Fluffy just nodded quickly as Ialo spoke rapidfire, and managed to stammer out his name - "A-ashl-ley Wil-williams" - before it seemed like he (the shirtless guy) had to just disappear. He just hoped that Athena was really okay, and hadn't done anything too stupid this time. He knew she was reckless... it was something that had never changed about her in all the years he'd known her. He stared, completely confused, at the little black cube and fell back into the chair that he'd previously appeared in.

He didn't want to leave just yet--even though the guy had said Nana would be out for a while, he was hoping she'd wake up soon and then he could talk to her. Maybe Adolf would visit her. Then he could talk to Adolf! But the older yokai had been so busy... The trasparent illusion of Fluffy chewed on its upper lip in deep thought.

...He'd stay for just a bit longer, just to be sure.

Kai chuckled and nodded once again happy the two spirits would be able to finally stop trying to kill each other, in his body at least. "Don't worry about them, they may be out of my body but I still have direct control over them, they just won't be fighting for a turn." He sighed walking out of the clinic leaving the others behind.

"By the way," He began, "I picked up these two as a result of a dispute between three Factions. The first was A nomadic tribe of human warriors, they don't have any real name besides 'the plain walkers'. Second is the Crystal Kin, Which just so happens to be kith, a bunch of humans that were changed into demons through over exposure of dark magic. Third is the Valkyrie of the floating islands, which koy is part of." He yawned cracking his knuckles.

He paused a moment to gather his thoughts then continued, "As you can tell the angels and demons are less the friendly to each other, and without their prince and princess they'll be at each other's throats again in no time. So guess who the two are that are fused with me ... the prince and princess. Since our minds and souls are fused right now Koy has mixed my memories up with hers and thinks she has been in love with you."

Ialo smiled slightly at Ashley and nodded, before bowing out of the clinic, following Kai out of the clinic. This was going to be interesting, working with Kith and Koy. Ialo was looking forward to that, if only to take his mind off Setsuka for a while.

He listened to Kai’s story in the hallway – the whole time, his eyes slightly widened in wonder and disbelief. “… Wow,” he finally responded.

“That is twisted, and just my luck. So if Koy’s memories are mixed up, who is she…. No, actually, do you think once she and Kith have bodies to call their own, all the memories will end up in the right place?” The Headmaster hoped that would be the case. Koy honestly scared him sometimes with her obsession.

It was a bit ironic, that Koy was who he was most concerned about at that moment, considering all that was ahead of Ialo, and that Kai just told him about yet another war.

Ialo opened the door to the healing classroom and stepped inside, holding the door open for Kai. He looked around at everyone already there, and at Ophi’s meaningful glances between him and Seven.

“Seven, what did you say to them?”

“Nothing of negative consequence…”

Danni looked over when Ialo entered, managed what passed for a smile. "Ah, good, you're all right. Never would have forgiven you if you'd gone and died on us." She said on a yawn, leaning against the wall again, letting her eyes drift closed. She'd sleep easier now, knowing he wasn't going to keel over and die any time soon.

Ialo looked at Danni, at her passable smile, and glared at the girl as he walked across the room towards her. She probably helped saved the world, fantastic. She was still alive, great. But -

Ialo snapped his fingers, and Danni's hair came to life with static electricity, causing long blue (and some white) strands of hair to reach up and out against gravity's will.

He stood right in front of her, and crossed his arms, staring at Danni with dark, cool eyes.

"Can you give me an excellent reason why I shouldn't just outright expel you for endangering other students, for recklessly charging into battle, or for scaring the s**t out of me?"

Danni jolted when her hair snapped with static electricity, and though temper wanted to snap up when he spoke, shame and guilt pushed it back, and she got slowly to her feet, her eyes on his. She was still a few inches shorter than him, so she had to look up just a bit, and her voice was quiet when she finally replied.

"No...No, I can't." It would do no good, she thought, to tell him she'd done everything she could to take the danger away from the students. She'd left Scandinavia, yes, but students had followed, and that was on her. She'd trained her whole life for this one battle, had thought herself ready, as ready as she'd ever be. But she had gone and body tackled Satan. If that wasn't reckless, nothing was, so she had to give him that, as well. And she had scared him, no doubt, and she hadn't meant to, hadn't wanted to. So he was right, completely.

But God, expulsion. Any color that she'd gotten back in her face disappeared again, left it white and cold. Expelled was the same thing as disowned. So she was to be pushed out again...And this time it mattered. Oh, Christ, this time it mattered so much. This was home, this was family, as the island and the Rinaldi's had never really been either. If she had to leave here...Well, it was her own fault.

((Actually, I think Ialo is the shorter one.))

The Headmaster stared his student down for several seconds. Danni had paled considerably in the time, he realized. He knew she wanted to stay here, but he was also seriously considering expelling her. Satan would come back, and he would get revenge. The whole world worked like that, it was a revenge system. Setsuka killed Luna as part of her revenge, and as part of Ialo's revenge, he would kill Setsuka.

At that thought, his eye twitched slightly.

"It's a lose-lose situation, Danni. I can expel you, and remove one more factor that would put this school in danger. Then I'd lose someone I could use to protect the school."

The static dissipated, and Danni's hair fell back down into position. Ialo stepped back holding his hands behind his back. Distance - he would not impose on her.

"I'm going to lose either way, so why don't you tell me what you would do? What if you were Headmistress, and I were the student? What would you do to me?"

((Really? Hah.))

Danni was silent for a moment, and her hands fluttered uselessly at her sides for a moment before she slid them into her pockets.

"If I were Headmistress," Her voice sounded so far away, she thought absently, but met Ialo's hard gaze, and when she spoke again, her voice was steady, if not all that strong.

"If I were Headmistress, I would remove the threat, since said threat would only be used mainly as a defense against the danger they themselves brought to the school. After all, there's always someone around to take their place as a defense. Students come and go anyway." Such logic she had, she thought vaguely, while in her head, there was a little nagging voice, screaming in denial, in protest.

This, that traitorous little voice shouted, was her whole life. Without this, without these people, this place, she was nothing. She didn't care about the power, about the status she had in the underworld. She couldn't care less about about the world outside these grounds.

Over a year ago, she'd left the island and stepped foot on the mainland. She had begun her life. Her life was Mystic Fountain. And she'd messed it all up. So she stood now, in front of Ialo, her body braced. Not to deflect whatever he threw at her next, but braced to accept it, and whatever else he wanted to hit her with. Because at the end of the day, she was in the wrong.

((Really. It's a bit of a small gag, considering a lot of people have tall characters, and Ialo is.... average.))

Ialo nodded. That was a logical conclusion. It would make a lot of sense to expel Danni. Not only that, but what would she do at the school anyways? As far as the general populace was concerned, she was dead. She couldn't show her face around the hallways, or students would think she was a ghost. As amusing as Ialo found that, it would mean a whole lot of explaining.

"But you aren't Headmistress. I'm the one who's the Headmaster right now."

((Makes me laugh.))

"Yes, you are." And he as a good Headmaster. So he would make the logical choice. Even as a part of her shriveled up inside of her, twisting in pain, she nodded.

What would she do, she wondered, searching in her head. She was still a part-time reaper when it was called for, of course. But she couldn't see herself spending the rest of her days jumping through portal with Arzol and the others, collecting souls and slashing at demons. She could try her hand at being normal, she supposed. Go to Europe or something, go to school, get a job. Be miserable.

((And he still doesn't know about that little deal Danni made with Riser.))

He sighed and slouched, brushing his hair back with his hand. The cold, impersonal feel was gone. "This sucks. Like I have the answers - who do you people think I am anyways?"

"Hea -"

"Rhetorical question!"

Ophi shrugged. He would keep his mouth shut for now.

"So I shouldn't keep you here, but I can't turn you out either. You'd probably be alright on your own, but honestly, I bet even you would get picked off pretty quickly. You'd be so miserable, you'd let it happen to you."

((Honestly, I think she forgot about it too.))

"I won't have you keeping me around out of worry. I've got a job in Hell I can fall back on." She said for lack of anything better, hunching her shoulders a bit as she thought about that particular option. Joining Arzol and the others around a campfire in the middle of nowhere, feasting on demon's blood and red meat, sending souls to the other side. More often than not, that other side ended up being Hell. Eventually, she knew, you stopped hearing their pleading screams in your sleep, your stomach stopped revolted when it was faced with the demon's blood. She'd gotten by on that once, she remembered. There was no reason she couldn't do so again.

"Yes Danni dear," Ialo said sarcastically, "Because the demons will totally take you back after that lovely little scuffle."

He didn't like being mean like this, but he was at a dead-end. He couldn't have Danni being on trouble resting on his conscious, but he had all the other students, and the Fountain, to think about as well. At least the teachers could take care of themselves.

You know, you can't go backwards, a little voice said to him. And you can't really go straight forward either. You're locked in on the sides too, and the ground you stand on is a time bomb.

"Nowhere to go but up," Ialo found himself saying, although he wasn't quite sure what it meant. He sighed.

She bit back the urge to tell him that, since the Ancients now rules over the underworld once more, the demons weren't treated nearly as badly, and would be more than happy to welcome her back into their ranks. They'd only gone after her because Satan had put a price on her head. But whatever...

"Up?" She echoed Ialo's words, and looked briefly to the ceiling in confusion. The only 'up' she could think of was Heaven. And she wasn't allowed up there. She may have soared through the clouds with Zapporo, may have fought with the angels against the demons, but she was still barred from the most holy of places.

"I don't understand, Ialo." She said, her voice weary.
