Chibi Halo
I'm sorry BFAA for I have been cheating on you with a guild run by a talking Pug.

I was so happy to see another Pug on Gaia! Not that impressed with the shop though tbh...

I like the idea of the guild and the shop concept but I think things could have been executed a lot better where the prices are concerned. Keep the $500 custom SD doll because you'd be paying for someone's time to make it but reduce things greatly like have the ultra rares for $50 and the recolors for $25 to $30 and some mid range stuff at $10 to $15. Then you have your appropriately priced get all of it bundles. I think more people would be willing to shop there if prices were more like that.

Exactly, but it seems Gaia doesn't want to sell reasonable priced items in this shop. I have a feeling the re-selling of the Angelic Halo a few weeks before, was a test to see if/how many users would pay so much. I don't know...

We have prices like that in the special sales though, so I suppose they thought they'd have to charge more or else having an exclusive shop wouldn't be that much of a difference. They've said it's a reward for people who have spent a lot but if the reward is just access to a shop where items are sold for outrageous prices, it doesn't really count as a "reward" in my eyes. confused

Right. A true perk would be a shop at slightly above regular cash shop prices on things you can't get anywhere else. However, since they're calling it a luxury shop the prices are going to be higher in price to go with the luxury tag. Perk and luxury sometimes don't go hand in hand it seems.

Fair play to anyone who has that amount of cash for frivolous/fun stuff (I do, but just not that amount and all in one go!) sweatdrop

I'm remaining in the guild out of interest more than anything. I understand that I will get booted out though, because I know I will not have spent enough GC to stay in next time. xp

So... I'm sitting here, eating late night pancakes that Ami made.

Oh, monthly hell. When don't you make me do odd eating habits? (I ate mostly chocolate all day. Meh.) confused

...I randomly decide to run Prime95 on the Tyan S2466N-4M workstation build, and a few seconds in... blacks out and crashes. stare Flip power supply switch, wait for Windows XP to boot up and finish, try Prime95 again... same result.

Now I suspect the +3.3V rail (and possibly the +12V rail/s) on the power supply. Combine this with the fact that the AMD Athlon/K7 architecture uses the +3.3V rail, and the RAM does so as well... (the +12V rails go to the hard drives and graphics card.)

...but I need another modern power supply to test this theory, and they're already in some builds: one is in a server, and one is in a gaming/mining build. gonk

---

Edit: May temporarily run back to the BFG nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra graphics card. But that's more power-hungry than the BFG nVidia GeForce 7800 GS graphics card already installed...? confused

*sighs* I swear, Pookie is the most stubborn man I've met. He gets off of work, pushing shopping carts all 'round for about... five hours in the hot a** weather.

That's not my complaint. I'm wondering why he can't just rest. He NEEDS to play his Street Fighter 4. Bah. *folds arms*

Also... I hafta get 75,000 fish/junk to get an Angelic Rod. DOUBLE THAT TO GET AN ANGELIC ROD PLUS.

(And for the curious, I've only nabbed... 3,168 fish/junk. Oh, dear heavens.) gonk

Oh, I should. It is mostly a hobby for now.

For the record: Testing the machine after it has cooled off for over three hours and running Prime95 again proves it is a thermal issue after all, as it lasted about ten minutes before blacking out and freezing. Some older desktops and laptops from 2001 on and most modern systems simply shut down to protect itself from overheating.

Still replacing that power supply, though. whee

So next month I have a fabulous trip planned. Going to Colorado and Arizona for ten days. Going to Denver to see an awesome golf tournament, planning on checking out Red Rocks, looking into going to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Preserve, and then we're going west to do the Grand Canyon. Sure I'll miss seeing off my niece to college when she leaves to go east to MIT but I'll be having the Great American Road Trip for my birthday.

Take lots of pictures, Cheebs!

So I had my first day of work this morning. Working overnight at a grocery store, restocking shelves. It a good decent job.
