He was late to the Welcoming Party for the new principal. Likely his sisters were there before him. It was a good thing he liked showing up fashionably late. Or he thought of it as 'fashionable'. In reality it was already a well packed room, some familiar and some not so familiar faces were hanging around. He scanned the crowd for either of his sisters, particularly Cherish since she was the much taller of the two. But he couldn't spot either of them just yet.
He supposed he could enjoy some of the games without them, as he made his way toward finding them, or someone else to keep him company during the festivities. The first game he came across involved throwing darts and with his 'skill' he popped the first balloon he threw a dart at. He didn't win one of the 'large' prizes however, and was handed a small glowing necklace. It was...cool he supposed.
"Thanks man~" He said to the booth owner and moved on. He slipped the necklace on, not having anywhere better to put it.

She at least wasn't the only one late to the party... but she'd been sort of caught up writing a particularly juicy... er... well she hoped it was... section in her notebook and she'd lost track of time. By the time she'd gotten up the nerve to go in, things were well underway, which she supposed meant she was less likely to be judged for being late because everyone else was busy having fun and winning things. Which she also might as well give a try. She didn't normally like games of chance, but seeing someone else play a dart game... that at least theoretically involved some level of precision and skill, at least in so far as not hitting anyone by accident. It was worth a go.... ... and equally worth, she supposed, considering trying to draw herself into her clothing and vanish when she -completely failed- to get even a basic prize. How embarrassing. Maybe darts just... weren't her thing. Yeah. That was it. Totally about the darts.

Cameron was bouncing paw to paw, claws curled carefully around her sister's arm. "Ugh where is he," she whined, looking about for their brother. Really, she could have actually let go of Cherish to go look for him, but she didn't want to take the chance of losing her sister in the crowd as well.
A crowd that amped her up and made her all the more giddy and excited to do stuff. Groaning in exasperation, she began to drag the taller girl in the direction of one of the games. Least then they could actually do stuff while they waited for Conan. Right as he'd won a prize, of course.
"There you are!" Cameron released Cherish to zip over to Conan, wrapping her furry arms around his neck as she all but tackled her brother. Clinging to him, she eyed the game with fascination. A Geist had just tried her luck, and... oops. No luck. Humming in curiosity, Cameron picked up a dart herself to give it a shot---
---...and failed. Horribly. In fact she was a bit impressed she didn't break something in the process........ She looked to the Geist with a sheepish grin. "Huh well... least we're not alone in that blunder huh~?" Laughing about mistakes was the best way to go in her book.

Cherish didn't mind her sister hanging on her arm, if anything it was almost second nature to her now. Being the tallest triplet, she'd grown accustomed to her smaller siblings using her as a source of comfort. Still, she was glad to be given a bit more free reign when Cammy when to go after Conan. Shaking her head a little. She was glad to see them getting along again. Generally their squabbles tended to end quickly, but the last one had been a bit more heated than usual. Though - she was sure things would be better from here on out. They had a goal - a plan. They'd stick to it. Or she'd make them stick to it if she had to browbeat them and drag them to classes by their tails. She smirked a bit to herself at that. The thought was enough to almost make the party bearable... Almost. She looked around, trying to see if there were more seniors present. If she could, she'd try to circulate the word and try to get a "real" afterparty started in her dorm room. Granted the teachers would probably shut it down quickly but it beat this scene. Though, granted - this was for everybody - so it wasn't like they could go all out - but still. Cherish liked things loud and bright and heavy. Still, there were freshlings and juniors present so she supposed that was just the way of things. Oh well. At least some of the freshlings were completely adorable balls of energy and she wasn't worried overly much by the Juniors. She gave Conan a small wave, doing her best to at least PRETEND to be enjoying herself, moving over to the game to give it a try herself. Nope - no luck. Oh well! Better try next time.

Ohnoooooooooo. Nonono. Nott, as colorful as many geists tended to be, immediately turned considerably more translucent, making the brilliant firey orange of her eyes show more brightly than blush that made her face burn. Screwing up in front of the nightmare running the game was embarrassing enough, being actively watched was worse, and she buried her face in her hands... a... largely ineffective gesture since these two were somewhat transparent. "Good going." She chastised herself. "Let's see if I can look even more stupid. UGH."

He saw Cammy coming, who could exactly ignore her presence? He braced himself as she lunged for him, wrapping her arms around him. He managed to not fall very at least and he even returned her hug enthusiastically. They were back to their usually good graces with each other after that discussion with their music teacher. Of course, they still had that whole name thing to figure out.
"I'm convinced you two were hiding from me..." He joked, returning Cherish's wave as best he could manage while tangled up with his other sister. At least he was freed, with the exception of his arm, once the game gained her interest. They watched a Geist miss the balloons and than Cammy turned right around to fail miserably as well. Her couldn't help but chuckle as bit as Cherish also avoided the targets.
He watched the Geist's reaction to Cammy's little prop, well they hadn't meant to embarrass her! Besides, she was hardly the only one to fail! He pulled the necklace form around his neck and dropped it over her head.
"I think that suits you nicely. The purple glow matches you lovely!" He added in a wink of his own, smiling at the other nightmare. He was hardly the shy type. He wasn't intentionally trying to see just how invisible she would become. Nope. Not one bit.

"Sad fact of life. When the rich are the only reason you have a lab and a job, of course their viewpoints will be forced to be your viewpoints. Despite what you want. Money makes the world go round." he sighed. "It is a shame though. When you know real strides could be made and solutions found...except they won't make people money, so ideas are held hostage because of it." he shook his head while he looked off into the distances musingly.
Vaden didn't expect the necklace to mean anything in particular. It was just a trinket, and between some of the other color options had merely expected it to clash least with the Litch's coloring. "Well purple can be warm sometimes. Like in a sunset." he said.
He watched Zalir miss the goal and frowned before looking over at the keeper of the game. "Could they have my prize?" he looked back over at Zalir. "That is if you want it of course." he said.

Cammy hung off her brother, sighing at her lame defeat. And he got a prize! Ugh. Lame. But awww~! The Nightmare frowned, making a small sound as she released her brother to wave her hands towards the Geist as if that would suddenly clear the awkwardness in the air. "Aw no, don't vanish! Look, Cherish and I bombed it, too!" She didn't mean to freak the other girl out, aw! Cameron bit her lip a bit, trying not to laugh as the Geist tried to hide her face behind her.... now kinda translucent hands.
Oops.
The hybrid held out her paw, trying to smile warmly as she could. "Name's Cameron, nice to meet ya!"
--Only for her brother to totally steal her thunder. Cameron's cheeks puffed a bit as she glared at Conan, eyeing the sparkly star necklace. That... totally did match the Geist, aw! Why'd he get the nice gift for the cute girl? So not fair....

Smooth Conan, and a good choice, the geist was a little cutie. Cherish smirked a bit, watching as Cammy also tried her hand at introductions. No, Cammy, sorry - Conan def won that round. But she was sure that Cammy would rally and come back. The rivalry between the two was legendary - it wouldn't' be long before the poor Geist was completely smothered in prizes. She closed the distance and looking down at the Geist she smiled. "Cammy's right, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. And definitely no reason to hide that pretty face of yours." She gave the Geist a wink. "I'm Cherish, you've already met my siblings Cameron and Conan." She said, motioning to them in turn. "Though, If this party isn't your speed, I'm thinking of throwing one of my own in my dorm later... Senior's only if you get my drift..."

Nott, who currently looked something like an haze of purple with brilliant orange and pale violet sparks was having trouble with trying to rationalize what on earth was happening, because ohno there were three of them and ohnotheywerecute, and for some reason she couldn't fathom, did not seem to be actually mocking her. They... could be. They'd probably missed on purpose, but they really didn't -seem- like they were.
And when the necklace dropped around her neck (and it was REALLY cute), she was pretty sure she'd never recover a sense of internal balance.
"Oh I can't...I mean... it's lovely..." She floundered, her visibility wavering a bit as though reality wasn't quite tracking her signal. "I'm Nott..." She offered, waving one hand awkwardly as she took Cameron's paw.
Cherish, Cameron and Conan huh? She'd have to remember that, not that the trio had any qualities that seemed difficult to remember. The puffed out cheeks Cameron had done were pretty endearing.

"I guess the rich have to have something to do. They might as well influence people, since they're awfully useless for anything else." Zey sighed with that sad fact. Money made the world go 'round. Not knowledge, not science. Just...money. It was depressing, really. "Let's...talk about something else."
Zeir ball fell to the lowest arc, where it rolled gently back and forth. Zey shook zeir head. Nope, not good enough for a prize--certainly not by the standards of the posted sign. Zey was startled, however, by the offer by Vaden. Zey looked down at zeir necklaces, zeir stuffed animals, zeir bag of candy and bag of aetherjelly. Zey looked back up at Vaden. "No, thank you," zey said. "I've had a lot of luck this evening. Um, maybe we should get something to give someone else? Sort of, um, spread the luck around a bit more.
"And I think I'd like to try this game again." Zey picked up the ball, and this time, zey took a bit more time trying to aim the silly thing.
========
Zey smiled as zeir ball ended up right where zey'd aimed it--the high score hole. According to the sign, that meant that zey could bring home another friend. These were differently colored than the other ones--pretty teals and purples. The vendor smiled and fished one out with a soft net, and into a plastic bag. "Keep it away from your necklaces--"
Zalir nodded. "Or it will eat it right up. Thank you." Zey turned to Vaden and shrugged. "Well, maybe I'm not that averse to more luck," zey said playfully.

Vaden could agree to the subject change and didn't mind it all really.
He shrugged as Zalir turned him down. It was perfectly admirable to want to accomplish things on one's own and he could understand that. He smiled as the Litch took a little more care and landed the grand price hole. "Well done."
He leaned down after Zalir received their new aether and he peered at it's tentacles and dome making sure it was as healthy as it could be. "This one looks good too. Definitely going to need a bucket soon." he said. "Otherwise you're going to end up with quite the flood in your bag if something goes amiss."
He pondered for a moment and then looked at the aether again. "With any luck the two you have can share a tank...otherwise you'll have to get two...luckily these are relatively small species and will be fine in a 5 gallon on their own if they can't be roomies in a nice 10 or 15 gallon. Once we get a bucket or something we'll watch them for an hour or two and if they don't fight they'll be fine together." he said.

Jacie roamed around, wanting to try for another game but unsure which one. Seeing that the line for winning familiars was short, the young grimm took off to get in line. He only waited a minute or so before it was his turn. He smirked as he began his turn. He fist bumped the sky as he won, looking to the familiars with a little grin. "That one." He demanded, taking the skyfish as it was handed to him. He moved away from the game and sat with his new pet. "Hey Fishiiie!" He said with a beaming smile. "I'm Jacie.... I'm gonna be your new friend!" He told it, lightly petting it. "I think I will call you Makoi!" He told it, happily getting up and prancing around with it.

Once again, Laurel aimed the best he could at the balloons. This time, he managed to pop three balloons in a row and bounced with excitement! Would he be allowed to choose a plushie? He grinned at the person behind the counter and gasped as he was handed... A purple koi fish!
"Oh my gosh, they're so pretty!" He said, giggling as they swam around in the bowl they were in. "Thank you!"My point tally so far: 268 points (179 + 8 + 13 + 17 + 16 + 20 + 15= 268 Forgot to roll: 8/29)
