n o i r i s t How's the ol' comp now, Ami? It's my boyfriend's 30th later this month and he wants his b-day presents to be a few computer parts for his next build. This is his wish list.Fine now. It has been determined that this is more of a thermal (heat) issue. The aperture somehow partially had something to do with it because it crashed even less often. There's still no case fans installed. Meanwhile, an older build for old Windows games and emulators (from 2005, 'upgraded' in 2012) has a quad-boot setup of Win98 FE, Win98SE, WinME, and Win2K, and only Win98 First Edition freezes with the network card installed, but is perfectly fine when removed. Cleaned contacts of the network card, but only freezes when certain things are run. The network card may be dying. The build linked in the second paragraph is fine. At least he didn't go overboard with the memory as some people do. I'm stuck in the Core 2 Duo/Core 2 Quad era, lol. Edit 2013/07/14: The 7th PC v2 ( Techpage here, updated motherboard being the DFI-Itox GCB60-BX) is finally fixed. Win98 FE no longer freezes since the network card had been replaced with the Intel Pro/100 S NIC. The card was fine, just some incompatibility with the board. :/ Then I decided to have fun with various versions of an old DOS Genesis/Megadrive emulator for Windows ME. Specifically, Genecyst. The sound was garbled in earlier versions, then got better until I made it to x.xx version. It was fine there, but it would glitch due to odd timing issues within Windows ME. Overall hilarious.

A cold in July? Oh, boy. Well, you know what to do, hydrate yourself and all of that. (I'll be getting the chicken soup.)

Sissy Blade Chibi Halo Aw man I can't believe I'm sick. I blame the baby. Curse you baby! *Waves fist dramatically*
A cold in July? Oh, boy. Well, you know what to do, hydrate yourself and all of that. (I'll be getting the chicken soup.) Well I just went through a two hour Coldcalm blast and am now on the every hour until the symptoms subside deal, which means I'll be finishing off the first bubble pack at midnight and call it a night on the cold meds. Plus, I have a Vicks inhaler and a waterless vaporizer to run when I'm sleeping. I need to have this mostly licked by Monday or else I can't go to my Tuesday dental appointment. I can't be sneezing and coughing then.

Ladies and germs, I have an announcement.
I HATE JULY. I hate it so much that I want it GONE FROM CALENDARS.*
How the HELL does the M-39 (Or Southfield Freeway, as some of us Michiganders call it) FLOOD AGAIN!?
Stupid heavy rains, that's what. Oh, and this week's freeway flooding WAS EVEN WORSE THAN LAST WEEK'S!
I missed piano practice this week because of that! Gah!
*RAEG*
*No, I do not hate you if you have a birthday/other memorable date in July. Please don't worry about that. Carry on.

Hot dentist guy put one of my left back teeth on alert. Seems I have the beginnings of what just might be a cavity. I haven't had one of those in thirty years. Guess that's what happens when you don't floss enough.

Adzella Oh you. Also, I freaking love your avatar.. Mysterious ( I know the feel, yo ) I don't know if calling him hot is a bit too much but he is cute. He has this adorable look about him, which means his mother has to be quite attractive because I've seen his father and grandfather and while he resembles his father quite a bit he has to get the part of him that makes him that makes him adorable from his mother. He comes from a family full of dentists and his dad has been my regular dentist for years.

Today's weather in Detroit, MI... OH GAWD I'M GONNA DIE-- *clears throat* Sorry.
Current temp (without humidity): 92F/33C. Heat index... 102F/39C!
And what does my father do in response?
HE TURNS THE AC OFF. gonk
Dad, do you WANT us to suffocate?! (Yes, I know that air conditioning is considered a luxury, not a necessity, but still!)

Yuck I hate overnights so much! cry Why does Wisconsin need to have so many fairs and festivals in the summer, and state fair start in August! ( in other words it was way to busy and I spent an hour running back and forth between the DT booths so one employee could finish her stocking and cleaning for the people in the morning) I think I'll keep earning gold to put towards art to make me feel better. 4 affordable pieces have been ordered already I think I'll go browse for more to buy Look at this cute little cheap=random style art I got yesterday ( I have a full body piece ordered already but they were doing gacha stuff to work through some art blocks, so I jumped on the offer) EDIT just got my art from person above now I feel really happy whee

That stupid modal page switching behavior has been quashed on my end. Finally. This should be added in an adblocker (most notably Adblock Plus): http://w.cdn.gaiaonline.com/src/_/e143bb5df5304ae98988a03a4dabca2e-1343-22/src/js/yui3/pjax-min.js Other filters (may or may not be needed; Adblock Plus): gaiaonline.com###pjax-overlay This works for the forums very well. If I find out how to completely block this in guilds, I will edit this post. Edit: This seems to work for the guild as well, on my end, too. Had to wait a while.

n o i r i s t Chibi Halo I'm sorry BFAA for I have been cheating on you with a guild run by a talking Pug.
I was so happy to see another Pug on Gaia! Not that impressed with the shop though tbh... I like the idea of the guild and the shop concept but I think things could have been executed a lot better where the prices are concerned. Keep the $500 custom SD doll because you'd be paying for someone's time to make it but reduce things greatly like have the ultra rares for $50 and the recolors for $25 to $30 and some mid range stuff at $10 to $15. Then you have your appropriately priced get all of it bundles. I think more people would be willing to shop there if prices were more like that.
