Born in a private wing in a hospital in Seoul, Jung Shin was the unplanned child. He was his parent's third child, though they'd wanted to stop at two. He has two older siblings, an older brother by the name of Myung Shin and an older sister, Shin Hye. Each of his siblings has a purpose. Myung Shin will one day take over the Gandul, following their father's footsteps and leading. Shin Hye will be one day married off to some wealthy business leader or gang lord to further expand the iron grip that the Gandul has on Korean society. Jung Shin was always just there. "I have no purpose for you," This was what his father told him often when he was a child.

Jung Shin would like to imagine that there is love between his parents and that was how he was born, they loved each other so much that they ended up having a third child. He knows that isn't the case, though. He is the result of a night spent with too much alcohol between his parents. Everyone in the Gandul is aware that the marriage between Jung Shin's father and mother was nothing more than a political agreement. Jung Shin's mother is the daughter of a wealthy business CEO, married to Jung Shin's father as a bargaining method - gaining the protection of the Gandul. Jung Shin's mother is beautiful, compassionate, and a little bit of sunlight in the otherwise dark Gandul. But there was no love in her marriage. Jung Shin's father had no qualms about going out and sleeping around with other beautiful women, now having several other children from other women that he refuses to acknowledge. Jung Shin treats the existence of these "siblings" as a form of reassurance in his existence, at least his father acknowledges him more than these poor kids.

Though he was the child that wasn't supposed to exist, that his father had no purpose for, his father found something to do with him. From the time he could walk, Jung Shin was placed in the dojang to begin living the life of a child born in the gandul. He was given the same training regiment as his older brother and was educated in quite literally dozens of martial arts. Taekwondo, akido, hapkido, qigong, borayaku, taekkyeon, kenjutsu, intonjutsu, kumdo, and hwarangdo - just to name a few. It is no exaggeration to say that Jung Shin knows a dozen different ways to kill or seriously maim an individual, both with weapons or with his bare hands. His father had a lot of lessons to teach him about life in the Gandul. Show no remorse, don't turn your back to an enemy, don't let an enemy best you.

Where his father taught him to be intimidating, his mother taught him compassion. Though Jung Shin wasn't planned, he quickly became his mother's favorite. She would always slip him extra portions of food, or would be extra kind to him after he received a substantial beating in the dojang. Jung Shin received his temper and violent tendencies from his father, but his compassion from his mother. She taught him the opposite from his father - who encouraged hurting anyone who even looked at you the wrong way. His mother taught him to only hurt those who deserved it, those who hurt others. It was these lessons that was essentially cause for Jung Shin to develop a bit of a hero complex.

He was just as violent as his father wanted him to be, but only to those he felt deserved it. And the people that deserved it usually came in the form of bullies, those that picked on those that were smaller than them. So because they picked on those smaller than them, Jung Shin picked on them. He was often being hauled off to the administration office at school because he would "start" fights and beat other kids up, the teachers at school always seeming to miss the fact that he almost always was saving other kids from getting the s**t beat out of them. This explains how Jung Shin ended up in class 1-S. He came across a group of bigger kids pushing around one of the nerdier kids and he lost it. One of the group of three kids was hospitalized due to the injuries he received from the beating, the other two simply missed school for several weeks while they healed.

While Jung Shin's violent ways always received a pat on the back from his father, Jung Shin's mother disapproved - even though she was the one who taught him to protect people in the first place. His mother's idea of punishment is scarier than even that of his fathers. He would rather be beaten by his father than the punishment his mother subjects him to, the woman making him kneel on rice for a good half an hour every time she finds out about another fight or a new person who fell victim to his violent tendencies. This conflict of parenting styles is largely what reflects on his conflicted personality, a mix between his inability to control his temper and his overwhelming compassion for certain individuals.

OO1. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Benjamin was born in the Gangnam region of Seoul, spending the first four years of his life in Seoul before his family made the move to the United States. They initially took up residence in New York City, though after some difficulty financially they moved to Westchester when Benjamin was ten years old.
OO2. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Benjamin's father attended college as a student of the culinary arts, and after graduating high school he was on the fast track to becoming a famous chef. He was pretty well sought after in Korea for a number of years, though he eventually grew tired of the profession after awhile. He retired from the professional chef business in mind of something a lot more small scale, moving his family to New York and attempting to open up a small Korean bbq place in the big city. This attempt failed largely, because of the competition offered by KoreaTown.
OO3. X ▬ ♔ x ) x After making their move to Westchester, Benjamin's father changed things up a bit and decided to open up Dose, as opposed to attempting another Korean restaurant. It established itself as a small bakery and coffee shop, eventually adding on a cafe and deli portion to it once it became successful enough. It quickly won the people of Westchester over with it's inventive pastries and coffee blends, and it was reasonably priced to accommodate the lower class people living in Westchester too. Benjamin spent many years peering over his father's shoulder and learning all there was to know about cooking, and then later the art of making drinks. Once he was sixteen he was officially recruited to work as a barista and has been doing so for two years now. He's quite popular amongst the ladies (mostly older women between fifty and eighty).
OO4. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Every summer since he was six has been spent attending a sleep-away sports camp, Benjamin even having attended this year to serve as a camp councilor. These many years at sports camp, as well as his participation in various youth teams have facilitated his love of athletics. He's quite talented at a variation of sports, though soccer is easily his passion. He was scouted to attend OCD when he was in the seventh grade, being offered a scholarship after the headmaster saw him play a match for the public middle school he was attending.
OO5. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Benjamin began attending OCD when he was in the eighth grade (as OCD runs 6th through 12th grade), and while he's been there for a number of years and has made a few friends over time ... he still doesn't really feel as if he fits in.
OO6. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Benjamin's family is what could best be described as upper-middle class, meaning that his family is pretty well off financially and able to support all their needs. Benjamin thought he was pretty spoiled, that is until he saw the kids at OCD. Everyone at OCD continuously writes him off as being poor, even though his father has a successful cafe and has also published a line of cook books reminiscent of his professional chef days. Apparently if you don't have billions of dollars in your bank account you don't amount to anything.

Ben decided to pay his own way, though, saving up money from birthdays, Christmases, and eventually from tips working as a barista until he could eventually afford a car. He purchased it shortly after his seventeenth birthday, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. It's nice, having amenities such as an aux plug for his ipod. However, to save money he opted for manual controls - meaning the car doors have to be manually unlocked and the windows have to be manually rolled up. OO1. X ▬ ♔ x ) x The Nam family tree that Aria descends from can be followed backwards for generations, all the way back to Joseon Era Korea to be exact. The Nam family prides themselves in being "true royalty," as they claim to anyone that will listen that they are descended from a line of royals that lived in the palace as members of the court. After royals became a thing of the past and titles unfortunately became worthless, the Nam family sought out another source of income. This was in 1907. Using what was left over his his families money, Aria's great-great-great grandfather invested in buying a small transportation company. Korea had finally switched over from using simple wagons and the Chinese rickshaws to using the elaborate European carriages instead, such things being imported from Macau (which was at the time controlled by the Portugese). He expanded his company by purchasing several of these carriages, offering a variation of travel options of either the economic standard (wagon or rickshaw), or luxury standard (European carriages). The company evolved with the times, eventually switching and adding in cars and buses. When the Japanese invaded and took over Korea in 1910, as opposed to working against the Japanese invaders, Aria's great-great-great grandfather worked with them, offering them his business for use to commute throughout the country. He was one of the most highly paid Korean businessmen at the time, considering he was one of the few willing to do business with the Japanese. He continued to accumulate money, and as the times changed, so did the company. After the invention of the automobile and it's arrival in Korea, her great-great grandfather began incorporating those into his transportation business as well. The same applied to buses when they arrived. In the 1950s her great grandfather decided to get adventurous, maintaining his role as a transportation service provider (ie: taxis, buses, etc) - but at the same time investing in trying to manufacture the things he needed to save money. At first he merely manufactured what he needed for his taxi service, though soon he tested the waters with manufacturing automobiles and was quite successful. He became the second of what would later be thousands of Korean automobile manufacturers. The company continued to grow with the times, and now Nam International Industries in the modern day is a company that stretches over several continents with involvement in automobile manufacturing, transportation services, travel agencies, and they're even behind a large percentage of the popular airlines (owning and manufacturing said airlines).
OO2. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Flash to modern modern day, now dropping all the history stuff. At the time of their marriage, Aria's mother and father still had residence in South Korea, Seoul to be more specific. Shortly after they were married, though, Aria's grandfather ordered for her father to make the move to New York to get some experience running the American branch of the company. He did so, and two years later his only child was born (Aria, obviously), which was cause for him to settle down completely. When he was handed over the entire company, which was at this point probably worth more than the American debt to China, he changed the primary office of the company from Korea to New York so he could live in the States and still run the business. When Aria was only two years old it was decided that the family would migrate from Manhattan to Westchester to search for an environment healthier for raising children. They kept their penthouse in New York City as a sort of vacation home, also using it as a place Aria's father could stay should he have to stay in the city long term for business reasons.
OO3. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Aria's mother was a homemaker, or - the closest thing a Korean woman could get to a homemaker at the time. Aria was raised for the most part by a collection of nannies, nurse maids, butlers, and other hired help while her mother lounged around with the other wealthy women playing cards and eating bonbons. The only time her mother ever really paid any attention to her was on pageant days. Ah yes, Aria is in fact one of those child pageant children. She was taught from birth by her mother that beauty is everything, and she spent many of her weekends at child pageants. Over the course of her childhood she accumulated thousands of dollars in prize monies, not that she needed it.
OO4. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Aria quit pageantry when she was twelve in exchange for doing ballet full time and accompanying that with modeling. She eventually dropped modeling when she was sixteen after they almost found out about her bulimia. Ballet is probably one of her greatest passions, though. It's the one time when she can stop worrying about her mother's criticisms and expectations and focus on herself.
OO5. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Even though she is the only child of the company at the moment, she will never be able to inherit it. Her parents are still desperately trying to conceive a son, it's really quite pathetic how hard they're trying. If that plan doesn't work out, once Aria is married to a respectable man the company will be passed on to him and he'll continue the legacy. This is all because the Nam family still operates by very old fashioned Korean standards, as most do, dictating that women cannot own a company. She's spent her entire life being trained to be the perfect house wife, her fate ultimately being forced to listen to her husband and to raise children (in other words, pass them off to nannies like her mother did with her).
OO6. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Aria has always had a particularly vile personality, blame it on her mother who instilled the belief that beauty and winning is just about the only thing that should matter from a young age. Aria started off high school content as the Beta of the Pretty Committee, though with much bigger dreams in mind. The cards all seemed to work in her favor when Hannah was dethroned. Though she felt sympathetic to the one person who had been her best friend through practically everything, Aria used the scandal to her advantage and played the role of angel. She did her mother proud, succeeding in claiming the ultimate queen title as queen of OCD. Since then she's been ruling with an iron fist, well - hypothetical iron fist. An actual iron fist would be tacky.

MATTHEW JEON ✩ 」 xx they first met when they were kids, and while at first it was clear that it was primarily their parents trying to shove them together - soon they eventually began to develop feelings of their own for one another. aria is totally in love with and one hundred percent devoted to matthew. even if they may seem incredibly dysfunctional on first impression, not being the sort to act all coupley in public, they've established a working relationship to be quite proud of. aria tells matthew practically everything, and even though it may not always seem like it - she supports all of his dreams, even the crazy ones.

HANNAH LEE ✩ 」 xx these two have been best friends since they were toddlers; having done practically everything together when they were kids. this extended into when they were teenagers and, when hannah formed the pretty committee, aria happily took on the position as beta. aria tells hannah almost everything, and the things she doesn't tell her about - hannah always seems to find out about on her own accord (like aria's bulimia). when hannah was dethroned, aria did something stupid and betrayed her trust. after hannah's return, aria couldn't seem to apologize enough. they've restored a good part of their friendship to what it was, but the trust they used to have for each other has significantly weakened and that can all be blamed upon aria.

ETTE MOORE ✩ 」 xx aria is best friends with every single member of the pretty committee, though some are closer than others. they were good friends when the pretty committee first formed, though after hannah's departure aria was quick to make ette her beta after taking over. aria may keep a lot from her, but she appreciates ette's company and is glad she never seems to question her decisions. anyone that pays attention knows that aria is trying to push ette and maver together, because while she claims to have accepted ette's promiscuous ways, she can't help but find herself angry everytime ette sleeps with someone below "the status of the pretty committee."

BETH EARNSHAW ✩ 」 xx at first aria was a little bit uncertain about beth, always looking over her shoulder to make sure that beth wasn't going to try and overthrow her (both when she was beta, and now as queen). over time they've come to a mutual understanding with one another and they, too, have a best friend status. like with ette, though, there is a lot that aria keeps from beth. there's just something about telling her deepest secrets to those two that aria can't seem to do.

OO1. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Harper's family has been living in New York for generations now, which is a fact that sharply contrasts that of most of the Asian students attending OCD. His family's legacy in New York started in the year 1849, his great-great-great-great-great grandfather and his wife migrating to the United States from Korea at the ripe age of nineteen. In Korea they were a part of the working class, and given Korean social laws at this time there was no chance of them moving up in the world. They'd heard stories of the so called land of opportunity in the west, and they traveled north to China and then took a boat all the way to New York City. (Interesting fact: There were often a handful of Korean immigrants amongst all the Chinese immigrants making the journey to America)
OO2. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Harper's family soon found out that referring to America as the land of opportunity was pretty much a sham. Having left Korea with little more than the clothes on his back and a couple coins in his pocket, his great-great-great-great-great grandfather had to return to the working class. He had been an apprentice to a watchmaker back in Korea, so he sought out some form of a job inventing technology. He ended up getting himself work with one of the first medical technology research facilities in the US, working with this team of inventors and scientists to try and revolutionize medical technology. With this job, he was able to build a somewhat middle class lifestyle for his family, though they were often segregated against due to the fact that they were Korean (though they were often lumped in with the Chinese).

X ▬ ♔ x ) x Harper's great-great-great-great grandfather went on to work in the same medical research facility as his father, while his younger brother went on to train to try and become an actual doctor because very few doctors would actually service Asian immigrants. They were both successful in their pursuits, and by the time he was thirty years old, Harper's great-great-great-great grandfather had succeeded in purchasing the medical research facility from it's original owner, making him one of the first Asian business owners in the city of New York. He had plenty of aspirations for the research facility, planning on innovating it and making it grow and expand to cover more than just medical research. The company continued largely with medical research, though began dabbling in other area's of invention and innovation such as in photography and in the earliest form of computer usage (ie: the typewriter). By 1900, the medical research facility had evolved into a full fledged company in charge of producing both modern medical technologies as well as other inventions such as typewriters, the earliest form of the sewing machine, dish washers, etc. Despite being an Asian run company, they became known for being able to condense bulky inventions to make them more practical.
OO4. X ▬ ♔ x ) x In the year 1915, Harper's great-great-great grandfather took over the company from his father. During the period that was on World War I, the company had temporarily shelved their usual pursuits in exchange for producing war related technologies. After the end of the War, while they continued such research, they resumed medical research and normal production. In the year 1923, Harper's great-great-great grandfather was honored for his advancements in medical technology, and a wing named after him was opened up at the local hospital, which still remains present today. This became a hospital that was regularly funded by the company, which had (over the years) become recognized as Jang Enterprise. In the year 1930, Harper's great-great-great grandfather sent his son back to Korea at the young age of 25 to try and share some of their prosperity. Korea was going without a large number of the inventions that were provided to the Jang family in America, and they wanted to change that. Harper's great-great grandfather started up a branch of Jang Enterprise in Korea while his younger brother remained in the United States to watch over the American branch. In 1938, Jang Enterprise opened a branch of the company in Chicago USA, as well as in China. The Chinese branch proved to be the most successful, their innovations in medical research and their funding for hospitals helping to aid Chinese citizens in the aftermath of the Japanese attacks on large cities like Shanghai and Beijing.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x In the year 1952, the now extensive Asian branch of Jang Enterprise was reunited with the American branch when Harper's great grandfather returned to the United States from his ventures in Korea, China, and Japan to resume control of the company from his cousin. The two halves of the company became officially united, and the name of the company was changed from Jang Enterprise to Jang Group Incorporated. They continued to expand in both the Asian and the American branch, with the company headquarters in New York City being the center of the line of companies. It was Harper's grandfather that pioneered the European branch of the company in the 1970s. The first couple of attempts were failed, though in the 1980s the European branch finally stuck due to the success of Jang Group's version of the personal computer and it's respective technology, of which sales would eventually go on to surpass that of Microsoft. By the year 1991, when Harper's father took over the company, Jang Group incorporated had successful branches of the company in North America, Asia, Europe, and it also had a budding branch of the company in South America - with research facilities and philanthropic pursuits being conducted in the African continent.
OO6. X ▬ ♔ x ) x And now that you've received a comprehensive history of Harper's family and the history of their company, it's time to actually talk about something that matter's - Harper. In the mid-80s, Harper's grandfather moved the family to Westchester despite maintaining their penthouse apartment in the city. Harper's father remained in Westchester, and this is where Harper was born and raised - though his family would spend long period's between New York and Korea. Harper was born in the year 1996 in a hospital in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, born a healthy child with few health complications. Once he was released from the hospital the family returned to their home in Westchester where Harper grew up. From a young age he was enrolled in the finest private schools that money could offer, eventually matriculating into OCD when he was a middle-schooler.
OO7. X ▬ ♔ x ) x When Harper was a year and a half old, his younger sister joined the family. Jin Ah would be Harper's first and only sibling, his parents preferring to keep their family small in contrast to the largeness of the families they'd grown up in.
OO8. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Despite their long history, while one would think the Jang family to be the typical chauvinist sort, they actually have quite the modern set up. Harper's father is in charge of the company while his mother assists with the organization and execution of their various philanthropic pursuits. As far as careers goes, his mother is a well known neurosurgeon who is popular amongst members of the wealthy and elite. Harper and his sister have both been brought up with the idea that they need to be the best at everything they do, Harper being forced into private tutoring in various subjects, dance lessons, piano lessons, and various sports functions from a young age while his sister was forced to endure activities such as sports, dance, vocal, violin, and various tutors on manners. Even though their family has a modern set up to it, their parents do have expectations for their children. Harper is being groomed to take over the company, expected to study and pursue medicine and become some form of doctor until his father relinquishes the company to him. His sister, on the other hand, is being expected to either pursue medicine or some form of a career in business to assist with the company.
OO9. X ▬ ♔ x ) x One thing that Harper has always been proud of is his intelligence. It isn't something his parents had to force him into, or push him towards, he was simply graced with intelligence and he enjoys it. Teachers respect him, administrators admire him, and he's often being convinced to tutor kids with less smarts than he. Currently he's situated at the tippy top of the junior class, almost being promised the spot as class valedictorian. He's hoping to get himself into an ivy league school in the near future, and from there he's going to pursue medical school.
O1O. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Harper has been involved in the F4 since he was in middle school. He doesn't exactly know why he was targeted to participate in the F4 - given that all of the other members are a year older than him, but he's quite happy to be a part of the organization. He became close to it's leader, Matthew, rather quickly after being pulled into the organization. Though when it came time for roles to be assigned, Harper was honestly a little bit butthurt when he didn't get chosen to be beta given how close he and Matthew were. He passed this unfortunate occurrence off on the fact that he was younger than everyone, and that was around about the point where he started trying to come off as being more mature in his attempts to compare to the rest of his friends. Still, despite his many attempts to appear to be mature, everyone (especially the other members of the F4) is often treating him as a baby. He gets what could be easily be considered the five star maknae treatment.
O11. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Harper is and has always been, for lack of a better word, a people person. He enjoys socializing, he loves being around people, meeting new people, and so on. A fact that few people know, though, is Harper actually hates being alone. You can call it a dislike, or you can go so far as to call it a fear - being by himself makes him incredibly uncomfortable. It's gotten to the point that he can't even fall asleep by himself, thus explaining why he has a dog or - in some cases, will crawl into bed with his sister. When in social situations, it also helps to know that Harper enjoys cuddling. This can extend to simple hand holding, hugs, or just full on attachment.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x To those interested in befriending or wooing Harper, there are some very important things you need to know: he likes hugs, cuddling, and all things of that nature - so you've got to be a person who doesn't mind physical contact. While he always seems busy, there is nothing he enjoys more than being lazy, so win him over by spending the day watching movies or playing video games. The way to his heart is, as it is with most boys, through his stomach. He loves food, especially sweets - particularly of the cookie variety. It is also helpful to know that Harper hates arguing. Whenever an argument is started, more often than not Harper will bow out and end it before it even begins - allowing the person attempting to argue with him to win, even if they're wrong.
O13. X ▬ ♔ x ) x The list of skills that Harper possesses can, at times, seem endless. Intelligence, speaking several languages, public speaking, music, dancing, sports - some people have questioned if there's nothing he can't do. Well, there are a lot of things he can't do, but that's besides the point. Out of his entire mile long list of skills, one thing that he's extremely talented at and has always been very proud of - minus his intelligence, is his dancing ability. Harper is a dancer to his very core. He's had both classical and modern training, specializing in anything from ballroom, to hip hop. You name a technique, he can probably do it - or at least tell you a little about it. There was one time in his life when he even considered going against his parent's wishes for his future and attempting to seek out a career as a professional choreographer. He's obviously given up on such foolish dreams, being the people pleaser he is and not wanting to disappoint his parents. He still has a lengthy list of people he idolizes, though, including but not limited to - Hanagami, Hasegawa, Puspos, Eastwood, etc. While most people view Harper as a little kid or, in other terminology, the baby of F4 - those images all seem to disappear when he's dancing. Maybe it's because he get's in his element when he's dancing, or maybe it's simply because the choreography is suggestive - but Harper has a tendency to look the most mature and focused when dancing.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x Some random facts to know about Harper: Red is his favorite color, he enjoys music of the hip-hop and R&B variety - though when around his parents he sticks to classical, despite his family's long support of the buddhist religion, his parents and siblings are all Christian - though of the family, Harper is actually the most religious (not to say he's a bible thumper, or anything). Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke is one of his favorite movies, though he likes all the Miyazaki films, Korean films, and Korean dramas - so choosing an absolute favorite is kind of hard. A saying that Harper says most often is probably declaring that he's hungry. He has very poor eyesight, therefore it's required for him to wear contacts or glasses - usually contacts. He's a terribly sore loser when it comes to games. He is a person prone to judging people more based upon their personality as opposed to looks or wealth. He gets car sick when he's stuck in a car for a long time and is not the one driving. Besides animated films, he enjoys horror films and video games a lot. When trying to make decisions, he's prone to talking to himself. His family and the F4 always complains that he's very forgetful, he's prone to misplacing things such as his sunglasses, ipod, or cellphone a lot which everyone teases him about.

Some have speculated that this is because Harper is quite obviously gay for his best friend, others have (more reasonably) assumed this is because Harper is so focused on his work and his family. Well, breaking news, Harper does in fact have a crush now, and it's on none other than Arden Kim. Yes, that would be Benjamin Kim's younger sister.
PETS X ▬ ♔ x ) x He has one pet, a dog - or puppy to be exact. She's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (a subdivision of Cocker Spaniel) known as Zelda. Many people that look at her name will draw the conclusion that she was named after the hopeless princess from the Legend of Zelda games. This is wrong, though Harper has played several of those video games. She was named after F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife, Zelda, because anybody that knows anything about Harper should be aware of the fact that The Great Gatsby is one of his favorite novels.

OO1. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Clara was one of those children that was born to young parents, her parents being 21 and 22, respectively at the time of her birth. They had gotten married a year beforehand, after meeting and having a "storybook romance" during their time attending the University of Hawaii together. Both of their families were located primarily in Hawaii, the exception being to those relatives still in Korea, so once they were married the couple settled down in Honolulu, Hawaii. Clara's mother eventually went on to become a school teacher, while her father was signed to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Double-A level. He would frequently travel back and forth between Los Angeles and his home in Honolulu. When Clara was 2 years old, the Oh family purchased a small apartment in Los Angeles. During season, they would take up residence in Los Angeles, and then during the times when season was over they'd return to Honolulu to spend time with family.
OO2. X ▬ ♔ x ) x When Clara was four years old her father was brought up from Double-A to triple A, remaining signed with the Dodgers. He played at the triple-A level for half a season, until finally he was called up to play pro after one of the Dodgers regular players received an injury which consequentially resulted in his being benched for the rest of the season. Clara's father took over the position as one of the Dodger's primary relief pitchers that year. At the end of the season, he was offered a million dollar a year contract (for a three year period) to play with the Texas Rangers which he accepted. The Oh family ended their lease at their apartment in Los Angeles, exchanging it for a small home in Arlington.
OO3. X ▬ ♔ x ) x From the time she was five onwards, Clara became accustomed to what could be called "living life out of a suitcase." While they always had a home in the city of whatever team her father was playing for at the time, Clara's mother would follow her father around during season which resulted in Clara following behind them as well. Weekends were spent running around baseball stadiums, oftentimes a different one every week, and then from November to March they would return to Honolulu to take a needed break with family.
OO4. X ▬ ♔ x ) x At the end of his three year contract with the Rangers, Clara's father was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals. He made significantly less money here than he did with the Rangers, and his position on the team only lasted for a season. The following year he signed to play with the Washington Nationals, receiving a 1.5 million dollar a year contract that would last for a full 3 years. When Clara was 12 years old, after his contract with the Nationals expired, her father was traded to the New York Yankees. This was where all of his hard work paid off, as he was signed for 4 years with a 23 million a year contract.

X ▬ ♔ x ) x In his second year playing baseball with the Yankees, her father could tell that his time playing baseball was dwindling because he was getting older (he was in his late 30s at the time) and his risk of injury was slowly increasing. During his off-time he began a small scale business venture, experimenting in the areas of nutrition and training equipment for athletes. Within a years time, this business venture expanded to be a national company that Mr. Oh ran with the help of his wife and younger brother.
OO6. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Clara was sixteen when her father's contract with the Yankees ended, and he retired from his baseball team quite gracefully. Only six months after his last game played with the Yankees he took his company global, officially opening up an office for what had come to be called Oh International in the heart of New York City.
OO7. X ▬ ♔ x ) x Clara started attending OCD when she was twelve years old as a direct response to her father being signed to the Yankees. Her mother had grown tired of following her husband around, so while he was traveling with the team she settled down with her three children (Clara now having 2 younger siblings - Camden and Cooper, respectively) in Westchester, New York. She chose Westchester as opposed to New York City because she wasn't a big fan of the large city, and didn't think it was the safest place to be raising children. They maintained their home in Honolulu as a vacation home, which they'd visit during the summer and winter months sporadically.
OO8. X ▬ ♔ x ) x If there is one thing that differentiates the Oh family from the other new money and old money families, it's how they use their money. Contrasting the other wealthy families, Mrs. Oh was sickened seeing how foolishly other families spent their money and didn't want the same thing for her husband and children. While they have millions to spend, thanks to Mrs. Oh's guiding hand, they've all had to work hard for everything they have and the Oh children aren't given anything unless they earn it first. Clara's car? She only received it as a reward for maintaining a 3.5 GPA throughout high school. The Oh family is a bit of an oddity amongst the rich families given that they live in a smaller house, do their own housework, and act like the typical nuclear American family (you know, family dinners, game nights, etc).

She fits the Hawaiian stereotype of knowing how to surf, and she's quite good at it to. Besides that she also plays softball and girl's volleyball.

Of course, she's not nearly as opinionated as her best friend Arden Kim - but when these two get together they can make a pretty frightening pair. Clara channels all of her weekly opinions into a weekly vlog that she's been posting to youtube since she was fourteen, the blog being known as "Shut Up And Listen." The vlog started as a way for Clara to express her frustrations about her school, though it quickly escalated to discussing world and social issues. A half a year after the first vlog was posted it already possessed a lot of followers. When Clara was fifteen years old, she invited Arden to co-host the show with her. That one video received a lot of views and comments so, since then, Clara has invited Arden back numerous times. Whenever Clara is invited to a youtube convention of any sort, you can bet Arden will be the one she invites to tag along.

charles yang, or charlie yang, is a name that many people have probably heard of before. his family were behind the legacy that was yang enterprise, a multi-million dollar company with their feet in several different areas such as production, entertainment, and most importantly - energy. just ten years ago their names and faces were spattered all across the media, the country praising them for putting new forms of green energy on the map. that was, until the fire. but i'm getting ahead of myself. charles yang was born in seoul, south korea to his very wealthy mother and father. he was the second son, and the middle child. at birth he was given the name yang chaejin. two and a half years later his younger sister, chaerin, joined the family. when chaejin was three years old his parents moved the family to new york with intentions of overseeing their company there. when he started attending school, chaejin became charles (or charlie, as he preferred... though close friends call him cj). his family, and charlie himself were a group of people that were well known and beloved by many... then the fire happened. charlie was eight years old at the time. a fire started in the dead of night, while everyone was sleeping. it quickly lit the entire yang estate aflame. the fire department arrived in good time, though already the entire house was on fire. of the four person family, they only succeeded in saving one... that would be charlie. and the cat, the cat apparently survived. charlie spent many weeks recovering in the hospital and after that he was sent to live with his grandparents. fortunately, or unfortunately i suppose you could say... the fire was cause for charlie to experience amnesia. there were only very small bits of his former life that charlie could remember. so, instead of being depressed over the loss of his family, charlie continued being the happy boy he always was. only... due to his near death experience, charlie got a little weird. shortly after his departure of from the hospital, charlie started seeing ghosts. the encounters were fleeting, at first, but after a few months of experimenting with this ability it got so he could see them for as long as he chose... and he could even speak with them. he is most frequently "haunted" (i guess you could say) by the ghost of his younger sister, which is one of the very few things he can remember about his life before the fire. if he chooses, though, he can open himself up to see other ghosts as well. he kept this gift a secret, at first, though when he was thirteen years old his grandparents caught him talking to himself more and more frequently. they got him help in the form of a psychiatrist, at which point charlie finally admitted freely that he could talk to ghosts. everyone started to write charlie off as being crazy, including his grandparents. despite being a nice boy, he started living a rather solitary lifestyle up until he met the niece and the mute. they were some of the first people to actually appreciate his ability, and since then they've been friends. when his grandparents heard of the niece being shipped off to miss lancaster's, they jumped upon the opportunity and shipped charlie off with her - hoping that being around the beauties would help to fix their grandson. after all, once he was twenty-one he would be expected to take over his parents company and they didn't need a weirdo in charge. other than speaking to ghosts, charlies interest are pretty normal. he plays piano and has a fascination with photography. he has thousands of picture on his phone of things he finds interesting, and even more on a camera that he sometimes carries around with him. he's probably the most pleasant and optimistic of people within his little group of friends, it's just his ability to speak to the dead that causes for people to turn away from him.

park yonghwa comes from one of those families. you know, the families with the overly large houses with hundreds of rooms that are seldom used, the families with a family tree larger than you and i could ever remember, the families whose children seem to be sucking on golden spoons from the time they're born? yeah, one of those families. he was born in the city of seoul, south korea - in the gangnam district to be specific (yes, that place that psy was talking about in his stupid hit single). from the time of his birth, yonghwa lived in the lap of luxury and wanted for nothing. his father was an entertainment company owner and his mother an actress. yonghwa was relatively normal as a child, learning all the subjects his parents wished for him to learn with ease and making lots of friends at school. his parents were always busy, though, and being without ones parents for months at a time is not a good environment for a child. he was raised by nanny after nanny and whenever his parents were around, they seldom acted in the caregiver role unless they wanted something from their son. around the time he was thirteen, yonghwa began crying for attention. acting out in school was where it started - back sassing teachers, starting arguments with other kids, punching them when they didn't listen to him... this lasted until he was fifteen, at which point he discovered girls which was... when another form of acting out started. it was when he was fifteen years old and in his first year of high school that he lost his virginity. he successfully flirted with and seduced a female from the senior class (that would make her three years older than him), and his escapades didn't stop there. from that point on, he began sleeping with any female that would give him the time of day - and even some who wouldn't (he became an expert at seducing members of the female population). shortly after his sixteenth birthday, his parents grew fed up with his behavior and shipped him off to live with his older brother in the states. this was one of the worse possible decisions they could have made, though. yonghwa, who now answered to jamie, became rather enthralled with his brother's wife. seducing her was a bit of a challenge, but he succeeded after a number of months and the two began sneaking around together whenever his brother wasn't home (which was often). the catalyst to his being thrown out of his family was when the senior girl he'd slept with first [and on a number of occasions after the first time] got back in contact with him, informing him that he had a two year old daughter he never knew about. this outraged his parents as it was a disgrace to their name. then, to make matters worse, his brother's wife publicly announced that she'd been sleeping with him in an attempt to divorce his brother. this plan royally backfired and yonghwa was chucked out of his family faster than you could call him a manwhore. it has been a little under a year since yonghwa has been removed from his family and he's surviving as best as he can. he's not the most trusting individual ever, socializing with people but not truly opening up to them. he looks down upon most of the people he spends his time around, which you would never guess considering how smooth and charming he can be. although he harshly refused to get himself involved with the senior girl like she demanded, he does take part in his daughter's life and she is probably the only thing that helps to make him a good person. his escapades with women still continue and they will probably never stop. usually he directs his attentions towards older girls, though it can change depending upon the circumstances. he's willingly agreed to help try and change miss. lancaster's niece and her friends, though he'll probably end up trying to sleep with them before anything else ... who knows.

FACT ■ kanon was actually supposed to be born a girl, at least that's what the doctor told his mom. it's why he got stuck with a name like kanon which is actually a girls name, something to do with flowers or some crap like that.
FACT ■ he was born and raised in tokyo, japan. his father wasn't around much when kanon was a youngster, being a higher up in the yakuza which eventually ended up in his being killed. his mother was blissfully unaware of this, being convinced her husband was a cop. his mother was always a stay at home mom, up until his father's death (when kanon was eight), at which point they moved from tokyo to the states.
FACT ■ two years passed after their moving, during which point kanon's mother met and married an american-born japanese, and mayor of magician's hollow. at that point they skyrocketed from being average people to being proverbially "famous."
FACT ■ kanon is a highly competitive person and get's himself into a fair share of trouble because of it. anything from gambling to video games, and even things such as bike races when he was a kid played on his competitive nature. around the time he was fifteen a couple of older kids got him into the street racing scene. he was only in possession of his learners at the time, but that didn't stop him from getting involved in racing. now he's pretty well known (under an alias, of course) in an underground racing community in one of the larger cities near magician's hollow. if his step-father ever found out, he'd flip s**t.
FACT ■ kanon is an extremely nice person that is essentially easy to get along with. the only thing to beware of is the fact that he's cocky, a bit of a sass master, and has a sharp tongue on him. he makes friends easy and maintains friendships easier. he's essentially a people person, though one that has to apologize a lot because his quick wit can irritate some people.

FACT ■ all three of the shin siblings differ immensely. hankyul is what you would call the troublemaker of the bunch. their family being highly traditional, while the other two siblings willingly follow along with their parents demands and beliefs, hankyul is one to go against the grain and defy all traditions. let's also not forget his penchant for pranking and rule-breaking while at school.
FACT ■ when they were younger, hankyul would instigate trouble by trying to get people to guess which twin is which as they are identical. sungkyul eventually got fed up with this and since that time, hankyul and sungkyul have different hair colors. they're still incredibly close together (borderline attached at the hip), and even with the different hair colors some people struggle to tell them apart.

FACT ■ when they were younger, hankyul would instigate trouble by trying to get people to guess which twin is which as they are identical. sungkyul eventually got fed up with this and since that time, hankyul and sungkyul have different hair colors. they're still incredibly close together (borderline attached at the hip), and even with the different hair colors some people struggle to tell them apart.
FACT ■ hankyul is shorter, though the more muscled twin. looking at them, most people often mistake sungkyul for being the athletic one. it's quite the opposite, sungkyul's interest lying in more of the cooking and gardening area of things.

FACT ■ yuna was born in daegu, south korea although she moved to the united states when she was ten years old. she comes from a relatively average family that's just barely in the middle class. her father works as a small claims lawyer while her mother is a housekeeper. the only reason they got the opportunity to move to the states in the first place is because her mother's employer was moving as well and paid for their moving.
FACT ■ yuna is a rather opinionated individual with dislikes for things such as chauvinism, bigotry, and social status. she loathes the high school "bully the little guy" system and frequently acts out against such displays of the status quo.
FACT ■ she's highly athletic and partakes in volleyball in school and does figure skating outside school. it's not her aspiration to go professional, though. she'd like to take up law.
