LANDSCAPE ://:

In Arcana, there are many towns and cities, and rolling plains in the country side. The first town anyone goes to is New Town. Up North, there is the mountain range called 'Golem Range'. To the West is Undela sea, which links to Undela Bay and Undela town, which would bring you to the Unova region. Down South is the island of Twin Peaks, where one must go to face the gym leader ______ to get the Scorch Badge. In the center of the region is Rainbow Bridge, which links Trainers to the Dream World with ease.

CLIMATE ://:

Near the center of the region, it is a temperate climate zone. Toward the south, one gets to the more tropical zone. And in the North, one enters the arctic zone. Seasons come and go, so temperatures shift.

RECENT EVENTS ://:

Recently, there have been a bit of disturbances occurring in random towns and cities across Arcana. They have also been occurring in the other regions as well -- Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto. The gym leaders, professors, and elitists have all been communicating through the Xtranceiver to try to figure out what is going on -- because if conditions worsened, things would be shut down. Like Gyms, Centers . . . and that would not be good for anyone. They have not announced it to the community yet, but the Officers and Nurses know. It seems to be centered in Arcana. Some speculate if it has to do with the myth of Arcana -- about the twelve original pokemon in Arcana -- the Zodiac Pokemon.

ARCANA MYTHS ://:

Each region seems to have a myth and legendary Pokemon. Arcana is no exception. Back when each region was being formed, the one region where the ancient civilization reigned was in Arcana. There were Twelve Pokemon, and three of them controlled a section. In the North, you had the Boar Pokemon ( now Grumpig ), the Rat Pokemon ( now Raticate ), and the Ox Pokemon ( now Tauros ). In the East, you had the Tiger Pokemon ( ? ), the Rabbit Pokemon ( now Lopunny ), and the Dragon Pokemon ( now Dragonite ). In the South, you had the Snake Pokemon ( now Arbok ), the Horse Pokemon ( now Rapidash ), and the Sheep Pokemon ( ? ). And in the West, you had the Monkey Pokemon ( now Primeape ), the Rooster Pokemon ( ? ), and the Dog Pokemon ( now Stoutland ). It was said that some of these Pokemon had evolved and became common Pokemon that we can see in other regions. However, there were still some that stayed and moved beneath the surface of the region.

LEGENDARIES ://:

The three legendary Pokemon are hardly ever seen. The ancient tiger became the Ferocious Feline Pokemon -- Femroar. The ancient sheep became the Mystic Wool Pokemon -- Hypotton. And the ancient rooster became the Eternal Phoenix Pokemon -- Phlazeen. Femroar is the dark and water type. Hypotton is the psychic and grass type. Phlazeen is the dragon and fire type. There is no other data on them, nor what they look like.

tab When joining Gaia, everyone had to check a box saying that you agreed to the terms of services. If you break any of Gaia's rules, you will be reported, and eventually banned forever from the site if you break the rules enough times. Got it? Good. Thank you.

LITERACY ://:

tab Ah, yes. Literacy. This is a literate, to an advanced literate role play. That means no text speech. No one liners. At least three to four paragraphs to a post. AND I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH! On your first post, however, when introducing your character, I expect more than that. Now, I understand, there are some times where you can only really squeeze out a few lines. That is ONLY ACCEPTABLE once in a while. I would like people to post at least once every few days. If things get hectic at home/work/school/life, let me know when you can. If you do not post for over a week, I am sorry to say but I can delete your characters if need be. I hate it when I become stuck because the character mine is conversing with is not talking back . . . for days. It gets annoying, and I bet you would not want it done to you. Also, post in third person, past tense. It keeps the flow going through the paragraphs, and thus makes it easier to read the story. Oh, and guess what I found out? It is more professional to NOT use contractions! As in, instead of narrating and writing 'didn't', it is more professional to write 'did not'! When a character speaks, it is an entirely different story, as they could be the worst speakers in history. Narration is important, and thus I would like it to be legible and understandable. Thank you!

BEAUTIFICATION ://:

tab I want pretty and beautiful posts. What do I mean by that? I mean no blinding colours, no strenuously small letters, and no obnoxiously large letters. Post in colours that one's eye can actually read without straining to read and without having to highlight to read. Also post in a size between size 10 to size 12. Also, in your posts, add some colour and decor! Like, pictures of your character, song lyrics, quotes that go along with your character . . . things of that nature. I hate 'naked' posts, in which it only has the narration of the character. No pictures, no nothing. Now, do not make your post a 'picture book', as in try to hide the fact that you did not post much each and every time. If your post becomes too much, I will let you know so that you can tone it down. Thank you!

tab Considering the fact that I do not know how many characters will be in this role play, let us just set the limit at . . . three characters a pop. I may amend this rule, or just delete it all together. Just so you know, Jenny and Joy are family names -- they're surnames, which means that they are NOT first names. They have different pokemon, and all gym leaders have SIX. There are no elitists here, since there is no Elite Four to challenge. The gym leader must be different than ones we have seen before, so no taking Sabrina or Erika from the Kanto region and claiming them to be your own. towns ://: ＣＩＴＩＥＳ

Arrow Port ://:

tab On the West coast of Arcana is the airport, in a town called Arrow Port. Here is where the Flying type gym is located, and also where one needs to go to get the Windswept Badge. This is also where you can get flying lessons if you beat the gym leader. The town is similar to that of Mistralton City. Lately, something has been making their planes go off course, which is not safe and also delays shipments.

Castelia ://:

tab Castelia is a town built inside an old Medieval fortress. In the center is the giant Castle Gym, where one can go to get the Third Eye Badge. Be careful of the booby traps! The town itself is rather beautiful, with lush fields decorating the pathway toward the main building of the gym. They tend to have a medieval fair every few days, so check in to see when it is to enjoy a jousting tournament!

Clearhood ://:

tab Clearhood is North and slightly West from New Town. Clearhood is surrounded by a giant dome, and can only be entered from the South entrance. In here, the first gym that one should probably go to is the one that has the Average Badge. Clearhood has been having a little issue lately with a crack that has formed in their dome -- if you help them out there could be a reward in it for you!

Dragoon City ://:

tab To the West of Rainbow Bridge is Dragoon City. The whole city has dragon shaped buildings and houses -- as the gym is the one where a trainer would get the Legendary Badge. In the Northern area of the city is Dragoon Tower, where one must climb to get to the Gym Leader.

Golem Town ://:

tab On the West end of the Golem Range is a town built inside one of the many mountains. In this underground city, one can go to the gym and get the Underground Badge. There is an Underground train system that one can take to go all the way over to the other side of the Range and get to Treopolis or Ship's Point, or even Mountain City.

Grave City ://:

tab A gloomy kind of place, as half of the place is just a graveyard. On the other side is the Charred Cathedral, as well as a mausoleum that will take you down to the gym to get the Haunted Badge.

Insect Town ://:

tab Just as the name suggests, this town has BUG written all over it. The Insect Badge is won here. Oh, and when one says that this is a rather buggy place, they are not joking. Everything is shaped like a bug -- the whole town when viewed from the air looks like a giant ladybug! There are many insect fanatics here, so do not bother them about the bug problem -- they created it!

Lighthouse Township ://:

tab No gyms are here, but a beautiful view of the South Seas are visible. The lighthouse holds many waiting trainers to fight with. Just don't anger the light house keeper.

Logging Milltown ://:

tab This town is built for people who all work at getting trees cut and shipped out. All the houses and buildings are log cabins, furnished rather nicely. This has no gym, but it does have a nice place to rest. If you want to fight, the main log cabin is used daily for practice.

Mountain City ://:

tab The train that comes out from the Underground Rail System, makes a stop right outside of Mountain City. Here is where one goes to get the Mountain-Side Badge. Mountain City is equipped with lifts and such to help one get up the steep sides of the cliffs. It can get rather chilly, so bring a coat!

Mount Noon ://:

tab There used to be a mountain where this town stands. In the center is a functional fighting dojo where one can enter and fight the gym leader for the Weight Badge. They hold fighting matches during the afternoon daily, and that is the only time where a trainer can find the gym leader.

New Town ://:

tab This is where everyone starts their journey in Arcana. PokeLab Number One is located here, where the trainers will meet Professor Cypress and Professor Willow, who will ask the trainer what element they want to start with. From there, a random starter Pokemon in that element will be given to the trainer.
tab If the trainer chooses 'FIRE', they will randomly get either Charmander ( from Kanto ), Cyndaquil ( Johto ), Torchic ( Hoenn ), Chimchar ( Sinnoh ), or Tepig ( Unova ).
tab If the trainer chooses 'WATER', they will randomly get either Squirtle ( from Kanto ), Totodile ( Johto ), Mudkip ( Hoenn ), Piplup ( Sinnoh ), or Oshawott ( Unova ).
tab If the trainer chooses 'GRASS', they will randomly get either Bulbasaur ( from Kanto ), Chikorita ( Johto ), Treeko ( Hoenn ), Turtwig ( Sinnoh ), or Snivy ( Unova ).

Nocturne Valley ://:

tab Near the south is a port that is covered in dark colours. Time seems to only be night in this place -- trees at the top of the valley hide the sun almost all day except for noon. This is where one goes to get the Midnight Badge from Nocturne Gym, located underneath the Moonlight Lounge bar.

Ruined Port ://:

tab Just south east of Nocturne Valley is a sea port that used to be in service. However, it seems to be more haunted and empty than Grave City.

Ship's Point ://:

tab On the east coast of the Arcana region is Ship's Point. Everything is built on boats, as it used to be a floating type of city. It's made its port and has anchored itself down, building bridges and ladders to get to all the locations. Their stadium floats on a giant dock in the center, and it's surrounded by glass to make it look like a giant fishbowl. This is where one gets the Soaked Badge.

Stadium City ://:

tab Since there is no Pokemon League to face after facing all seventeen gyms, there is a giant stadium town. Inside, you may fight to your heart's content, and you may even face some gym leaders and league members from the previous regions.

Static Town ://:

tab On the east side of Rainbow bridge is Static Town. In the center of the town is a giant Power Plant, similar to the one found in the Kanto region. The Power Plant is safe to enter, and at the top is where the gym leader is waiting. Here is where you get the Storm Badge.

Steel City ://:

tab As the name implies, this is a city built with steel ( and other metals, of course ). It is to the east of a small bridge that takes you to Static Town, and it is north of Grave City. The Iron Badge is found in this city's gym.

Sunnyside Resort ://:

tab Just like Logging Milltown, this has no gym. However, it does have some rich people looking for a pokemon battle everyday. Trainers and swimmers also can dive into the deep sections of the water and find some lost treasure and sell it to the rich families. Great way to get some quick cash! The Sunnyside beach also seems to be rather calming and soothing -- many come to swim with their Pokemon freely. There are no dangers in the bay area, but once one goes past that they enter the ocean, and there could be some Jellicents and Tentacruels waiting down below -- so be careful!

Tomb City ://:

tab Right next to Grave City is Tomb City. This place is a little more livelier than Grave, but not by much. The gym uses poison type pokemon, and one must succeed in beating the gym leader to get the Death Badge.

Treeopolis ://:

tab This is a giant city built up high in the trees. It stands in the northern area of Arcana, nearby the city Ship's Point. This is similar to Fortree City in the Hoenn region, but it is at least three times bigger. In the center of Treopolis is the grass stadium, hidden inside a giant tree. The badge one could get if they beat the leader is the Flower Badge. The town itself is very eco-friendly, and many Pokemon are around to help trainers and residents alike. There are some rather fun games that the town has to offer -- like the vine-swinging game. One can challenge Pokemon or people to this game to see who can swing the farthest on the vines before they fall to the safety net below.

Twin Peaks Island ://:

tab All the way in the southern region of Arcana is the island that used to be part of the main land. However, thanks to the two volcanoes erupting, it forced the town to become an island. It is accessible by plane or ship, or by means of using 'Fly' or 'Surf'. The two volcanoes are supposedly never going to erupt again, but the island still rumbles every now and then, indicating that the lava may soon burst. This is similar to Cinnibar Island from the Kanto region.

Winter's Peak ://:

tab There is a lone mountain in the North-West area of Arcana. Here is where it seems to be Winter all year round, but that just happens to be because of the gym leader and the gym. It is almost like Snowport City. This place is also house to a great ski resort and hot springs -- provided by the gym leader's family.

Broadway Ville ://:

tab In the northern region of Arcana is a town that loves to put on plays. No gym is there, but it does have a lot of actors raring for a fight. Similar in fashion to the Kabuki theatre in the Kanto area.

Holiday Villa ://:

tab Way up north, near the mountains, is a little winter resort area. Many people come for the wonderful ice skating rink that they have for everyone to skate on. It seems to always be cold up here. They love decorating for Christmas, and they always seem to have a Santa who is also a trainer . . .

Seacrest Isles ://:

tab Down in the southern region is a group of miniature islands. There are many tropical fruit and Pokemon as well.

Minutopolis ://:

It will get hot inside the gym, as there is lava every which way -- think of Cinnibar's gym, and imagine how hot that gym was. Now, imagine that doubled. You will sweat, and I don't mean from stress or anxiety. Like, you will literally sweat from the heat. Just be sure you have a water Pokemon with you JUST to cool you down.

In Ship's Point, there is a giant fish bowl that sits on the main ship at port. Once one boards the S.S. WAVE, they are given an oxygen mouth piece, and then they are escorted up a ladder. Once one reaches the top of the ladder, they can dive on into the water to face the other challengers, or they can stay on the diving board and wait for challengers to surface. Be careful -- water is everywhere, and even if your Pokemon is effective against the water, they cannot do much else except stay afloat. You better be prepared to get soaked to get the Soaked Badge. Two gym leaders await to face you, so choose which one to fight carefully.

In Treeopolis ( the city up in the trees ) there is a giant old tree with an entrance in the tree as well as in the ground. Inside the tree, there are many young trees, with ropes and wooden planks attached to them. Rope ladders and rope bridges are made to make the next tree accessible. There are even vines to swing on! The middle of the gym is the wide platform to have battles on. Be careful with your fire Pokemon here -- if you damage the gym you'll have to pay for it and rebuild it!

Unlike Twin Peaks Island, Winter's Peak is FREEZING. This place is cold to the touch, and the Pokemon are cold too. I mean, they are Ice type Pokemon in the gym, after all. Don't be discouraged -- at least the gym leader, Blanche, is nice. No fire seems to be hot enough to melt the ice, so you better have a back up plan there. The middle of a gym is an ice rink, and before you go further into the gym from the front door, people give you a pair of ice skates to use if you don't already have a pair. You don't necessarily need to fight when you're in the gym -- it is an ice skating rink. However, they do clear those who aren't battling when a trainer comes in to battle one of the leaders. Make sure you're bundled up so you don't get frost bite!

This town does not kid when it says it loves and worships Dragon type Pokemon. There are statues lining the main building of the city -- Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Dragonite . . . and many more. These people do not kid when they train their dragons either -- so you better be wary where you fight. You literally have to enter the mouth of the dragon ( the doors are shaped like a dragon's mouth ) to get inside the building. Oh, and you can't leave until you defeat the gym leader. The dragons are at high levels so you better be up to the challenge.
