Chaos Cat Chip Rolls: 8, 4, 10 Total: 22Once more, Chip's very small size proved advantageous, as suddenly a throng of shadow-beings swarmed around him, and he simply waited behind a rock as they swirled past, allowing him to peek his head back out after a bit and watch the coming fire with wide-eyed fascination.

Anxo DeLuna
Rolls: 10 + 3 + 4
Having Athene there was the most reassuring thing Anxo had felt the whole time they had been here. Every step they took was another one closer to fear, to death, to..... He didn't know, but it felt incredibly uneasy.
But Athene... He seemed to hold himself together quite well, and it was with that bravery that Anxo managed to keep going, with no intention to let go of his hand.
"... I understand. For now... Please let me stay close." They didn't need to part ways just yet.
Then the people came.
Pushing and shoving and weaving their way past them. Some more violently than others. Anxo certainly wasn't as small and thin as he was years ago, his work out routine and competitive swimming left him with slender but very evident muscles, but none of that helped when a shadow hit him in the shoulder hard enough to feel it almost dislodge.
He drew in a hiss of a breath, and gripped Athene's hand tighter.
"I'm fine... I promise, I'm fine..."

While Susquehanna only had few and far between moments with Mamertine, meeting him always seemed pleasant. Familiar in a way, as if they were meant to come across one another in those troubling times. Part of him really wished to speak with him outside of these trials. Perhaps, when there weren't more pressing things, he could ask about it.
"Thank you, Mamertine. And.... Yes, I'll be sure to do that." And just like that, he summoned his oar again, only to have it knocked out of his hand by the scrambling shadows.
They pushed and shoved, knocking it further and further away, over the edge of the platform. In his foolishness, Hanna dove for it, nearly sending his own self hurling over the edge. "A-AHH!!!!"
He dangled half off the edge, hopelessly trying to scramble back up. "M-Mamertine!!"

Sessrumnir grasped onto Myrrha’s forearm as she did his, holding on to keep her from being pulled away in the rush of these new shadow figures. Regardless of what they were, it seemed like this experience was becoming more dangerous.
Unless this was all an illusion. This wouldn’t be the first time being pulled into a dream-like state that felt like reality.
As the heft of the charge came, he pushed Myrrha out of the direct line so he could try to keep her from being trampled. He didn’t fare too well himself, but she was young and smaller than him, so if anyone had a better chance of survival, it was him.
“You doing okay?” he asked with as steady a voice as he could manage, wanting to ease any stress she was feeling, even though he wasn’t doing too great himself.
Caspian would probably have a fit later, but it wasn’t as though he’d asked to be pulled into this place.

Whatever place they were in definitely wasn’t friendly to the Negaverse, and it was pissing him off. For all the power he had as a General, being a civilian without a weapon in this world was really annoying. He didn’t blame Aquamarine for throwing a fit.
He grabbed onto Aquamarine’s arm as he was pulled away from the opened ground, a hissing, frustrated growl escaping through his teeth as he used his free hand to apply pressure to the gash on his outer thigh. One of those creatures either gouged him with a hoof or the debris around was sharp and clearly dangerous. <********,” he spat and shoved Aquamarine forward so he would spend less time trying to make sure he was okay and try to at least get himself out.
“If you get a chance to escape, you better ******** take it,” he hissed, increasingly agitated the more s**t happened around them. Especially as the figures charged them, pushing Aquamarine into him. He grabbed onto the blue fabric of the uniform, because that was all he could manage to get his fingers around to catch him.
He didn’t like the panic that was taking over his senses, especially as he felt the fabric of Aquamarine’s uniform ripped away from him in the onslaught of figures. Ilian was shoved to the ground as the stampede continued. All he could do was throw his arms over his head to try and protect himself.

Total: 5+5++5=15*I accidentally rolled 2-10 and didn't catch it until backfilling, so subtracted one from his total rollHe was back on the ground, surrounded by too many people--too many people trying to trample him.
And she had put him down to try and save him.
Well, that simply wouldn't do. Soleiyu was no coward--and he certainly wasn't going to let her die with him owing her a debt.
"Don't say that, pull yourself up," he said; he wished more than ever that he had hands to help pull her up, but even with this limitation it didn't stop him. He bit down on her sleeve and tried to pull her up with all his might. "Pull," he said through grit teeth. "You can do it! I believe in you! Just a little bit and you'll be fine!"

Arnica held his footing this time; even with the crowd of people pushing past them, he managed to ground himself. "I think--I've got a good spot here. Hold onto me," he said. The more they weighed, the less the crowd would be able to move them.
"Just stay behind me if you can."
He was facing the flames, eyes burning as he looked at at the brightness. It was almost painful in the otherwise dark realm. A cold shiver ran through him, partially at the screams, partially at the burning tent, partially at the music.
...He wanted to get out of here now more than ever.

Feeling the ground begins to crumble around them she tried to pull him up faster but she wasn't sure if she was going to make it in time... Glancing over her shoulder she could see the other members of her party struggling. Don't panic was all she could think to herself. You've got to be strong and protect everyone.

Total: 3+3+3=9
Adria could barely make out Meridiana's words; he was trembling and could hear his blood pulsing like rivers in his ears, drowning out nearly everything else. Her hands on either side of his face were the only things that felt stable. He forced a nod a few seconds after she spoke. He was alive.
For now.
Peace wasn't guaranteed or given; he was trying to stand up, trying to get back on his feet, when something else had to get in the way. He could barely process whatever was going on around them but he held on firmly to Meridiana and looked at her, blurting, "I'm sorry."
If he had been stronger maybe he could have helped more. Maybe he wouldn't have been such dead weight.
The wave of people hit him, hard; he wasn't balanced and was exhausted from trying to scramble out of the chasm already. The fear of falling might have paralyzed him--once again Meridiana was on the edge with him. Fire. Smoke. Heat.
Everything was coming in flashes, nearly too quick to process. He didn't want to die. Didn't want her to die. The chasm below seemed like it was inching closer--until something violently headbutted him. "Get--get back," he said to her, trying to use his body to shove into the crowd and clear a way for them to get on better ground. His body wasn't much but he shielded what he could of the crowd, not just to keep her safe but to keep them together.
If they were separated, he didn't know if he'd see her again--if they'd even survive on their own. The good news was, with all the movement right now, he couldn't see anyone else--he was barely worried about anyone seeing them. There wasn't any point in worrying about answering questions if they were dead.

Total: 4+3+3=10Caia had gratefully accepted the hand when it was offered to him; he didn't want to be there any more than anyone else did, so the chance to escape the chasm was well received. Before he'd had the opportunity to thank Miyamoto, they were already facing the crowd. Caia had less luck--but such seemed to be just the way of things. He was pushed dangerously close to the edge but managed to frantically struggle. "I'm sorry!" he blurted, torn between holding onto Miyamoto and letting him go so he could save himself. "I think I'm just holding you back! If you--If you can get out, you should. I'll catch up," he promised, but he wasn't sure he really had that much confidence in his ability to do so.
