      4.8.10 - Working on reopening. ^^
8.7.09 - Our third flatsale is up with lots of fish and buggy goodness!
7.31.09 - Species & Custom info is up as well as a Questor’s forum in the guild. There is also a small change in the growth post. It’s been rearranged and the only difference is that the growth requirements have been lowered.
7.17.09 - Bird themed event is over, welcome Neshaka, Dgcakes, and shushida to the family!
7.14.09 - So a week after my internet went down the company finally decided to answer their phones and go check what the issue was. I live in the country, away from most internet providers, and we had been getting our internet from a satellite on top of a grain silo for the past year or so. Turns out the satellite had been struck by lightning and since we were practically the only ones using it the company wasn’t going to pay for a new one so we're out of luck from them. Unless we get a new provider I won't have internet at the house until I head to college this fall. But I do live near a library and will try to log on there as often as possible to keep this shop semi-running until I can be back full time so now its kind of on a mini-hiatus until I get something worked out. I will still do growings and finish up the current event so don't think you're burdening me by submitting a growth request (it gives me something to do at my boring internet-less home). As for future events I do not know when the next will be but I will try to hold something I can do with little internet access. Thank you for understanding.
7.6.09 - Since opposing jen is tired of switching accounts around she's leaving her opposing jen account and moving onto her main account BunBunBee.
7.1.09 - Our second flatsale and this time its a speed! There's also an auction up so check it out!
6.30.09 - Welcome our tribal Songbird page 70!
6.25.09 - Welcome our first growings Vergil and Stasio!
6.12.09 - The opening flatsale is over, congrats La Merwaffle, Saint-Cinq, and PandaLily! And a thank you to everyone who entered making this a fun event!
6.3.09 - Shop thread set up.

They once ran abundantly, painting the world with their miraculous colors.
But that was a long time ago.
They were hunted for their feathers and were whipped off the face of the earth.
Some believe a few escaped a hid, away from the greed of mankind.
But none have been seen in centuries and they have been long forgotten.
That was until now when eggs have begun to appear across the land.
Some say it is an attempt to repopulate the race.
Others believe it is a hoax.
But no one will know until an egg hatches.

Songbirds are said to be the goddess of music's gift to us. They say she mixed a bird
and a human to create the most beautiful sounds. The creatures are human in nature but
have the wings and song of a bird.

Songbirds come in many forms. Some say it is from mutation and evolution over time
while others think they were originally blessed or cursed with them.

Common

Songbird... The most common type of Songbird are just that, a Songbird. They are not any less special then the other species but are very humanoid (some with abnormal features) and a set of feathery wings.

Animalistic... Another very common species of Songbird. They tend to take on many features from another creature in the earth. They are looked down upon by some and not seen in cities and towns very often due to their need of a natural environment at times.

Sea Song... Songs from the sea, they tend to wash up on the shore or by lakes and rivers. A very peculiar species of Songbird, they have the lower half of a fish and must be kept in water. They are able to stay out of the water until their body dries and then must be wet or they will dehydrate. When young and small they can be kept in bathtubs or very large fish tanks but as they get older finding a lake or investing in a pool is very important.

Uncommon

Lacewing... Songbirds that have mutated into having bug-like lacy wings. They come in a lot of assortments in both color, design, and shape. They can still fly as well as other songbirds but tend to be a bit smaller in build then the rest.

Leatherback... Songbirds with leathery wings that do not effect their flight ability, just make them look more batlike.

Rare

Seraph... Seraphs come in many types but have somehow managed to grow more then two wings.

Roleplay is required for the growth of your Songbird. Each owner is given a journal in the guild where you need to keep track of your RPs.
They need to be organized by the stage they were done in and have a link to the RP. Journal entries also need to be written down there,
a link isn't required if they are in your journal.

When you have completed the requirements, you can send the growth request slip in a PM to the mule. Also post in the thread you've done
so because we don't always check the mule every day. If your slip is accepted, you will be put on a to-grow-list and your Songbird will grow!

      - Journal Entry Finding the Egg

Hatchling...
Your has hatched and indeed, there was a little Songbird inside. They are small and frail just like baby birds are and need help from their parents, just like a baby human. Interaction with other Songbirds is said to be crucial so make sure you find some other Songbird parents to befriend.
      Growth Requirements:
      - 1 Journal Entry (min length 600 words)
      - 3 Roleplays

Fledgling...
Your child no long has problems walking and is now running. Songbird personalities differ just as much as humans do so there's no telling what you'll be up for.

» 2 Journal Entries (min length 600 words)
      » 5 Roleplays

      Growth Requirements:
» 3 Journal Entries (min length 600 words)
      » 8 Roleplays

Adult...
Out of the emotional frenzy of their life, your Songbird has reach adulthood and often likes to have their freedom. Many will go out and make a nest of their own to share with that special someone they have meet along their life.

User Image

If you absolutely must have a custom and cannot wait for any event to roll around you can pay a high flat price to get an instant custom. Commons cost 1mil, uncommons 2mil, and rares 3mil. If you want twins the price is doubled. Yes I know it is ridiculous but it will keep just everyone from getting one.

Because only a few people can afford that or will quest and work hard to be able to, there will be events that will roll around allowing people to get a custom at a much lower price or free. A quest forum has been setup in the guild for potential owners to make up their own Songbird, get feedback, and just show off their concept. Opportunities to get a custom will be more abundant when there are more people out there looking for one.

Instant Custom Slots...
-always open unless i say so

Custom Form...
Only PM this to the mule when you have obtained a custom.

A Songbirds body begins to get ready for mating during their teenage years when they hit puberty. At that age they are able to hold an egg but at such an early age it can be dangerous for the child and they may not develop properly. It is suggested to wait until the adult stage to have a healthy baby but sometimes foolish birds do things they shouldn't. Breeding can only occur between a male and a female. Both have to have RP leading up to the egg and cannot keep the child. You can either choose who the egg goes to or we can hold an event to find it a good home.

Do we roleplay in first or third person?
Third person is preferred for roleplay but journal entries and prompt responses can be done in third or first.

Do I have to make a guardian?
Yes but you don’t have to spend a lot of time on them. It just needs to be a person who can find the egg and raise it. The majority of the RP should be based around the Songbirds.

Where does the shop take place?
Modern day Gaia. Would you believe these mutations would happen anywhere else?

What ages are the different stages supposed to be?
Hatchling is like a toddler, Fledging is like a child around 10-years-old give or take a few years, an Adolescent is in the teen years somewhere, and Adult is a young adult around early 20s.
