I have this friend, Greg, who absolutly refuses to eat bananas, hot dogs, popsicles, or anything long and cylindrical because it makes him uncomfortable.

To be intellectual, huh? hmmm.... Think about this.
There are people, all of them think a certain way, doing thier own thing yet living a life of absolute content, merely because what they think is 'normal' is what the entire society thinks is normal. If anyone comes outside of that set parameter of 'normal' they are pounced upon like wounded prey.
Sent to therapy to see the problem, why these people think differently than society, they are given medicine to cut the thoughts of originality from thier brains. They don't keep that intellect of being outside of the herd, they are brought back in and branded as 'touched'.
Those who fail to convert back and become another beast in the herd are taken from thier homes and families and left to rot in a cell, the size varying on how differently the person thought.
Is this truth, or is Shoryuken just rambling? What he is really trying to say, is that he wants to know the truth.
What really separates Sanity, from Insanity? Is there an invisble line you have to cross? or is it really just all in who thinks it? Why are people punished for thinking so differently?
Why?

All depends on what you would consider sane and insane. Personally, I would quite happily get someone institutionalised if they were trying to bite my face off. I would really have conflicting morals, however, if a person was sane in the classical sense of conforming to our society's view of 'Normal', but had a different way of perceiving these things. Don't know any examples off hand at this moment, but if I think of any, i'll post 'em.
Being a pervert, however, does not cross into the realms of the insane. Therefore, we're all fine... unless some of you fine folk want to re-enact scenes from your favourite tentacle hentai videos. (Yes, I know you all love them. ) heart

I think most people's inhibitions come only from the fact that they worry about other people disapproving of their actions, when the only reason anyone would disapprove of their actions is that they worry that someone would find out that they didn't disapprove and then disapprove of that. Viscious cycle and all that good stuff.

Yeah, it's shocking how closed minded people can be these days about sex. They show it to our kids in every thing they7 see on tv, yet they don't want to talk about it!? Somethings not clicking here...

Intellectually speaking, there is no right and wrong, good or evil. It is all what we perceive. Unintelligently speaking, you forgot to take your meds.

Somethings not clicking here... It's shocking how little they teach to today's youth too. Earlier this year, it was on the internet/in the news that in Newfoundland, parents were objecting to teaching sex ed in the 6th grade. Unfortunately, I think it's necessary. Sex ed should start earlier in school, from grade 5 or 6. If you have 11 and 12 year olds having sex and getting pregnant, time to upgrade what we're teaching the kids. And not just that abstinence-only crap either.
