"Oh, hello." Fidessa greeted and turned to William. "Don't mention it. I was only settling a score with an old rival." Fidessa smiled at William's words. "And I'd rather not join anybody. I'm just observing the life Kiro's been living since it interests me how he adapted and learned to cherish his life. So I'll be shacking up with him secretly." Fidessa announced. She pressed her pointer finger to her lips to indicate to keep it hush hush.

"Uhh..." Kiro murmured, though unsure how to react to this announcement.

"That sounds pretty risky and stupid." Enyo commented while rolling her eyes in irritation.

"Worry not you worrywarts!"Fidessa proclaimed. She patted Kiro on the back to emphasize her opinion that everything will be okay, though the pat was more like a hard smack. "Now get to your work, or whatever it is you do here. I'll be around~" Fidessa said and rushed off in the direction of the dormitories.

"Yeah..." William said. "Have fun with that handful. Make sure she doesn't get into trouble, though. Or get you in trouble. In fact if you can tie her up in her sleep and lock her in the closet it wouldn't be the worst idea ever. Anyways, it's been a long trip home. I'm hungry, you?"

Mathias winced at Kait's tirade, and breathed a sigh of relief when she stormed off, grumbling half heard threats at Matt. He once again wondered if his punishment was really being assigned with Kait than the actual work of laundry. He reluctantly followed her out, his shoulders slumped dejectedly.

((I won't have anything else to post until we are on our actual punishment duties.))

"I'm not that worried about it.." Kiro commented, though unsure how he truly felt. "Sure." Kiro replied to William. "I don't remember the last time I ate."

"I do feel awfully hungry..." Enyo muttered as she looked down, her hand rubbing her stomach.

Will led the way to the cafeteria, Kiro and Enyo following along behind him. When they arrived they saw that several of their comrades had taken up residence at their usual table again. Matt and Kait were still arguing, Gene looked like he was seething, and Digo just looked confused.
"Oh, that reminds me." Will said. "Valenti assigned our punishments. You and TJ get to take over for our stablehands for the next two weeks, unpaid, starting tomorrow. And, Enyo, you get to work in the Smithy with Sven. I got elevator duty in the Arena Tower."
Will walked over to the buffet-like food table and began heaping up potatoes and slabs of meat which he smothered in a brown gravy. Balancing a couple of rolls he had the checkout person run it on his tab and then went over to a table a little ways away from the others. Will just wanted to get some food in him and then go and see Kimiko. He also needed a haircut, he realized as his hair fell over one shoulder but not the other where it had been burned short on that side during the battle.

An expression of irritation fell over Kiro. "Stable duty..." Kiro said, sighing as he began filling a bowl up with as many meats as he could get a hold of. Enyo quickly sat down along with Kiro and the others, though she chose a salad instead of a more hearty meal. "It feels like it was just yesterday that Kiro and I left here..." Enyo muttered.

"It really hasn't been very long, really." Will said. "There's been a fair bit of travel time in between, but who really pays attention to that anyways. You guys left, Kiro came back, we set out again, there was a battle, and we all came back home again. Really, it all happened pretty quick."
Will set into his meal then. He hadn't realized it before, but he was really quite ravenous.
"I'm really not looking forward to doing this menial labor for the next two weeks." He said. "Though I suppose it does give us all a chance to get rested back up before we start taking on assignments again."

((I'm ready to skip forward to the next day whenever you guys are. We might not roleplay out the full two weeks of their punishments, but we will be doing at least some of it.))

The Hunters and Guardians that had returned from the rescue mission finished their meals and conversations and eventually all of them found their way to their rooms and their beds.

William awoke to a knock on the door of his room. He opened his eyes and found it to still be dark outside of his window.
"Ugh..." Will groaned. The shifts that he and his fellows who had returned the previous night were to take mostly began in the wee hours of the morning. Will knew that many of the other Hunters and Guardians slept in most days unless they were scheduled for a mission so he had spoken to a guard and asked that they all receive wake up calls. He also hoped that most of the others never found out he was the one who had arranged for that, or else he'd never hear the end of it.
Will threw back his covers and rolled out of bed. He grabbed up his towel and walked out of his room in his underwear. He honestly didn't care who saw at this point, he just wanted to get in a shower before he started his shift at the Arena's elevator.
Will made it to the shared baths for his floor and quickly showered. His towel now wrapped around his waist he walked back to his room where he quickly dressed and strapped on his daggers. He left his sword behind, knowing that General Valenti would frown on his wearing it for this particular job.
Will glanced out the window and saw that he still had a little bit of time before he started his shift, so he made his way to the cafeteria and grabbed a quick breakfast of gravy and biscuits that he chased down with some scalding black coffee.
"Well. Here we go." Will sighed.

Several of the other Hunters and Guardians had begun their mornings similarly. TJ arrived in the cafeteria about the same time that William did and proceeded to nibble at a couple of pieces of toast. Matt, Sven, Gene, Malkin, Kait, and Digo all wandered in at intervals and helped themselves to various breakfasts.

The night went by quickly, though Kiro felt awkward from the presence of Fidessa, had hidden herself away in his room and decided to make Kiro sleep on the floor while Kiro got the floor. Without disturbing Fidessa's slumber, Kiro got ready and was quickly out the door to join William at the cafeteria. "Yo." Kiro gestured at William, though did not stop to join him for breakfast. "I'll be heading to the stables I guess." Kiro muttered with uneasiness.

Enyo was up early as usual. She was the first one at the Smithy, even before the actual blacksmiths. She had sat and waited at the entrance prior to their arrival.

TJ hadn't bothered with breakfast, or a shower, before she headed to the stables. She figured the smell would make her ill, and the smell would make her smell. When she arrived she saw that she and Kiro would not be alone. There were a couple of other stablehands there as well and they quickly put TJ to work mucking out stables.

Matt wandered into the kitchens after a hasty breakfast and was directed to begin washing. Matt hadn't bothered to put on any of his armor or weapons and was instead simply wearing soft shoes, loose cotton trousers and a sleeveless tunic. Matt set to washing right away and found it to be not terribly difficult, just mindlessly repetitive.
"Well... This is going a long boring two weeks..." Matt muttered to himself.

Sven arrived at the smithy shortly after Enyo, at about the same time as the apprentices arrived to begin getting the forges fired up.
"This is just so not fair." He said as he stepped into the sweltering head of the forge room.
Sven could feel the heat sapping the moisture out of the air. He'd never felt a space that was so dry. He was confident that should he try, he wouldn't be able to create so much as an ice cube in such a space.
"Man..." He groaned and set to work at the apprentices directions.

Malkin was enveloped in his full body cloak and he had found a pair of gloves that went clear up to his biceps. He was janitorial duty. Which basically meant it was his job to go around cleaning the various facilities, emptying trash cans and generally just picking and tidying up. It really wasn't such a terrible job. He was mostly ignored wherever he went so it was pretty solitary, which he didn't mind one bit. But then there was one part of the job that really made it all worth it.

Gene stalked down the hallway his silent rage evident in his stride. He stormed past Malkin who was headed the other way. For some reason the damn man always tilted his head down just enough that his hood covered his face whenever he walked by Gene. Gene wasn't sure why, but it pissed him off. This whole demeaning job pissed him off. Damn Valenti! Damn him! Gene swore, once these two weeks were up he would never touch a broom again. Or a scrub brush, or a rag, or a trash bin. He'd become a soldier of such perfection that they'd have no choice but to promote him, give him a raise, and the respect he deserved!

Gene was not the only one upset with his current assignment, though Kait didn't know it, nor would she have cared, as she stormed into the laundry room. There were several large tubs meant to be filled with water each with a washboard in it and a stool next to it. There were lines strung up at various heights and intervals along the length of the room, which was quite tall and had windows on two adjacent walls. One wall had a couple of spigots and low tubs with drains in them and buckets for carrying water back and forth. There were shelves on that same wall with soap on them.
"God damn Valenti!" Kait snarled as she walked into the room. She kicked one of the stools over as she walked over to the spigots and began filling up one of the buckets.

Digo reported to the offices he had been instructed to arrive at. He was wearing a military uniform, which had been provided for him, and felt extremely uncomfortable in it. So far he had been tasked with a loy of taking documents from one person to another person and a couple of runs for coffee.
Well, it's not really hard. But it sure is boring...

"Yeah, and I'm off to the Arena I guess." Will said. "Talk to you after our shifts are up."
Will waved backhandedly as he turned and walked off towards the Arena.

The corps came into view, Kolo's hoofs hitting heavy against the ground. He was Raegar's trusted mount for several reasons: Strong enough to carry him and his gear, large enough for him not to dwarf the animal, better than some people within the corps during a fight, and steady, nothing scared him. Raegar rode the auroch without saddle or reins, his balance was steady and unwavering. Bane was strapped to his back and the bear's head was up over his head. He noted the guards, but paid them no mind. They wouldn't stop him with questions, they knew who he was, and they never wanted anything to do with them.

He made his way to the stable and climbed off Kolo's back and walked to the stable door, opening it, and the auroch followed him in. A couple of the newer stable hands came up, Kolo snorted and eyed them dangerously. Raegar waved them off. As they approached the back of the stable he noted the girl mucking out stalls. "You girl, quit that and come here."

TJ felt a surge of irritation when she heard a voice call out to her, calling her "girl." She turned, intending to give the owner of the voice a piece of her mind, and laid eyes on the largest man she had ever seen. She had thought that Tyrone was the largest man in the world, but this man would have towered over even him. The man wore simple clothing with bear trimmed hide boots, fingerless gloves, and a bearskin that he wore strapped on at the arms and with the skull, which was still attacked inside the fur, up over his skull like a helm. He had thick scruff on his chin and scars on his face.
TJ froze in midstep and stared for a second, stunned at the appearance of this massive man who looked as though he had been been hewn from a large boulder, or a gnarled old tree trunk. She gathered her senses again and stepped forward, her former sense of irritation replaced with one of trepidation.
"Yes, can I help you?" She asked meekly, so as not to anger the giant.

Raegar waved a shovel sized hand, beckoning the girl to come over. "You will take care of Kolo while he is here." He put a hand on the auroch's horns, they were easily half as long as she was tall and thicker than her arms. Kolo's shoulders were a head higher than the girl's eye level. "He doesn't like other men. The last one was nearly gored when he tried to enter his stall and I have business to take care of." Amusement sparked in his eyes as he watched the girl, her nervousness apparent. "Come along now." And he started walking toward the back of the stable where Kolo's stall was.

Kiro was filling troughs the moment the giant man arrived. Kiro took a moment to observe as the large man called TJ over. Who is this guy? Kiro thought as he made a mental note to himself that he had his Corps. dagger on him in case he was to intervene.

"My apologies." Enyo muttered timidly to Sven after hearing his complaint. She knew that it was her fault everyone was in this mess. Enyo got to work the moment the doors to the smithy were unlocked. Enyo had read a lot of books in her day so she knew quite a lot of weaponry and smithing. Enyo had intended to use her Ryus to help herself accomplish multiple tasks at once, but Kiro had warned her about using her abilities needlessly. And so Enyo went about her duties, though showing up the actual apprentices with her bountiful knowledge and tips she picked up in books.

Fidessa, who finally decided it was time to wake up, made herself at home in Kiro's room by using his shower. After getting dressed she sat down on the bed, not quite sure of what she was to do. "I'm hungry."

Drustwn opened his eyes, but did not stop the slow movements of his arms as he ran through another sword form. He completed two more in slow motion before lowering his hands to his sides and bowing his head. He then shrugged into a coat (not his normal long one), donned his wide brimmed hat and set off for the archives.
After a walk through the halls, Drustwn made his way into the Archives and breathed deeply. He liked the smell of the old dusty paper in the books and scrolls squirreled away here. He looked around and didn't see the young hunter Hiro, yet, so Drustwn waved down one of the archivists already on duty to inquire as to his duties for the day.

Mathias entered the laundry area, still yawning and blinking sleep from his just as Kait made her outburst. His sleepiness vanished in a heart beat and he made a pained expression, "Um... sorry? I'm not late am I?" He chose an apron off a peg and began tying it on, followed by a kerchief for his hair.
"At least let me get started before you start berating me," he gave a weak grin. Why, Father? Why?
