This is the first big Event to be remembered. Funny enough it was not even hosted by the Admins., but by the User Misao. As a surprise, the Admins gave out these two Event Items to those who attended:

Red Rose Corsage (Was given to users with Female Avatars.)
A single red rose garnished with baby's breadth. No dress would be complete without a corsage. Wear one of these to any formal event, like say, a ball for example. ^_-
Black Bow Tie (Was given to users with Male Avatars.)
A perfect accessory for any formal event.


At this Event, there was no Special Forum, nor did any NPCs show up.
The users could randomly find a floating Egg, which contained a choose between these Items:
Bunny Slippers
Incredibly soft slippers for casual wear. They are fashioned in the shape of cute little rabbits.
Chicky Slippers
Feathery soft slippers shaped like adorable baby chicks. High end loafware.


This was the third event on Gaia. You were to collect candies from the shop owners. Your candy popped up on a bar at your Profile Page.
After you collected a certain amount of candy you could get a visit from Jack and he would give you a Grab Bag containing a Halloween item.
There was an entire forum just for this event, which is now placed in the Memorable Threads Forum.

During this Event Rina opened a charity. It was called The Barton Charity, and was located at the Barton Fountain, where the Admins had placed a Christmas tree.
If you donated 500g+ worth of Items or Gold, you would be given a pair of Jolly Slippers.
Due to someone saying he/she had received a pair of Fairy Wings, alot of people donated all the Gold they had.
A few days after the Charity closed, everyone received a Gift from Santa, which contained a Jolly Hat.

The Barton Town and Isle De Gambino Maps, which were the only ones existing at that time, got thier Maps changed.
Also, this was the first time ever where the Maps had snow.

This was the event where we met our beloved Johnny K. Gambino and his son Gino. Also we got to see some of our favorite NPCs such as Ian, Sasha, and Ruby in avatar form. This event was also the first event that we finally got to see inside the Gambino Mansion. As soon as Gambino arrived he started giving out gifts. This was the first event where the NPCs had speech bubbles in the Gaia Header. A few days after the event, everyone who attended got a 'Thanks for Attending'-photo. Some of the items passed out at this event were The Noise Maka, Paper Party Hat, the Gaia T-shirts (Small, Medium, and Extra Large), and the G-pin.


This time, the Annual Ball was run by a team of users. The head of the team was the User Setzer.
This year the Admins did not only give the Event it's own Forum, but also they had Gino appear for the first time outside of the Gambino Mansion!
Gino appeared at random in the header, where he gave out G-Pins, even though he said he wasn't supposed to.

A gold pin with the letter G emblazened on it. Why are these pins being given out at the 2nd Annual GAIA Ball? Could Gambino himself have something to do with this? O_O;


This was the second Easter event. You had to collect 8 bunny shaped eggs, then the Easter Bunny and his helper (actually a costumed Ian and Rufus) would hide an Easter Basket on one of the maps. The Easter Baskets contained a choice between two items:
Bunny Hat
Of all the symbols of Easter, none is more beloved than the Easter Bunny. A messenger of a season when all things are possible and all things can again be new.
Chicky Hat
If you are feeling CHEEP this easter, a cute chicky hat is just what you need ^__^

The Easter Bunny gave you a Hint on where the basket he hid was.

Before April 1st 2k4, there was this rumor at the ball of a new event item called the Blue Giftbox. So many funny edits were made about it, and other gifts like the "Flying Rock" or the "Flying Pig".

But on April 1st 2k4, when you logged on you were automatically given a Blue Giftbox. These floated around your screen and kept following you if you didn't open it (even when going to another page). Once you did open it you would be given a Soot Faced Avatar, and a picture saying "YOU GOT SERVED!" (Or YGS for short) would pop up.

This Soot Face would not come off either, so you had to stay like that for the entire day until midnight.

The other avatar you could have gotten was the Invisibob. To get it you had to delete your avatar and then click on the Blue Box. This way you became an Invisibob, which were a Glitched Avatar.

The last thing I remember was on certain pages your gold count went way high! Like, 19028301748927349827349 or some ridiculous number. It was great and pretty sad when you got this "event" in the stores. I got mine in the hat store. Of course it would go away after clicking to the next page and it wasn't spendable but you got that event all over the site and not just in stores.


This was the first Gaian Olympics, and was hosted by Gambino. The racers were Moira, Ian, Sasha, Gino, Leon, and Edmund (Two racers for each town that existed at the time.). The racers were to run from Isle de Gambino, to Durem, and back. There was a great plot in this event considering everything else was very, very uneventful. There was cheating and a lot of other twists. Ian would stop racing from time to time to check out stores for bargins. Sasha got lost from time to time, and wound up taking the wrong path. Edmund stopped to flirt with a woman, and even quit the race to head to the closed down Personals building to have some private time with Vanessa! Johnny convinced Gino to cheat to uphold the pride of the Gambino family, so he took a hidden shortcut at the Durem Reclamation Facility on the way back. At the end. Moira finished first, second was Sasha, third was Ian, fourth was Leon, and in last places was Gino... Edmund was disqualified for leaving the race. Also, at this event two shirts were passed out:

Short time before Halloween, at November 18th, Johnny K. Gambino established a Guild named G CORP.
G CORP was a mysterious organization which were Gaia's largest manufacturer of biological medicines and advanced technology. It was placed in a Secret Underground Test Facility, under the Gambino Mansion.
In G CORP, 12 LabTechs were working on a secret project, that only a few of them actually knew what was.
The LabTech who knew the most was Labtech247, who were one of the head-researchers. He was trying to develope a cellular regeneration or anti-aging formula, which he after a short time tested on LabTech722.
Because he thought the Virus was working acording to his plan, he also injected the other LabTechs with it.
This Virus would later be known as the Earliest Sample of the G-Virus.
After some time LabTech247 realized that something was terribly wrong. LabTech101's hands had began to lose it's skin by then, but he thought it was due to the many container he had been moving earlier. When moving some of these containers he accidently tripped and the container broke. Apparently it contained some Vials with an Unknown Green Liquid within.
Also the Green Rabbit, which LabTech101 had named Grunny, had been dead. LabTech247 thought he had burned it's budy, but somehow Grunny managed to survive, most likely due to the G-Virus.
By now the mysterious LabTechX had started to sell Vials of Unknown Liquid at the Marketplace for 100g each. LabTech912 bought one thinking it was a combo perfume & lotion, that would make her skin perfect, forever.
Also, a very confused LabTech123 suddenly started to Spam the Guild for a while, but the posts later got deleted.
At the Gambino Mansion LabTech062 held a Retirement Party. This was where it all went wrong.
After having partied for a while, a Zombified LabTech013 suddenly started to bite the other LabTechs, turning them into Zombies too. At the end all the LabTechs which were at the party got Zombified.
Gambino escaped the room and locked the doors, but the Zombies broke through it, and started to attack the Guests at the Party.

The Event was hosted by Johnny K. Gambino.
All through the event an alarm would keep going off, and Gambino would say nothing was wrong.
Then one of the workers in the Secret Underground Test Facility, who had recently died, came back to life as a zombie and started to infect all of the other lab workers, except for two. Gambino sealed the basement, but the zombies got through and started infecting the other Gaians. Somehow, Gambino and Gino escaped from becoming zombies.
In this event you were allowed to shoot zombies with shotguns, which Gambino handed out, and zombies were allowed to bite humans.
But if you were turned into a zombie, you could turn back into a human by drinking the contents of these Vials of Unknown Liquid.

There were certain items you could get for biting humans, or shooting zombies. As zombies, for biting humans you could get these two items:

Human G CORP Tshirt (Bit 50 Humans.)

A labcoat commonly worn by lab technicians. The G CORP logo is emblazened on the breast pocket.

If you were a human, and you shot a certain amount of zombies, you got these items:

...

G-CORP also put out a Security Advisory System. You also had Personal Statistics.

Infection Level - Normal
This was your icon if you were still human.
Infection Level - Zombified
This was your icon if you were a zombie.

During the mayhem of the moment, Bucho, Gambino's head of security, warned Gambino that the Silent Flash Protocol (?) had been activated, due to the infection level which had reach "Critical". Silent Flash was a missle which were headed towards the mansion. The Missile blew up the building, and everyone inside, killing the Zombies. Johnny K Gambino was thrown from the Mansion, but his son Gino was not so lucky. Gino was nowhere to be found... He was missing.

Soon after the explosion, Gaia 9 Action News was Reporting for the first time, with Cindy Donovinh as the reporter. The Mansion Building Icon also changed, due to the explotion which appeared at the Map.

Okay, also what happened at this event, was jack returned (pictured above). The NPC's dressed up, and you could go Trick or Treating, and you would get a candy every 15 minutes.Once you got 3 candies you had to find Jack's Sprite on the map.

Grab Bag
Given to you by Jack.

If you didn't have the needed amount of candy, Jack wouldn't give you anything. You could only get candy from the NPCs thought at night or at dusk but not during the day because Jack disappeared and so did all of the Halloween spirit. This was a very exciting event I think this was the most interesting so far in the history of Gaia.

This was the second Christmas event. In this event Gambino would enter, in his journal, about his quest to find Gino, since after the Halloween event, Gino went missing in the explosion. Finally, at the end of the journal, Gambino found Gino. But with one problem: Gino had no memory of who his father was. When Gambino found Gino, a Sprite appeared at the Map.
Cindy also Reported this event.
In this event you could go caroling at the shops.

To carol you had to click the "Sing X-mas Carol"-button.
When you had enouph carols you got a Gift Box like these:

Also, at this event everyone was pleased that a new feature was released. Kissing! All of the users were allowed to kiss someone every couple of minutes.
The left side of the picture, at the top of this section, is what it looked like when you got kissed. And the right side of the picture, shows what it looked like when you were allowed to kiss someone.
This went on from Christmas 'till New Years. There even were a backdrop special designerd to when you kissed someone, and also a little Icon which told you that you were able to kiss someone.

This was also a very exciting event. We were introduced to the Von Helson Sisters. We were also introduced to Edmund and Cindy Donovinh in avatar form. And there even was a new Shopkeeper NPC introduced! The shopkeeper Liam, from the newly added town: Aekea. We were all invited to the VH Sisters Mansion.
The Von Helson Sisters even got thier own Forum Icon. Also in this event everyone got a Balloon, a Party Hat and both sides of a V-Pin. Some people got a G-Pin from Gambino too.
Soon Gambino started to cause havoc, and started to tell people to chant his name, and wear the G-pins. But then the Von Helson Sisters kidnapped Gino. But after agreeing never to show himself in Durem again, the Von Helson Sisters gave back Gino to Gambino.


The team this year, was headed by Razumi Yazura.
This year the Admins didn't just give them a normal Forum. No, they were given a Forum in the Von Helson Mansion!
But that was the only special thing about this Event. No Event Items were given out, no NPCs were showing up, and there was no continue on the Gaia Storyline.


During the month of March, all of the destruction of Gambino's previous mansion was gone, and Gambino popped up on the screen, asking for donations.
When you click on him a Overlay with Gambino would appear.
Also a Bar popped up at the map, and at the other end of the bar was a mansion. Soon the bar was filled, and a Second half of the bar popped up with a question mark at the end. About every 12 hours there was an update on the large building. Soon after the Tower of Gambino was finished, Gambino locked himself in his mansion and a Channel 9 Action News helicopter popped up.
Also soon after the tower was finished, the Von Helson Sisters popped up in Durem, passing out anti-Gambino signs:

When you clicked on them an Overlay would appear.
Not long after the signs were being passed out, Gambino popped up, at the top of his Tower.

This event was not as exciting as the last couple of events. Although the NPCs did not fight as much or anything like that, but we were introduced to the Easter Bunny.

Just like the year before, you collected eggs that appeared Next to posts.
You had to collect 8 eggs, which showed up on a bar in your Profile.
When you got an Egg an Icon would appear next to your Avatar. Then you went to the Easter Bunny, and he hid a basket on one of the Maps of Gaia.

When you found the Easter basket, the Easter Bunny would appear in a Speechbubble next to your Avatar. You could choose between Two Items when you opened the basket. The Easter Bunny also had his own Overlay.


This was a VERY shocking event! Gambino went mad with power, which caused Gino to regain his memory. As father and son were about to hug, Gambino got shot and fell off of his tower, and into the ocean. At the same time, Gambino's tower fell onto the Von Helson Sisters Mansion, supposedly crushing them. Nobody knew what happened to Gino. Everyone thought the worst, but no one knew.

Soon after this happened, a shocked Cindy Donovinh came with a new report.
After the comic showed up some of the maps were filled with smoke.

Not long after the tower fell, the smoke cleared, and Gambino's old Mansion was sitting where it used to be long ago, and where the Von Helson Mansion used to be, a new Gambino Masion lay on top of it. The Gambino family, and the Von Helson sisters were all missing and presumed dead.

Okay, this Update lasted for three and a half hours, but it was great! Well, what happened was VO made and announcement saying that there would be a plot update, and the GCD got flooded in three minutes.
Anyhow, at 7PM PST, Ian and Sasha appeared on the map of Isle De Gambino.They were clickable, and when you clicked them, a Manga showed up, similar to the last.

In the Storyline, Ian and Sasha was at the Gambino Waterfront collecting seashells. Suddenly Sasha found Gino laying at the shore. She and Ian took him to her house to take care of him.
In Aekea, Liam was flirting with several female NPCs via phone. Also Logan, Leon, and Edmund, were sitting in the Aekea Pub talking about Gino.
Back at Sasha's house, Ian walked into the bedroom where Gino was sleeping. He had a knife in his hand, as he looked at Gino...

This new Plot Update happened at the time about 9pm-12am PST. Gino's Sprite popped up at Isle de Gambino in front of the Gambino mansion. When you clicked on him, the next part of the Storyline would be shown.
The story continues where the last one ended.

Ian used the knife to... cut bread into pieces. He was helping Sasha make Lunch for Gino.
Doctor 123 (LabTech123) was also there, examining at Gino.
The next morning, Bucho came to take Gino home. Sasha gave Gino, Gambino's pocketwatch which she also had found.
At the Barton Pub, Ian, Sasha, Moira, Laim, and Vanessa were eating and talking.
When Ian got back to Sasha's house, he found some pills, and shouted; "I've got you now Gino!"
This is where the plot cuts off for now.

Without anyone expecting, Lanzer posted an Announcement which stated that all Glitched Avatars would be re-saved.
It was a process which would take time, but it would happen. Many users were sad, and even more were angry at the Admins for doing this to them.
But, as with every other system, Glitches aren't a good thing, and had to be fixed.
All the users who had kept themself from saving their Avatars for years, just to keep their Invisibobs or Zombies, were now forced to get themselves a normal Avatar.


This was a big Event. Gino hosted it in the Gambino Mansion, in memory of his father.
HereGino rebuilt the Underground Testing Facility, and rehired Doctor123 to be the lead LabTech, who should be heading the research. Sasha was happy, but as the matter of fact, Ian didn't trust Gino. He tried to show her the pills he found in Gino's room, but he couldn't find them.
LabTech123 succeeded in his research, and recreated the G-Virus by using the DNA from Grunny. But in his moment of success LabTechX (or Bucho?) set free all the Grunnies, and they started to attack the guests in the Mansion.

At this point of time, you could post in the Forum to obtain Grunnies, which would give you Items, and later transform you.

Also, there were special backgrounds behind your avatar in the Event Forums.
The backgrounds changes for each Stage you were in. (Stage: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
Sadly, only a few people actually used this Event to party. Almost every single Thread was Bumping Threads, made to get Grunnies faster. People started to go into the thread when they were lower than the required level and many people got banned from many threads. The Admins. were very upset with us users.

6 hours before the Event was planned to stop, the Mansion suddenly caught on fire. As seen here. Since there was an image glitch the burning building did not show up on the maps until around 12pst. At that moment Sasha and Gino was eating Dinner. When they realized the Mansion was on fire, they tried to get out. But suddenly the roof fell down. Gino grabbed the burning roof before it hit Sasha, and told her to get out. But Sasha was too shocked to move by herself. Luckily for her, Ian came and got her out. Right after they escaped, the Mansion collapsed, and there was no sign of Gino anywhere.
Later the same night, a mysterious man walk into what was once the Gambino Mansion, and found the Vial, which contained the G-Virus. People have named this mysterious man "Curlytoez"

Actually, the Event ended 6 hours too early because the Admins said the Servers couldn't handle both the Grunny Invasion and the Trick-or-Treating.
Sadly for the Admins, the Graphics Server went down a little before the Trick-or-Treat was about to start, so it was set to another date instead. This event was not as exciting as last year but this was expected since the Admins were really busy with the release of Towns and all.


Trick or Treating was very different this year since there were a few more stores. This year while in costume, we had to collect 10 candies which we could get in intervals of 3 minutes. There were 9 items and they were called Jack Uniform set, when you got all the candies you got a Grab Bag in your inventory.

When you had your candies and you clicked on Jack a New Overlay came up instead of his avatar at the top of the screen. This was very exciting this year because we could trick-or-treat in Towns! The houses were decorated, and a pumpkin headed box was placed infront of the house. (1, 2]) You had to collect 100 candies from the boxes from infront of peoples houses. Trick-or-treating in towns did not take long since there was no limit to how many candies you could get in 1 minute. Once you collected 100, you had to go to the center of the town and click Jack and he would give you an item. During the Trick-or-Treat, Jack forgot how to count several times, and ended up only giving out way too many Pants.
All the NPC store owners were dressed up in the new Refurbished Sheets that came out. Jack again was on the map with the same sprite.
We finally got to see Aekea decorated for Halloween.



After not reporting anything for a long time, Cindy finally found an Event that was important enough to Report. The reclusive billionaire, Santa Claus, made his first public apparance ever, in Barton Town, in front of the Fountain. The reason he chose to do so, was to complain about and to excuse the Gaians for their actions during the Halloween 2K5. He meant that it was only one "person's" fault: The Halloween Spirit himself, Jack.
What Santa didn't expect was that Jack would eventually come and participate in the "interview".
Santa was shocked about Jack's sudden appearence. What made everything worse, was the fact that Jack was now angry at Santa. The now very scared Santa dared Jack to hit him... And so he did!
Santa ended up crahing into, and destroying, the LinkList Building.
At this point of time, he was starting to get weaker.
He thought back at his past. On how the Easter Bunny and his freinds had started to hit him, ans make fun of him. Back then Jack came and helped him by hitting the Easter Bunny right in the face.
After this Flashback we find Santa laying at the Clinic, slowly dying...

This must surely be one of the most sad Events in a long time. Not only did Jack (almost?) kill Santa, but we also found out that they were actually friends. And to make it all worse, at least for some people, the LinkList had also been destroyed.

The Christmas Event started out early this year. Already at the 14th of November something happened. In the GGN a new Guild, run by Mrs. Claus, suddenly appeared. It was the Guild for S CORP. Just like the G CORP Guild from the Halloween Bash in 2k4, the ElfTechs had to write journals. Apparently Santa Claus survived the attack from Jack, and held a speech for the ElfTechs.
The ElfTechs all got re-assigned to get one step up in the production. Due to a malfunction in the crane mechanism at the shipping yards, one of the big crates fell to the ground. Inside it was a claw. A day after, or so, yet another crane accident happened at the shipping yards. This time the crate contained a watergun.
Amazing how many accidents that happens at the shipping yards. The crates contained some "Dinanthropoides Nivalis", also called Yetis, in the 3rd accident. Not long time after, ElfTech247 posted two strange, encoded messages in his journal. The next day, he also reported that he was requesting that the cameras be removed.
ElfTech137 posted about the R&D's top secret project. After some modifications done on the claw and the Super Drencher 5000, they were to be used with the Yetis, hopefully to provide the missing link in the research of a mysterious substance in the Vial, which was found after Halloween 2k5.
After some days without anymore accidents, an alarm suddenly went of in Sublevel F. The ElfTechs started to panic, and two of them were seen in GAIA Towns. Mrs. Claus took action fast, and told the EflTechs not to enter Sublevel F, by any means.
ElfTech123 told that he had heard rumor that security guards Bob and Jim were killed, and ElfTech101 says it was a Giant Yeti which did it.
After Mrs. Claus apparently got it all under control, Santa Claus gave yet another speech. ElfTech722, whom Mrs. Claus alittle earlier had punished for being lazy, had contacted several users to make them start petitions to help him. Unfortunately, only two made it past 130 signatures, which were made by Professor-Marina and The Sezza.
After getting the signatures, ElfTech722 made a genius plan to trick Mrs. Claus. The plan worked, but Mrs. Claus re-assigned him to a top secret project. Right after that, she disabled his PM Box.
A short time after that, the S CORP security system started to block the ElfTech's Work Journals, one by one. No one knows what has happened to the ElfTechs, but there's a chance that ElfTech722 could have survived.


A short time after, the facility turned on it's self-destruction mechanism. It was destroyed, and no one knows what has happened to the ElfTechs.
A little while later back in front of the Barton Town Fountain, Cindy Donovinh said that Jack would make an announcement about the Halloween Bash 2k6. But before he got that far, Santa Claus Came To Town.
He had bacome fused with his GTMS (Gift Transport Mech Suit), and had mutated into an unstoppable force, who sought revenge against Jack.
A battle started, and during the scene a G-Team, which were made of Edmund, Logan and Leon, showed up just to get defeated few moments later.
Jack and Santa almost killed Sasha, but a mysterious character, called Ginoman by Users, appeared and saved her.
After both Jack and Santa was defeated by Ginoman, they decided to help eachother instead of figthing.

Cindy Donovinh was once again at the Barton Fountain to interview someone. This time with the person known by users as "Ginoman".
Here it she revealed that his real Hero-name: The Masque.
The Masque revealed what the first thing he would do as a Superhero would to kiss the one he loved, Sasha, on New Year's at the Gambino Mansion in Durem.
Both Sasha and Ian were very surprised.

This year Gino gambino was hosting the Anniversary Ball in the Durem Gambino Mansion. Not much happened except from Gino, Old Man Logan, Edmund and Leon were randomly talking to you or giving you Items.
Gino confirmed that both Johnny K. Gambino and LabTech123 were dead, and also that he were The Masque.
Also he told us not to ask him where he had been for the last year, since he wouldn't be able to tell us.
A thing many peoples found odd, was the fact that Gino couldn't remember who the Von Helsons were.
During the Event the Avatar Server suddenly got unstable, and started swithing out everyones Avatars, including the NPC's.
Gino ended up being a girl, Edmund a TV-headed guy with a CoCo, and Logan a n00b without legs.
There were no Comic for this Event but the Admins made a special Background for the Forums. 3nodding
