I don't think this needs to be changed. Even if they changed all of this, all you'd need to do is search for a username. If you can't display their forum posts, you're blocked. There's no way to keep it a secret anyway.

I am not responsible for what people say behind my back. I am sure it has been done on this site since we all have user names. Do I care what people say that I don't know. No I don't.

On FB it is a little different. That is my real name. I know the people, or I am at the very least, am communicating in my real name. I have had people block me on FB. You know immediately when you can no longer access a group you have joined. (And it was because someone didn't like that I didn't agree with her opinion.) As far as I am concerned, I am better off without people like that around me.

When someone has blocked you on Gaia, it is like you are being put on notice, to cease any contact with the other person. Even with a mule account. If you don't, it is an offense that can be reported. So yes, I would like to know and not have it kept secret. I don't come here to get in trouble because someone takes issue with me.

Harassment isn't allowed and as such those users should be reported. I don't think they need to obfuscate determining if a person has blocked you or not. It's not really a secret. One moment you see their posts, the next you don't. Try going to the profile it's not available to you. Looking up their username in the friends search tells you that they're ignoring you.

I mean it's pretty obvious. Those threads won't stop just because the profile text telling them they can't see the profile has changed. This is a superfluous thing.

True, maybe they just remember who you are! But at the same time, it could also be because they clearly can see that they have been blocked.

Ah...I meant that it's not possible to completely disappear like that because the person you blocked knows who you are. So when they see they've been blocked, and base on their personality, they'll either throw a tantrum or they'll do nothing.

I think this goes especially on boards where reactionary responses are the norm.

"delaying the inevitable".
Eventually they're going to figure it out. Either using
the search in the navi bar or searching through

Private profiles in Facebook would show only basic information about the user, like the name and the profile picture. That message would also show up if the profile you're trying to view has been deleted.

All I ask/wish for is for gaia to give the same message everywhere. Regardless if you've been blocked, or if the profile is just hidden.
