Jamie listened to the koroki and his sprite communicate as he closed the distance between himself and his gear. He couldn't understand the sprite, but it seemed to be happy to have a name. "Nox is a wonderful name to be called. An old word for night." The witch explained to both the koroki and the sprite. "There are powerful spells than can only be cast unter the dimming cloak of the night." He added, not speaking only to the sprite, unsure if Nox even understood what he was saying. "As such, the nocturnal hours of this world are associated with great powers. Lets hope you can live up to such a name." He smiled at the sprite as it fluttered around before he gathered his clothes from the bank of the stream. "You may call me Jamie."
The feminine man had only enough time to tie his hair into a loose ponytail and place his tiara atop his head when the cry came and Kishi and Nox ran off to locate its source. Not having time to finish dressing, Jamie grabbed the reast of his gear and went after the koroki and his pet. When he arrived on the scene Jamie clutched his garments in one and and raised the other. Electrical energy crackled around his palm as he prepared to cast a spell, but he lowered his harm, letting the energy dissipate harmlessly when Kishi finished off the creature.

The bleeding had just barely begun to stop from the effects of the potion when the Koroki appeared out of nowhere, flaying the armored creature like a fresh fish. The screech pierced his ears, making him cringe as the creature died. Gale pushed himself up to his feet, using his scythe to support himself as the flames of the Cervisong dimmed slightly. The deer started again when another man burst through the underbrush, lightning crackling in the being's hands. "I don't know what brought you this way, but you have my thanks..." Gale said, unsure how to truly thank the small being and his apparent companion. "It is not often my kind receives aid, but I am glad for it. I am called Gale by my people." He tried a curt bow, but winced when the motion moved his shoulder too much and blood started to trickle down his chest again.

╔═════════════ A second fiery deer stepped into sight at that moment and gave the one accompanying Gale a friendly neigh. A rare sight as these creatures were considered rare. Hopefully it meant that they would be safe for now.
"Kishi, and this is Jamie," the koroki answered while waving at the witch. Something then caught his attention and he froze while his mind attempted to register and process the information.
"You're male," he stated while Nox fluttered about merrily, clearly laughing at his surprise. Kishi took an extra minute to compose himself and quickly turned towards the harpy once more. Gale's condition needed attention and Kishi did not feel like having one more death on his conscious.
"Here, let me," he said and his hands started glowing as they came into contact with Gale and he flinched slightly as part of the harpy's injuries were transfered to him. "The roads have become very dangerous as of late. Sightings of dangerous creatures have grown exponentially. I am merely doing what I would like others to do as well."

Seeing as the danger had been dealt with, Jamie took the time pull on his robes with a grace that would seem impossible for a man to possess. "Hmm? oh, yes, if you must label me as such."[/color' Jamie balanced while he pulled on his boots and tied his satchel around his waste. "Gender has no meaning to me, or my kind." he gave no hint as to what he meant by "my kind", nor did he seep to be intentionally keeping it a secret.
While Kishi tended to the harpy's wounds, Jamie took the time to gather some herbs from the forest floor and began mixing them with other ingredients taken from his satchel. What sort of concoction the witch was mixing up was known only to him. He seemed unconcerned with the creatures of the forest, or the wounds of the harpy man, and he focused on his work.

"I can see that. The Larva was probably drawn by the smell of blood from the human that attacked earlier." Gale said, his lip lifting slightly at the sight of the two animals playing together. He wanted to shy away when the Koroki approached, but the pain easing from his shoulder was enough to make the Harpie relax into the small man's touch, exhaling quietly as the pain died down.
"It was nice to meet the two of you, but I should get back to Usank. I have... chores... And I wouldn't want to hold you up..." he fibbed, fidgeting uncomfortably and rustling his wings anxiously with the addition of the two sentient beings. Gale could handle an entire hoard of the Cervisang crowding around him and vying for his attention, but the addition of two other beings made him itch with the urge to return to his home far away from interaction.

╔═════════════ Kishi looked at the dark feathered harpy. Gale did not look too comfortable with their presence. It was understandable since they had just met. He did not want to impose too much, but seeing as they were all headed to Usank... "Are your wings in any state to fly? If not, we are heading to Usank too. If you need a ground escort, I think we'll be perfect. Actually, Jamie would be perfect since...he knows the area very well," the koroki explained and turned to look at the witch for support not having realized that he had started working on some suspicious concoctions. It was a good thing that he did because a winged beast picked that moment to swoop down from the air to have a go at the androgynous man.
"Watch out!"
The beast was too far for Kishi's dagger so he sucked in a deep breath and exhaled a small beam of light. The beam that had just shot out of his mouth slammed itself into the sphinx's sides just as it was about to reach the witch and deviated it from its flight's trajectory. The beast landed right next to where Jamie had been brewing his potions and skidded a good 10 yards due to the momentum before whirling around to face what he had thought would be an easy prey.

Gale attempted to swing at the weakened Sphinx, though a twinge in his shoulder caused him to falter long enough for the beast to knock the blade of his scythe aside and lash one of its large paws forward. The beast only got a scratch before the Gale was able to whip his scythe back up and deflect the momentum of the Sphinx, sending it harmlessly to the side.

Jamie was focused entirely on the potion he was currently making and didn't even notice the beast that has stuck up on the group and picked the witch as it's target. Even when Kishi shouted his warning the working elemenalist didn't look up from his project. Jamie looked up with a frown, disappointed that the koroki's attack didn't finish off the sphinx. He noticed the harpy man move in for an attack, however, so he returned to grinding the herbs in his mortar and pestle. The sounds of the following confrontation did not please Jamie though.
He could tell that the potion he was working on was going to come in handy, most likely sooner rather than later if the harpy continued to fight so poorly. While working his mortar and pestle with one hand, Jamie raised the other in the are and commanded elemental energies with a few arcane gestures. Electricity crackled across the air before bolt of lightning struck down. Unfortunately, his split focus caused the bolt to strike right next to the sphinx rather then getting a direct hit. The bolt was close enough for some electricity to arc through the creature's body, however, killing it.
Jamie stood from the place he had been sitting, hands still working the mortar an pestle. "We should continue onward. The carcass will only attract more wildlife." and with that the enigmatic mad directed the group through the forest, towards Usank.

╔═════════════ Jamie was right. The magical blasts and smell of blood would only attract more predators though before he left, he poked at the sphinx curiously. He never really had the opportunity to study these dangerous creatures up close apart from when they were dead. One of the cervisonges nudged him away however, as though reproachful that he would not leave the dead alone. He wanted to protest, but got the message when the other huffed aggressively.
"Alright, alright..."he grumbled before skipping away, footsteps light, but dagger still drawn in case anything would jump them. Perhaps now that he was displaying his weapon and traveling in a group, creatures would be less eager to strike.

Gale sighed as the sphinx died, relieved that he could just go back to the peace and quiet. He had enough of a supply that he wouldn't need to venture out again too near in the future, and once they got to Usank, he was sure the two that had latched onto him would return on their way. The Cervisong followed after him as far the first huts before fading back into the woods with slightly morose whine.

Farrokh smiled at Noa's comment about him being free to travel with him, at which he nodded and agreed.
After a while of walking through the forest from Usank, they finally came to the temple, but standing at the entrance was a man wearing a familiar cape. Farrokh froze. He was unsure if his mind was playing tricks on him because of losing Izanami or what, but he could swear that it was him.
" ...Bro? " he called out timidly, which was strange for Farrokh.

We were posting long enough, so might as well just say we made it here.
Hearing Farrokh's voice, Kamina turned around and saw him standing there.
" Well, I'll be! If it isn't my beloved little brother Farro! How's it goin, kid? " he asked running up to him and giving him a huge hug, almost back breaking. He let him go and looked him over, saying,
" My god! You've gotten big, kid! Haven't seen you in over a decade! ". He glanced over at Noa and asked,
" Oh. A friend of yours? Hey there! My name is Setsu Kamina. but you can just call me Kamina if you want. Please to make your acquaintance. ".
He had intense positive energy in his voice, almost as if he were breathing happy feelings into the two as he spoke, making them feel confident and comfortable.

The forest floor was a dangerous place to travel, hopefully they would not have to travel for too long, though they did make good distance on the platforms, til they were forced to come down. Noa made sure to keep his sight on the spirits roaming about for signs of danger, they could not afford to be taken out before they could reach their destination. Farrokh seemed more happy, after Noa had told him he was free to continue traveling with him.
After some time, Farrokh froze in place, as if he had seen a ghost. Noa followed his line of sight until it came upon another. This one wielded a sword, and seemed to beam happiness, a strange enough thing for Noa - who quickly noted it down in his book - before Farrokh spoke out to his brother. The man did not seemed all that surprised, more happy than anything else as he ran over to embrace Farrokh. Noa did not even know he had a brother before today, so all he could do was stand there quietly. After an exchange of a few words, the male turned to Noa and introduced himself as Setsu. Noa bowed his head as he studied the man, before speaking, his voice echoing from the trees. "My name is Noa, a pleasure."

( wont stay active so buffing shields would ) Bio: Noa calls upon the souls of the departed to enhance his skin and absorb some of the blows impact, instead using the force to charge his spirit in return.

Bio: Focusing on the spirits that departed, Noa pulls forth some to assist him in draining his opponents soul in order to strengthen their master. These spirits follow Noa though only for a short time as they were not meant to stay in the living world for long.

Hearing Noa's reply and seeing his face shocked and intrigued Kamina.
" I see! You're one of them mysterious fellers, aren't you? Uh...Kors...were they? Funny, I just met one not too long ago on my way here. " he said looking behind the two.
" But man oh man, Farro! You're out here making friends of all kinds! I'm sort of envious of you! " he said with a huge grin. This grin quickly faded into a serious expression. A very serious expression.
" Listen, kid. If you know what's good for you, you'll stay out of that place. There were just two people who went in there two days ago. I sat here and watched the entrance the entire time. They never came out. To add to that I would hear screeches and screams from inside, but they all fade to silence the next few seconds. I was planning on going in before anyone else to clear it out to make it safe, but they went in first, so I decided to see how they'd fare. I regret that now. " he said looking him straight in the eye.
" What you did about the Queen...was just plain stupid. Honestly, Farro, I didn't want you to kill her. I just wanted you to make it known that she did it for the wrong reasons. You could have been killed if it weren't for that rage and strength of yours. When you didn't come back, I thought that I sent my little brother to his grave. When I heard about this legendary Queen killer, I was glad to know you were okay, but I didn't mean for all that to happen. " he said further, looking up into the sky. He put his hand on his head and finished,
" Listen, Farro. I'm just looking out for you. I don't want to get you killed for real this time. If you are dead set on going in there, at least bring me with you so I can kick the a** of whoever tries to hurt you guys. I feel partially responsible for what happened to Old Libera, so I want to atone for it. "

After Kamina had made his remark about making friends all over, he nodded and turned to Noa, saying,
"Remember the big brother figure I told you about who punched me out of my depression? This is the guy. My big brother Setsu Kamina. " he said with a smile. When Kamina finished though and spoke of Old Libera, Farrokh asked,
" Old Libera? ", puzzled, " Is there a new one? ". He had no idea of the collateral damage that ensued after his assassination of the Queen and what is caused for the city of Libera.
