It is still reserved only for those who botted for their billions...and yeah...just another waste of what COULD be something wonderful, the greed and jealousy monster just grew another head.

How about letting us make our own items (of our own design, not a recipie) and selling them?

I think the "rare item" is bunk and there is no limited supply, it's a freaking image onna server.

And the long permanently banned or fed-up users who left and haven't returned and most likely won't return and all of their megamules still hold "items" which at first cost very little...I say if they haven't logged on in a year and three attempts to contact, release the username, dump all gold and all "items" into the DC/DD and re-issue the user number...just an idea.

I'd like to take a tee shirt and some of the dyes I have and make my own design and sell it as a unique item...that is, if it truly does exist or it's just a regenerated single image from a server and just a serial number...and would give us more use for inks than JUST tats...love that chair in your house but hate the color? 5k and 5 inks and it's new and unique...tired of it? Sell it. Give us these options rather than making this kind of crap. And sorries, it IS crap.

Sorries, this latest venture is epic fail. maybe if I'm lucky I can cash out on it so I can afford some of the items I've had my eye on. Not interested, let the haters hate, I still pray for each and every one of you to have blessed lives...as it's not my place to judge...just to observe...and I really do not like what I am seeing.

My guess is that they'll be pushing out recipes for all those cash items that are required for other recipes within the next couple of weeks. Then all those people who bought the item at ridiculous prices will be kicking themselves for jumping the gun and not waiting.

It's a great concept, but a terrible execution.. so it's a typical Gaia idea.

Let's look at making some level 1 recipes, shall we?

Imp potions - succubus bones/ Cherub feathers apparently haven't been released yet
Joker Card - NONE of the ingredients have been released yet
Nomy (an item that you've been able to get for a long time now for less than 20k) - Since 2 of the items are past CI items, one is a old freebie that you can't get anymore (I believe) and one is a rare alchemy ingrdient, it will cost you over a million gold to make an item work 20k......
Flames of Rage - same as the joker card. None of the ingredients are available.
Silver star - Same as joker & FoR
and so on and so forth.

Every level 1 alchemy item either needs item that don't even exist yet or items that are fully under the control of other users (Like past CI items, fish drops, past free items, edwardian items etc). Yes, those items that haven't been released yet will eventually be so, but why bother releasing a feature that you can't even use without spending millions of gold, FOR LEVEL 1 ITEMS. I don't even think you should have to spend that much on level 9 items. And as long as you use items that aren't accessible to everyone (like past CI items, old freebies, etc) those things are going to be very expensive on the MP and this feature will be useless for anyone that doesn't have billions of gold laying around that they have nothing better to do with.

I'm more than a little irked that Gaia's pushing rare items into item extinction. I'd have liked it better if they had not made alchemy require real items- or at least already expensive ones.

The prices might stabilize slightly, but you have to remember that as far as supply and demand goes, every time someone makes an alchemy item it destroys the original items used- so for every brunette princess hair made, four normal ones disappear. confused

I really want that Onyx Princess Gown. Unfortunately, I don't have 3 of each of the Other Princess Gowns (I haven't even seen a bonus ad yet), nor do I have an Onyx (Where do you get that anyway? DC?). I don't have the gold to get any of them either. It would've been better if it was gold shop items only, rather than using items already limited in supply. sweatdrop Or at least I think so.

Yeah, um. I was really excited when I first saw this, for the first two minutes until I figured out what's going on. To do this level ONE shoe recipe, I need three other types of shoes, one of which is not available right now, one of which is currently listed ONCE on the market for nearly a million gold, and one that had two listings between 50k and 200k. This is ridiculous; especially the ones that want us to have more than one of less-common items. And why in the HELL would I want to use up my uncommon item and LOSE it just to have a recipe completed? Poor, POOR planning here. I'm not liking the idea of so many of these recipes using RIG items, thereby making them into ultra-rares since they're all disappearing.

This would have been a GREAT idea if it had utilized zOMG drops, aquarium items, and oversaturated Daily Chance crap. If the majority of these had been like the starter one we got, it would have been awesome. But if it's just going to continue to be like it is now, how is there any sustainability? How is this going to keep people interested? Did the staff once again underestimate the greediness of Gaians who probably immediately bought up all the ingredients just so they can release them slowly back to the market at outrageous prices?

Good idea. So far, poor execution.

I read the announcement on my phone on the bus home from work and thought it was such an awesome idea, but then I got home and looked into it and I can't make ANY of these recipes without spending a lot.

I'd love that brown princess wig. But it requires two of each of the other princess wigs and honestly, I have them on my wishlist because I'd be thrilled to have just one. It's been at least two weeks since the last time I saw a 'free stuff' ad so I'm not even getting a chance at them right now and it doesn't look like they're going to deflate anytime soon.

As for the back wings, I honestly can't say I'm surprised. I always knew that no matter what they promised somehow it would end up being just like the angelic halo. One more thing I should pretend doesn't exist because that's about the chance I have of owning it.

If this was a petition for Gaia to wise up, I would sign it. But I have a feeling they wont.



This has/had the best chance of making a nice gold sink. But guess they really dont care about the Gaian economy like they claim.
