RULES
F O L L O W - T H I S ! ! !
In order of keeping the game in a constant flow, we present you the rules that all the players must know, to help to keep the order in here. We hope to not have to apply many rules, so lets use the common sense, okay?
BEHAVIOR
Chao are like small children. So, we must give a good example, and show to the Chao how to behave properly in a social area:
{?} Once the shop is started, check to see if there is any Chao Licence available. If there isn't, DON'T POST OR PM ASKING FOR ONE. If you want one, keep looking at us.
{?} Don't offend anyone or anything here. You have a problem, take it to a place where you (and whatever is involved) can solve this without irritating anyone that haven't anything to do with it. Any problem related to the game, PM me.
ROLEPLAY
Of course, we not only allow the players to roleplay their relations with the Chao; we want they to. So, in order to make things right, I will present all the rules of the house.
Basics
In Chao Gardens, you roleplay your Chao and yourself. Your normal self. The adventures here are lived by the Chao, and only by the Chao. Any powers that a owner possess will become inactive, as if they never existed here, except for harmless and useless ones (like fly and talk to plants and stuff). But we
strongly recommend that you roleplay yourself as a normal person.
Etiquette
In order to roleplay properly, we suggest that you all use this rules, to padronize the roleplay in this game.
- We suggest a few symbols to show how you are using your words. If you simply write, it is considered as your spoken words; Between **, it is considered an action; Between <>, it is considered as a Chao speaking; and if you write between (), it is considered as words
out of character (OOC).
- Don't post actions for characters that you don't own. If you intend to do something to another character, post that you intend to do some action on it/him/her, and WAIT for the reaction of the character itself.
- As well, don't do God-moding. No one here is invincible. Period.
Comunication
Normally, a Chao does not speak. They make funny noises and express their feelings with their Chao Things and many gestures. But while we can't understand what they say, the Chao understand what we say clearly. So comunication is not impossible, just different.
Between two or more Chao, the dialogue occurs normally - they speak with each other. All things a Chao says is written between <those> symbols. They always have a pretty simple childish mentality, and are true to their feelings. Wild Chao, like Mii-Chan, also speak normally with another Chao.
Roleplay Areas
For now, this topic is the only area we have available for roleplay. Each area have their own specific rules.
{?} Main Topic - This one. Here is the main hall of entrance to what we call "The Chao World" - a huge biodome full of nature. You are free to roleplay, dialogue or write anything you want. Free baby owners can roleplay in here freely as well.
{?} Gardens (Roleplay Zone) - Those are the main gardens of the Chao World - they are acessible only in the Chao World Guild, in a specific sub-forum. In there, only Licenced Owners and Chao are allowed and play. Visitors are only allowed to watch.
{?} Special Events - There are events that will happen in a temporary topic - such as auctions, raffles and celebrations - or a different place - like the gaming zone, in the guild. They will have a particular story and scenario. Everybody is welcome to join, as long as you obey the rules of the event. And while the main event may be only used by a few, anyone is free to roleplay in those places. According to the case, visitors can even take the opportunity to join the fun, or even the game.
DICE ROLL
There will be dice rolls to solve problems and contests. Let's explain how the dice roll for Chao Gardens works - the Evolution Dice System.
How the eDs works
The Evolution Dice System - eDs from now on - works using all dices available in Gaia. They are used to measure the Chao evolution strenght and personal strenght. When a chao needs to test its atribute, you just roll the dices corresponding to that atribute.
-
Evolution Strenght: In the Chao Encyclopedia, you can see the list of all Chao races. Each race have a specific dice for each atribute. A flying chao, for example, have a high dice to play as his Fly atribute, but a low dice to play as his Swin atribute.
-
Personal Strenght: In the licence, there is a corner with many colored dots. Those are the Atribute grade, where the personal strenght of a chao is counted. Each dot in a respective color represents a dice it plays for the corresponding atribute.
EXAMPLE: A hero flying chao starts a race with a dark racing chao. Hero have a d10 to play as his fly, while Dark has a d6. As the hero have 3 purple dots, he rolls 3d10. But Dark have five purple dots in his licence, so he rolls 5d6, making it a fair game for both.
THE BLACK LIST
I really hope to never have a use for this, but anyone caught breaking those rules in a way that troubles anyone or this shop actions, will be added here. Just don't be a jerk, and you are okay...
