(( Drustwn got a little side tracked? razz ))

The moment Gene let his arrow fly the battle began. The arrow Gene shot was swift, but it was caught abruptly midflight by a hawk that swept down, catching and breaking with its powerful beak. “Quite hasty, aren’t you little pup?” The large breasted woman commented as she deflected many more with the use of even smaller birds such as crows, though the arrows Gene was shooting as well were striking some of them down.

“Nhea, you best get behind me and not waste the lives of your animals.” The large beast-like man suggested to the large breasted woman and then stepped in front of her to block all of the remaining arrows with his thick skin that appeared to block arrows as if he were a shield.

“I thank you, Rhino.” Nhea replied. “I’ll start up a counter attack while you guard me.” Nhea then commanded the remaining four crows and the large hawk to descend on Gene, swiftly swooping and diving and ready to bare their talons. More small slithering snakes also crept out of the woodwork in attempt to strike Gene, though they were still several paces away from striking range.

TJ’s arrow was not as swift as Gene’s though it was still a danger to the unarmed man who first appeared after the ambush. Just as the arrow was about to impact the man brought his hands up and water gathered around both of his palms. He then used both hands and clapped them together with the arrow in between, crushing it to pieces, and continuing this until they stopped coming. The man sighed, “That woman is trying to dirty my nice clothing… Will I be able to keep this up?” He spoke to himself.

With the same speed it took to shoot Drustwn’s arrow the woman wielding the razor sharp close-combat bow drew her own arrow and fired it at the oncoming arrow, breaking both arrows on impact. “Now is not the time to be worrying about your clothing Xin…” The young girl stated, shooting about arrow to block another arrow aimed at Xin. “You will pay more attention that way.” She added afterwards.

“Oh, my sincere apologies for hindering you, Megan.” Xin apologized with a gentleman’s bow.

“You’re hopeless.” Megan spat while shooting two sets of arrows twice in a row in a blink of an eye, two arrows at Drustwin and the other two Digo who was charging the entire group like a wild boar.

With the ranged battle on the way, the three up close and personal fighters sprinted to the center of the battle. The large muscular man with two large scimitars ran in to engage in battle with the charging beast, Digo, hopefully using the arrows Megan shot as a good opening.

The girl with a dress made of blades came up from the gear behind the large man and then broke right and dashed at where Mathias stood ready. While she charged, she also swirled her chained weapon with a sword attached to it, above her head, building up momentum before she let it fly. It shot around from her right at Mathias with amazing speed.

“I got your back, Hfie.” The shirtless man said quickly to the girl with the blade dress. As he got closer you could tell something was different about him. His back, shoulders, and arms were all much larger than a normal man and his body seemed to have small black holes in it all over with colors metal plates all over his body.

“No need to worry about me, Gear. Back up Phear instead!” Hfie replied with a smirk as she continued her assault on Mathias.

It looked like the war was on, and the woman in the black dress who was closest to all of the intruders did not even make a move or look worried at all. She had not moved an inch or batted an eyelash since she took down that building from the beginning. Despite what was going on, she didn’t even look interested.

Kiro was well outside the range of the battle along with Matt and William. “Kiro hand signaled for Drustwn from two blocks down to find an opening and get through to them to continue on. “We must hurry. We cannot waste the time to fight all of them.” Kiro muttered to William. Kiro had hoped they would get the cover they needed to evade Axis and continue as the Advance Group as they had planned.

It tore at Will's heart to leave his comrades behind like this, but he knew that they had come here to rescue Enyo. And if they spent all of their time focusing on the first group of enemies they ran across the rest of their foes could easily take their captive and run with her. He saw the same desire to stay and fight with their friends in Matt as he looked back, flames dancing up his arms.
"Matt, come on. We need to secure Enyo first. Once we have her you can feel free to crispy fry as many of them as you want on the way back out."
Matt clenched his fists, grit his teeth, and turned to go with William and Kiro.

Gene saw as the Advance Group broke off from the rest and continued on.
Heading in while we keep them distracted. Guess we'll have to hold them as long as we can.
"Support Group, form up! Guards Group, keep them off us!" Gene yelled out, taking command of the remaining Corps. members.
Gene let fly arrow after arrow, alternating targets randomly to keep them guessing, not stopping even while he spoke.
TJ fired the second bolt she had prepared, which contained a glass phial that shattered on contact with whatever it struck, though she hadn't actually aimed at anything in particular, and released a chemical that became gaseous on contact with the air. The gas began spreading out immediately and would cause anyone who inhaled it to start coughing and tearing up. The best part was that it had a small dispersal area and was completely transparent. It did have an odor, though by the time you smelled it it would already be starting to affect you.
Once she fired that bolt she began loading and firing normal bolts again, mimicking Gene and firing at her targets randomly.
Isaac simply stepped between the two archers and prepared his halberd should any of the enemies come near.
Sven used his innate ice abilities to create a shield made of ice in his left hand and began forming daggers of ice in his right and sending them twirling through the air at the beast-man.
((btw, Digo never actually charged in. But I'll go with it that he did simply to defend against this guy...))
Digo, in his man-reptile form, took the two arrows that were shot at him, though they merely caught in his heavy scales and seemed to do little damage. Digo readied himself to defend against the scimitar wielding attacker, sure that he was about to lose a limb, but was willing to trade it if he could close with his fangs and claws. Instead he saw a flash of motion and suddenly there was a new warrior between them.
Malkin had shed his cloak and revealed himself as he truly was. His entire body was jet-black. as were his eyes. He had pronounced and pointed canine fangs revealed by the snarl he wore on his face. Black curving horns protruding from his head, like some kind of demonic ram. Claws could be seen at the tips of his fingers where he gripped a pair of identical scimitars. He dashed in, quick as a flash, and interposed himself between Digo and the scimitar wielder. He brought the ends of the two weapons together and with a twist locked them into a single double ended weapon. He spun and twisted, sending the twin-scimtar-staff into elaborate spins at many angles, suddenly stopping and reversing direction in a moment.
Malkin spun into range of the larger opponent and with a few quick movements and spins sent his own weapon out in a series of moves intended to knock both of the opposing scimitars wide and then stab up right through the man's heart.
Digo stared at the fiendish looking Malkin for a moment and then decided to make himself useful. He turned and charged at the beast-man of the opposing forces, hoping to take him power for power.
Kait was simply stunned for a moment. Seeing Digo change like that was both repulsive and entrancing. and she was shocked to see Malkin's true form as she had never seen him without his enveloping cloak before. She only knew that he was one of few of the younger generation of Hunter/Guardians that was allowed to take missions without a team.
Not sure of what to do she decided that since every one of these people had some sort of ability and that she did not know what they were she would just provide one of her allies backup, and so she ran after Digo, to assist him with his beast enemy.

Drustwn's brows raised when the archer woman blocked his arrow with one of her own. He was so surprised by that amazing feat he barely managed to react to her return fire. He interposed his bow, catching her first arrow. Her second impacted and shattered his weapon from his hands.
"Oh...oh you b***h..." he muttered.
He saw Kiro's signal, and stepped back as Gene rallied the others members, letting them form up as he ghosted back and around to head towards the rest of Advance Group. He did hope he might run into that woman again later. He had really liked that bow...

Mathias watched as the blade-dress girl charged. She swung that chain-sword like it weighed almost nothing as she advanced, and he tightend his grip on his shield. No problem...he'd faced down a giant snake that did the same thing...sort of. Yeah, he could take her... he hoped. Her chained blade swung towards his left, luckily his shield hand, and he braced it against his body as he leaned slightly away from the attack and angled his shield up, hoping to more deflect the attack that outright block it. The impact was solid...more like a battering ram, really. Mathias staggered sideways, barely keeping his feet.
"Holy crap! Note to self, do not let her do that again..."
He looked down to see his shield had a dent, along with a large patch of metal that looked like it had been shaved off. That couldn't be good...

Hero pressed forward after the rest of his group. It seemed the advance group would go on while they held their opponents in their current area. It seemed as all hell broke loose as arrows flew along with sounds of shattering items clashing metal.

Hiro looked to his right and left. Several of his comrades had already engaged the enemy while the archers began their assault on the others present. So far so good. The arches were getting the job done in distracting if anything the enemy while the others had closed in and were now in melee range. He readied himself for any who would close in.

“The battle has progressed smoothly.” Zero stated to his surrounding company.

“Yes, but we will have company inside the building in not too long.” Oiva replied.

“That is why we setup counter measures.” Ugene answered Oiva’s concerns.

“That is not my only concern. That warrior engaging Phear… I believe will be a problem. Luckily for us Phear is the only one who can keep up with that one’s movements.” Oiva said.

“I see…” Zero trailed off. “We will send the signal to target that one once Phear makes an opening.”

As Gene continued his barrage of arrows, Nhea’s massive hawk dived from the sky down at him while baring its talons. The several accompanying crows were the hawk’s cover to get close in order to take any unnecessary arrow hits. At the same time the snakes Nhea had recently sent out were now circling Gene and would strike him the moment his guard went down.

Right after Hfie’s chain-sword smashed into Mathias, she charged his front as she leaped and spun in the air with her arms up high. Her body twisted so fast it caused his dress to extend outward and turn her dress of blades into a cyclone of death.

Phear was ready to engage Digo when a new figure (Malkin) appeared in between them. It looked to Phear to be a demon, but he knew otherwise. Phear noticed Digo turn away to charge at Rhino, which peaked his interest more with this demonic looking warrior in front of him. To charge at me and then turn tail at sight of his ally engaging me? He must be quite confident.

“You’re quite interesting!” Phear shouted as Malkin came in close, his scimitars swiping every which way. Any normal warrior would have been mincemeat, but Phear was no ordinary warrior. No ordinary human in fact. His series was occasionally called ‘superhuman.’ Phear twisted and flicked his wrists just as fast as Malkin could spin and swipe his scimitars, blocking and parrying the attacks as they came. Phear smiled wide and was actually quite enjoying his new opponent, making no move to go for a counter.

Gear now came up from Malkin’s side in order to flank him. Screws and bolts on his arm twisted and contorted with small metal sheets turning and flipping around. Gear’s entire right arm began an enormous blade with what looked like to be a crossbow mechanism on top of the forearm of the blade. Gear’s heavy body stampeded towards Malkin with his weaponized arm ready to strike. Just behind Gear was in range, Phear took it upon himself to sidestep toward Gear in a blink of an eye and ram gear his open palm with his left hand and his forearm with his right arm. Gear’s metal body dented in several inches causing bolts and screws as well as some metal plating to go flying off in several directions. The impact Phear caused on Gear sent him flying backwards over ten feet and falling on his back. “This one is mine!” Phear roared.

Across the battlefield Sven’s ice daggers that were sent flying at Rhino had parried one of them carefully with one of his long horns. The two more daggers were tougher to guard against and managed to stick themselves right above Rhino’s right eye and right under his right horn, though the thick skin kept the damage minimal and shallow. Rhino was determined to guard Nhea behind him from harm, so the moment the enemy beast-man switched and came at him, he was more than obligated to meet him head on with horns clashing.

“Megan and Xin, engage the two archers with the extra guard. Now.” Ugene ordered Megan and Xin both telepathically during the middle of the fray.

“Phear doesn’t seem to want to listen to us.” Zero commented on their odd ally.

“This could be the reason for the fog in my visions. The battle is not yet determined.” Oiva said with a worried expression on her face.

Xin and Megan obliged immediately on the order. Megan sprinted in front of Xin, blocking and slicing oncoming bolts and arrows as they came. One of the bolts Megan parried had broken open awkwardly in some way, confusing Megan for a moment before continuing her charge with Xin. Megan thought nothing of it, but Xin felt something wrong almost instantly. There is something wrong in the water molecules. Xin thought to himself as he began filtering it out around himself and within his body and outside orifices.

“Megan, Xin found something wrong in the air. He managed to filter it from getting inside his own body using his hydrokinesis, but you won’t be so lucky.” Ugene reported to Megan telepathically as he used Oiva’s clairvoyance to figure out what had happened and Zero’s stimulated brainpower to determine course of action.

Megan could already feel the pain and itchiness inside her throat. Her eyes started to water, but she kept them open. Ugh, this is annoyingly painful. At least I’m the best choice to get infected with this chemical. I can produce anti bodies extremely fast to fight off any infection and then I can quickly regenerate any damage taken. Megan thought to herself as she toughed it out and continued to block arrows for Xin as they came right in front of TJ, Gene, and Issac.

Megan’s vision was now going blurry, but she completed her main objective to get Xin in close. Water gathered up around Xin’s arms on the way over to the enemy and he had now frozen the water in large icy blades that encompassed his elbows and entire forearms and extended in a curve shape from his hands two feet long. The ice on his elbows also protruded slightly enough to be used as a stabbing object. Even with blurry vision Megan went in straight for Issac, swinging her blade-bow like a large cleaver at him straight down. Xin came in from behind her, attempting to strike both archers at the same time with to uppercuts from each icy sword.

The dark haired girl, Sjana, still only stood and observed the battle as it began to heat up. Though, her interest still seemed nonexistent. Her expression was serious, yet bored, her eyes only scanning the fray with a slow gaze.

The Advance Group was now circling around what Kiro remembered to be one of the two main Axis headquarters. It was entirely quiet and there were no guards it seemed. “There is only one way inside. The front door. The walls just appear to be brick, but they are actually reinforced behind with them with steel plating.” Kiro whispered to William, Matt, and Drustwn as they rounded the corner to the front door.

The front door was wide and tall. It was made of just simple wood, but fancied up with elegant carvings and smooth wood coating. The handle was painted gold. You would expect nothing less from an upper-class hotel. Kiro nodded to his allies as a signal to be ready and then he pulled hard, swinging the doors open.

The large doors opened up into an even large room. It was an enormous dome room with marble floors and large stone columns. There were expensive vases and paints on every shelf and wall you could see. On both sides of the room there were staircases, which curved upward and towards the middle. Opposite of the entrance was a back wall where the front deck was. On either side of the desk was a door leading to the back. The only things keeping from Kiro and then Advance group from continuing were the two individuals behind the front desk.

There stood two lovely ladies, one familiar, and one not. It was Liora. ((Old Description: She wore leather boots with many straps in the front; her legs were covered in black skintight leggings. She had a short red skirt on over the leggings and a tight red and black blouse. Her face was pretty, but fierce and her hair was straight and jet-black. ))

The other female was slightly taller than Liora and had slightly long, straight white hair that splits down the middle of her forehead. She had extremely blue eyes, though her left eye was covered with a black eye patch. From the neck down to her toes she was completely dressed in jet-black demonic looking armor with a demonic face carved in the chest piece. Her hands were also covered in a set of large black gauntlets.

“Welcome! I hope you all will be staying the night!” Liora smiled wide, greeting the four of them as they entered.

“Its too bad that we’re booked tonight.” The white haired female chimed in with a smirk.

(( Hiro should back up Mathias maybe. razz BTW, should we use red for the inside fight?))
PostPosted: Mon Jan 21, 2013 7:03 pm

Mathias gulped when the blade wearing girl attacked again. She leapt into the air towards, him, spinning to make her bladed skirt lift with the momentum and turn her fashion statement into a deadly saw blade. Mathias heard his old teacher's gravelly voice,"Do what they least expect boy. And if it is stupid, so much the better!"
Mathias felt a battle grin spread his lips, and instead of retreating, dodging, or blocking...he charged. Mathias let out a whoop of excitement as he ran forward. At the last instant, he dropped and rolled. The quick manuever spared him her attack, but he still felt a few pings off his armor.
Mathias rolled back up to his feet and immediately reversed direction, charging right back at the girl, his shield held before himand his sword already swinging in a powerful overhand chop.

Drustwn snorted and smirked at the two women,"Cute. You didn't mention witty banter was part of the research programs here, Kiro."
His eyes went from one girl to the other, trying to gauge which posed the most danger. Knowing these Axis fellows, it would be the less dangerous looking happy one.
Drustwn slipped a hand into his coat, and lifted the other one to the hilt of his sword that protruded over one shoulder,"We either all stay and fight, or William and I will hold them while you and Matt get Enyo. Your call, son."

((sure, if Raolin doesn't mind me joining in the fun.))

Hiro held his ground as the archers shot past him to the foes before them. Although it slowed them slightly, they still seemed determined to reach them. Both had taken separate sides that he could not retaliate against both. He had to choose one or the other. He decided the one with the icy blades was the current immediate threat and turned his attention to him.

Intercepting the path in which Xin was going forced the man to execute his first attack prematurely. Using his staff he deflected the first blade successfully, but was forced to the side when the second came due to the first's initial hit. However he had successfully blocked if not delayed the attack.

Now was the time for retaliation. With a cry he charged Xin. He had to keep the distance advantage with his staff until he knew more of the abilities of his opponent. Being able to create weapons of ice was just a tease of what was to come.
PostPosted: Wed Jan 23, 2013 9:33 pm

Malkin was honestly not surprised when one of the Axis experiments moved in to help against him and the one he was currently engaged with attacked them out of some sort of territorial bravado.
Just like these sorts of people. Trained to fight, but never taught true teamwork. And if their abilities are based on fiendish abilities they probably have heightened aggression too... Let's find out...
Malkin suddenly ceased his spinning whirling barrage on his opponent and began dancing around him instead. He began to deftly twist and evade his way away from the incoming attacks, not even bothering to use his blades, though he still kept them in a firm grip and was prepared to put them back to use if the need arose.

Gene allowed his bow to fall free from his fingers, dropping so that it fell across the top of his foot. He swung off his shoulder the large blocky case that was his crossbow. The press of a plate released it and the frame fell away, the bows snapped out into place, and Gene was able to place his hands on the trigger. He took aim dead center at the formation of incoming birds, where he knew the large hawk to be hiding behind them, and fired with a crossbow that was nearly a ballista.

Sven had been about to launch himself into the fray against the apparent water manipulator when Hiro was suddenly there. Sven pulled up short, not wanting to get himself entangled in another's fight. Instead he just managed to notice the snakes moving through the grass as they were about to close on Gene. Sven waved a hand and exerted himself slightly. The ground all around Gene suddenly froze over. freezing over the grass and everything in it.

Digo closed with his opponent, throwing one hand up to attempt to catch him by one horn. The other darted through the space between them aiming to tear into the enemy's throat.

TJ saw that two of the enemies had diverted to come at herself and her group. She pulled another two of her special bolts from their holster and loaded one and fired, then rapidly followed with the second. One for each of the two new enemies coming at them. Then, without even taking time to see if the bolts would hit, she loaded again and sent more bolts at them.

Kait remained right behind Digo as he charged at the deformed, animalistic, enemy. When he closed to combat range she darted to one side, drawing and hurling a set of daggers aimed for his lower legs. She hoped that if she were able to cut his legs out from under him then Digo would be able to overpower him quickly and they could move on to the next enemy.

"Goddamnit!" Matt griped. "Just how many of these bastards are there?"
Matt was getting frustrated. He had been forced to leave a large number of his allies and friends behind to an uncertain fate. He understood why he had been placed in the Advance Group, but he was not the kind of man that was meant to continue on and leave his enemies behind him.
Flames licked up Matt's arms as he took a firm step forward, towards the two new enemies. As his foot came down both of his arms burst fully into twin pillars of flames that rose up and licked the air well above his own head.
"Matt, no!" Will snapped. "We don't need this place going up in flames while we still don't know where Enyo is!"
Will stepped forward ahead of Matt, placing the raging flames at his back. "Drustwn and I'll take care of these two. Besides, Matt, I'm sure their saving their best for last. That's where you're needed. You two go. We'll catch up shortly."
Will dropped into a fighting stance, his sword held horizontally in front of him. He was suddenly very glad that he had taken some time to train with Master Sean, and wished he's done so more. And also wished that he had his father's sword with him. No. He had left that up on the wall where it belonged. He had to rely on his own power now, not his father's weapon with some old stone stuck in it. He'd win this one with his own power, and surpass what he'd had with the Howling Blade.
Matt was struck by what William said. He was right, Matt knew he had the most volatilely explosive power of their group. And Matt knew they would need that kind of bang before this was over. But that didn't mean he had to like it. Not one bit. Matt clenched his jaw, suppressing his rage, and quenched his flames back down to sparks and flickers.
"Let's go, Kiro."

((Forgot Isaac, apparently...))

Isaac brought his halberd spinning up to intercept the bow and with one hand reached into his vest. He withdrew his flintlock while the two weapons were locked together and aimed and fired center mass from point blank range.

((Eat it.))
PostPosted: Tue Jan 29, 2013 5:46 pm

The battle started to heat up as both parties went on the offensive. Mathias, who very nimbly countered Hfie’s spinning attack, was on the verge of splitting her head open. Hfie landed on the ground with her back turned to her opponent. The moment Mathias’s sword came down over her head; Hfie’s skin stone began to change at a very rapid pace. It turned to an almost red color, but only on her forearm and left hand as she brought it up behind her to catch Mathias’ blade in her grasp with a metallic clang. Her skin was hardened to iron.

“That boy will have great trouble against Hfie without aid.” Zero pointed out to his comrades.

“It is true that Hfie’s strong point is against one opponent where she can pin point a single attack and block it.” Ugene agreed.

“Her greatest weakness is speed though.” Zero mentioned. “If the attack is too fast, she won’t be able to conjure up her defense in time.”

“ But she will be fine for now. The main concern is Megan and Xin who are now at a disadvantage of four verses two.” Ugene pointed out.

“If only Sjana leapt into the battle…” Zero trailed off, referring to the woman who had yet to even move an inch.

“You of all people should know that Perfect Series don’t take orders from us. They are free to their own choices no matter what the situation.” Ugene reminded Zero.

Zero went silent.

An enemy to attack his flank surprised Xin. Hiro’s staff had caused the icy blades encompassing his arm to crack and fall apart. Xin’s other icy blade then melted down in an instant and refigured itself as a large fist around Xin’s own fist. Xin then swung his icy left at Hiro’s chest in attempt to knock him away.

Megan now appeared to be in a very tough spot. She was behind Hiro, therefore stuck in between him and the two archers as well as Issac who had parried away her attack and aimed his flint pistol. All of TJ’s bolts had hit their mark, one hitting her in the center of her chest, one in her upper thigh and another in her right shoulder. Megan grit her teeth at the pain. Issac then brought his pistol up and fired on her, hitting her right underneath where TJ had hit in her chest. Megan fell backwards on the ground where she lay still.

The giant ballista Gene had shot soared through the hair, impaling several of Nhea’s crows all together and then stabbing into her giant hawk’s neck as it attempted to dodge it but to no avail. Nhea was overcome with fury at this happening. Not only was her prized hawk killed, but also all of her venomous snakes that were slowly frozen since they could not escape to the surface. “Time for me to get serious!” Nhea announced to herself in a bout of frustration. Nhea brought a hand to her lips and whistled an odd combination of sounds. Almost immediately, three dire wolves sprinted from around the corner of brick building nearest to her. These dire wolves set their eyes on Sven. One of the three split off and dashed to where Nhea and Rhino were in attempt to aid Rhino fend off Digo. The wolf, similar to Kait’s attack on Rhino, went for the legs of Digo with its powerful fangs anticipating flesh.

Rhino brought his arms up and crossed them to block Digo’s throat gouge with his spikey forearms (similar to a porcupine). Munch of Rhino’s body seemed to mutate and morph regularly, leaving Digo probably confused as to where these pointy quills came from. Rhino was not as luck when Kait had swept in to cut up his lower legs. Her cuts were deeper than anticipated by Rhino because of his thick skin. She had cut into much of both of his thins and outer calves. Rhino stood his ground despite these injuries. Blood slowly poured from his legs as he then pushed out both his arms with great force to push away Digo. He was then going to follow up on this by charging Digo with his horns.

Several paces away lay Gear. He had been severely damaged by Phear with just one attack. Gear’s body was made up of regular organs, but entwined with gears and sophisticated body modifications. This complicated things when he becomes damaged because it makes healing up extremely difficult and almost impossible to stop bleeding until he is repaired. There was blood pouring out all around his torso and the dent in his side. The firing system inside his body that they used to launch the wave of arrows like they had previously was beyond repair. His internal gears connected to his legs were also damaged, so we could not stand up. “Curse that b*****d Phear…” Gear muttered to himself in pain.

“Gear appears to be out of commission due to Phear’s pride.” Ugene reported.

“He will likely die soon, but he does still have some uses.” Zero replied. “He still has artillery loaded and his self destruct ready on our command.” Pointed out.

“Yes, true.” Ugene agreed. “I’ll send the command on your mark.”

Gear himself knew his artillery and firing capabilities were intact. He then slowly turned over so he could aim in the desired direction. He brought up both his arms, both loaded with large ballistae similar to Gene’s that had killed Nhea’s hawk. Gear was now precisely aimed at TJ and Issac. “Firing artillery one and artillery two.” Gear stated, firing these two enormous ballistae using powerful mechanisms in his arms.

Phear was impressed by Malkin’s skill and decision-making amidst a battle, which brought a wide smile to his face. “I will be the one to slay you.” Phear roared. He then picked up his pace, matching Malkin’s impressive agility and then went on the offensive. Phear gave Malkin a flurry of swipes and slashes with both scimitars just as Malkin did previously, cuts coming from every angle. The battle between the two seemed to be very similar in contest, though each individual superior in their opponent’s opposite of strengths. Phear's strength and Malkin's speed.

Liora laughed in a very cocky manner at Matt’s reactions. “Someone is a little fired up.” She poked at Matt. “If you are already losing your cool against us then you have no chance against what’s beyond us.” Liora said as she gestured to the doors on either side of the front desk.

“We’re fine with letting two of you go. Two on two seems entertaining enough to me.” The woman with white hair said, agreeing with her intruder’s strategy. Her slightly smirk never leaving her pretty pale face.

“Yeah, we will let you two go past us no problem.” Liora added as she placed her hand on the hip, her skirt swaying slightly to the side with arrogance as she spoke. She was clearly making the confidence in their victory known.

Kiro’s visage was serious, almost angry. “Matt, let’s go.” Kiro asserted as he walked toward the door on the right. On his way towards the door he spoke over his shoulder to his companions, as well as Matt who got the left door as his destination, “Whatever you do, just don’t die. Take every advantage you can get.” Kiro then drew both of his katanas before even pushing door the open. He had to be completely ready to defend himself now. It was kill or be killed, as it was always for him.

His intention had succeeded in diverting the foe's attention from his comrades. Hiro smirked as the ice blade shattered under his staff. "Oops." he taunted and attempted to recover his weapon at the ready. Just as he had palmed his staff, Xin had already turned his attention his way. He could see the frustration and anger for the surprise attack and began his counter.

To his surprise, Xin was able to change his weapon and counter with great speed. With barely enough time to react, Hiro turned his body to the side to allow the blow to glance across his body. Trying to use staff to parry, the fist struck his staff and the force was strong enough to spin nearly out of control. With a split second decision he extended his staff causing it to whip around and strike his attacker. The attack was blind and he had no idea if it would miss or if it struck what area was hit.

The force of the blow caused Hiro to several times before falling to the ground on his stomach slightly stunned.

Mathias felt a hard shiver go up his arm when his blade impacted on to Hfie's raised hand. He heard the metallic clang of metal meeting metal, and while his eyebrows raised in silent amazment, a part of him just wasn't really surprised. From what Kiro had told them, and what he had already seen of these Axis guys, he wouldn't be surprised if this girl pulled another weapon out of her throat.
Her fingers curled and trapped his blade in her grip, and Mathias barely hesitated and punched forward with is other arm, using his shield like a great metallic fist straight at her face. He hoped she wasn't expecting that...

Drustwn nodded to Kiro's words before he and Matt made their exit. Drustwn already fought the way Kiro suggested, every time. He looked over at Will and inclined his head towards the waiting ladies,"It's proper for a man to ask a lady to dance. I had my eye on the short pretty one, if you don't mind?" he grinned and looked over at Liora, exhibiting just as much confidence as the Axis members. He had no illusions that both were dangerous, but in Drustwn's experience, those with special abilities tended to rely upon them, and held those without such augmentations at an automatic disadvantage. He'd surprised many an opponent that thought a regular human to be easy prey before.
Drustwn smiled again and ran an appraising eye over Liora,"A lovely dress, Miss. It looks just right for dancing. Give me your hand, and we'll spin until you can't stand up."
He still hadn't drawn his blades, though his hands remained poised, right inside his coat, left above his shoulder.
"Don't be rude, William. Ask your partner to dance..."

Isaac was honestly somewhat surprised that he had managed to pull off a surprise attack like that. He had been starting to believe that these... people... were all but unbeatable. Even so, Isaac was taking no chances. He pocketed the flintlock and spun his halberd in a spinning arc aimed to take the woman's head from her body. Just to be sure.

Sven saw as the group of wolves came darting around at him.
"Really?" He asked.
Sven lifted both of his hands up in the direction of the wolves and willed the cold to come. Icy spikes shot up from the ground in a line towards the two onrushing wolves. While this occurred the air around Sven began to noticeably cool and his breath blew out in a fog. The air around where the ice spikes suddenly sprang forth was suddenly extremely dry, enough that the static in the air could be felt if one were standing too near to it.

Gene saw that his tactic had worked and slung his huge crossbow over his shoulder. He kicked his bow back up into his hand and had an arrow set to the string almost the same instant he closed his grasp on it. He wasted no time sending a flurry of arrows flying through the air towards the beast taming woman.

Kait also was aware when a wolf came streaking across the battlefield towards Digo.
"I don't think so." She muttered.
She drew out a handful of throwing daggers, she was starting to run low on those, and hurled them through the air at the incoming canine. She hoped that at least one of them would catch it in the throat or the eye, enough to stop it if not outright kill it.

Digo was caught off guard by his opponents apparently fluid form. The thick quills bit and cut into his flesh, tearing through his tough reptilian skin in some places. Digo paid them no attention. There was a reason that he had adopted this particular form. Aside from its large size, it's dangerous claws and fangs, and its armor-like skin, this particular lizard could heal itself. It was slow, but his wounds would heal themselves.
Digo was also surprised when his foe shoved him away and then charged back in horns first. Digo dropped, hoping to get under the angle of those stabbing horns, and spun about, swinging his heavy tail around in an attempt to take his foes injured legs out from under him. If he could get that beast on its back he was confident that he could rip apart.

TJ still stood with Gene loading and firing crossbow bolts. She noticed that Mathias seemed to be having some difficulty with his opponent and decided to see if she could help tilt the scales. She drew out one of her special bolts, designed to break on impact and release a caustic acid-like substance onto the target. As she was taking aim she suddenly heard the sound of a heavy bow being fired, but Gene's ballista was on his back again. Then it hit her. Right in the side. and kept on flying as the heavy bolt tore right through the other side. As she spun down to one knee she heard another voice cry out in pain also.
TJ glanced down at the hole in her abdomen. Son of a b***h that hurt. But these guys obviously didn't know what they were facing. TJ scooped up some of the blood that was freely flowing from her wound and brought it to her lips. She sipped it down and the wound immediately began to close. She quickly located the source of the second voice. Isaac had dropped to the ground with a bolt planted firmly in his upper right chest.
TJ took a moment to take aim and fired her crossbow at the armored woman battling with Mathias, then quickly stepped over to Isaac.
"This is going to hurt." She said. Then sliced the crossbow bolt off with a swift swipe of her blade. Isaac grunted in pain, keeping his eyes on her face. She set the severed end of the bolt between his teeth, which he promptly clenched down on, and then began to push the remainder of the bolt the rest of the way through his shoulder. Isaac's jaw clenched tight and she could hear his muffled screaming groaning protestations around the section of bolt in his teeth.

Malkin wore a slight smirk on his face as he continued to dodge and twist away from his opponents attacks. As the foe pressed the assault Malkin was forced to bring his scimitar-staff back into play, though he did not directly block the attacks. Instead he used it to nudge and direct the attacks just barely away from himself. This way he utilized the least amount of energy possible to avoid being hit. If he was extremely lucky his opponent might begin to wear himself out and then Malkin could step in and overwhelm him while he was weakened.

Matt simply joined Kiro and the two departed from the room

"Sounds good to me." Will said. "I've never been much of a dancer, but I wouldn't want to disappoint a lady."
That said William darted in towards the white haired woman. He led with a straight thrust from his right shoulder, which he followed into a right side kick, and then continued his momentum around with a right to left upwards slash as he came back to face her again.

Xin saw the last second attack by Hiro as he dodged under it while Hiro fell backwards. It was finally Xin’s upper hand. Xin quickly materialized more water into his free hand and froze it into a jagged sword while he also morphed his icy fist into the same. He pounced on Hiro with his arms across his chest. He was going to slice both outwards from his chest horizontally as he hoped to come in contact with Hiro below him.

Hfie smiled faintly at Mathias’ response to her catching his blade with her bare hands. “First time for everything, isn’t there?” She provoked Mathias right before she was bashed in the face with his large shield. Her body tumbled over a few times before she quickly got back up. She appeared unharmed. “Oww.” She cooed quietly before smirking again at Mathias. In that moment she was caught off guard by a bolt shot by TJ across the battlefield. It stuck into her shoulder, though it did not seem to enter her skin. Hfie carefully looked at it. There was a splatter of some sort on her arm that began to bubble and burn her arm. She winced at the pain, but reenforced her skin with iron in attempt to stop it from burning too deeply into her body. Damnit. Now this guy knows I can be hurt. Hfie thought to herself. Hfie then pulled in her chain and began twirling it above her head; the sword on its end creating a high pitched whistling sound.

The animalistic army Nhea commands was widdled down quickly by her enemy’s efforts. Sven wasted no time dispatching her two wolves as they swiftly charged to sink their fangs into someone. The icy spikes shot up too quickly for the wolves to dodge. They impaled them completely with red icy points sticking out the other side of their bodies. Kait also managed to pick up on the remaining wolf before it reached its target, Digo. Her daggers landed one under its jaw and another very close to its face. The daggers did not immediately kill the wolf, but caused it to fall under its own weight and bleed out.

Nhea became enraged at the horrid sight of her pets and beasts getting slaughtered in front of her. She had one more ace up her sleep, but she was going to wait to play that card.

Rhino was charging at Digo when he noticed the oncoming arrow towards Nhea. He then stopped in his tracked and side stepped as quickly as he could to get in between the arrow the Nhea. The arrow pierced through a soft spot in between Rhino’s natural armor, lodging itself fairly deep in his flesh. Rhino winced at the pain, but was relieved to have saved Nhea from harm. This also had another draw back for Rhino, he had gained momentum against Digo, but now he was off guard and now wounded.

“Rhino!” Nhea called out quickly as he was struck by Gene’s arrow.

The duel between Malkin and Phear was a high-paced one. Both danced around, taking swipe after swipe at each other, but at the same parrying and dodging each attack they threw at each other. They seemed about equal, but Phear could read through what Malkin was up to though. He is trying to tire me out, but bad news for him, I could go on for days with my super human strength that gives me amazing endurance! Phear thought to himself. With that Phear changed up his game plan. He began slashing much much faster and putting a lot more strength into his swings at Malkin that even caused the air to push back against him slightly. Any normal man would have been shoved off his feet. The only downside from improving the brute force of his attack is that it would cause Phear’s reaction time to suffer. Phear was willing to take that risk in order to do some damage to his sparring partner.

Liora smiled at Drustwn’s words as she came around from behind the marble desk. She walked over to the far side of the room and faced Drustwn. She brought her arms up and clutched her fists together in a stance to let him know she was ready. “My name is Liora, code name LAX09. Your move.” She insisted after introducing herself.

Before WIlliam had charged, the white haired woman jumped up on top of the marble desk with her armor chipping it as she landed. She pounded her armored gauntlets together to signal she was prepared. “I am Wilhelmia, code name WAX09. Come!” Wilhelmia shouted at William.

The doors shut behind Kiro. He had entered into a long hallway that was surprisingly wide. The hallway was lined with paintings on both sides and small little marble stands that propped up sculptures. In between each set of sculptures and paintings were doors made of fine wood and golden door handles to match. It was definitely a hotel for the upper class indeed. It had been years since Kiro had been down this hallway. It changed a lot. It used to be a dim, dark hallway with just candle lit lights.

Kiro knew none of the doors on the sides were the way to go. It was at the end of the hall that led back to the experiment rooms and holding cells. Both halls taken by Kiro and Matt would both lead there, it was just a matter of the obstacles before them. Kiro sprinted forward down the hallway but then stopped in his tracks at the sight of the back door at the end of the hallway opening. The figure that came through the doorway was deathly familiar to him. His image was imprinted in Kiro’s mind after his fatal encounter with him. The large man Ajax stood in front of Kiro.

(( Old description of Ajax: The man had bright red hair that was long and straight, which partially covered his face. The man was tan, extremely well built and towered about six feet and six inches. He was wearing nothing on his chest, but he had on shoulder pads and arm and wrist guards. His lower half he wore loose black pants with black shoes. The man’s waist and saw he had an odd shaped dagger that curved all the way around towards the handle and on his other side of his waist he had a sheathed broadsword. ))

The hallway Matt entered was identical to the hall Kiro was in, but instead of greeted by a large man with red hair; it was a beautiful young woman. She had extremely long brown hair that went past her back thighs. Her eyes were sky blue with a fairly normal, kind expression. Her figure was thin, but was mostly concealed by her black and white jujitsu gi similar to Kiro’s. She wore red and black fingerless gloves and black shoes. It appeared that she was waiting for Matt because she was leaning up against a sculpture when he appeared in front of her. There was still quite the distance between the two of about twenty feet. “Hello.” She said calmly to Matt as she stood up straight and faced him from the distance between them. “I commend you to making it this far.” She praised Matt and then bowed to him.

Hiro turned over onto his back as he opened his eyes while recovering from the blow and sudden spinning. He had had barely caught his breath when he saw Xin come down upon him blades looking as if intending to decapitate him. Pulling his legs in he pushed off wish his hands vaulting his body up and back onto his feet. The blades had caught a few inches of his hair. He glanced to the side noticing several strands flutter by as he felt the top of his head.

Happy that he wasn't bleeding or balding, he grasped the staff firmly in his hand and began to attack with a series of quick jabs with the tip followed by strikes to Xin's feet intending to get him off balance. If successful he intended to come down strong with a jumping overhead strike.
