Welcome to my testing thread. Please do not post here.
Also, please do not steal my work. I cannot express
how irritated I get when people take my layouts. It makes
me want to rip a teddy bear to shreds!
So if you wish to buy a layout, please click my siggie. Or
if you ask nicely I might just let you use my coding.
                                    Thank chu!!

There were times when a girl wanted freedom, and there were times when a girl just wanted to let loose. This all slams together when the girl was born to an ultra-rich family that owned three major corporations in South Korea. Nana Kim was just this girl. But she was a daughter that her parents wished would obey rules and etiquette. Nana wasn’t a girl that liked to follow rules. In fact, she broke them purposely. She hated living like a prim and proper princess when she wanted to have fun. In some sense, she was the worst possible rich girl. Her personality was one that some feared. Nana was rebellious, spoiled and persuasive; and this was a deadly combination. Sometimes she just wished that she was born into a family that wasn’t so rich. Everything that she did was reported to her mother and father. All of the things she did were thing that her parents detested. Nana loved to party hard, and when she couldn’t party at her place with her other rich friends, she partied at local bars and nightclubs. Her mother’s friends looked upon Nana as a dirty thing. Her mother repeatedly begged her to act like a prim girl. Sometimes she obeyed and other times she just rolled her eyes and did what she wanted. It was hard to be who she was, and she made sure that people knew it.

When the sun was starting to set in the horizon the black haired girl was fluffing herself up for the nightlife. Her parents had left on a business trip a week ago, and today was the last night she’d get to have fun. Nana stared at herself in the mirror, looking at her outfit with careful eyes. She was wearing tank top like shirt that had rhinestones all along the straps. The base of her top was black and dark gold. A large black ribbon was tied around her slender waist to accent off her shirt. She wore khaki colored shorts with a studded black belt. To top things off, she was wearing gold and black bracelets that were pushed up to her forearm. The last thing she needed to do was to put on the makeup. Once she was done, the female headed out of her large bedroom and into the hallway. Her black, silver zippered boots clicked on the marble floor as she walked; her hips swayed to and fro ever so slightly to give her walk a feline quality. “Oi! I hope my ride is out there waiting for me. We wouldn’t want to lose a paycheck, do we?” she called out in her melodic voice. Nana rounded a corner and saw the line of maids that were positioned on either side of the hallway. All of them had their heads bowed, not making eye contact with her. A feeling of satisfaction spread across her senses as she slowly walked down the corridor. Every few seconds she stopped to stare at an unfortunate maid. When she reached the end of the line she stopped and turned around. Her foot tapped on the marble floor as she began to speak. “I shall be home late tonight. If any one of you tells me off to my parents when they come home tomorrow, a punishment will be enforced,” she said in an icy tone. The maids shivered in their spots as they quickly nodded their heads. Seeing that her words were instilled in their minds, Nana turned around and walked outside of the door.

Her ride was a shiny black motorcycle that shimmered under the lighting of the large house she lived in. A man wearing dark shades walked up to her and held out a hand. In his hand were the keys to the motorcycle. Nana took the keys and shoved them into the ignition before she hopped onto her ride. The engine purred to life and in a few seconds she was off. The wind played with her long black hair as she swerved to and fro on the road to avoid slow cars. Her destination was a night club called Myth. It didn’t take her very long to reach the neon blue building. Cutting the engine after she found a parking space, Nana pocketed her keys and walked up to the front of the line. She didn’t care to wait. Some people glared at her and made rude comments, but she just tossed her head and smiled icily at them. Then she turned to the guard and flashed a brilliant smile. “Annyung. I’m Nana Kim. I already have a VIP card,” she said while taking out the card that would allow her to go in. The guard took the card and scrutinized it before returning it back to Nana. He motioned for her to go inside.

When she did go inside, the flashing lights blinded her slightly. She stood there off to the side blinking a few times before she got used to the lights that changed colors every minute or two. A soft happy sigh passed her lips as she walked toward the bar. What she needed was a nice cold margarita. The female found a seat to sit on and quickly scanned the menu. Her eyes stopped at a drink called Indigo Lust, and she nodded her head. Lifting her eyes from the menu, she looked around for the bartender. She hated waiting, but it seemed that the club was a little short on bartenders. All of the ones on the floor were making drinks for various customers. Nana coughed loudly and tapped her fingers on the polished wooden bar stand as she waited for someone to come to her. “What lousy service,” she muttered under her breath as she looked around her. Males and females were dancing closely to one another as the DJ cranked up another song. After she drank her fill, she’d probably go and join them. Already she had spotted a lone male across the dance floor that struck her fancy. Her attention went back to the bar stand when she realized that no one had come to her yet. In annoyance, she reached out and rang the little bell five times before she settled back into her chair. Her mood was starting to turn very dark now.

Whoever was to serve her was going to probably get a sharp tongue when he or she did come. Nana was known for back-talking, and she would not stop fighting until she had won the argument. Fortunately for whoever was going to serve her, the man she had set her eyes on made his way over to Nana and sat down next to her. When he did, Nana saw that the man was actually quite drunk. This was one major turn-off for the raven haired female. "Eww. Do you even know what a breath mint is?" she asked the man with a grimace on her face. "Get lost!" Her comment startled the man with messy tousled hair. His eyes narrowed for several seconds as he debated whether or not to bother with her. Eventually he gave up and walked away. Feeling a bit of relief, Nana turned back to the bar stand and waited more. Her dark brown eyes looked at each of the bartenders very carefully. Finally she could take it no more. "Hey. Is this what you call good service? Seriously, I'm about to just go to the other night club down the street. Get moving!" At her words, a bartender looked up from what she was doing. The woman gave her a weary answer, "I'm sorry, but we're running low on employees. I'm sure one of us will get to you sooner or later. Though, there was that one boy... I think his name was Kwan Yang..." But she was cut off by Nana. "Look, I don't want excuses. Get moving!" she snapped angrily. The woman quickly looked away and went back to what she was doing. This left Nana still angry and frustrated.

The young man with shocking yellow hair rose from his comfortable bed in his small house not far from his gym. Outside, the stars stilled glittered their last light for the night. He usually liked to rise early from bed. Today was just another day for him. A soft yawn escaped his lips, and the male ran a hand through his bed hair. With a final rub to the eyes, Volkner slipped off his futon and onto the cold hardwood floor of his bedroom. "Looks like today is another day," he said softly. His eyes went to his six pokeballs that rested on a black belt by his bed. Four of the pokeballs contained his best electric type pokemon: Raichu, Luxray, Jolteon, Ampharos. The other two pokeballs had two non electric pokemon that he sometimes used to battle trainers outside of his gym. The ones in those two pokeballs were dragon type, Dragonair, and a water type, Lapras. Being an electric gym leader, he didn't really like water types. But he had to admit that they did have their perks when he had to go and surf to various places. His dragon pokemon didn't know how to fly just yet. Volkner smiled and got off the cold floor and stretched his arms above his head before getting down to his daily routine.

After some time, the male changed out of his pajamas and into his outfit which consisted of a simple v-necked black shirt, a blue blazer with yellow buttons running down the sleeves, and some black slacks. Just when he finished, one of his pokeballs opened, and a white flash filled his room. His very first pokemon popped out and barreled into him with enough speed to push him down onto his bed again. "Raichu!" exclaimed Volkner as he chuckled on the bed. His favorite pokemon was on his stomach looking as happy as ever. "Rai, rai! Raichu, chu!" it said with energy in its voice. The yellow haired man smiled at his mouse pokemon before gently pushing it off his stomach. "Come on. We have a lot of things to do today. I bet there are more trainers waiting outside of my gym to challenge me." His tone was a little bored. Lately, there hadn't been many trainers that had really caught his attention. All of his matches ended fairly quickly, and he only used one pokemon. It bothered him that no trainer had enough spirit to challenge his prowess. As he went out of the house he lived in, his thoughts went back in time to the one girl that had actually shocked him.

The girl's name was Dawn, and she was a girl to remember. It didn't take her very long to overpower his electric type pokemon. She had a good solid plan to knock out each of his pokemon. The battle he had with her was one that was forever ingrained into his mind. More than likely the female was finished challenging the Elite Four. There was no doubt that the girl was good, but there was something that didn't settle in with him about her. Shrugging, Volkner looked around before setting off to his gym. Along the way, he spotted someone at the pier. Odd. Not many people stopped by that way. Most left the pier to get to the Elite Four. He turned heel and started to walk to the person he had spotted; his Raichu walked along side him faithfully. When he was close enough to identify the person, his eyes widened. "Dawn? Is that you?" he called out. It was indeed Dawn. There was no mistake. The white beanie and crimson red scarf she wore was something that one didn't see very often in a town full of yellow hues, white hues, and blue hues. "Hey! It is you! What are you doing back in Sunyshore so early?" he asked as he walked up to her. Then he saw something on the female's face that stopped him in his tracks.

The girl looked like she was sad. Perhaps the Elite Four challenge hadn't been what she would have liked. Volkner stood there for several seconds before deciding to sit down next to her. Quickly, he plopped down beside her, crossing his legs criss-cross style. His Raichu followed suit, mimicking Volkner to perfection. "Hey now. What's wrong? Was Flint too hard on you? I told the guy to be nice for once," he said, trying to be funny. Flint and he were pretty close friends. The two of them had grown up together, but fate made them separate paths at an early age. Flint had gone on a journey whereas Volkner decided to become the next gym leader of Sunyshore City. Volkner tried to peer into Dawn's eyes but wasn't very successful at it. Soon he gave up and just leaned back a little as he watched the last star fade into the sunrise. Clearly the girl was upset, and he knew why. More than likely Dawn hadn't won against the Elite Four. Chances were that she couldn't get past the third match. A small sigh passed his lips as he sat there with almost nothing to say. Leave it up to his pokemon to do things better than he.

Raichu got up from where it was sitting and walked over to Dawn. It plopped down right in front of her and patted her knee with its brown paw. "Rai, rai?" it questioned, trying to get Dawn to smile. Without warning, the electric pokemon slapped its own cheeks and started to pull its cheeks out a little. It was a very comical sight that made Volkner laugh right at the start. "Come one Dawn. I'd like to have a rematch with you. Remember what I told you when you defeated me not too long ago? I said that I would get better. So battle me!" he said as enthusiastically as he could. The young man scrambled to his feet and smiled. He held out a hand for Dawn to take as he waited for her to respond. No trainer could resist a battle against a gym leader.

Winter. It was absolutely her most favorite season of the year. She loved to dress up in warm clothes that hugged her slender body. Scarves were a must! She found it amusing to watch the snowflakes drift down in that lazy pattern of theirs. Winter was the most magical time of the year for her. She had always wanted to find her first love in winter. Everything about winter was so mesmerizing. And then there was the ice rink. All her friend said that she was born to skate. Ever since she was small, she loved skating in that little lake that was located in the center of the large park. Every time winter came around with the introduction of snow, she always found a way to make time to go to the frozen lake. It didn't matter if she was with friends or not. Now the female was skating in lazy circles to warm up. She rubbed her gloved hands together as she skated around. Her friends watched her with amused smiles on their faces. "Hunny, why don't you show us your moves?" called out one of her friends playfully. Hearing this, Hunny looked over her shoulder and smiled. Her blue eyes that seemed to change shades of blue with her mood glanced over her shoulder to find the eyes of her many friends that stood at the bank of the river in a small cluster. A soft peal of laughter came from her lips, and she shook her head. "There's no rush to show off!" she called back cordially. Hunny did a small twirl where she was and then crossed one foot in front of the other to propel herself back to her friends. Her dark gray scarf fluttered behind her as she made an abrupt stop before her the closest female. Quickly, Hunny took her friend's hand and tugged the blonde haired female forward with her. The blonde female let out small shriek, thinking that she was going to fall. Her free hand waved around crazily as she struggled to regain her balance. Hunny laughed and then skated forward and helped her friend get her balance back. "Don't fall down now. It would hurt a lot to fall on this ice," she said sincerely. "Of course you would know. You practically live on the ice when winter strolls around," said the blonde sarcastically. The remark made Hunny smile. The female pushed herself backward and twirled around again.

While she skated around, she fixed her little hat that threatened to fly off her head if she tried to move too fast. The hat was one that her grandmother had made for her. It almost looked like Hunny had small cat ears on her head. The dark gray color accented Hunny's pink hair. The female looked forward as she skated around a couple. It was going to be a very fun day for her. She felt like she could almost be flying right now. Her sharp skates helped her glide over the ice perfectly. There was never a time that she had been thrown off guard on ice. She rarely even lost her balance. Hunny decided that it was time to get down to the more complicated moves. Once again she looked over her shoulder at her friends. "Slow pokes!" she called out to them. The little comment seemed to do the trick. Indignant sounds filled the air, and soon her friends were skating, showing off complicated moves that made some of the more inexperienced skaters a little intimidated. Hunny closed her eyes for a few seconds while letting herself glide over the ice. Then she lifted one leg backwards. Her arms were held up in the air. It was like she was a ballerina on ice. She glided around the lake for a few minutes before she brought her leg back down on the ice. Then she abruptly stopped herself on the ice with the toe pick on her skate. Something felt off to her. She swore that she felt like someone was staring at her. The pink haired female glanced around the lake and couldn't find the person. Shaking her head, she rubbed her hands over her arms slightly to bring back some warmth to them. Then she pushed herself forward.

This time she started to gather speed on the ice. Every so feet she jumped into the air, landing with a small click, before she began her routine. It was like she was dancing. At one point she spun into the air quickly and landed on the ice still spinning. After spinning for a few more seconds, she came to a slow and lazy stop. Her breath was coming a little more quickly than before, but she was having fun. The cold made her face have a rosy glow, and her nose was slightly red now. Behind her, her friend came to a stop. "Wow. You never cease to amaze me. Look! You made all the hot guys stare at you!" exclaimed her friend enviously. Hunny laughed and looked around. Indeed the guys were staring at her. A small shiver ran through her slender body, and she shook her head slightly. Maybe she outdid herself a little too much this time around. "You know that I won't fall in love that easily," she said lightly before taking off again. This time she was skating backward. She should have been a little more attentive, but she was having too much fun. In just a few moments she felt her body hit another. A soft yelp passed her lips as she felt herself lose her balance.

But just before she went down, she found herself in another person's embrace. Her hand was being held by warm ones, and there was another placed on the small of her back. Hunny blinked with slight confusion, and she looked upward. She found herself staring into emerald green eyes for a long time before she found her voice. Just when the male apologized so did she. Hers came out in a small stammer. "S-so sorry!" she said quickly as she continued to stare into those mesmerizing green eyes. After a few seconds, she found her balance and righted herself with the male's help. "It's not your fault. I wasn't watching where I was going," she said to answer his second comment. A small smile touched her lips as she listened to him introduce himself. The pink glow on her face darkened considerably when she saw him lean forward and whisper to her. Quickly she moved backward and shook her hands in front of her. "No, no! I'm quite alright! My name's Hunny," she said as smoothly as she could. The pink haired female crossed her arms under her chest and inspected whom she had just bumped into. The male looked around her age. He had messy red hair on top of his head and had those mesmerizing eyes that instantly brought her blue ones up to it. "You don't look very familiar," she commented suddenly. In this small town, she almost knew everyone around. Hunny looked thoughtful as she tilted her head to the side.

A soft yawn passed her lips as she woke up from her slumber. The female grumbled unhappily as she looked around her cluttered bedroom. "Same old, same old," she muttered as she flipped the covers off of her body. Hunny Tournio was the daughter of a very famous architect, but she tried very hard to keep that a secret. This was because she knew she would never look the part. The young girl stood up from her bed and started to walk around the mess of clothes on the ground along with various other artifacts of things. A small sigh passed her lips, and she walked out of the bedroom and into the large courtyard before her. The fresh air filled her senses, and she inhaled deeply while running a hand through her very messy hair. "I wonder if I can land a job today," she muttered as she scratched her flat stomach for a few seconds. There were days like this when she loved living alone. Her dear friend had just moved out of this traditional style home since she had just gotten married to an accountant at the bank she worked at. Now it was just Hunny in the home that her father had built for her late mother.

Thinking about her mother always brought tears to the female's eyes. "Mother...are you happy with me?" she asked to the sky as she gazed up at the blue expanse. Hunny averted her gaze and then stared across the courtyard at the empty room where her friend once roomed in. "Maybe it's time for me to rent it out. I know that someone is supposed to come today." The female scratched her mess of hair on her head before heading toward the bathroom to take the first shower of the week. She did have an excuse for not taking showers. Hunny was always busy in her little workshop, making little trinkets to sell. Of course she was never very good at selling her things, so most of the chairs she had made or various other equipment were still in the working room. Hunny entered the bathroom and turned on the shower before stripping down on the spot to get in the tub. Her discarded clothes and underwear lay asunder as she stepped into the shower to let the warm water caress her skin.

After a few minutes of the shower, she was out and sitting on the porch with only a towel around her slender body. A blow dryer was in her other hand, and she plugged the chord into the wall, clicking it on. Hunny proceeded in drying her long mane of hair while humming a very tuneless melody. She had barely heard someone knocking on the door. The female furrowed her eyebrows and turned of the blow-dryer. Wait. She had just heard someone knock on the door. Was the person who was supposed to come here?! Her eyes darted to the clock that hung at an angle on the wall to confirm what the time was. Then her eyes widened in surprise. "Oh shoot! It's already eleven?!" she gasped. Her outcry would probably be heard by whoever was outside the gates.

Jumping up from where she was sitting, she threw the blow dryer onto the couch behind her and ran back to her bedroom where she could get dressed. After five minutes she was back out, wearing sweat pants and an over-sized t-shirt. Yes. Hunny really didn't have any concepts about fashion. She just wore whatever she felt like wearing. Such was the problem when she went out for dates. She never tried to 'dress up' for the occasion. "Ahh!!! I'm coming! I'm coming! Hold on!" she yelled across the courtyard in the direction of the door. Right before she swung the door open she realized that her hair was still probably a mess since she hadn't the time to brush it. Sighing and shrugging she shook her head. Did that really matter? Hunny swung the door open and found herself face to face with an attractive looking male specimen. Her eyes were wide-open now as she stared at him. But then she saw the pink scarf he wore. Is he...gay? she thought at first. Coughing slightly she made way for the male to come in. "Uhm...welcome to my house. Please excuse my being late. I just got out of the shower. You wanted to see the room right?" she asked quickly.

She motioned for the male to come in. What a sight he must have seen. The entire house was literally a mess. But if he had a sharp eye, he would be able to see the beauty behind the dirt and clutter. Hunny had some laundry out drying in the trees, and various trash littered the floor. She smiled as best as she could as she fiddled with a lock of her hair. "As you can see...I'm in the middle of wanted a new roommate. I can tell you that I'm nineteen..." she trailed off slightly. Wait. Was she really offering a room to a boy? But he was wearing a pink scarf! Not all normal boys would wear a pink scarf that looked exactly like a female would wear. Hunny furrowed her eyebrows as she examined him. This was when she realized that she hadn't introduced herself. "Oh...I'm Hunny Tournio by the way," she said quickly and nonchalantly. She hoped that he wouldn't recognize her last name. But it was a hard thing to do. Who didn't know the famous Rafael Tournion?

There were legends about the asylum where so many horrible things happened. The horrors of life originated in the hospital where the crazed would be taken for rehabilitation. But they weren't taken care of. No. Each day was painful. Each day was filled with screams of those who had lost their minds. The asylum wasn't what people thought it was. People just deemed that the mental hospital was one where the mental were taken care of in the most kindest way. How wrong they were. How wrong they were...Not one patient came out of the asylum. Once you were in you went even more mad. Lies and pain shrouded the austere looking building that was bordered with sharp pointed wires to keep the patients from escaping. It was living hell on earth. After a while, the large castle-like building started to break down. Years had done a lot to the asylum, and the people of the town wanted to place a living space on the once asylum. The city tore down most the asylum with its barbed wire gates and placed an apartment complex on the grounds.
                                              ----------------------------------------xxxxxx----------------------------------------
An alarm clock ringing beside his bed woke the young male up. Disoriented, he flopped out of his double sized bed and onto the cold ground. A shocked sound passed his lips as he quickly pushed himself off the cold ground and back onto his warm and inviting bed. He blinked and rubbed his eyes as he tried to get the sleep out of them. Then he slammed his hand down onto the annoying alarm clock. Today was the big day. He was moving out of the shoddy apartment he was living in and moving into another with a very close friend of his, Sienna. Rafael Louie Forella was the prominent son a of very successful businessman, but he chose to go off on his own path. Because of this, his father had disowned him when he graduated high school. But Rafael didn't care very much. He disliked the prim ways of living with maids tending to his every need. Sometimes he wanted to do something. His mother begged him to get forgiveness from his father, but Rafael didn't care. He loved freedom, and he would get it. Right before he left, his mother had set up a bank account for him if he ever needed money to help him. It had been two years, and he had never touched the account once. A yawn passed his out he stretched his arms before standing up to do some stretches. His eyes flickered over to the clock again, and he nodded his head. "She wanted me to meet her at the new place at ten. I think I have enough time until then to get some food in me," he said to himself. In truth, he didn't have that much time. The young adult had gotten up at nine in the morning. He was known to be late though.

After dressing up in his daily outfit, he made sure that all his things were packed away in a duffel bag and some roller suitcases before he walked out of his really small bedroom and into the kitchen that lay adjacent to his bedroom. Rafael ruffled his messy, light brown hair and smiled as he grabbed something to eat from the almost empty pantry. There wasn't a day that he missed the rich and easy life. The life he now led was perhaps a hard one, but he didn't mind. His personality wouldn't let him down. He was going to major in medicine in the college he was to attend. The male whistled a tuneless song as he sat down to eat his cereal dry. The milk had expired a week ago, and he didn't have the time to go and buy a new one. Once he finished his breakfast, he let out a happy sigh and threw the plastic bowl into the trash. Checking his phone, he saw that he had ten minutes left. There was no way that he'd be able to make it. An aggravated sound passed his mouth as he slumped in his chair. Somehow, he was going to have to break his habit.

Shaking his head, Rafael opened his phone and started punching out a text to Sienna:
                                              Quote:
                                              To: Sienna
                                              From: Raffie
Hey! I woke up late. Sorry, but I think I'm going to be a bit late for our appointment. Go on inside before me. I don't want to keep you waiting. I'll find the room, no sweat. Again, sorry!

He pressed the send button and then hoped that she wouldn't be that mad at him. Who knew the rage of Sienna? Shuddering, he took out the trash and then finally got his things out of the apartment. When he was outside, he looked at his door with a forlorn look. He had lived here for a long time now. But it was time for him to leave and move into a living space that was more...livable. The key to the apartment was in his hand, but it was time to give it back to the landlord. With his things in hand, he went up to the front office and rang the little bell that alerted the person behind the desk. The elderly man smiled at him before taking the key. "You will be missed around here Rafael," said the man with a smile. Rafael smiled back. "It's time for me to leave. My friend will take care of me though. She's a good person." With a small wave, he went out to his car, a 1995 BMW that he had actually bought with the money he had earned while working as a waiter at the local cafe. He opened the back doors quickly and stuffed his things inside before sitting in the driver's seat. He sat there for a few seconds before nodding his head. "Well...time to see what this place is. Sienna had said it had history. I wonder what type of history," he murmured as he revved up the old engine.

It took him fifteen minutes to find the new apartment complex. His eyes were wide when he saw it. It had been a long time since he had seen something this nice. Memories of his house flooded back into his mind, and he bit his lip lightly. He couldn't remember the last time he had talked to his mother. After sitting in his car, he finally got out. For now he could leave his things inside the car. First he had to find Sienna. When he turned to face the new complex, a sudden shiver ran down his back. He rubbed his arms and then furrowed his eyebrows. There was a weird feeling he was getting, but he shook it off. "Find Sienna," he muttered under his breath as he stood there for a few more moments.

Rafael walked toward the front doors of the apartment complex and went up to the front desk. He peered over and saw an old woman hunched over something. He coughed softly, and the woman looked up. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she rolled her eyes. "You here for something?" she asked him in an unfriendly tone. "Uhm...I'm going to be moving in here. I've already paid the first installment a week ago, and they called me to move in today. My friend should have come before me. I'm late," he explained. The old woman merely yawned and coughed into her hand. It sounded like she had a frog in there, and Rafael had to make sure he didn't run away from disgust. The woman eyed him again and then pointed to the elevator on the opposite side of the lobby. "Your room is on the thirteenth floor...oh sorry, the fourteenth floor. No one likes it when the floor is called thirteen even if it really is thirteenth," said the woman. Since he was eager to get away, Rafael nodded his head and then went toward the elevator quickly. He was glad when it stopped on the 'fourteenth' floor. The doors opened, and he looked around for his friend.

Loud screams echoed in the night when the clock struck midnight. There was a full moon hanging up in the air. Small and dark clouds hung like fog as they floated across the starry sky. Silence ensued for a few minutes before the screams started up again, piercing the cold. Soft pitter-patters of shoes hit the cement sidewalk as she ran as fast as she could. It seemed that she could never get away from what was chasing her. Whenever she stopped to catch her breath, she heard something get closer and closer to her. This spurred her to continue to run again. Oxygen burned in her chest as she tried to inhale air as she ran. Tears started to streak down her porcelain face as she struggled to keep running. Finally, she came to a stop at the entrance of a large cemetery. This cemetery was the largest one in London, spanning a good several acres. Anyone could get lost in there without being noticed. Anyone could get killed in there without being noticed.

The female couldn’t stand it anymore. There was no way that she could stay out in the open. With shaking hands she opened the creaky iron-wrought gates of the cemetery before slipping inside. Behind her, footsteps became louder and louder. Quickly, the dark haired female looked behind her, trying to see who her pursuer was, but there was no one there. A shudder ran down her slender body as she tried to reason with herself. There was no one there. It was just her imagination. But then she heard a twig snap behind her, and she let out another shrill scream before running again. There was definitely someone there. Whoever it was wanted her to be scared. But what had she done so wrong? She didn’t deserve this. Pleads came out of her lips as she continued to run. Her throat burned with the need for water, but she ignored the pain. Her life was on the line, and she knew it well. All she could do was keep on running until she survived…or died. Just as she thought this, her foot caught on a raised tree root, and she went falling headfirst into the moist dirt. Her Victorian style dress was already tearing around the hem, and when she struggled to get upright, her skirt started to tear up her leg. The poor girl whimpered with pain when she saw that she had also cut her palms. More pleas came from her lips as she lay there quivering with fear. The footsteps only grew louder and louder. It wouldn’t be long until whoever was stalking her came. All hope was starting to tumble down into the soil as she tried to accept her doom.

Then it happened. From behind her, someone slammed a knife into her back, piercing her heart as fast as a viper struck its prey. Blood streaked the front of her white dress, staining it crimson in no time. She wasn’t prepared for this, so her body went into shock. She couldn’t feel the serrated blade that was protruding from her chest now. The tip of the blade gleamed silver and red as the moon’s rays shone down on it. A gurgle of pain came out of her lips as she looked at the horrible thing. Just as quickly as it had struck, the blade came out of her chest and then everything went black.

In the news was an obituary for a young girl, not older than the age of seventeen. Her name was on the headlines: Vivaldi Scoriella. She had been the daughter of a prominent aristocrat that had fallen prey to bribery and fraud. Her death was marked by these words: killed in the cemetery. The young girl had several lacerations running all along her body. One wound was especially eye catching. There was definitely something that had pierced the poor girl’s heart from behind. What was interesting was that she had no heart. It seemed to have been taken from the body by whoever killed her. Further investigation will be needed.

The news of the party spread like wild fire. A very rich boy who was very well known for his killer looks and sexy ways was hosting it at the local cemetery. What made him do that was beyond many. But there were others that felt a little disconcerted about the party. There were legends about the cemetery that weren’t very good. One in particular scared the hearts of many. It was about a young female that was viciously killed near the gates of the cemetery by a hemlock tree. Her body had been lacerated with many knife wounds. Her heart was missing from the body, and she had various other wounds that would cause any person to shudder at the thought of how the girl died. It must have been a slow and painful death. The legend tells of the girl whose soul would come back every night to haunt those that did not believe in ghosts. It would also haunt those who might have a connection to who killed her. The ghost also killed once every month. The way she killed was to stab her victim in the chest before taking the heart. Some thought it absurd, but there were some killings that involved the victim to lose his or her heart. It always happened at night when the moon was full. Legends were dark in this town in England.

When the time for the party came, a young female dressed in a killer outfit that was all black walked into the cemetery. The female had raven black hair that was pulled up in a loose style. Loose Victorian ringlets of hair framed her pale face, falling around her slender shoulder perfectly. Her heels clicked steadily on the pavement that led toward the main party. All around her, the guests stopped and stared. To them she was a rare beauty that pulled off the dark look with grace. A small smirk was on her features as she made her way to the center of the party. The little black hat on her head didn't even slip off from the precarious tilt it was on her head. A young male with dirty blonde hair stepped in to intercept her walking. He was grinning from cheek to cheek as he gave her a bow. "Good evening. Welcome to my best friend's party! I hope you'll like it here," he said goofily. "My name's Brandon Tourio." The female looked up at the Brandon with her dark grey eyes and smiled. "I do so hope that this party won't be the death of some," she spoke with a lilting voice. She reached upwards and touched the male's cheek with a cold hand. After a few seconds, she let her hand fall from his face to give him a seductive smile with her pale lips.

The male blushed a deep red before coughing into a gloved fist. He motioned for her to follow him so that he could introduce her to the host of the party. The female smiled and nodded her head as she followed Brandon to where another tall and dignified looking man was. Her eyes rested on the female beside the other man, and she tilted her head to the side slightly. A sudden chilly breeze came around the group, blowing the dark female's hair around her slightly. When the wind had blown her hair a bit, a long scar that ran from the side of her neck to the place where the corset touched under her arm appeared. But just as it appeared it was gone. "Julian!" said Brandon with enthusiasm. "Look what I found! She's a dashing young girl, isn't she? She speak like she was in the Victorian age. Dude, you really did well to do the theme around here. Oh, before I forget... let me introduce you to__" Here he was cut off by the female wearing all black. "I'm Vivaldi Scoriella. Pleasure to meet you," she said with a thin smile on her lips. Her eyes were on Julian, and she watched him like a predator watched its prey.

“You promised to give me back to my father if he gave you the gold and jewels!” she screamed at the hefty pirate in front of her. “You gave your word to him!” Tears were streaking down her lovely face. Her alluring brown eyes glared at the man before her. The young duchess couldn’t believe her eyes at this man’s horribleness. He wasn't going to give her back. The man didn’t answer her and merely slew the messenger that had come with the ransom money. Blood spurted everywhere on the deck from the cut the larger man made on the young boy’s neck. As if this wasn’t enough, the pirate captain ran his saber through the messenger’s chest. A scream of fear filled the air as the young duchess made a move to cover her eyes. Now more tears were sliding down her chiseled face. How could this have happened to her? How had her life become so horrifying? The female shook as she lifted her face to the man she despised most. If only she knew how to fight, she would try her best to get away from this man. Alas…females were never taught the ways of the sword or gun. She was entirely powerless from this pirate captain who now grinned wickedly down at her slender form.

The older man crouched by her and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look into his black pools of eyes. "I lied? You know nothing about the ways of pirates lassie. I never intended to give back such a thing as yourself. You are a jewel that no pirate would give up," he told her. His breath smelled like rum, and the female wrinkled her nose in distaste. Even if she was in a bad position, she wouldn't give up in fighting back. Her personality wasn't going to allow it. The female gathered up her courage and spat in the man's face. A growl passed the captain's lips, and he raised a hand. A loud slapping sound filled the air and was followed by a thunk of a body hitting the floor. The duchess whimpered in pain from the blow to her face. If her wrists weren't bound behind her, she would have raised a hand to her cheek to try to help the stinging calm down. She lifted her head from the cold wooden floor of the deck and watched the man walk to her and pick her up roughly by her hair. Soft cries of pain passed her lips as she struggled to get away from him. "Yer never going to escaped my ship. Yer bound to me and my crew. Now let's have al little fun shall we?" Those words made her struggled hard. But none of it would work.

By the next day the female had been deflowered in the most horrible fashion. She was left on the captain's bed, staring at the rafters above her with clouded eyes. Her clothes had been torn asunder, leaving her naked and bare. Various marks covered her porcelain skin from the beatings she had been given in order to make her more submissive. This wasn't the only night she would be used. Every night after was a nightmare to her. Was there to be no hope for the young female?

                                            --------------------------------------------------------------------

All Opal could do was bear with the hurt and pain of the days she spent in her little room. Her life had already been destroyed; nothing left of her was pure. Two years. Two horrible years of living on the hell hole of a pirate’s hip had broken her will, torn her mind to pieces that already had scattered into the wind. Every single day was torture for the once duchess. Every night she was subjugated for the fancies of the pirates on the ship. Her only reprieve was morning when the men left her alone to cry to herself. She used to be beautiful. She used to be the jewel of her country. But what was she now? She was dirty, bruised and battered, and erased from the minds of her people. Who would recognize her now?

She looked around her cell and turned her head slowly to the sound coming out of her enclosure. The voices sounded like her 'caretakers'. Opal kept on staring at the door, willing it to open so she could glare at the men who were in charge of her. Two years on this ship had made her into a monster of some sorts. The girl she used to be had been erased. She was no longer a sweet thing with an air of purity about her. Then she heard what she wanted to hear. The door to the room opened and she found herself watching two men smirk at her. The man with the cleft lip was the one who came to her first. He went by the name of Steig. How the male had gotten the cleft lip was something Opal didn't really care for. "Well, well, well. Look at our little princess. She looks like she wants to have some fun this night," said Steig with a glimmer in his eyes. "Captain won't like yer thoughts, Steig. He specifically told us to get money offa the female," said Ghinzo warily. The last thing any of them wanted was to get lashed for disobedience by their captain.

Opal watched the two men banter before Steig came up to her and grabbed the metal collar around her neck. She coughed hoarsely as she felt the pressure on her airway but didn't say anything to them. There was a certain spark in her brown eyes that betrayed her hate for them. Steig saw this and chortled before he dragged her toward the door. It was hard for her to walk considering the amount of bruising along her slender legs. "Don't touch me," she managed to gasp out. Her weak outcry just made the two men laugh harshly at her before one of them slapped her across the face. "Shut yer trap. If you don't we'll just have a little fun with you right here and right now! How'd you like that, wench?" hissed Steig. "I'm sure you don't want to go through the little process again do you? I know you hate it. It's painful, isn't it?" The process he was talking about was something she had to go through every time a man used her. It was to ensure that she didn't get pregnant with any of their kin. She would be worthless if she got pregnant. But the process they were talking about wasn't really effective. She was barren, unable to conceive a child. The captain of the ship had forced her to eat some sort of herb that made her that way. But no one else knew this. The captain had just wanted to see her scream in pain.

It took a while in order to make her get to the destination for the night. This was because the men had to get her dressed for the part. They tied her down in order to get the clothes on her. Now she was wearing gypsy like clothes that showed off her slender figure. Even if she had been underfed, she still retained a certain beauty. The men who used her were always careful never to mark her face. After all, men liked it when a female had a face to look at as they did their business. Opal soon found herself staring up at the name of the bar where the pirates usually took her. The smell of alcohol was strongest here, and she gagged on the piece of cloth that had been shoved into her mouth a few moments ago. She looked off to the side, not wanting to face what she had to do. It was just another man. Ghinzo was the one who tied her to a horse post while he and Steig went inside to see what business they could do for the night. When they left, Opal got to work. Living with pirates had taught her a thing or two. When Ghinzo had tied her up, she had taken one of his daggers from him. Now she was trying to saw her way out of her bonds. "I can do this," she told herself. So many times had she tried to run away. All those times she had been caught and punished in the most horrible fashion. But it didn't deter her from trying. If only she could have help from someone. Then things would be slightly easier for her.

A soft grunt passed her lips as she maneuvered the dagger to where her open hand. She had slipped the dagger up her sleeves while Ghinzo had tied her wrists behind the post. Now she was struggling to get the sharp point to work for her. After a few minutes of sawing, she couldn't do it anymore. Her hands were cramping up, and the dagger fell from her hands and onto the muddy ground. The female cursed under her breath and wriggled her hands slightly. The ropes were still too tight for her to struggle her way out of them. "Damn it," she cursed as she stood there. There was no more luck for her this night. Perhaps she could get the man who paid for her to drink a lot before she struck him in the head with a bottle? She had done that before, but she hadn't been strong enough. The only thing she got in return was a punch to her stomach to make her quiet. She shuddered and closed her eyes as she waited for the inevitable.

Steig and Ghinzo came back out with grins on their faces. They had gotten a man that night. The man had looked a lot like the infamous man by the name of Leto LaRoque. Steig smiled at Opal before reaching out for a lock of her hair. "Ye have a job this 'ere night, princess," he said with that grin that she hated so much. The bonds around her wrists were loosened and then she heard the angry sound of a man. She turned her head just in time to see a hand coming toward her face. But she didn't feel the sting of the blow. Steig had intercepted the blow. "Wha' ye thinking, Ghinzo? The wench ha' to look 'er best tonight!" Opal glared at Ghinzo and tossed her head. "The bi*** stole this 'ere dagger from me!" The comment made her snort. So the dumb man finally figured it out? It took him long enough. Too bad she didn't have much strength to drive that dagger into the man's heart. The thought alone brought a little satisfaction to her eyes. "Shut yer trap. Take that gag offa her. The man we just got money from will want 'er to be all perty, not marked up." Opal waited for gag to come off before she exercised her jaw a little bit. The foul taste of he gag lingered on her lips, but she didn't make any comment.

Before Steig and Ghinzo had left the male, they had told him to wait for a few minutes before they got back to him. They had said they had to get the room ready. They had rented out a room on the second floor. It was the one all the way in the back of the hallway. This would ensure that no one would bother the man and Opal while the deed was done. The female with dark honey colored hair was pushed up the stairs and into a large room with a single bed that was pushed up against the wall. Opal took a shaky breath and closed her eyes. Even if she had been used so many times, she was never used to the pain that filled her lower half. None of the pirate were ever gentle with her. Sometimes she just wished to be killed, but it would do nothing for her. The female stayed silent as the two men pushed her to the bed. Of course she would struggle madly as they tied her wrists to the posts of the bed. Then they left. Opal lifted her eyes to her bonds that held her wrists above her head. She glared at the ropes and sighed. "Another night," she whispered sadly to herself. "Just another night." Now she would just wait for the next man to pleasure himself with her body.
                                            --------------------------------------------------------------------

Steig went to find the man who said he would do business with them. When he did find the man, he smiled. "The room is all set fo' yer pleasure. As I said befo', yeh won't fetch a prettier girl for a prettier price. The usual price would be two bags full o' gold, but how about two bags fill o' silver coins?" asked the male. Once the two of them came to an agreement on the price, the male who looked like Leto was free to go have a little fun.

                                                    And she froze.

There in the window from where she stood was Alek, but he wasn't alone. In fact, he was very much with someone and that person was the last person Snow wanted to see with him: Thea. The female gripped her umbrella handle harder, turning her knuckles white as she stood there watching the scene unfold before her. She watched as they kissed and touched. His lips trailed up and down Thea's jawline in a fashion that he used with her long ago. His mouth met hers, and Snow forced herself to keep watching. She watched, and her heart started to crack. Suddenly she couldn't seem to stay upright on her feet. Snow leaned on the gate before her and inhaled shakily. Her eyes were wide. "No," she whispered in a pained voice. She looked back again for a few seconds and then closed her eyes. Her hand let go of the umbrella, and it fell to the wet ground with a dull thump, rolling away into the middle street. She felt cold, lost, and unloved. So it had come to this. Alek was no longer hers. The realization was like a dagger, and the dagger was twisting over and over again into her chest. It drove into her heart, cracking it even more. The cracks continued to grow. Soon she felt her heart shatter. A soft painful sound came from her mouth, and she held onto the gate harder. Her entire slender frame shivered uncontrollably.

Rain drenched her hair, staining her shirt a darker color. Water slid down her cheeks, mimicking tears. Slowly, she pushed herself off the gate and turned around. Then she started to run. All she could do was run. Her feet slammed against the concrete, sending puddles of water splashing everywhere. She ran passed people in the streets, dodging and evading. When her lungs started to burn, she stopped and came to a lethargic walk. Her eyes were no longer bright with energy; now they were dull and lifeless. There was nothing left for her to make her eyes bright. Snow gasped for air and let out a small pained sound. Why did it have to be Thea? Thea was the one person she actually hated to no end. Thea had taken everything from her. She had taken Alek, and from Snow had seen...Alek had fallen for another.

The sun started to kiss the horizon with its last rays. The sky turned a brilliant crimson red color, painting the sky hues of orange and pink. By this time, there weren't many people out. Right now, she was very alone in the rain as it continued to drench her through. The pain in her chest only started to grow, and she clutched at the clothes she was wearing. Her hand curled around the material of her shirt. "Why her? Why did you choose her?" she asked in a strangled tone. Her eyes stared at the ground. The picture of Thea with Alek in that house was burned into her mind, never to be erased. No doubt Thea was having the time of her life. Snow could just hear the moans of pleasure in her mind. She could see Alek touch her with his cool hands, giving Thea feelings of lust that he had used to give her. "No!" she screamed.

Now she held her head in her hands and moaned painfully. Once more, she just started to walk off. She had absolutely no idea where she was, but she didn't care. For an hour more, she wandered around the empty streets, crossing roads without looking left or right. Her body was unfeeling. Carefully, she pushed her wet hair out of her face and rubbed her eyes. Still no tears came. Up ahead was another cross way, and she was heading for it. When she reached it, she paused and closed her eyes. "Fate told me I was yours. Fate told me you owned me," she whispered. "But...you're not here to hold me and tell me that you love me." A heavy sigh passed her lips as she spoke the words that made the situation more real. How could this have happened to her? She couldn't understand what she had done to have this occur. But there was no going back. What use was there? She didn't have the courage to just burst into that house and demand a reason to why he was acting that way. All she could think was that Alek was gone.

Gone and lost. Gone and lost. What was there for her to live for? She was his soulmate, so the pain of losing him only festered within her. The broken shards of her heart were broken further until only the dust of her heart was left. She started to cross the street, oblivious to the sleek black car that was zooming towards her. The headlights of the black Jaguar car were off, so it was partly the reason to why she didn't see it coming. When she reached the middle of the road, her eyes opened to the roar of a car engine. Snow looked to the left slowly and then stared as the black car came closer and closer at a frightening speed. She should have run. She should have done something other than just stand there. She should have taken a step back to avoid chaos. But all she did was say a simple sentence: "I love you, so good bye."

A loud thunk and screeching of tires ripped into the night air. The car drove away just as fast as it came, getting smaller and smaller as it drove off into the distance. No one was there to see the horrifying scene unfold. Snow lay on the ground...motionless. Her eyes were open and glassy. Blood pooled around her, staining her clothes and the ground a dark red color. Numb. Everything was painfully numb. She couldn't feel anything. For three hours she laid there. For those three hours she stared up at the sky that shed water down on her face endlessly. Finally tears rolled down her pale cheeks, mixing in with the rain and blood. Her world eventually started to fade to black and everything stopped. Everything was lost. Everything halted.

                                                    ---------------------------------------------------------------
News of a young female girl that had been hit by a car filled the TV stations: Two days ago, a young female had been found on the streets near the downtown area. The identity of the girl is yet to be announced for her parents do not wish to reveal her at this time. The female was found around four AM in the morning. Doctors have confirmed that the female had indeed been hit by a car hours before. Evidence of the girl being hit is apparent by the wounds she had received. It is a miracle that she still is breathing. We can only hope the best for this female's recover. God bless her soul...
                                                    ---------------------------------------------------------------

Already two days had passed, and she was still in a coma. The doctor sighed as he recorded some notes into his clipboard. The sound of his pen writing on the paper was the only sound besides the beeping of the machines in the room. "It's so unfortunate. Nurse? Give her 50 mL more of morphine," said the doctor in a hushed voice. His grey-blue eyes lifted from what he was writing to look at the young female in bed. The surgeons had done their best to realign the many broken bones the young girl had. All the major cuts and lacerations had been fixed by a plastic surgeon. The female's parents had made sure that their daughter would have minimal scars by pouring money into finding the best surgeons in town. The only scar that couldn't be fixed was one that just hovered over the female's heart. A shard of glass had been embedded there, and it had been in for a long time. The doctors had somehow overlooked it. When they went to take it out, there was no choice but to give her a scar from it. The doctor shook his head sadly. "Four broken ribs, a broken leg in three places, cuts and various lacerations all over, not to mention the possibility of considerable brain damage," muttered the doctor with a sigh. "To me...it didn't seem like just an accident." A sudden movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. the girl's eyes were fluttering open, making the doctor gasp. "Nurse! Call her parents! She's awake!"

It was truly a miracle. Snow could remember everything. When her parents came, she knew who they were instantly. Her mother cried happy tears and hugged her daughter gently. "You had us so worried! For shame!" she cried. Snow could only smile and stare off with blank eyes. Even if she remembered everything, she had one problem. Nothing seemed to interest her much. Her eyes were still blank when her parents started to talk about various things to her. "Snow? Would you like us to call Alek up for you?" asked her father carefully. Snow blinked. Alek? Alek? Alek? Who was Alek? Snow didn't know. Her brow furrowed, and she tried to speak. But before she could, the nurse came back in and ushered her parents out so that she could be left alone to rest.

Two hours later, the nurse came back in. She told Snow that there was someone that wanted to see her. Snow was propped up in bed; the nurse fluffed her pillows. Curiosity touched Snow's eyes as she sat there. It was the one emotion that she had shown since she had awoken. "It's a good thing you don't have any major casts on. The only thing that you have is that bandage around your head and those IV tubes," said the nurse as she talked to Snow. Then the woman left. "I wonder who could it be," Snow murmured to herself. Her eyes went to the nightstand beside her bed. There was something on the nightstand. It glittered slightly as she reached out for it. A black choker fell into her hands, and she placed it on her lap. A pewter black rose hung from the middle of it where a silver slender chain ran as well. She blinked. This choker looked so familiar to her. It was hers, that much she knew. But where had she gotten it?

As she thought about it, a splitting headache wracked her senses. She snatched her hands from the choker and pushed it away from her. It landed on the floor of the room with a soft clatter. A pained groan passed her lips as she held her head in her hands. Her body trembled as she fought the urge to scream. Her hands curled into fists as she pressed them to her eyes. "Stop. Please just stop!" she ordered as she sat in the hospital bed. The pain slowly started to fade as she managed to calm herself down and forget about the origins of the choker. Now she merely waited.

                                                    {ooc: choker}

After she took the mail from him, he looked down the hallway as he waited for her reaction. He was starting to wonder how much the female had caught onto him. It wouldn't be good if she figured everything out. The Commander would kill him...literally. He glanced back down at Brooke when she began to speak. His dark eyes met her light ones as he listened to her. After she finished speaking, Leonus nodded his head slowly. "I'll come. I have to anyways," he said calmly. Was it just him or had he heard a bit of longing in her voice? He couldn't help but swallow hard as he waited for her to do something. If only he could read her thoughts. Finally she began to speak again, and soon he found himself chuckling along with her. His stomach never behaved even when he wanted it to. Leonus gave a small shrug as he stood there.

What happened next took him off guard entirely. He didn't mind her snaking her arms around his, but the kiss happened so fast he didn't know it came. His eyes went wide for a few seconds, but he quickly came back to his down to earth personality. He coughed lightly and then gave her a small smile. What on earth was that for? Brooke had never shown this side of herself to him before. If he hadn't been trained to take surprising situations with a cool mind, he would have blushed. The only reward she got was him being slightly more awkward with her. His attention came back to her when she started to speak. Quickly, he waved his hand and shook his head. "It was nothing. You were sick, and I assume that you still are sick. Just make sure that you get better or your parents will fire me," he said in a joking tone. Then the two of them made their way toward the dining area where the smell of the food was the strongest. Leonus couldn't help but lick his lips in anticipation of the good food in store for him. Back at the institution, he could never eat a very filling meal. It would slow him down. But in this environment, he could do what he wanted. All he needed to do was make sure he kept fit. That was no problem for him.

Leonus sat himself down and accepted a plate of the most delicious looking food he had ever seen. The cook did go all out. In front of him was a plate packed with protein and other goods that would pleasure his mouth for that dinner. He had just taken a bite when Brooke asked him a question. He chewed thoughtfully as he tried to think of an answer that would satisfy her. In truth, he had no idea how long he was going to stay with her. The girl wasn't 'guilty' until he found more evidence. From the last incident, he was wavering in his resolve. "The way you say that is like you want me gone," he said to her. "In all honesty, I have no idea. They just told me to look after you." It wasn't a lie. But what would happen when Brooke's parents came home? He wasn't entirely sure to that outcome.

And then there was that flickering doubt in his mind that he was going to get caught in this little act of his. If that happened, he would be kicked out in a flash. Brooke would definitely feel betrayed, a feeling he could understand. After all, he had never imagined things would turn out like they were. Now he took a little bite from his steak and leaned back in his chair. His eyes stared off into the distance for a little bit before coming to a rest on Brooke's eyes. He sighed heavily and rolled his shoulders. It was a mistake that caused him a lot of pain. Thankfully he masked it quickly by shoving another bite into his mouth. Damn, damn, damn! he thought to himself angrily. There was a new burning sensation in his left shoulder. The male gagged on his food slightly and reached for his glass of water before swallowing his food. The rest of the dinner was passed in peace, without him making another mistake.

Finally he finished eating dinner. The pain in his shoulder was increasing with each passing minute, and he was literally dying to get away from Brooke. He hoped it didn't show on his face, but he didn't know. "Excuse me. I'm getting a little tired. I'll have to retire for today," he said with a small smile on his face. The only thought that raced across his mind was that he needed those painkillers. He bowed his head slightly toward Brooke, not wanting to hear anything from her mouth at that moment. Then he turned on his heel to walk out of the dining area and into the hallway. It took him some effort to not run back to his room. When he reached his room, he went straight to his bed and to the nightstand. The drawer opened with a sharp clack and the pills were in his mouth in a matter of seconds. He swallowed them dry, and then rubbed his eyes warily. Perhaps he should go see the doctor...He didn't know really what to do. If he did go to the doctor, then questions would arise. Complications were not what he needed. If only he could get some rest. If he had two days of sleep, he was sure to recover. Unfortunately, it wasn't the time he had. He had to watch Brooke every single second. A soft aggravated sound passed his lips as he sat there.

After what seemed like a long time, he decided to actually get some sleep. Carefully, he took off his shirt and changed into night wear. When his head hit the soft pillow, he was out in a matter of seconds. He would not wake until late the next morning...

[ooc: perhaps a time skip to the day of the mall?]
