"Well, hell, what business did he have coming into such a battle if he wasn't up to par?" Lazareth rolled his eyes, got to his feet with a cracking of ancient joints.
"Why don't you ask the Ancients of such things? Hell knows the self important bastards always think of ways to heal the wounds they let get put on their sacrificial lambs." He said, jerking his head towards the group in the center of the valley.

"That's what I want to know!" Ophi cried out. "That potion should have been enough to knock him out completely, but it's already wearing off! All it did was make him look like a drunk!" Ophiuchus took this as a personal affront. He was one of the best healers in ages! He was trained by the very serpents that created medicine! How the hell could something of his creation fail?
The White Serpent pouted. "I suppose I could ask them, you have a point..." But HE wanted to be the one to heal Ialo! Dammit, he could do this!

"Isn't this what you have your damned spell books for, half pint? Go find something and prove your better than the assholes who think they're all high and mighty just because they walk the gray line betweek magicks." He said with a scowl for the ancients, and thought that the leader of the lot could stand to take a moment to pull that stick out of his a**.

"...." Ophiuchus could not think of anything to respond with. He crossed his arms, the soft white off-fabric draping at his elbows. He shook his head, thinking to himself, his long white hair clinging to his back and shoulders.
"I suppose I am dismissed then."

"You suppose correctly, half pint. Time's a-wastin'." He said, then flipped onto his back again, settling in for a nice nap.

Ialo groaned as Adolf picked him up, and laid him back down again. Perhaps he actually heard the blood sloshing about in his body, perhaps he didn't. Nonetheless, he laid there, breathing harshly as he began to sweat. His eyes had rolled back into his head, and he was unconscious, lost in the terror of his own mind.
"Not... again...."

Meanwhile, Back at the School...
The sun had set a while ago, but it didn't really make a different. After days of sunshine, the sky had clouded over all day and tonight, a fine mist fell from the sky.
From the depths of the dark lake by the school, a terrifying creature bubbled up to the surface. With thick elegant tentacles, it crawled to the shore. The squid stared at the edge of the forest. From its amethyst head, two pale icy lavender wings erupted.
The squid continued to lift itself up, until eventually it hung in the air. It screamed, a pitch silent to most humans, but not the creatures of the forest.
Not to those delicious little imps.
The giant flying purple squid floated into the forest, looking for dinner.

((IT'S THE GUY WHO NEEDS TO POST!!!!!)) Mitsuki10191 Danni glanced up at Riser, blinking back into focus. "Whazzat?" She muttered, then forced herself up on her elbows, narrowing her eyes at him. "Yeah, sure...What's up, Riser?" She said, pushing back the exhaustion to try and concentrate on the person in front of her. Damn it, she just wanted to sleep. ((Look, I even quoted her post for you.))

Strykerius seemed to emerge from a tree. Actually, he had emerged from a tree. The bark split open, and Stryker stepped out. He was rather tall for 17, standing a good 6'6". He looked around, and nimbly made his way to the front door of the main building. He had been here for some time, taken a class or two, but he largely decided to remain alone. Observe the place. That time was over. He was going to actually take part in the school. He rapped lightly on the door, then let his hands hang by his sides. The majority of his face was covered by the collar of his cloak, which reflected no light. It actually seemed to absorb it. He waited for awhile, hoping to catch a teacher, or the Headmaster. He needed to talk about enrolling in more classes. As he waited, he willed the winds to whip up, and a hidden smile emerged as the trees blew in the breeze, enjoying it. He smiled wider, knowing they were laughing.
He did the same.

The giant floating purple squid glided from the forest, having dined on imp tonight. It stared at a tall young man at the door of the school with basketball-sized eyeballs. It, or rather, she, crooned at the human-looking creature before floating through the wall of the school. As the last tentacle passed through, the door unlocked with a quiet click.

Sly stared, and had to pick his jaw off the ground as he saw a Squid. Floating. Crooning at him. And phasing through a wall. He wiped at his eyes. He needed more sleep. Or... he needed to not sleep in a tree that had a Marijuana plant near it. Hearing the door unlock, he willed the wind to push it open for him. Then, he held up a hand, a ball of light appearing in his open palm. While lights may have been on, most electronics malfunctioned around him. Something about technology being messed up by the magical energies around a select few. He moved through the hall, looking around at.. Everything, really. It'd been awhile since he had been in this part of the school. "Hello," he called softly, though his voice echoed. He, once again, willed the wind to carry the sound throughout the school.

The squid was there inside, glowing with that slight glow that things not of this plane of existence possessed. It crooned again. It had no telepathy, no speech, no way of communicating to creatures possessing sophisticated language.
But it had tentacles.
The squid, an icy purple color, floated behind the young man and pushed him gently to go down the hall. Neither the Headmaster nor the physician were in, but there should still be some teachers around somewhere to talk to.

A that moment, Gia was walking down the hall, with Milo perched on her shoulder. When she saw the giant squid passing by, she stopped, blinked, then smiled.
"Well, hi there. Aren't you just precious?" She asked, grinning in genuine enjoyment.

He turned, having been shoved from behind, and turned to see the Squid again. He sighed, shrugged, and reached out to place a hand on the Squid, stroking it softly. "I think I gotcha, friend." He said in a soft, yet deep voice. One that quavered the air with power. He began to move down the hall, turning to say over his shoulder. "Hey, are you coming?" It wasn't in so much of a 'follow me' as an actual question. He wondered whether or not he would have a massive, floating, otherworldly Architeuthidae following him.
