Pirate
Plunder, Pillaging & Battle
A pirate is the most blood thirsty of the occupations you can take up. They are eager for treasure and can likely be bribed for much of anything. Although sailors can battle other ships, pirates long for these battles and hope to take over many towns and opposing ships.
Sailor
Adventure, Exploration & Duty
A sailor is just as likely to run into battle, but more likely to fight fairly and merely take what is needed on their own ship. Their main love is the ocean and everything about it makes them wild. They wish to explore every inch and map whatever they come across. A sailor is also able to sail under the flags of their country as a Navy officer or some other important figure. Some sailors who end up with too much of a love of treasure can easily end up being pirates.
Merchant
Land Lover, Hydrophobic
The merchants are those who for whatever reason, never took to the water. They stay in port and serve the sailors and pirates when they return. They can raise families, work on their shops or simply meander the towns. If they become persuaded by a sailor or pirate, they may eventually take to the sea. Merchants are able to own a small-medium sized ship in order to trade goods with other islands/continents. They are, however, an object of interest to pirates.
Military
Courageous, Bold & Intelligent
The Military can have many different branches, but typically, they are formed by an important figure on any particular homeland. They likely come from very rich lands that are attempting to protect themselves from theiving pirates. Often they send some of their finest officials to hunt the pirates and return with bodies of proof. They can set sail or remain on land, depending on the wishes of their officers.
Sea Folk
Water-lover, Playful, Artistic
The Sea Folk are a rare class given to the mythological races that live within the sea. The mermaids and selkies are two of those. These races are seen only by whom the mermaids and selkie desire (which is often weak hearted men aboard pirate and sailor ships). Often times they are craftsmen and engage in trading with the humans in order to keep peace between them.
Nobility
Classy, Arrogant & Powerful
The nobility are a special class as they are very powerful. They are typically the richest and the only class that can hire military in order to protect themselves or their belongings. There are many different noble families around the world and usually they remain on their home continent. Some younger nobility choose to travel the world to get a taste for what they are ruling.
