Fidessa glared at Malkin in slight irritation as he charged back into battle. “Suit yourself.” She accepted. “Just don’t get in my way.”
Sjana looked even more irritated than Fidessa. She not only had to fight many opponents, but also Fidessa as well. I guess I have to go all out now. Sjana admitted in thought. Gene’s arrows zoomed towards Sjana again. She quickly parried these inconvenient arrows away with her blades, causing her to not be fully prepared for Malkin and Fidessa’s approach.
Again Sjana and Malkin were about to clash, but Fidessa suddenly appeared between them.
“I knew this day would come!” Sjana spoke with words embroidered with anger as she cross-slashed her chain-swords at Fidessa. “I will slay you myself and save Fyura the trouble!” She roared.
Fidessa saw an opening in between her two swings and stepped forward into Sjana. Fidessa crossed her arms quickly in front of her and then thrust them outward at both swords, striking the hilts of both as Sjana held them. Shockwaves were released from both strikes, causing Sjana to loose grip of them and pulling the chains apart with incredible directional force. The swords went flying across the desolate town, chains and all. This finally left Sjana disarmed, though not completely.
Fidessa stepped forward with her left leg raised up high and then struck the ground with the heel of her foot and releasing a powerful shockwave into the earth. The tip of her foot was pointed up diagonally, causing heel to strike the ground at an angle towards Sjana. The Earth underneath them vibrated for the initial first second before splitting the ground in half towards Sjana like an earthquake. Not only did the ground split several feet deep, but also the topsoil was completely blown away or disintegrated by the immense shockwave.
This counter surprised Sjana. So she can use her ability with her feet as well? I have never seen it before. So this is what it’s like when FAX9 is serious… Sjana’s confidence began to waver. Sjana was left with no choice but to maneuver away from the splitting earth and the main direction of the shockwave, though still getting caught up in some of it. She knew she had not fully dodged it because her insides were rattled and felt a stinging sensation from them.
Before Sjana could regain her footing and continue her advance she became under attack again. Fidessa twisted around to her left and horse-kicked backwards with her right leg. She also turned again and then jumped into the air with a double 360-roundhouse-kick before landing. Each of these three kicks was accompanied by shockwaves as well, continuing to kick up dust and debris that were lying around from the pervious battles.
These smaller shockwaves came at Sjana like sharp slashes of water. She was not able to dodge so soon and especially these more agile strikes. That b***h! Sjana then had no choice but to take these attacks head on. She vigorously evolved her bones into the strongest iron they could be. I may not be able to change my bones back, but at least her attacks will not cause them to crack! The frontal shockwave hit Sjana followed by the two others raining down on her. Pain rushed through her like wind, though she was alive and her organs were protected fairly well by her heavy new skeleton.
Fidessa took up her stance, left arm and foot forward and palms open. “Oiva knew of this day as well.” Fidessa said, smirking. Fidessa turned to Malkin who she literally stole the show from. “I suggest you step back, this whole street might get destroyed in the next few moments.”
Sjana’s expression calmed, though it was just to counteract her own fury. “I will make sure she accompanies you to the afterlife.” She threatened, then drew enormously thick iron spears from the backs of her wrists the size of swords that pointed out towards her fingertips, creating stabbing weapons attached to her wrists. These weapons were about two feet in length and almost the size of the width of her wrists. The right weapon on her wrist began to spark and hiss with electricity with the other beginning to glow a dark red with heat waves rising from it.
Sjana was not going to let up. She opened up the pores of the skin in her arms and legs. Little pointy spikes pushed up from her skin where the pores were opening. These little spikes then grew in size, roughly a half-inch in width and a foot in length as they shot out at the speed of an arrow towards Fidessa, Malkin, Gene, Mathias, TJ, and Hiro as he approached.
Ajax's massive broadsword smashed against Matt's hammer. Sparks and steam erupted on impact as fire and water clashed. Ajax was surprised by this opponent in front of him. He managed to not only match his superhuman strength temporarily, but also blocked his elements combination with his fire affinity. As Ajax became preoccupied, Kiro sprang into position. His katanas flashed for a moment before an explosion ensued in between Matt and Ajax's attacks. Kiro was blown back, but easily regained his footing again as steam and debris slowly cleared.
Kiro looked down at his blades. There was blood on them. Did I get him? "Matt! Are you alright?" Kiro called out as figured came into view. Ajax was first to come into view. He was still alive and kicking, swinging his broadsword around with his right arm while seemingly stretching out his shoulder. "My, my, you are quite something, flame boy." Ajax said. "But KAX9... you sure are rusty, your cuts are too shallow." Ajax added with a grin as he held his left side with his other hand. There appeared to be a large gash where Kiro cut, though it was completely covered in ice. The cut wasn't bad, it just wasn't enough to kill the massive giant, not only that, but the wound was now sealed by Ajax's new ability.

Malkin had been about to dart in to flank the wire wielding woman with this new combatant, until she began unleashing her abilities. Shockwaves. He decided to stay off to one side for the time being, so as not to get caught up in those attacks. William had a similar power, and Malkin had witnessed its destructive force before. He was none to keen to be on its receiving end by accident. Malkin held up a hand to Gene to let him know to hold his shots. So far they had not been able to penetrate this woman's defenses, but this new warrior was taking the fight to her. If she was able to finish this fight for them then all the better. And if she faltered they would be there ready to jump in and help. As the group watched they saw the wire woman's skin open up and pointed spikes emerge. Then those spikes shot out at them like arrows. Malkin easily sidestepped the attack. "Protect TJ!" He called out. Tch. You've got to be kidding me. Gene thought as he, too, stepped easily out of the path of the oncoming dart. As he did he pivoted on one foot, drew his bow, and fired. The arrow flew through the air and clipped the wire dart that had been flying towards TJ. Both arrows tumbled through the air and then clattered harmlessly to the ground. Isaac watched as all of the rest of the team were attacked while he stood where he was unmolested. "I see how it is. Not even worth the trouble of trying to kill, am I?!" He said with a wry grin on his face, not sure if he should consider himself lucky or be insulted. He clutched at his reloaded pistol, wanting to shoot the damn woman, but afraid he might accidentally hit the other one, and so he waited, and watched events unfold before him.
Matt was starting to get a little worried. He'd never faced such an overwhelming opponent before. Among their generation of Hunters he and Kiro were widely considered two of the very best and here this monster was more than matching both of them together. Matt willed his flames to keep burning though he was starting to find it much more difficult, if his flames weren't burning it off of him he would have been coated in sweat, and he was heavily breathing in the little oxygen that escaped being fuel to his fire. Matt raised his hammer again. It had survived the impact of that massive sword without being broken or even bent. And Matt himself had managed to stand up to it, though he had slid back across the ground several inches, and his arms were almost numb from the impact. "Damnit Kiro!" Matt shouted. "Don't make me clean up all of your messes for you! Get in here and carry your weight! I know you're better than that! Hit him with some tricky trick and then slice him up nice!"
Will continued to watch. He heard what Matt was yelling at Kiro. He knew then that Matt must be wearing out. He'd known the Hunter to accept help, but almost never to ask for it. Especially in a fight. Will started considering making his move. There was plenty of rubble that he might be able to hide behind in order to get closer. Maybe he could pull the same trick that he did with the other girl with the fire abilities, using Matt in the middle to hide his approach. Or maybe he should simply make his move while the man's back was turned. It might not even matter if his sneak attack was successful. He found it hard to believe that that man might be able to take on all three of Matt, Kiro, and himself. And there was still Drustwn also. Guah, damnit. So many factors. So many options. But he could only decide once. And so he decided to wait just a little longer. If things continued to deteriorate he'd have no choice but to make a choice and head in.

Mathias yelped and dropped to his belly on the ground as the metallic dart flashed above where he'd been standing. He got shakily back to his feet and tried to will his heart to slow down...the very heart that would have been pierced clean through if he hadn't reacted. He readied his sword once more, for all the good it would do here. Man, he was so out of his league....
Drustwn pursed his lips and mused as he watched this warrior fight. He was skilled, talented, and very powerful. He was also overconfident, egotistical, and a show off. He narrowed his eyes in thought and murmured carefully so as not to let his voice carry,"William...we either wait until he is about to deliver a killing blow, or until he beats them and lowers his guard to gloat. Any sooner and we'll tip our hand. I know it's difficult, but I am sure your friends will forgive any bruises and cuts if it means saving their lives. When the time comes, do your best to disarm him. He might even let you, to defeat us barehanded to prove his superiority. If we can separate his from his weapon, it will give us a better chance." Drustwn hoped William didn't notice that he refrained from predicting a victory...

Hiro moved to join his comrades when the woman unleashed a barrage of iron in her path. He was not sure who she intended to hit but seemed more like an all out attack to take out as many of her enemies as possible. He saw the projectile move toward him forcing him to take cover by diving and tumbling forward. He heard it whiz past him but not before grazing his left leg. "Gah!" he muttered as felt the cut on his skin. He hoped it didn't have poison or anything.

Sjana charged right after firing several of these thicker short spears at her nearby foes. Fidessa again struck the air with an open right palm, sending a shockwave at Sjana. The shockwave was a direct hit causing severe pain, but Sjana battled through it with her reinforced iron skeleton. Fidessa had not expected Sjana to be able to protect herself in such a way and was taken off guard when she managed to get so close to her. This was Sjana’s best chance to strike her with her electrified and heated up wrist swords. Sjana slashed both arms across each other at Fidessa horizontally in attempt to either cut her in half or create a lethal gash in her sides. “Not enough.” Fidessa spoke swiftly in between Sjana’s attack. It happened in a flash, not even giving Sjana time to think or realize her demise. Fidessa’s hands clapped together in front of her with incredible speed. “Jinsoku,” was the last word Sjana heard before she died. Fidessa had created two full power shockwaves within both hands before clapping them together. This technique combines the power of the usual focal point of one shockwave with another, which makes the initial surge of power increased exponentially and expand out in every direction that is nearly inescapable. The shockwave created erupted immediately and in an explosion of wind and force that crushed earth below her, creating a crater approximately fifty feet all around her. The technique also destroyed dozens of buildings nearby, sending debris flying in all directions. This was Fidessa’s ultimate technique that she rarely uses except for special dangerous occasions. Sjana, even with her reinforced skeleton, was completely destroyed by Fidessa’s nearly point blank Jinsoku. “You underestimated me.” Kiro’s voice came from behind Ajax as the debris now completely cleared from the previous bout. Both of Kiro’s blades pierced through Ajax’s body from behind, severing his spine and exiting the front of her body. The sharp curved points of the katanas gleaming while coated with blood and bodily fluids. Ajax’s groaned and looked back the moment he heard the voice and felt the steel enter his back. Kiro’s eyes were a dark purple hue and the pupils were in the shape of a diamond. These were the same eyes Kiro learned in his previous encounter with Ajax and Liora, his Rychi eyes. There appeared to be two Kiro’s, but the one that had been next to Matt suddenly phased away into nothingness. “To die to one of your tricks…!” Ajax managed, but instantly coughed up blood. “Fyura will not be fooled… I’ll be seeing you in the after life, KAX9.” Kiro then pulled out both of his swords in one swift motion causing dark red blood to spurt and pour out from the fatal wound. “I look forward to it.” Kiro replied.

Malkin motioned to Gene and the two of them fanned out, one out to either side of the girl who had just defeated their strongest enemy with what seemed like minimal effort. Malkin held his separated blades, one in each hand, and stood poised to burst into motion. Gene likewise stood ready, feet spaced and prepared to move if he needed, arrow drawn back and ready to fire. "Alright, woman." Malkin rasped. "I appreciate you taking care of that other woman for us. But now it's time to tell us who you are, and what you want."
Will waited a moment and then stepped around the corner of the rubble he had been hiding behind. He kept his sword drawn and ready. "Kiro. Nice moves." Will said. "You certain this guy is going to stay down?" Matt stepped forward, He still held his hammer in his hands, though he was panting and looked exhausted. His flames were guttering down to just little flickers here and there and then to nothing. Matt raised his hammer up over his head. And then brought it down with all the strength he had left at Ajax's head.

Fidessa stood up straight in triumph. Looking up from the giant hole from her technique, she noticed the Hunters and Guardians surrounding her. “My name is Fidessa, but some call me by my code name… FAX9.” She replied to the cautious warriors. Fidessa took off her black and red fingerless gloves and let them drop to the ground next to the remnants of Sjana’s corpse. Fidessa then began tidying up her extremely long brown hair that had been messed up during the battle. “Hmmm… What I want…” Fidessa began thinking out loud. “I don’t think I want anything.” She admitted. “I’m just following in little Kiro’s foot steps.” She said smiling up at Malkin and began to tread up the giant bowl of a hole she had created.
“Didn’t think I could do it, did ya?” Kiro asked with a smile to Matt. “I’m surprised you could join me so soon.” Kiro added. “Anyway, Enyo should be down this hallway.” Kiro gestured down the hall to a large steel door that was marked ‘Staff Only’.

Gene lowered his bow, but kept his arrow nocked and kept his eyes on the girl. She may have seemed innocent at the moment, but they had no way of knowing what she might be planning. Malkin sheathed his blades, though that hardly left him unarmed. "Following in Kiro's footsteps. What is your next step then?" Isaac and TJ stood in the background with weapons readied and listened to the conversation.
From around the corner of a mostly collapsed building Kait, Digo, and Sven appeared. Digo had put his clothes back on and was supporting Sven, who looked like he wanted nothing more than to fall over and pass out. Kait was still nursing her burned hand, but she had managed to collect a couple of her daggers back up. The three of them walked over towards TJ, listening intently as it seemed that the battle had ended.
"Heh, it took you long enough," Matt said. "As for that, the one I ended up squaring off with quit and left when we were just getting started. But she did say that Enyo was in there." Matt shrugged at the door. "We should collect Enyo and go regroup with the others. They might still need our help." Will said. "God, I hope not." Matt said. "I'm spent. Give me an arm up, would you, Will." Will bent down and helped Matt get to his feet with one arm over his shoulder. Once the two of them were settled Will gestured at Kiro to lead the way.

Fidessa scratched the back of her right arm awkwardly after Malkin's question. "My next step, huh?" She restated the question. "Probably get out of here before Fyura and the rest of the Perfect Series arrive. I don't feel like dying today." Fidessa answered honestly as she finally made it to solid ground about several feet away from Malkin and Gene. "But plan on seeing me around in the future." She added with a kind smile.
Kiro wasted no time and quickly came to the large door. There seemed to be a lock on it and the door was made of iron. Kiro placed the sharp edge of one of his swords sideways on the knob and then pounded the hilt of his other sword onto the blunt side. This broke the knob, pulling it out from the socket. Kiro then pushed open the large creaky door and made his way inside.
The room was well lit with several odd machines and mechanisms that average citizens would never have dreamed to exist. Some men in lab coats along the far wall immediately ran away, escaping out of an exit. Kiro then saw Enyo. She was laying unconscious on a lab counter with some small contraptions attached to her and multiple leather straps on her arms, legs, and chest to keep her in place. "Enyo." Kiro muttered as he cut the leather straps skillfully along with the tubes and such attached to her. He then pulled off the remaining equipment from her petite figure. "Enyo, are you awake?" Kiro asked quickly as he sheathed his swords. Not waiting long for an answer Kiro lifted her up in his arms and turned to his comrades. "Let's get her home."

Hiro accompanied his companions in pushing further into the compound and continuing their primary objective. Getting through the village was one heck of a fight that he was not expecting to fight so soon. It was like a giant free for all old fashioned field battle. He saw that several of his companions had suffered injury and he too had not made it through unscathed. However his injuries were minor and he knew he could press on without too much trouble. Following their lead, he kept his guard hoping that there would be no further large battles. Hopefully this wasn't going to take much longer.

((Not much for Mathias to do. He's going along with the others.))
Drustwn was leaning against the door frame, his swords sheathed and his arms crossed as he watched Kiro finally rescue their objective. He was glad the fiery one had smashed the strong warrior's head. He hadn't been too sure he was dead for real until then. "Nice work, Kiro. In the future it might be best if you don't try this lone hero routine again. Take it from me, it just gets others killed," he inclined his head towards Enyo's unconscious form," but still, nice work." he pushed off the frame and turned, long coat flaring, and headed towards the exit.
