From the Desk of the Editor

Hope this makes sence. It's 1. which order the segments will be in. 2. What the segments are they're names. 3. If they are permanent (as in I will not change it much for you xD ) or very flexible, as in it might become something entierly different.

1.Special Announcements <- Guild announcements etc.
Yah Im not gonna name it anything special..
PERMANENT

2.MemberSpotlight (Chocolate Frog) <- the mods decide, a person + person interview. PERMANENT

3.Creatures magic and not so.

4.Hp around the webs...(Viral HP) merch/blogs/vids, or other things HP related worth checking out.

5.Interview...(Quick-Quotes Quill) <- an interview with a rando character =D (could be anyone..) semi-PERMANENT (I'll see how popular it gets or if anyone is super intrested with it.

6.Elf Section (Pointy ) (gossip) what is happening around Hogwarts. (elfs can do this, it's basicly the old whats fun /around hogwarts and just gossip mashed together..
Write what happens in hoggie hogwarts, spy on some RP:er and dish out some gossip (cuz ppl love that lol ) PERMANENT (but flexible)

7.Magic around the world and ages. <- Do you believe in magic? a big part of this will probably be around wicca stuff.. dunno wha to call it

8.Bdays<-..just what it is..bdays.. we can throw in a horoscope for that month/sign if needed. PERMANENET

9.Comic/Jokes (Che-e-e-ro)<- If we don't have a good artist, I will just whip out some awesome stickfigures...This can be replaced or shared with a reacuring novell.

About the Hogwarts Monthly:

The Hogwarts Monthly was created many years ago as the guild's official newsletter. Over the years, the writers, editors, and ideas of the Hogwarts Monthly have changed, representing the progress and growth of Harry Potter Guild of Gaia since 2005. After a long hiatus, the Hogwarts Monthly began running again in 2009. Without the readers and writers that burst with ideas, the Hogwarts Monthly would never exist. Each issue is intended for the entertainment of the members of HPGoG, and is therefore sustained by the members of HPGoG.

All normal issues of the Hogwarts Monthly will be posted by the HogwartsMonthlyEditor in the Hogwarts Monthly thread.
Please note that the HogwartsMonthlyEditor is an official guild mule. It is used only by the current editor and Heads of House when necessary.
All submissions are original works of the members of Harry Potter Guild of Gaia, so please do not copy anyone else's work. That is plagarism. Any references to particular people have been approved by said person. In other cases, no harm was intended because the Hogwarts Monthly is strictly PG-rated. All concerns can be addressed to the Editor, a moderator, or Professor Adonis.

The Current Guidelines for each Monthly:
(for those who want to read it, the text is in white)

1. The Headline should always be the first post of the Monthly. The Current Staff should always be listed in the last post of the Monthly, along with Acknowledgments for Special Contributors.

2. Each article should have the contributors' names posted in the article at the top or in the bottom right corner of the article.

3. Must always have a Special Announcements Section (to include other guild announcements) and a Note From the Editor Section (that section can be anything the Editor wants, even nothing).

4. The monthly need only be about 12 posts/pages. It can be less, but try not to make it more so that it always fits on the first page.

5. Member(s) of the month are chosen by the Mod Squad. Only exceptions should be announced by Professor Adonis AHEAD of time.

6. The Hogwarts Monthly is posted at the BEGINNING (not the end) of every month. It should be published the first day of every month, if more time is needed please make sure the Mod Squad knows. Otherwise it's not a good look.

7. Only the Editor (or a moderator) can add points to the Hour Glasses for Monthly submissions.

Only a Moderator can edit this post. Guidelines should only be added as necessary.

I would like to write a column called Ask the Elf.

As im still currently an elf i think it would be appropiate, and if one day i am sorted then another elf could be my successor, i think that this way the newbies could be even more involved then they already are, so that we feel more influential.

Thanks Lana

Well, (now this is just something I made up completely.. I don't know if there's already a column for this sweatdrop ) how about a column for whatever is going on around the roleplaying forum. For example, right now there is the Hogwarts Express taking peeps to Hogwarts for the winter term, etc. etc. etc.
I'd (happily) do it & when everyone reads the column, people will be updated on the what heck is going on "Around Hogwarts".

Hm, I suppose I could try this again.

May I propose an interview section?
The section would be interviewing various HPGoG members on various subjects, like the event, the returning school year, rumors about upcoming events, etc.

Each of you have wonderful ideas!!!

Lana: I don't expect you to be an elf for much longer, but I think you could still write that column (if you wouldn't mind). It would be an entertaining bit each month to see what your responses are. Basically you won't be an elf, but I'll still let you write that column using your elf character. Geesh am I confusing?

Fred: Would you be interested in writing a column for each Monthly about stuff that's going on in the guild (in general) not just the roleplay subforum?

Cocosam: That would be interesting as well! As long as it's more than one person =)

There will also be a column about the Witch/Wizard of the month (written by one of the mods probably)

Lyra will probably still do the Birthday column.

Now we need someone to write the articles!

Exactly what do you mean when you say you want someone to write the articles? Like what would they exactly need to do?
