Welcome to Gaia's Religious Tolerance Guild.
This guild is a safe, friendly alternative to the Morality and Religion forum. Here, no subject is taboo, and no opinion will get you flamed. We are Gaians sick of the mainstream attitude and wanting to freely express ourselves without ridicule.
We define religious tolerance as extending religious freedom to people of all religious traditions, even though you may disagree with their beliefs and/or practices.
Religious freedom means believeing and worshiping without oppression. This includes the right to change your beliefs or religion, and to associate with others to express your beliefs.
Religious tolerance does not require you to accept all religious as true. It simply requires acceptance of those who hold opposing beliefs.
Our Goals:
Promote religious tolerance and freedom both on Gaia and in everyday lives.
Provide Gaians a place to openly share and discuss their varied beliefs.
Debate controversial subjects without being flamed or ridiculed.
Provide information to those wanting to explore other belief systems than their own.
All are welcome here. We ask you please abide our few simple rules:
Respect one another.
No proselytizing, or trying to convert people.
Do not make hateful threads for the sake of upsetting members of the guild. (No trolling.)
Keep your topics about religion, tolerance, and morality.
Spamming is allowed, but only in the Non-Religious Chat sub-forum.
Please post to the best of your spelling and grammar abilities.
