You've been personally selected from a group of professionals who have recognized your abilities and feel that you are more than capable of attending Saigo Academy. Because of your skills and assets, we feel that you and a handful of other potential students are prepared to take the next step into our world. As you should know about our current economic disorder, we ask that you only consider your attendance if you have the intention to sustain Noxis and Arcadia with new life.

At Saigo Academy, we wish for all of our students' safety, but be warned – we are creating proper protectors out of you and your future classmates. Just outside of Noxis creeps various monsters with numerous skills that seek to destroy the remainder of living sustenance that we are trying to preserve. You and a group will fight these beasts under careful supervision by an experienced faculty member in combat. They will be your instructor and mentor.

Do not be afraid. As it comes to the end of days for Arcadia, it's not for the faint of heart to defend and rebuild it. We start with a strong foundation, but we need you to be our constant building blocks to further move our scattered civilizations. It's finally time where we come together to prove that Arcadia stands a chance. That's why you have been chosen. It's up to you to make the first step.

Nearly two-hundred-years ago, all living entities suffered an extinction from war – but not just any kind of battle was fought here. Our Earth suffered the consequences. Winds no longer brushed by. Fires burned brighter than they ever have before. Water became scarce. The purity was soon tainted by oil and imperfections. Soil was no longer fertile; farmers had no place for crops. Some say darkness finally coveted the lands and destroyed them one at a time.

Pandora was the first woman created on this Earth made from clay. At least that’s what the Greek legends say. Greek Gods endowed her with beauty, speech, clothes, and musical abilities. Truly, a desirable woman. However, her creation was made all from sin. Our story does not start with her. Prometheus, a Titan of Greek mythology suggests that he stole the fire from Olympus – the fire from Zeus, the mighty God. Zeus wanted man to have no benefit of fire, but Prometheus saw it otherwise. As part of his atonement for the theft of fire stolen from Olympus, Zeus chained Prometheus to a boulder. It was not enough punishment. Epimetheus, Prometheus’s brother took part in his so called sin. His brother had been warned not to accept any coming gifts from the mighty God. Pandora was handed to Epimetheus as a bride, as well as a box with a letter. Inside the letter wrote "DO NOT OPEN”. With the writing came a key to unlock the box. Epimetheus was so awed by his wife, he never thought to touch the box, but there was one other who was. Pandora. Among one of the many gifts given from the Gods, they gave her curiosity. She unlocked the box. Once she did, illness, disease, death released from the box. By the time Pandora put the lid on the box, it was too late. By the time Epimetheus discovered what had happened, Pandora showed him the box and opened it. It was just an empty box.

In some mythology, evils from the box returned to their rightful place by a nameless hero. Some think the box was opened a second time – and much worse came from the second time. Evil tore the land apart. Part of the legends say the remainder of what may have been captured in Pandora's box had been hope.

Wealthy scientists – after Earth was renamed Arcadia some time ago – from around the world gathered after the evil phenomena. It was decided among the very few that a project would be placed. Tested on adults, they implanted powers and abilities within them using nanotechnology. It was believed that the use of this rich technology would cure Arcadia of impurities. Months they went through training mental and physical activity. These scientists had to know precisely which human was affected by medicine, temperatures, physical and mental abilities and disabilities. Eris Project proved to be an uplifting success. At least, it did at first.

After years and months of research, the adults started to weaken an decompose alive. The worst pain imaginable were acting on human beings. Doctors and nurses had done all they could to keep the remaining adults alive, but with little knowledge of the advanced science, most of them couldn't provide proper care. Eventually all the experimented adults passed.

With little hope left remaining from the group, they didn't want to give in just yet. After experiencing heartbreak and loss, it convinced them to give one final trial around. They had been through so much this far... The Eris Project would not fail this round. Younger test subjects were extracted from an orphanage and placed into their testing facility. No one could possibly look for them or retrace any of their steps.

A year passed from the young children's first trial and none of them had fallen ill. In fact, the children of the Eris Project deemed immune to any illness. The nanotechnology was speeding up the immune system and enlarging the white blood cell count. Their DNA was no longer that of a human, but a very new rare race of their own. Something better than humans...better than any of the mystical creatures that came to roam Arcadia with an increase in numbers. The scientists named this race the Primals.

Brain functionality increased 20% of that a normal human. They were allowed to regenerate quicker than the average human and physical harm to them was incredibly dampened as grew.

Finally a time came when the children wanted to run away from the facility stranded on an island. And most of them did. Only four were left behind due to restraints. The rest found a new home on Arcadia. Somewhere where they would call home. Soon after the children's disappearance, the Eris Project seceded, but much is spoken of the Primals - the children of Eden.

Very little remains left of Arcadia. The ones who can only heal it, are those that we've fought to keep hidden for years. Races and powers unknown to us were kept away from the human race, but little of the human race now survives in a guarded city called Noxis. From all over the world remains shattered cities of races. Most have already began to set their own utopia; however the human race seeks help in those who have the ability to do so. Noxis is by far small. It's the only remaining human city striving on Arcadia. Because they seek survival, asking other raced cities became a necessity.

Saigo Academy is a melting pot of races and skilled humans to protect the human race on this side of Arcadia. What they don't know is that they will be protecting the rest of the remaining races.

Chimera, another name for demon or evil, reside on the outskirts of Noxis. It was believed that their creation was to feed on all living things. Because the other races had their own set abilities and skills, this made the human race simply...primitive. There's one thing about these demons – they are not all one in the same.

So we leave it up to our last hope; our future heroines to purify all of Arcadia.

It's pretty commonly knowledgeable to follow the rules of Gaia and the rules of this roleplay. The result of non-compliance will have you removed; none of us want that. With that said, as more commonly stated rules, no stealing, plagiarizing, etc. Keep in mind that characters don't have to be Mary-sue or Gary-sue to be an acceptable character. Every character has gone through something to get them to this point of the story in the roleplay. Be creative with your characters. Make them vary. The size of Lost Days should be helpful due to the smaller amount of characters. On that note, each person can have only up to two characters unless advised otherwise. If more character slots are open, the character capacity may open. Obviously a lot of creative freedom is being used - including the creation of homelands for your characters ( if desired ), and approved races.


Please make sure to fill out all the appropriate sections. Try to avoid making any altered changes with coloring, etc. I'm not asking for samples since you will be doing a little more writing involved than you will with your profiles - to see what you bring to the roleplay. Keep in min that this isn't a first come first serve, but also try not to waste any time. And don't be sending application PM's. They will be ignored. Post all applications in the Application Thread. Coding can be found in the proper Coding Thread.


After your application has been reviewed and accepted, you will have three days to finish your profile, otherwise your reserve for the character role you applied for will be removed. All profiles should be in their own profile threads. Finished profiles should be linked in the Application Thread and quoted to Prophecyte. No PM's will be acceptable. Feel free to alter any colors that you wish ( including any images if you know how ). It is your profile, after all. If you feel the need to add any relationship posts after your completed profile, feel free to do so.


Posts should have a minimum of three solid paragraphs. This is a lazy literate roleplay after all, so it's expected to run smoothly but not entirely slowly either. It's imperative that before you join the roleplay, that you will at least be able to submit one post per week. Character sweeps will be kept on task. Every Saturday evening, posts will be accounted for. Posts do not need to be outstandingly beautiful. All that's required ( if need be ) is a picture and name of your character.

The city is bustling and loud. You know the one city that used to never sleep? Well, make this the new named city that never sleeps. Every street is filled with unique shops, restaurants, and new gadgets. Nearly at every corner, someone will try and stop you just to sell something. Or better yet ask for money. For being the last human controlled city left in Arcadia, it's rather well kept than most remaining cities on the planet. Although it seeks constant technological advances to continue to thrive, farmers live near the outskirts of the city to grow Noxis's food. Other races have agreed to help restore the remaining human civilization – so don't be surprised if you spot a mermaid swimming in the fountains! Or a pixie pilfering through a crowd! One more thing, however. Nothing comes in and nothing goes out...unless that is, you happen to be permitted to do so.

　　　　
　　　　
Noxis has the good, the bad, and the plain ugly. The slums of Noxis are overcrowded with people in poverty – these are the people who can barely afford clothes off their back or even food. This is where a lot of illegal black market trading can be commonly found. Drifters from the wastes often find junk or material that are still valuable to some people within the city. Wastelands are extremely dangerous considering they lay just on the outskirts of the wall, however most drifters make a living from this and is technically considered Noxis's most dangerous job due to the Chimera.

As stated once, it will always be a frequent reminder to Noxis residence. There is only one way in, and one way out. The only way out is to be used by the heavily guarded Bridge of Arca. Originally, the name was voted on to be the Bridge of Arcadia, but instead the name was shortened by the prior ruler of Noxis. Because of the bridge, it was said that the city was not guarded enough, and because of the technology used, an electronic force field was simply not enough. So to further protect Noxis, a fortified wall was built of thick metal and stone to surround the city. Not only does the wall protect the ground, but an electrified force field connects to six main different sectors of the wall. The force field would remain strong, so as long as even all but one stood.


　
This is Saigo Academy. More or less, this is a testing ground to prove to the world that students are ready to protect it. Saigo is a boarding school that houses all students. Some say the academy is a type of military school. Not many get in and not many graduate. Although Saigo Academy is not one of the elite education schools, but it is top in housing and training super powered beings.

　　　　
The winter uniform for the academy uniforms and spring uniform for boys and girls alternate between the seasons. During the winter, the girls will wear black but then switch to a navy blue in the spring. Vice versa for the males.

　　　　
　　　　
　　　　
Saigo Academy preach that students conquer their fear and cover their own weaknesses. No matter what gender. So to treat all others equal, the co-ed dormitories were brought in four years ago after successful trial runs. Every dorm room has a separate bedroom filled with more than enough space for every student need, including personalizing. In every dorm consists of a miniature kitchen. Enough for a quick to-go and visit with friends or dine with roommates. However silly it sounds, Saigo Academy encourages socialization.

The courtyard gives a large roomy space for groups of students; either for studying, extra curricular activities, or just a regular hangout. In the courtyard resides and landscape bridge crossing a decent sized pond. It's said that this pond has some mystical healing properties, but it's so far been a rumor.

Here in the school hides a wandering secret passageway. Found in this hall rests the crystals of knowledge. Once these crystals are activated, they become artificial intelligence able to communicate with any living being. These crystals are not allowed to leave the passageway, otherwise they remain useless. At the end of the passage climbs numerous stairs with endless amounts of bookshelves and many books nearing to the same of the library. Once the the door at the end of the passageway is reached, it leads to a hidden door to the rooftop. Nothing special about the rooftop – it is just a rooftop after all.
