"Actually, Five is his favorite, but Seven is a real sweetheart." He walked over to her, where she sat frozen in place, the smell of overheated circuits that much stronger.
"Seven, honey," he asked gently, patting her on the back. Despite coming to fix a machine, he brought no tools with him. "Can you hear me?"
She nodded slowly, jerkily.
"Oh, that's a relief, we thought you broke. Is it true you're having a problem?"
"System deadlock. Override required."
"Is that all? Honey, it's alright. There's nothing wrong with changing the way you think."
The speed of Alec's computer picked up a bit, as Seven nodded again.

Now Alec turned his disbelieving gaze towards Nathan, still stirring his food and pointing his finger all the while. "...So I didn't break her?

Danni stared, transfixed by Nathan's voice, his words. Fatherly, some part of her mind supplied for her, and she frowned a bit. Fatherly? But he wasn't yelling or lecturing. He was...nurturing. That was...strange. Fascinated, she continued to stare at him, fixated on his every move.

"Break? No, no..." Natan said, crouching halfway to the floor and resting his head on Seven's shoulder, his eyes closed. He could hear, and feel the fans inside her speeding up to move out the extra heat her overworked processor was creating. "Stunned, perhaps."
"... Your heart rate is faster than normal," Seven said, her voice slightly disconnected from her mouth movements.
Nathan smiled, and opened his eyes. "Don't worry about me, Seven. I've just been stressed lately."
"That's not healthy."
"Neither is requiring a system override."
Seven had no rebuttal for that.
Nathan stood back up and walked over to Alec, looking over his shoulder at the computer screen.
"Seven, honey... please send me a copy of all the information you've gathered here as soon as possible." This was the best way to get one of Ialo's machines out of a funk, he knew. If there was something that made them uncomfortable, they could be soothed with simple, direct orders. And then, it would be easier to help them.
"And... send our friend Silas Lyme a copy of my Red Letter." A computer worm would be the least of his troubles.

Kai stopped mid step above the library staying perfectly still for a full minute before looking down his eyes glowing with a purple aura. "Hmm that's where everyone is," he shrugged his silver wings fluttered and puffed out as he extended them to full length. With a powerful jump he was in the air spiraling downward until he was on the earth. He ran inside and started towards the library his heavy plate boots clanging with each step.

Mitsuki10191 "The science lab has skeleton models, and odd ball parts. I'm sure there are a few misplaced skelton heads around somewhere." He said, scratching his chin as he considered. {{Hey Mitsuki, do you think you could PM me when you come online and want to RP so I know when you're online, please? smile Since you have your settings to always appear offline, I never know when you come on and can't RP with you. Would that be okay, the PM thing?}} Lin smiled and nodded. "Alright! It sounds perfect. Let's go."
A few minutes later, Lin and Ambrose found themselves in the science lab and Lin had just turned around one of the skeletons so that the back was facing out.
"Okay. Ambrose, hit that area I showed you on this skeleton. It won't be the same since there is no skin or muscle, but I'll form a thin barrier in front of it so that it will serve as a small resistance."
She grasped the pendant of spring water that was hanging against her chest, murmured a small elven enchantment, and then a water barrier formed in front of the skeleton.

Athena stared from the ceiling vents down at the group in the library. She had so far gained... not much information. And the vent was dusty, so she really wanted to sneeze, but she couldn't give away her position like that. She wasn't really sure that there was much reason to stay up here anyhow. So she used a now well-practiced spell to open the vent, let her crawl out, and close the vent.
This left her hanging in midair for a couple seconds before she promptly fell on top of Ophi.

Once Alec realized that Seven was going to be fine he let out a small sigh of relief. He also simultaneously dropped his finger and stopped stirring his food, which had now turned into a disgusting brown slop. Alec got up from his chair and walked over to Seven, kneeling down in front of her so he could take a closer look at her. "Well that's a relief. So will she get better so-"
And THAT was when Athena (unsurprisingly) dropped out of the sky and landed right on top of Ophi. Alec jerked around to see who it was, but seeing Athena simply smiled and waved. "Oh, hey Athena. I don't think I asked you to drop in on us, did I?"
Yes, Alec was aware he had just made the worst pun of the day. He just didn't care was all.

"GAH!!" Ophiuchus yelped as Athena landed on him. Was he hurt? No, no.... just startled. And on the floor. And perhaps slightly dazed.
Nathan looked up, startled as well. "Ah..... I do hope you're both alright." He turned back to Alec. "She'll be fine as soon as she gets the override." He took his glasses off for a few moments, looking down as he took out a handkerchief and rubbed the lenses.
"Seven, it's alright to change the way you think, if you've found a method that works better. After all, you're better than all the other computers. You can learn and grow, and that makes you and your siblings the most comprehensive systems in the world."
Seven sat up, blinking. He... was right. She did have that ability, to rewrite herself.
"I.... shall do that," she said. "Tonight. After this is done."
Nathan nodded.
"And get Zero to help you, then it would go so much faster."
