She nodded excitedly. She had it planned in her mind. First, they were going to save Melody. Then, they were going to go to the Reyvateil city and find Rhaplanca and her family. And then they would all find a way to save the world. Hikari reached her hand out, clasping onto the Teru's beside her as she smiled back up at him. "Then what are we waiting for! Let's go! We have to hurry!" She pulled him down the hallway, never feeling more hopeful for the future as she was at that very moment. She ran up the stairs still holding onto Gannon's hand and she quickly found the door where Miko and Aaron were. "You guys! Let's go save Melody! Because then after that, we've got to go find Rhaplanca! Then we have to save the world!" The way she spoke she made it sound like it would be so easy. Like those would be the easiest tasks in the world to accomplish.

The Teru stumbled over his own feet as he trudged along the barely visible path that lead to the Inn. He'd been running since escaping the night before. "Melody... Hold on... I'm coming..." Zek was gasping for air, but still pushed on until the building was within sight. From the outside, everything looked peaceful. Doesn't look like they've made it here, yet. He scanned the area quickly, checking for any signs of soldiers before making his way into the Inn.

"Melody!" The Teru burst through the door and instantly felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders. There, standing behind the counter, was Melody. She was safe. He had gotten there in time.

Gannon…

"What the crap!?" Gannon was dragged along behind Hikari from room to room, looking for the others. They finally barged into the room where Miko and Aaron were taking care of the sick Reyvateil. From the look of them, they had been discussing something serious. "How soon 'til the doc gets here? We don't have much time."

"Tessia... Alive? B-but that's... impossible..." Her brows furrowed in worry. Zek wasn't making much sense, but from the way he was shaken and frightened Melody knew there had to be something to his words. "What's Tessia? Is she in trouble? Do we need to help her?" She demanded, slightly shaking Zek to get an answer. She felt bad about doing it but she had to find out what was going on. From the way Zek sounded, it was bad, very bad. Were they going to use Tessia, Melody and Zek to lure Gannon there? She didn't know. All she could think was, Careful what you wish for. She had a sickening feeling that Gannon was going to come for her sake. The only problem was that he was going to walk straight into a trap. She shook her head. "We should hide and wait it out then! Then we need to go find Tessia and let Resonance know." She took Zek none-too-gently by the arm and dragged him to one of the secret passages leading to underground of the inn.

"She's alive... But it's not her. Something's wrong. She wants to kill us. To kill him! She has Tessia's face. Her voice... But she's crazy. They were going to kidnap you to use you as bait to kill Gannon." Zek was too shaken up to realize that Melody was dragging him into the passages under the Inn. "We have to hurry... They'll be here soon!"

"Yeah, that might be a good idea. Just wait till we can handle all this crap. Stuff's happenin' too fast, especially for that poor kid." When he asked about Ina, Mana shrugged. "I dunno. We all got our reasons fer goin' on this wild goose chase. I guess if you're really curious you could ask her, but I don't think she means any harm. In the event I'm wrong, I'm always keepin' a close eye on things around here anyways," she said with a wink to Nereus. "But what I'm wonderin' is who the hell that is?" She pointed to the dark-haired young Reyvateil who was just about hanging on Nel. Mana frowned. "Where do these people keep coming from?" She asked, rolling her eyes.

"All right." The half-ling nodded her head. "I will do what I can here and then we'll be on our way. She concentrated as much of her healing magic on the girl in hopes to stabilize her fever. She started to feel tired and worry filled her that she would have to stay behind with the girl to stop the symptoms from reappearing, but then a young girl came into the door along with a guard from the Church.



"Hello! Anyone around?" A pretty young woman looking to be in her early twenties entered into the house calling out. She was accompanied by a Church guard. "Maybe upstairs?" She said to her companion, leading the way. She came upon the room where Miko was and immediately entered upon seeing her. "Hey there. Someone needed a Dive Therapist's help?" She asked the Teru woman. "My name is Karin Viola. I was told that you were expecting me. I just received word from the Church and came as fast as I could." She knelt down beside the other Reyvateil and nodded back up at Miko. "For sure, these are FPD symptoms." She smiled up at the half-Teru. "But don't worry. She'll feel much better once I treat her. We'll be on our way now." She nodded to her companion and he lifted the sickly Reyvateil off the bed. "After I treat her she will be resting back in the Church's infirmary. Just ask about her there if you'd like to visit her, okay?"

Miko could only nod. "Thank you..." She stood and followed the Therapist and church vanguard out of the room. As they left down the stairs something caught her eye in another room. She made her way across the hall and entered into the room fully. She was greeted with a delightfully pink room. Full of stuffed animals, though it had many Pepens. She smiled and shook her head. I have a feeling that this was Hikari's room... She noticed a stuffed bunny laying on the bed. Curiosity prodded at her and she went over and inspected it. It was just a Velveteen bunny, worn from time and love no doubt, but as she touched it she was filled with visions of a tiny child holding the rabbit as if it was a lifeline. No doubt in Miko's mind. She'd found Hikari's favorite childhood toy. Unsure of what to do at first, she finally put the stuffed animal in her back pack for safekeeping. Who knew, maybe it would be of a comfort to Hikari later on. But for now, she would just hang onto it and keep it out of sight. She worried that showing anything like this to Hikari would upset her, but she made a mental note to herself to ask Aaron about it later. She backed out of the room and headed down the stairs. "Everything's okay now! You guys ready?"

"Great! We're going! Let the Almighty Rinna lead the way to the tower then!" She grabbed onto Nel's hand and dragged the unsuspecting Reyvateil with her. "This way, ladies and gents!" She marched right on ahead.
