"Spirits? What..." She trailed off as she felt her stomach jump, and she pressed a hand to her stomach again, blinking. "Wow, bad candy. How long you have that in your pocket, Ophi?" She asked, wincing a bit.

"It's fresh," Ophiuchus responded nonchalantly. "And it wasn't candy. It was a spirit egg."

He stood up and stretched, gazing at the sky. "Well, I better head back to the clinic in case James and Athena wake up. Let me know when the spirit hatches and comes out."

"Hey, hey! What? What the hell is this? Spirit egg?" She thought briefly of retching, then decided to just shoot whatever happened to come out of said egg she'd begun to digest.

"Why thehell would I want something hatching in my stomach?" She demanded, pressing a hand to her stomach again.

"Not literally hatch," Ophi corrected her. "The pill dissolves, and then the magic quickly takes effect. A spirit is born from your soul. It's called a qareen. It's like a mirror of who you truly are."

"Oh, well, that just clears everything up. Thanks for that. And why, exactly, do I want this?" She demanded, narrowing her eyes as temper flared.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 24, 2010 11:38 am

"You don't, obviously," he replied. "But Ialo believes it's for your own good. It's the fourth part of your punishment. He did say he was going to give you something, after all."

Ophi debated for a moment on whether or not to tell Danni exactly why. The debate lasted only a moment, as truth won. "He thinks that half of all the trouble around you is because you don't understand love. Sappy, but I think he has a valid point. Love isn't one-sided. Having to deal with yourself in a more external fashion will be a good learning experience."

He smirked. "It'll do wonders for your self-control."

{{That's not an entirely uncommon experience for me. lol. But Bai Ching is in a different timezone, anyway, so it kind of works... Except not really. wink MFHS wouldn't move a day forward while Dymetri/Marcos and Lin stayed stagnant. lol!! Though that would be funny. But I just view it as kind of retro posting now. I like doing that.

And is Ophiuchus going to notice that Lin is not around? I mean, he put her in charge of the hospital wing and now she's nowhere in sight. I mean, Lin is the type of person that would be in the hospital wing 24/7, caring for patients and then trying out new potions. lol!}}

Alec was currently sitting on his bed, leaning back on the comforter with his hands behind his head. After the chaos yesterday presented he needed some alone time to cope.

He was worried, he couldn't lie. Ialo was just as off-the-hook as usual, and he certainly didn't handle Danni's situation as gracefully as he could have. Luckily Seven seemed to be keeping him on some semblance of a leash, so he could ease his mind about that for the moment. But there was also Ophi. He was DEFINITELY stressed over the people in the fever ward, not to mention his own concerns about Ialo's sanity. But there was more on the old snake's mind, Alec knew that, he just couldn't pin down what it was. Probably something private. And of course Riser... Alec's thought just trailed off, not really needing to be finished.

Alec closed his eyes and sighed loudly. He was glad it was a Saturday, he wouldn't have to do anything all day. He just hoped that things would start to work themselves out somehow, because he knew for a fact that there was no way he'd be able to even make a dent in the emotional train wreck that was MFHS.

Meanwhile, just outside the doors of MFHS, Silas was now standing in an Italian suit with slick leather shoes and a red tie. Perched on his nose was a pair of sunglasses from Brazil, one of the most expensive pairs in the world. Standing next to him was an equally well dressed man, but far shorter than he and far larger with a set of spectacles resting on the bridge of his nose-fat. In his right hand was a large legal briefcase, in his left a fat Cuban, still smoking slightly. Silas looked up at the school, closing his eyes and breathing in the fresh air as memories began to stir in his mind. It wasn't the memories that gave him his smile, it was the thought of what he would do to this place so very, very soon that had put the small smirk on his face. Silas motioned towards the door as he addressed his co-worker. "Well Isaac, shall we?" Isaac looked back at his co-worker and smiled. "I believe we shall Mr. Lime." Silas smiled back and walked up to the front doors, throwing them open in an overly dramatic manner. The wood doors creaked open as he looked around the halls at the startled faces of the children around him. He simply stared at them from behind his Brazilian specs, remembering how he had often been laughed at when he entered those same doors many years ago. Now though he strode confidently down the halls, taking the old familiar turns and twists until both he and Isaac made it to the Headmaster's door. Silas straightened his tie slightly before he rapped on the door 3 times, waiting patiently for whatever spectacle of tom-foolery was to greet him.

Both Ialo and Seven looked up when they heard somone knock on the office door. It took Ialo a moment to realize that Acaria, the secretary, took Saturdays off. Seven woul pick up the slack, but Seven was in here and not out there where the secretary's desk was, and that's why there was no warni - Ialo cut off his rambling thoughts. He didn't recognize the auras beyond the door. They were stern, though.

"Hey, Seven," he said, pushing off the wall. "Don't let anyone see you."

She nodded, and in a shifting of many gears and wires and a good bit of magic, she shrunk down and turned into a pale laptop computer, which Ialo picked off the floor and set on his desk.

He opened the door, and upon seeing the two men, there was no denying the "oh crap" expression on his face. Ialo panicked - did he forget something? Did he have an important meeting today? He didn't know these men, were they inspectors? Relatives of a student? They were obviously rich and serious, and Ialo was standing before them with a deer-in-the-headlights look and decked out in old sneakers, blue jeans, and a polo shirt.

".... Good morning," he greeted them. "Do you have an appointment?" Yes, that's right, that's what Acaria or Seven would ask first.

Silas just took off his sunglasses slowly and took a good, long look at Ialo. He waited for Ialo to recognize who he was. A few moments passed though and Ialo still had that deer-in-the-headlights look plastered across his face. Silas actually laughed softly as he attempted to correct his old rivals obvious mistake. "Come now Ialo, it hasn't been THAT long. Surely you remember me?"

Ialo bit his lip. "Umm...." His eyes were still wide, clueless, and hazel. Where the hell was this guy from?

"Nnno..." He wracked his brain. Somebody associated with the school? No. Uh... a customer? No, Ialo rarely ever met Enlil Corp. customers in person. Not a business associate, you NEVER forget those people. "Were..... you the mailman?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 24, 2010 3:44 pm

Silas' eye visibly twitched as his smile stayed on his face. It took every ounce of restraint in his body to not blow up and retain some semblance of composure. The corner of Silas' mouth twitched ever so slightly as he laughed off the huge insult he had just been presented. "....No, not exactly. Look, why don't we speak inside your office? This is a rather important matter that will be affecting you soon if you don't immediately." Isaac smiled slightly at this, walking past Ialo, deliberately pushing him out of the way as he did. Silas walked past Ialo as he stumbled back and took a seat in one of the chairs sitting in front of Ialo's desk as Isaac took the other. Isaac set his briefcase on his lap as he sat down, and as he did so his name could be clearly seen blazoned across the bound leather in gold lettering. Isaac Faulk Unger Harding, with the initials printed just below it: I. F. U. H.

Ialo frowned as the men pushed their way in. What the hell? Who were these douchebags, barging into HIS school, HIS office, taking up HIS time with this "important matter" crap?

One thing Ialo really hated was when people messed with his stuff - a dragon thing, actually. He let the door swing shut and sat behind his desk, pushing Seven's screen down so he could see them properly.

"Who are you," Ialo said. It wasn't a question, it was a command.
