Trapped. She felt cornered, and the young female didn’t like that. A low growl passed her lips as she walked back and forth in her room. Her father had placed her in the room because she had run away…for the hundredth time. It wasn’t her fault though. She was tired of living the confined life of a fox demon. She knew that her parents worried about her, but she was old enough to fend for herself now. Chiharu wrinkled her nose as she sat there on top of a plush cushion. Even if her father was the head of the tribe, she knew that there were ways out of the protective spells that he had placed around her room. Quickly, the female got down to business, taking out her jars of herbs that she had collected over the years. “I’ll show him. There’s no way that he’ll be able to keep me tied down for long,” she muttered as she mixed various herbs into an ash tray. Finally, she finished. A smile was on her face as she placed the little ash tray near a window. Holding out her hand, the female fox demon created a small ball of blue flames. The flames caught on the herbs and soon there was a soft mist in the air. Chiharu held her breath as she let the smoke fill the room and out of the window. When she heard the two guards outside collapse, she grinned. It was time to make her escape.

Once she was outside, she exhaled and inhaled the fresh clean air. The sun was just starting to set over in the horizon, and she had the whole night ahead of her. The female ducked into some bushes before tilting her brown fox ears around to see if she could find out where her mother and father were. So far, she didn’t detect them. A sigh of relief came from her lips as she darted across the dirt path into the woods. So far, so good. She couldn’t believe her luck. The female licked her lips and sniffed the air in order to decide which way to go. There was one place that she hadn’t explored yet: the human part of the country. Her parents had forbid her to go there since most humans disliked demons. Still…she wanted to see what those humans were all about. Chiharu closed her eyes for a few moments before her appearance started to shift. In just a few seconds, her fox ears were gone, and her tail was no more. She looked like any ordinary human now. The only thing that would strike her as odd was her hair color. But who really cared about that in a place full of people that liked to experiment with different things?

Chiharu finally found the large castle. Her eyes went upwards as she hid in a bush. “Wow…it’s so big! How do people not get lose in there?” she wondered out loud. The sound of wheels on cobble stone caught her attention, and she quickly fell silent. Her eyes watched a carriage stop by the large gates of the castle. She watched in awe as she saw some people come out from the carriage. They were wearing odd clothes and had masks on. There was one female that had a mask of a fox on her face. Seeing this, Chiharu got an idea. There was a way for her to get in! Using whatever she could, she fashioned a mask out of vibrant green leaves, placing it on her face. Then she pulled back her long hair in a low ponytail before stepping out of the bushes to walk up to the gate. Her eyes fell on the guard, and then she smiled. “Won’t you let me in young man?” she asked in an alluring voice. A hint of a smile touched the female’s lips as she continued to gaze into the man’s dark brown eyes. Fox demons like her knew how to manipulate the minds of the opposite gender. All they had to was lay their eyes on the one they wanted to control. It wasn’t full mind control, and those with strong minds couldn’t be deceived. Luckily for her, the guard on duty had been drinking earlier. His mind was quite foggy, and Chiharu found that he was easily manipulated. The man hiccupped softly and then nodded his head before gesturing that she could pass. “Thank you,” said Chiharu with a smile on her face before she walked into the gates.

She was in! How easy humans were fooled! A soft peal of laughter passed her full lips as she walked with purpose into the large room. She knew what this was. This was a party, and it was being held for a special person. Chiharu turned around her as she surveyed the ballroom. There were so many candles, so many things to look at. It was a wonder how she wasn’t overwhelmed with it all. Being the curious fox she was, she just kept looking around her. There were some young men that whispered words about her, but she ignored them for the most part. “This place is amazing,” she whispered softly. After she got her fill of the ballroom, the female made her way back outside. The sound of animals filled her ears, and she got curious. The sounds were closely matched to horses. So the humans also had horses! Chiharu licked her lips and then started to explore again. Her curiosity was going to be the end of her. The female closed her eyes and still walked around. She could smell a sweet scent in the air, and it was attracting her. She turned a corner, her eyes still closed, and smacked right into something. A soft gasp passed her lips, and her eyes flew open. Chiharu landed on the ground with a small thud and looked up. Her aqua blue eyes met forest green ones, and the female sat there for a few seconds. "I'm...so sorry," she whispered up to the male with dark hair.

"My sweet little demoness. I have one last test for you in order for you to join my ranks," rumbled the voice of the dark overlord. "You shall go to the human world and take a male's love. Once he tells you that he loves you, you will kill him and bring his soul to me."

A slender female had her head held in a low bow as she listened to her Lord. Two tiny horns protruded from her head in a slight curve. Her eyes flashed crimson as she stayed in her kneeling position. Her head only lifted after she heard the great Lord stop speaking. "I will bring back a soul for you, master," she said in an alluring tone. A small smile touched her full lips as she stood up. She placed her right hand over her heart and bowed her head once again. "I shall not fail such a task. I would very much love to be at your side, master." Seeing as her presence was not needed anymore, she walked away backwards to show respect for the man before her. Lucifer, or Satan, was not a demon to be toyed with. There were many demons that had suffered horrifyingly because they had tried to oppose Lucifer. Mijae knew her place, and she wasn't about to overstep her boundaries. Once she was out of sight, she turned on her heel and started to walk away. Her black feathery wings, the opposite of angel wings, rustled as she walked with a steady pace.

She had a job now. If she did it correctly, she could be with Lucifer. Her crimson eyes hardened as she walked passed her colleges. They were whispering about her, but she didn't care right now. She only stopped when she reached the portal to the human world. Already there was a guard there. He seemed to be waiting for her. "You. I need to get to the human world. Tell me all i have to know," she ordered. The male bowed his masked head and then started to tell her what she needed to know. So she needed to shed her demonic appearance for a more human one. That was fine with her. When she agreed to all the things, she held her hand out for the thing that would conceal her true form. The male dropped a necklace into her hand. The black stone swirled with dark energy. When the stone touched her skin, she felt a burning sensation on her back and her head. Her eyes closed as she stood there for the transformation. "The necklace will hide your true form only if you keep it on. Once you take it off, you will look like you are in the demon world. Never take it off," said the male. Mijae waved her hand impatiently and nodded her head. She was fine with that. Before she stepped into the black portal, she placed the necklace around her neck. The black pendant nestled between her collar bones. Then she stepped into the portal.

The human world was bright, and it burned her eyes. A soft growl passed her lips as she stepped out into the world of humans. The first thing she did was figure out where she was. It seemed like she was in a bedroom. Her eyes fell on a large mirror, and she tilted her head to the side. Her appearance was greatly changed. She didn't have her horns, and her wings were gone. Her crimson eyes were now a chocolate brown color. And she was wearing an odd uniform. She touched the knee length skirt and rolled her eyes. "What the hell is this?" she muttered with annoyance in her voice. But she couldn't really do anything about the way she was dressed. She was to attend a school that made its students wear this ridiculous outfit. Mijae shrugged and flipped her long dark brown hair over her shoulder. Oh well. She just wanted to get this job over with. All the information was already in her mind. She had seen the photo of the boy she was to entrance, and she licked her lips in anticipation. "Oh this will be fun. Playing with him will be most enjoyable..."

Heels clicked on the ground as she walked up to the front office. She had made a few alterations to her clothes, and she quite liked it. The necktie that was supposed to be tied around her neck was set loose. Her shirt was buttoned just over her cleavage line, and she had shortened the length of her skirt so that the hem was an inch over her knees. Her long hair was flipped over one shoulder. When she reached the reception desk, she leaned on the counter and tapped the bell. "Excuse me. I'm Mijae Park. I'm a new student here," she said to the woman behind the desk. The woman looked up, and her eyes widened at Mijae's appearance. She coughed slightly and then looked around on her desk for a folder. "Ah yes. You're Mijae Park. Welcome to the school. Your guide will be here shortly. His name is---" Mijae held up her hand with black painted nails. "His name is Joon Sung. I already know. I'll wait for him then," she finished the woman's sentence with a coy smile. Without further ado, the slender female walked to the back of the office where she knew where she would be picked up.

After what seemed like ages to her, the guide finally came. Mijae eyed her prey with her dark eyes for a few minutes before giving him a seductive smile. This boy was a joke! He would be easy to snare in her web. Sighing slightly with disappointment, she gave him a small bow of her head. "I look forward to being with you," she told him. It seemed that they were going to go to the rooms first. Mijae had just come from there, but she didn't really care. School was a joke for her. She didn't need to bother studying. Grades weren't her concern. She followed him back up to the rooms, keeping very close to him. Without a word, she entered her room again. Of course she was beaming when she found out that his room was right next to hers. Mijae leaned against the wall as she waited for Joon to come and get her. When he did come into her room, she gave him another dazzling smile. Hearing his comment, she shook her head. "Joon Sung? It's a nice name," she commented. Then she stepped toward him. When she was inches from him, she leaned forward and whispered words into his ear. "Dorm room are so much better to have fun in though." When she pulled away, her eyes were glittering.

"How about you show me around now? We have most of the day to ourselves. Perhaps you could introduce your friends?" she suggested to him as she crossed her arms underneath her chest. Then she walked passed him and out into the hallway. A group of boys passed by her, and they all blinked when they saw her. Mijae could see the want in their gazes as they looked her up and down. She gave them a smile and wave before tossing her head slightly. She licked her lips slightly and looked over her shoulder. "Joon?"

                                                {ooc: no worries. hmm. mijae turned out more like a temptress than i had originally planned. i hope you don't mind that}

The sound of gun shots filled the air as she rode away on her chestnut colored stallion. The female wasn't holding her breath though. No. She wasn't scared of the sound of bullets in the air. In fact, she really wasn't scared of anything. After many years of working as a bounty hunter, she had lost her shy nature and become what she was today: a fearless legend. Scarlet Tournio used to be a respectable woman from the east, but the loss of her fiancee to a bandit and another woman had just torn her innocent heart to pieces. Now she worked to get rid of bandits and other outlaws out there in the wild west. But through the years, she had been given the title of being an outlaw herself. Even so, it didn't really deter her. Not many wanted to believe that a female could be such a terror. Scarlet was just fine with that. The more people didn't want to believe that she existed the easier her tasks on catching people was. Right now, she was galloping away on her horse from a base where her intended target was. Unfortunately, she hadn't come very much prepared. The young nineteen year old female had only thought that there was going to be one man she had to catch, but in reality there was a whole gang of them. "Damn those flea-bitten men," she said in a low growl. She kissed her teeth angrily as she placed her silver revolver back in its holster on her hip.

Scarlet reached up and removed the cloth that covered the lower half of her face. She let the red bandanna fall and rest on her neck as she kept her horse at a steady running gallop. Later on in the week she would go back to get her target. After a while of galloping on the horse, she pulled on the reigns to let her horse run at a canter. "Easy there," she crooned to her stallion softly as she pat the side of its head. The horse whinnied softly and tossed its head before looking back on the dusty expanse ahead. It would take a good hour or so for her to get back to the little town she called home. The town went by the name of Arrow Hart County, and the sheriff there was one hell of a man. Arrow Hart County was also the place where she usually dropped off the men she caught to the sheriff of the town. A smile touched her lips as she thought of the man. There was no doubt about it that he disliked the so-called female bounty hunter that gave him criminals. She could bet that he felt like she was stealing his job. Scarlet laughed on her horse and wiped her eyes. "I wonder what he'll do next. Rampage?" she asked out loud into the afternoon sun.

When she finally reached Arrow Hart County, she quickly got off her horse and started to proceed on foot. It would be best to not show herself in the town just yet considering she was in clothes that made her the outlaw she was. Inhaling deeply she went around the little, dusty town and went to her little house that rested just on the outskirts of the town. The little house was one that she bought a while ago using her dead fiancee's money. As soon as she reached her house, she tied her horse to the fence and went inside. "Another day, another day," she said to herself as she flung her gun and holster onto a chair. It was time to change her outer looks now. Scarlet reached into her hair and pulled out the long pheasant feathers that she wore as a clip. Then she walked to her homey bedroom and started to undress. In just thirty minutes she was done with her transformation. Now she was wearing the clothes that most females wore out here. But hers had a little more suggestion to it. The red corset dress used to have a high neck collar, but she had altered it to make the neckline plunge downward in a V shape. The part of the sleeve that rested on her shoulder fell off her slender shoulders nicely. Scarlet turned around as she looked at herself before nodding.

If anything, her appearance was one that would definitely catch attention. The older women of the town whispered distaste whenever they saw Scarlet, but the female cared not. Those women knew nothing of her. Now she exited her house and started to walk to the local saloon where she usually got her information. But today was a special day. There was going to be some sort of celebration at the saloon. She didn't know what the celebration was for, but she wasn't about to miss out on some fun. Most of the men couldn't stop staring at her whenever she made her appearance at the saloon. The women just glared at her with resentment and jealousy at her tenacity. Scarlet laughed softly and whipped out her black lace fan in her right hand. She held the fan to her face as she walked into the saloon.

"Well, well, boys," she said in her sweet voice. At the sound of her voice, the bartender smiled and nodded his head as he looked her over. "What bring you here Miss Tournio?" Was it a surprise that the man knew her real name? Not at all. When Scarlet did her job, people knew her by the name of Crimson Hawk. She had no idea why people called her that, but it didn't really matter to her. Besides, it helped her at times. Since no one knew that the Crimson Hawk was actually a young twenty year old female, she could basically be unafraid of giving her real name to other people. "I heard that you all had a party. And you know that I would never opt out of a party," she said with a seductive grin on her face. She walked over to the bar and sat herself down on a wooden stool. Her long slender legs peeked out of the skirt of her dress, and she felt the eyes of the men zero in on her. She rolled her eyes and smiled. "So where is that dashing sheriff these days?" Her question hung in the air for several seconds before the bartender answered. "He's still probably fuming over the last little incident. I still can't believe that Crimson Hawk is really real. More than likely our sheriff is mad that she caught that infamous bandit!" Scarlet merely smiled over this as she listened. Inwardly, she was laughing. Oh, it was too much fun to torment her little sheriff. "Now, now. Let's not make fun of our dear sheriff. It's not his fault that a female had gotten the upper hand," she said with a small flourish of the hand that held the lacy fan.

Her statement made the men chuckle softly. Soon her mind started to drift as she tried to figure out what she should do about those bandits from earlier. There was no telling in what they had planned. A soft sigh passed her lips, and she looked around. As she was doing this, the bartender set a dainty glass in front of her. When she saw it, a frown appeared on her lips. "You know that I dislike alcohol, Richie," she said. "Yes. I do. It's just rose water. I acquired a barrel full o'that stuff a week ago. I saved it for you, Miss Tournio." Scarlet smiled and picked up the glass before sniffing it. The scent that came off it was pleasing, and she sipped it. The sweetness of the drink filled her mouth, and she laughed. "This is sublime," she commented with a laugh. Now just where was that sheriff?

Cold. That was his first greeting of the morning as the Chinese male finally slipped off his futon and onto the cold hardwood floor. A soft squeak passed the male's lips, and he let out a small curse in Chinese. A soft knock at his door, caused him to quickly sit up ramrod straight as he waited for the person to enter. In came him mother, and she did not look happy at all. The older woman started to spew out things in rapid fire Chinese, causing Xiaomin to have a small headache. "Nǐ yào qù shàngxué chídào! Qǐlái! Gǔn chūqù!" exclaimed his mother irritably. Xiaomin sighed and rubbed his green eyes sleepily. Yes. His eyes were green. It resulted in having a father that was British and a mother that was Chinese. "Mama! I'll get going soon! Please don't yell so loudly," he said as soothingly as he could to his irate mother. As he spoke, he got up from the cold floor and stretched his arms above his head. For an eighteen year old male, his build wasn't that manly. Xiaomin had a feminine figure, and it gave him troubles at times. His mother crossed her arms under her ample chest as she waited for her son to finish dressing before leaving him in peace. Once his mom left, Xiaomin blew out a sigh of relief before going to check his phone for any text messages. He usually turned the phone off at night. While the phone turned on, he sat on his bed, ruffling his chestnut brown hair slowly. A new text message flashed in his face, and he eagerly opened it. It read: Final judgement is upon us... A soft peal of laughter passed the male's lips. The text message was from his very close friend, Angelo. Quickly, the male typed out a message to his friend:
                                                        To: Angelo
                                                        Re:____
WOOOO!!! SCHOOOL!!!! haha. imma be there in a few!
                                                        <3 xixi

Xiaomin pressed send and then went to his close to get his book bag. His emerald green eyes lingered on his reflection in the large mirror that hung in front of the closet door. A soft sigh passed his lips as he stared at his reflection. "When will I get rid of these girly features of mine?" he wondered out loud as he stood close to the mirror squinting.

Right before he left his room, he grabbed his glasses from the nightstand, placing them on his nose. Then he walked out of his warm room and into the kitchen where his mother was preparing breakfast. Of course she had to go all out like all Asian mothers did for their sons. Xiaomin's eyes widened in shock as he watched his mother place a bowl full of soup in front of him. There was no time for him to actually drink up the hot soup! Already he was running late. "Mama! I have to go! Can I just take the buns?" he asked as he started to hop up and down like some sort of rabbit. His mother shook her head and waved her head. Smiling, Xiaomin grabbed the three buns on the plate that was next to the soup and stuffed one into his mouth. He looked fairly like a chipmunk as he ran out of the little one story house and into the broad daylight.

He was glad that he had brought a light scarf with him. The male pulled it out of his book bag and wrapped he pink and brown scarf around his neck before starting to run as quickly as he could down the sidewalk. While he did this, he juggled the last two buns while chewing as fast as he could on the one he had stuffed in his mouth earlier. Where he lived wasn't that far from the school. It was just down the lane and a block away. Usually it took him fifteen minutes to walk, but since he was running late, he decided to run the distance, cutting his time to ten minutes. Finally he reached the school, huffing slightly at the front before calming his racing heart down. "Phew...made it," he said softly. He inhaled deeply before looking around. More than likely his friend would be near the cafeteria. It was their usual meeting spot in the large school filled with almost over two thousand students. Xiaomin looked down at his hand that held the two buns. A small smile touched his lips, and he tilted his head to and fro as he walked toward the cafeteria. He had made up his mind to share his little breakfast with his friend.

Xiaomin's friend was one that was pretty eccentric. The male had red and black hair, not to mention a disposition that some found intimidating. In ninth grade, Xiaomin had met the young man, and the two were best friends immediately. Angelo was the one who usually helped the Chinese boy out whenever he got teased or taunted by the other people at the school. Now the boy was whistling a tuneless melody as he actually skipped his way to the cafeteria. Some of the newer female of the junior class glanced over at him, commenting that he was a cute guy. Hearing this made him flush a pink color, and he tried hard to get rid of the blush before he found his friend. In all honesty, he wasn't interested in girls. But he would never admit this to anyone. It was one to look like a girl and be mistaken for one, but it was another to like guys openly. Sighing, Xiaomin shook his head and pushed his glasses up his nose. As he neared the cafeteria, he looked around for his friend.

It didn't take him long to find the red and black haired male. Waving like a madman, Xiaomin tried to get Angelo to notice him from afar. Then he made his way over to him, smiling. "Herro!" he said, the Chinese accent getting in the way of his speech. Without waiting for his friend to answer back, he pressed a bun to his lips, stuffing it a little bit in Angelo's mouth to ensure it wouldn't fall out. Then he took a step back and took a bite out of his bun. The warm filling filled his mouth and he let out a soft moan of ecstasy. Oh how he loved his mother's cooking. After finishing his bite, he started to talk. "Ready for this year? I wonder what things will happen!" If he had cat ears, they would be twitching like mad. Mornings were his best time.

It was snowing! It was snowing! She couldn't believe her eyes when she looked outside her frosty window at five in the morning. The female was an early bird, and now she was pressing her warm face against the chilly glass. Her nose was slightly smushed as she tried to look all over the place. "Snow!" she said to herself in an excited voice. She loved snow. The female could sit there for hours while watching the snowflakes drift slowly down to earth. The moment was always magical to her. As she watched the snowflakes fall, she traced their paths on the window with a slender pointer finger. But this was over two hours ago. The young eighteen year old girl was now standing in front of her mirror, debating if she had over-dressed. Chiharu turned this way and that as she looked at every inch of herself before she nodded with satisfaction. Usually, she wasn't the type of girl to very much care for her looks, but today was special. Her best friend had texted her a little while ago stating that he wanted to meet her at the park. "I wonder what he wants to do," she wondered out loud as she walked across the wooden floor of her bedroom. Her sky blue eyes glanced at the little white clock that rested on top of her nightstand to figure out the time. It told her that it was already ten thirty in the morning. Chiharu blew out a small sigh and ran a hand through her pink locks. It seemed that she had over thought the time.

The slender female grabbed one last thing before she left her room: a hat that made it look like she had cat ears when she wore it. She licked her lips in anticipation before she left her little apartment. Some found it odd that she was living by herself, but her parents were rarely home. They decided to get their beloved daughter an apartment closer to the school she attended. Besides, Chiharu was a fairly independent young woman. Because of this, she didn't mind being left on her own. The door clicked shut behind her, and she quickly locked it with her key. Then she turned to face the winter wonderland before her. "Uwah!" she exclaimed, her breath showing in the air. Snow was still falling in lazy circles, and the young female reached out to hold the small white fluffs with her hands covered with warm mittens. Already her nose was turning pink as she laughed while standing there. After a few seconds, she pulled out her cellphone and started to text her friend: sorry i'm late! i'll be there soon! keep waiting for me. oh... and i'm going to ambush you!!!!! <3 After the screen told her that her message was sent, she shoved the phone back into the pocket of her warm black peacoat before she was off on her way to meet him. Her heel clad feet clicked softly on the concrete sidewalk as she walked down the street toward the little park that held so many fond memories.

The park was where she had first met her best friend. Chiharu smiled and pulled her scarf over her nose to help warm her face up as she rounded a corner. She was nearly there now. A soft humming sound came from her lips as she entered the park. Now it was time to look for him. She had said that she was going to ambush him. Perhaps he had gone into hiding? The female giggled softly as she rubbed her hands together. "Now where would a boy with dark hair be in this place?" she asked herself out loud. Chiharu gazed around the little park until she saw him. There he was, sitting by himself on a bench. A large cherry blossom tree loomed above him. The bows were covered with snow, and everything looked so picturesque. "I found you." Her voice was muffled by her scarf, but she didn't really need to worry so much. He was too far away in order to hear her.

Now it was time to make her little ambushing plan go into action. Licking her lips, she bent down and picked up a handful of snow. As best as she could, she molded the snow into a ball. In just a few seconds, she had a snowball in her hands. Then Chiharu crept up behind her friend. When she was just a few feet away behind him, she threw the snowball at the back of his head. It hit the side of his head with a wet thud. Chiharu had to break out laughing as she stood there with her hands on her knees. It was just too funny. Seeing that her little attack was over, she walked over to him and leaned over the back of the bench. "Hi! See... I did tell you I would ambush you," she said to the black haired male with a laugh in her voice. Chiharu pushed the hair out of her eyes and tried to look into his eyes to see if he was mad at her. More than likely he wouldn't be mad. He'd just be annoyed. But no one could ever stay mad at her for long; she knew this very well.

Chiharu pushed herself back upright and walked around the bench. Then she flopped down beside him and rubbed her cold nose for a few seconds. "So. Why call me out here on this wonderful snowing day? It felt like it was urgent," she said sincerely. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Her voice started to grow worried. The female reached out and ruffled the male's head playfully before she let her hands rest in her lap. Chiharu kicked out her feet and yawned slightly. A puff of breath floated in the air for a few seconds before disappearing.

"Get up !" No reply. "Choi Mijae!"

The covers slipped off a person who was finally coming around from her deep slumber. A soft yawn passed her lips as she opened her eyes slightly. The cold chill of the winter morning was what really got her up; it wasn't the yelling of her mother. Mijae rubbed her eyes furiously before sitting up in bed. She looked around her small bedroom and let out a sigh. When she tilted her head to the side and saw her clock, she was let out a yelp. "Holy! I'm going to be late for finding jobs!" she yelled in panic. She slammed her feet onto the cold wooden ground of her bedroom and ran over to her dresser. Clothes flew into the air as she tried to find something decent to wear. In the end, she settled in some dark flare jeans, and a collared light blue shirt. Of course she was going to have to wear a coat over all of it since it was decently cold outside. Soft grumbles escaped her mouth as she headed over to her closet to find her last items. When she emerged, she had a black peacoat on that fit snugly on her slender body.

Just when she was going to head out of her bedroom, the door swung open. "Mijae! You're going to be late. I've been trying to call you for the past thirty minutes!" said her irate mother. The elderly woman looked worn down. There were those tell-tale signs of bags underneath her once radiant eyes. Mijae bowed to her mother and muttered an apology. "I'm sorry. I'm going out now though," she said as gently as she could. "I'll make sure to get a well paying job this time." There was a certain melancholy tone in her voice as she spoke to her mother. The young female gazed at her mother's dull brown eyes for a few more seconds before walking passed her. "Mijae...I wish you could fix yourself better. All the boys think you're one of them," muttered her mother as she passed by. The comment stung, but she didn't let herself give in. Now was not the time to argue back at her only parent. Sighing, she left small house via the front door and continued on her way to finding a decent job.

It was true, what her mother had said. Mijae wasn't the type of girl that went around flaunting her looks. In fact, she disliked wearing frilly outfits that would show off her body. She hated it when she had to look pretty by wearing make-up. Those were things she considered fake. Why couldn't she just do what she wanted? Of course it would make her less...girly, but that was the natural way to do things! As she continued to walk, she pulled out a newsboy hat; her eyes stared down at the hat for a few seconds before she reached up to her head and ruffled her short layered hair. Then she placed the hat on her head. "I just want to do what I want to do," she said to herself softly as she continued to walk down the sidewalk. It was true that she looked slightly boyish what with her hair style and the way she dressed, but she didn't mind. It was okay for girls to think she was a boy; after all, she would never stay friends with the girls long enough to get close to them. Her mother moved her constantly, going where there was somewhere to work.

Now she reached into her messenger bag again and pulled out the little article that she had found in the local newspaper. She scanned the page for the section of available jobs she could try to apply for. Her eyes fell on the address that she had circled: Coffee Prince Cafe. "I'll try there first," she told herself, nodding her head. A cafe was just the place for her. One of her hobbies was to bake and made all sorts of drinks for many to enjoy. It always brought the rare smile from her when she saw her neighbors sigh in happiness after eating her goods. Another sigh passed her lips as she pulled the collar of her peacoat closer to her neck to keep warmer. It was in the middle of December, and the weather man had said that snow was going to come sometime this week.

Mijae rounded a corner and looked up at the addresses she walked by. It wouldn't be long until she found the cafe. In fact, it was right across the street now. Her honey colored eyes sparkled when she spotted the quaint cafe. Quickly, she ran across the street, dodging a person on the bicycle before she reached the other side of the road. Then she looked up at the sign and nodded her head. Yup. This was the Coffee Prince Cafe she had heard about. She looked around at the building and saw one male standing off to the side, but she didn't take too much notice of him. After all of this, Mijae walked inside and felt a blast of warm air hit her face. The smell of baked goods filled the air, and she inhaled deeply. "Brioche made with fifty percent fat butter," she muttered to herself. There was one thing about her that made her stand out from all the other people: she had an absolute taste. This meant that all she had to do was taste something and know exactly how it had been made. It was a rare talent, and she wanted to explore her talent in baking with it.

As she stood there, one of the boys working there noticed her. Nam-mi blinked in slight interest as he watched Mijae carefully. He thought she was a boy though. Quickly, he walked over to her and smiled charmingly. "Hello there! What brings you to this cafe?" he asked. As he spoke he tried to peer underneath the brim of Mijae's cap. Mijae lifted her eyes to the young male who had spoken to her and gasped softly. This boy was very attractive! His face was shaped perfectly, and his smile was just amazing. Unfortunately, she didn't have very much experience when talking to boys. "Uh...I was looking for a job," she said quickly. "I heard that this cafe was hiring?" She looked hopefully at the male and gave him a small half-hearted smile. Was this really the person she had to talk to? She looked him over once and confirmed her thoughts. This male was a waiter here. Then she looked around the cafe and saw that all the waiters were male as well. A flicker of doubt started to form in her eyes, but she couldn't think more. Nam-mi has started laughing and patted her on her back. "A little boy like you wants to work here? Really? But hey, I'm sure I can get you a job here. I'll just go ask the manager. Stay right here," he told Mijae. As he walked away, he told her his name. But all Mijae could really think about what that he had just called her a boy.

There was no use in her telling him that she wasn't a guy. He had left already, leaving her alone and standing there in utter confusion. He thinks I'm a boy? she thought to herself. I can't believe this! She stood there slightly irritated but made no motion to do anything about the mistake that the male had made. In fact when he came back, she merely gave him a thin smile. "Boss said that if you're a guy, you can work here. We need the help anyways. Oh...I'm supposed to hand you off to our prince, but I'm not sure where he is..." said Nam-mi while rubbing his chin. Again, Mijae blinked. Only boys could work here? Her eyes widened. Wait. Was this the cafe where only pretty males worked at for the entertainment of females? She glanced around again and saw that there were only young men as waiters. Then she realized that they were all good looking. A soft strangled sound came out of her lips, a sound that Nam-mi misinterpreted.

"Hey! Don't be worried little guy. You'll be a hit. I mean, you have really nice eyes for a guy. They're almost girlish," he said with a grin on his face. "Oh, what's your name? I'll go find Seungtae and tell him that you'll be calling him sunbae for a while now." Once she told him her name, he was off. Before he had left, he gave her a change of clothes and directed her to the bathroom to change. Now Mijae was staring up at the sign of the bathroom. "Men's bathroom," she whispered to herself as she read the sign. She couldn't help but blush slightly. But she had to have this job in order to pay for the expenses back home. Inhaling deeply, she entered the bathroom with a slightly pained face. From now on, she'd just have to bear with being a boy. It wasn't that hard...she hoped.

When she came back out, she was wearing the exact same uniform as did the other men in the cafe. Her short hair had been ruffled a bit, but it only added to the innocent boyish look of hers. Mijae looked around for Nam-mi but realized that he was probably still looking for the guy named Seungtae. She was starting to wonder just who this guy was. He was named the Prince of the cafe. Pursing her lips, she leaned against a table edge and tied her black apron around her waist. All she had to do was wait.

Two weeks of mourning the loss of the one male she loved to no end finally stopped. She wouldn't cry anymore. She wasn't going to just keep on being depressed. After all, wounds healed over time. Scars faded as days passed away. By the end of her crying period, everything was numb. What could she do? He had been the one to say that he wanted to break things off. Mirah Cha was staring out of her window with a blank expression on her face, watching the snow drift slowly to the earth; every few moments she let out a soft sigh that frosted the glass in front of her. With a slender finger she started to write various Chinese characters. Each character didn't really mean anything. She was just trying to wear away the time. "Jin," she whispered the nickname with a melancholy tone. Her thoughts were interrupted by her sound of her parents calling her name. "Cha Mirah!" came the deep sonorous voice of her father. "Naelyeowa!" Come down. The young eighteen year old female inhaled deeply and stood up from her perch on the windowsill. "I'm coming!" she called out in a clear voice. Mirah looked around her large room and suddenly felt the urge to tear everything. "This is all your fault. If only you weren't born into this horribly rich family, then you wouldn't have to worry about losing all that you ever loved," she hissed to no one in particular. She stomped over to her closet and began the long search of finding something to wear before one of the maids came in to help her dress.

Mirah Cha was the daughter of a very wealthy businessman. Her father, Jiwoon Cha, was the proud owner of a fashion designing company, a company well known in Seoul, South Korea. But because of this, Mirah had to live by the standards of the rich. Never could she go without being afraid of the tabloids. Each day was stressful for her since she always had to watch her mouth on whatever she said about her family. Even so, she loved her parents. But this all changed when she met JJ Zhang. When she had met him, she felt as if she didn't need to worry about her manners. It helped that he wasn't some rich snob like the other guys her mother tried to set her up with. She was always at ease with JJ and could laugh as loud as she wanted without having to worry so much. He was the one male who loved her back for who she was, not for how much money she had. Unfortunately, they were not meant to be.

When she had decided to tell her parents about JJ, everything started to shatter. Her mother berated her nonstop. Her father yelled at her consistently. What was the reason? JJ was not rich. He had no title to his name. His parents were not distinguished like hers. All hell broke loose in the Cha family household. The words that her mother repeated over and over to her never left her mind: He's not the boy for you. What good will that street rat do for you? Will he bring you money? Power? Will he bedazzle you with jewels? No. He won't. All he has for you is something called puppy love. It will pass. Let him go. Those harsh words of her mother echoed in her mind those weeks just before JJ told her that he had been cheating on her. Cheating... It was the last thing she had expected, and it shattered her heart into a thousand pieces. How? How could have done such a thing to her? Why would he tell her such a thing? Hadn't they promised that they would never be separated just because her parents got in the way? All of those words were lies.

Mirah came out of her closet fully dressed in warm winter clothes. The high school she attended was lenient in the dress code, one that people didn't see very often. The dark brown haired female wrapped a charcoal gray scarf around her slender neck and looked at her reflection in the mirror for a few seconds. "Money? What happiness does money give a girl? Nothing," she muttered bitterly at her reflection. Mirah turned on her heel and walked out of her bedroom, heels clicking on the beige marble floor. She didn't bother to take notice of the maids that bowed at her presence; it was something she saw every day. When she came down to the foyer, she found her mother and father sitting on a cream colored couch, speaking softly to one another. The words she caught from their mouths made her narrow her gaze. They were talking about the potential male candidate for her to date next. "Ohmaenim. Abeoji," she said in a cold tone. It was her mother who looked up. The mid-aged woman's sharp eyes rested on her daughter for a few moments. "You finally came down. Good. I don't want you to be late. But I don't think you can eat breakfast with us. I've already asked Koomin to give you breakfast in the car. You are excused," said her mother in a cool tone. Mirah stood there in utter shock, but she didn't make an effort to retort back. The black haired woman in front of her was the one that pulled the strings in the family. It was true that her father was the CEO of the company, but her mother was the fox that manipulated the marionette strings. Mirah grumbled out an acknowledgement and turned to leave. "And Mirah? I hope you know that I want you to come straight home from school. I don't want you messing around with a certain boy." And the mother loved to rub salt over fresh wounds.

"Yes mother," answered the daughter in a slightly strangled tone. "I'll be back right on time." Her fists started to ball up, and she grit her teeth hard. After a few moments, she stomped off toward the front door. Once she was outside, she pinched the bridge of her nose hard while she waited for Koomin to bring around the car. There was only just so much that she could take from her mother, and Mirah was at the breaking point. "I hate that witch," she hissed under her breath. The purr of the car caught her attention, and she saw the sleek black Benz pull up to her. Out from the driver seat came the elderly male. He was wearing a tender smile as he opened the back door for her. "Annyeonghaesayo Miss Mirah," he greeted to her. "I made sure to get your favorite dish for breakfast. I know you like mochi." Mirah couldn't help but smile at the older male. Koomin had been the one to help her get out of the house in order to meet with JJ on various occasions. He was like her best friend and confident. "Gamsahabnida. You always make me smile," she said, thanking Koomin as she got into the car.

In fifteen minutes, the car pulled up to the front of the large school. Mirah stared out of the window at the looming buildings of her high school for a few moments before she opened the door on her own. A blast of cold air hit her face, and instinctively, she pulled her scarf over her nose. Winter was always freezing in South Korea, but winter was her favorite time of the year. Snow had always made her smile. But would it bring that smile to her face now? Mirah grabbed her bag from the car and stepped into the gates of the campus. She was early by ten minutes, so she decided to just walk around aimlessly. She knew the campus like it was her own house. There was no way that she would get lost.

The crunch of snow and ice under her heeled boots announced her presence to the rest of the students. All eyes were on her. More than likely, the news of her break up with JJ was already known. And it hurt. Just act cool, she thought to herself. Don't let their stares bother you. But it was easier said than done. All those eyes on her pieced through her like daggers. She could almost hear the thoughts that went through their heads. Mirah closed her eyes for a few moments before she opened them again. When she opened them, she caught the gaze of a group of females. They smirked at her from the distance. Mirah couldn't help it. She glared at them and made a soft snarling nose. Those girls were the ones she despised the most in this school. They were the prep girls of the school; the girls that were in the sports and the cheer squad. Those girls were the ones that loved gossip the most. Mirah shook her head slowly and started walking. When she passed them, she heard the leader of the girls speak up. "I heard that he cheated on her. How cruel! How could anyone want to cheat on our Mirah Cha. After all...what guy doesn't want her for her money," said the lead girl. The comment made Mirah falter in her steps. She looked over her shoulder at the girls and inhaled deeply. "Oh wouldn't you love to be rich like me," she told them. "You all have fake money. Money that was made by the stock market. You'll never be like me." It was a childish comment, but she couldn't take it anymore. At least she had the satisfaction of seeing the leader girl's jaw drop in anger.

Snorting, Mirah walked away. She had to get away. The place she went was the back of the main building. This was the place where she usually met with JJ so that the two of them could be alone without eyes staring at them. It used to be a place where she could smile. Now it was just a place where her heart throbbed in her chest. "I can't do this. I can't do this," she whispered painfully. "I wan't to go back to the past. I want to be with you Jin. Why would you cheat on me?" The word felt odd to her. JJ wasn't the type to cheat. Something wasn't right, and she feared for the real truth. JJ had been worried before. He was poor, and she was rich. How could this every work? But Mirah had always told him that she didn't care if he was poor. All that mattered was that he was always there for her and that he loved her for the girl she was. Now Mirah leaned heavily on the brick wall. Her hand went to her heart, and she pressed hard on her chest. A single tear fell down her cheek and onto the snowy ground, turning into ice. The bell rang, but she didn't go in. She would just go to her first class late. After all...he was there in her first period class, and Mirah wasn't ready to face him still.

Letters. So many letters to answer. It was a never ending job that seemed to be his punishment, but somehow he liked it at the same time. The things people wrote to their loved ones up in heaven were so heartfelt. There were days when he didn't mind this tedious job of his. Right now, the young male was just sealing a letter that he had finished reading. The response was right beside his hand that rested on the small round cafe table where he worked. He was inside of a small cafe that had only special kinds of people working there. If they knew this, he would not know. The cafe attracted those who had strong feelings for the dead. Each person who came in here felt at home because of this. It was also the reason why he could stay here without getting weird looks. Why? Vincent Luciano was an angel, a ghost. Not many people believed him though because the ones he told were the ones that could see him. Only those with strong feelings for the dead could see him. To the ones without feelings for the dead, he wasn't there. Vincent stretched his arms above his head as he looked around for several seconds. Now he was done with his work. All he had to do was go back to the mailbox to pick up the other letters that would have accumulated since his last visit. After that, he could go and send the response letters to their respective owners. The light brown haired male got up from where he was sitting and started to gather up all of the letters. Once he finished, he opened up the dark olive green messenger bag that was almost always strapped around his shoulder. In went the letters. Seeing that he didn’t leave anything behind, Vincent laid a ten dollar bill on the small table to pay for what he ordered. Money wasn’t something of his concern, so he didn’t much care for the change. He nodded to himself before he headed outside of the café.

It was bright outside, but it was to be expected. The sun had risen not too long ago. Asmall sigh passed the male's lips as he felt a light breeze caress his chiseled face. The breeze played with his hair and the feather necklace he wore at all times. The white feather shimmered slightly as he walked down the sidewalk. Some people took notice of him and commented to themselves about how he looked. Then there were others that seemed to not even see him. Either way he didn't really care. Today he had a special business at the mailbox to tend to. His manager had wanted him to take a look at a very special letter that was being dropped off. The manager had told him the letter would be something that he had never encountered before. Curiosity fueled Vincent as he walked across the street. "I wonder what the letter will say," he thought aloud softly. He was slightly distracted that he didn't really see the light turn red while he was walking across another street. Then he felt someone pull his arm back, and he fell backwards onto his bum. A soft exclamation of pain passed his lips, but he looked up at his savior. It was a teenage girl with long flowing blonde hair. The girl smiled at him, and Vincent just kept on staring. She could see him? But he was busy, and didn't have time to get to know this girl. All he did was bow his head and leave. The girl exclaimed something to him, but he didn't stay to find out.

She must have someone that missed a dead person. It was the only reasonable explanation for her being able to see him. A small smile touched the male's lips as he thought of that. Up ahead was the large grassy field. It was odd. This grassy field was located on the outskirts of the city. Vincent could never get over the fact that it even existed. His feet touched the edge of the large field, and he inhaled deeply. The air here was pure, not like the air back in the city. He felt as if he could actually fly here. Vincent walked forward, enjoying the feel of the air on his face. He could see his little mailbox up ahead. It stood there like a beacon; the faded red color was like a beam of light from across the grassy plain. It didn't take him very long to reach the mailbox now. He was totally oblivious to the fact that there was a female standing right beside his mailbox. He just assumed that she wouldn't be able to see him.

Now Vincent reached out. His fingertips touched the mailbox from the behind. A small keyhole appeared where he touched the wood. A smile graced his lips, and he let his hand fall from the mailbox. He moved his hand to his feather necklace and lifted one of the feathers. Then he moved his hand back to the mailbox where the keyhole was. The tip of the feather touched the hole and shimmered. Soon a silver key was in his hands, and he was turning the lock. A small click was heard, and Vincent opened the back of the mailbox. The first thing that caught his eye was the letter right on top of the pile of more letters. Something about this letter gave him ill feelings. Without a word, the young male reached for it and turned it over in his hand. There was a curious look in his eyes as he lifted the piece of paper up to the sky. Finally, he opened it up and began to read it. Slowly, his eyes widened, and he shook his head. What a horrible letter!

Vincent looked to the side where the female was. His eyes were narrowed slightly as he regarded her. So this must be the female who had dropped off the horrid letter. "You didn't have to write such things like this. A dead person deserves to rest, no matter what he or she has done in their previous life. Think about the words you put onto paper before sending it off. You might hurt someone's feelings!" he reprimanded sharply. He got many letters, but most weren't hate letters. In fact, this was his first hate letter. So this was what his manager meant by a 'special letter'. Was he supposed to help this girl get rid of her harsh feelings? This was definitely going to be a had task for him. Vincent sighed and shook his head in aggravation. "Look. You need to calm down. You're definitely not making my task easy at all. I'm already so full up with writing letters back, and now you show up." The male looked directly into the female's eyes and regarded her carefully. This just wouldn't do. If he wanted to get out of this job that he had, he would need to do every single job perfectly. What his manager told him to do had to happen.

He would have to keep a close eye on this girl now, and it was going to give him stress. Sighing, he ran a hand through his slightly messy hair. "Come on. Follow me," he said. He knew that she would follow him. First of all, he just totally told her off. She had to be really mad at her for doing that. Vincent placed the other letter's in his messenger bag before reaching toward the key. In a flash, the key reverted back to being a feather necklace, and he pulled that over his head. Giving the female another look, he started to walk off. Of course, it was up to her to follow him. If she didn't, then he'd still have to watch her.

The car's tires screeched fearfully on the black tar pavement as the male made an effort to turn his sleek black BMW around in a 360 degree revolution. Only one thought was going through his mind: Get out of this situation! What had he done to anger these people? It wasn't his fault that he had seen them when it was at the wrong time. It wasn't his fault that he had to intervene because what he had seen angered him so much that it made his blood boil.

A flash caught his attention, and the male whipped his head around to see headlights in front of him. "Sh**!" he cursed. His foot slammed down on the breaks of his car, and another round of squealing tires filled the night air. Then he hit the gas pedal, zooming in and out of the cars that were chasing him. Pedestrians screamed at him, people yelled profanity at him...but he cared not. He had to live. He had to live in order to see her one last time. "Please...let me live through this! What did I do to deserve this?" he asked. Then something hit his car. It happened all so fast that he couldn't process it. Pain filled his senses as he sat there in his car as it flew into the air and spun once before landing back down on the ground. A soft moan passed his lips, and he sat there in silence for a few moments. He had been hit. And there was something wrong with his arm. He didn't dare look for he knew that it wasn't a sight that he wanted to see at the moment.

The next thing he knew was that he was pulled out from his car in a very rough manner. "Get him out and show him what it means to mess around with us!" said a husky voice. But the voice was familiar to him. The young male looked to the side with his blue eyes that seemed to flash to silver all of a sudden. "You," he snarled at the man wearing all black. "Yes...me! You messed with the wrong person. Now you'll pay." The other male snapped his fingers and two other men stepped out into view. A young girl was in between them, and she wasn't responding to much. He couldn't believe his eyes. The girl was the one girl that he loved. Almost instantly he started to fight back. "Let her go! I'm the one you want, not h__" The sound of a gun shot shut him up. He watched as his love fell to the ground with a bullet through her chest. His mouth fell open, and he gave a strangled sound. This had not just happened. It could not have happened!

"Good bye," said the man in black as he raised his gun and pointed it at him.

Another gun shot rang in the air. Several hours later the sound of sirens filled the air. The next day, it was all over the news. Two young people...dead. The female had a gunshot wound to her heart. The male had a gunshot wound to his head and heart. The deed had been done, but the revenge was still thick in the air. The male would not give up. He would come back. He would come back to haunt the man and his family who dared to hurt the only person precious to him.

Dimitri was sitting on the rooftop of the school. His eyes were closed as he sat there. The male almost looked like he was asleep. But he could never sleep. Never could he rest until his revenge was fulfilled. A soft sigh passed his lips, and his eyes opened slowly. Silver colored eyes flashed as he sat there staring up at the sky. People were scared of him, intimidated by him. But it suited him just fine. There was not a day when he didn't like being alone. It gave him time to think. "I'll avenge you," he muttered to himself as he pushed himself up to his feet.

It was almost ten years now since the accident. He had been cruelly thrown back onto earth. At the time, he had no idea what had happened. Everything felt cold to him, and he couldn't feel. As time passed, he realized that he wasn't alive. He was very much dead, but somehow, he had been able to come back to earth. What was he? Dimitri was a ghost, yet he could be seen and touched by others. His sole purpose? Revenge. In the first year, all he did was wander around aimlessly. It had taken him a while for his memories to come back to him. When they did, he knew what he had to do. He had been given another chance to fight back. Already he had killed some of the people who had harmed him those many years ago. It was too easy. All he had to do was look the information up. Some of the men had gone to jail for various things that they had done and were caught for. Those men were the easiest to kill. All that was left was the one man he detested greatly. This man was going to get the worst punishment possible. He and his entire family was going to suffer, and he was going to relish hearing the yelps of pain.

The bell rang, signalling the end of the lunch period. But he didn't really care much at this point. School was just a cover for him. It was just there so he could keep his sanity. Still, he couldn't be ditching all of his classes. Shrugging, Dimitri started to walk back down the stairs and back to where the seniors had their classes. Already the late bell had rung. When he entered the class, the teacher gave him a glare. "You're late again Mr. Vindictu," said the teacher in an irate tone. Dimitri smiled and shrugged. "So what. I don't really care, and you know it," he said. The male turned around and made his way to his desk that was situated in the back of the classroom. Once he sat down, he kicked up his feet and leaned back in his chair. He cared not to what was going on in the class, and he didn't want to bother. All of this information was old news to him.

Ten years had passed since she had been at the Bath House. Ten years had passed and had slowly erased Chihiro's memories until nothing remained. The young female had now grown into a wonderful young lady. No longer was she the complaining little girl that puffed her cheeks whenever she didn't get her way. No. She was now at the age of twenty-one, and her parents were proud of her. They couldn't have asked for a better daughter that was now enrolled in a prestigious college in the town they lived in.

"Chihiro! Wake up! Sensei is going to yell at you again!"

The brown haired female blinked her eyes open and looked around with slight confusion. Where was...Oh. She was at school. A soft groan passed her lips, and she rubbed her eyes. Lately, she had been so tired. It could be because she always stayed up late reading her little books that told stories of fairies and dragons. "Ah, I'm sorry. I'm awake now. Did he see me?" she asked in a hushed whisper to her friend that sat beside her. Her friend sighed and shook her head. The teacher hadn't seen her sleeping in class yet. This was a good thing. Finally the bell rang, and the two girls were off, arm linked. Chihiro smiled and laughed as her friend poked fun at her for dozing off in literature class. "I can't help it! I'm just so tired these days," she said to defend herself. She sighed and rubbed her eyes again. Maybe she should get more sleep. She looked up as the two of them started to walk up the steep hill that led to the house she had moved into a long time ago. As she stared, she found her eyes starting to drift off to the side where a dark forest-like terrain was.

For some time she felt an attraction to that place. "Hey. Go up ahead without me. I want to go and check something out," she said to her friend before starting to walk off. If her friend had disagreed, she wasn't listening. Determination was in her eyes as she walked into the little pathway covered with weeds. It was clear that there used to be a solid pathway here long ago. She could barely make out the cobblestone pattern of the walkway. Chihiro peered through the dense foliage and pushed away at a large bush. Then she saw it. There was a large archway not far off, and then there was that weird statue standing in front of the archway. As she got closer, her curiosity only grew. Finally she reached the archway and stopped. "Just what is this?" she asked herself out loud. A soft breeze blew at her long brown hair, and she shivered slightly. Without thinking, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a purple shimmering hair-tie. Deep inside her, she felt that the hair-tie was somehow linked to the archway and what lay beyond it. "Well...there's no harm in looking around."

Carefully, she made her way into the archway. It didn't take her very long to step out into the sunlight. When she did, she gasped and her mouth dropped open. Before her lay a large landscape of grass and broken stones. It was absolutely breathtaking to her. "Wow," she breathed. The breeze here was crisp and it even tasted good to her. A smile touched her lips, and she stretched her arms above her head. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something move. And then a bright green frog hopped into her line of sight. Chihiro blinked. Was it just her or did the frog have something around it? She narrowed her eyes and stared at it longer and then realized what it was wearing. The amphibian was wearing a kimono! For a few more seconds she stared at it in shock. And then the thing did something she never expected it to do. It grinned at her, showing pearly white teeth. Then it hopped off.

"Wait!" she called. She ran after it. There was a grinning frog with a kimono on? The idea seemed absolutely blasphemous to her, but the frog was there. It was still hopping in front of her. Several times it looked over to her and grinned, and this spurred her to continue to run after it. Her feet slammed on the soil, and then she found herself running through what looked like old Japanese shops. This was when she realized that she had no idea where she was. Chihiro came to an abrupt stop and huffed. Slowly, she straightened up and brushed down her outfit before looking around. She was now standing at the beginning of a large bridge that led to what looked like a bath house. The sight of it left her breathless. There was something about it that made her heart throb slightly. She raised a hand to her chest and pressed down lightly. This place made her feel nostalgic.
