[Wolves of the Sea]
Today is a bright day, like no other. Clouds hover in the sky mysteriously and a cool wind wafts through the air, as the suns rays slowly transcend to warm the earth. The sun shifts in and out of visibility, but you aren?t cold, but at peace. Forest glades surround you and in front of you a waterfall cascades gently into an ocean inlet. Looking far outward you can see the cove and the soft beach, warm sand welcoming you to join it. You can?t say what has brought you here, but some mysterious calling has drug you from the road and plopped you down in this mysterious scene. Far away Killer Whales are breaking the water surface in whatever way possible. Slapping their tails upon the water, jumping into the air, and whatever other ruckus they can invent.
Finding yourself at peace you continue to walk onwards, clamoring over rocks and moss to reach the welcoming beach below. As you approach you realize there is a woman standing there obviously giving directions to a few lost tourists. She has long golden blond hair that reaches near to her waist, and up in a pony tail, though a few strands seemed to have escaped and are shifting with the ocean winds. She is clad in a t-shirt with the imprint of an Orca and what almost seems to be running shorts. Around her neck is a Native American carving and a small blue whistle. She looks up as you approach and smiles, obviously having experienced many people as lost as you in these parts.
"Hi, Welcome to Wolves of the Sea, a world of underwater creatures simply a plane flight away in Alaska! Here you will find many sea creatures, both large and small and have the chance to become the adoptive protector of these magnificent creatures. Interested? Please see Twiddle for the directory, she lives on the Cliffside near the rubbing rocks. Its 3245 Breaching Ln. It shouldn?t be too hard to find. We have a sister protectorate located in Florida for the manatees, but here we specialize in Orcas. There are tons of events and trips, Twiddle will let you know about everything! I?m Kealdra Arrikanez by the way, if you need any help you can talk to I or Twiddle."
Taking her advice you head up the beach towards the road. From your vantage point you can see that it winds a long for quite a ways before breaking off to go to the cliff face. You're in for quite a walk, but something about this seems worth it.
An hour later you find yourself in front of a small, but homely looking cabin, the waves crashing far blow you against the rock face. A small sign hanging over the door reads "Rahar Cove". Below it hangs another sign reading "Home". You take a deep breath, unsure of exactly what to do and then step inside.
As you head into the small log cabin, the scent of lavender tickles your nose. There is an undertone of something else though, maybe fish? Apparently Twiddle had the idea to place lavender scented candles almost everywhere to get rid of the stench. The soft light cast a welcoming aura all around.
As you walk further in, your feet cushioned by an oriental rug, you hear some rustling noises behind the wooden desk before you. "Where is that...." A voice suddenly says, obviously talking to herself. Suddenly a red pouf of hair flew up from behind the desk, "AHA! Gotcha!" The young woman says, grinning. As she spots you though, she smiles apologetically. "Oh! I didn't hear you come in. I must look like such a nutcase!" She laughed, a musical sound, and set her pen on the desk before her.
"I'm Twiddle. You've probably already met Kealdra, as normally people don't find thier way here without directions. Anyway, welcome, welcome! I can tell you all about our wonderful adoption program if you're interested!"
The woman pushed a pamphlet into your hands, it was adorned with whales, dolphins and manatees, and inside it was filled to the brim with information. "If you have any questions, feel free to ask!"
