This is the world of Pokemon. The delicate balance between humans and pokemon is about to be destroyed. With the fall of Giovanni, Team Rocket was said to have been broken apart, its members disappearing into everyday society to blend in until once again the organization built on crime would rise. That time has come. A new leader has come forward, calling upon all former members to rejoin Team Rocket and face the challenge of once again attempting to dominate the world.

This leader is much different from Giovanni however. He is sneakier, more evil, and colder than Giovanni could have ever been before Red came along. Using the vast resources brought to him by the loyal Team Rocket scientists, the new leader of Team Rocket has started up a research project. Pokemon Hybrids. The experiment: to fuse a pokemon with a human. The idea was revolutionary among Team Rocket members. Some thought the idea was absolutely ridiculous, others thought it was sheer genius.

Team Rocket managed to stay under the radar of the police forces throughout the world, but recent escapades has brought it out into the public eye. With a large number of humans, both well-known trainers and local trainers alike, being kidnapped, as well as their pokemon, the police have begun to investigate Team Rocket, sending in spies and detectives to force the secrets out. However...none of them have returned. Just what is going on inside that tower that stands so ominously in the distance?

-This pokemon thread, unlike a lot of others, does not run on the Honor System for battling. We have our own battle thread. Follow these rules and you will have no problems. Battle Thread Here

-We also have our own Item Thread to prevent anyone from picking up a mass of items that would pretty much make them invincible.

-If at any time you want to see the Profile Thread to look up information on people, just click the link.

-Escapees may join Team Rocket at any time during this roleplay, just see a Team Rocket member and they may or may not decide to trust you to allow you in the ranks. You may have to join up with them to prove your worth.

-Team Rocket members can turn traitor any point during the roleplay, usually by helping an escapee or attacking a fellow member of Team Rocket.

-Pokemon fusions can evolve in this roleplay. They cannot switch back and forth between human, hybrid, and pokemon forms however.

-If you are a fusion that gets captured, Team Rocket members can get approval from their leader to re-fuse you into a different hybrid, you have been warned.

-Movesets can be changed if you so desire. You're not stuck with what you choose if you decide to change your mind.

-All that being said, please use "" for speaking, and no text speak or ** for actions. I also prefer third person but it's not required.

-I am a grammar nazi. They invented the period (.) and comma (,) for a reason. Please use them correctly.

-As you can probably tell, this is a long term roleplay. Do not join if you're not planning to be in it for the long run.

-Before you submit a profile for a Legendary Pokemon, make sure it is not one already being played by someone. I will not allow double legendary profiles except under special circumstances.

-Posting guidelines are as follows: post at least once a week, if I see you're posting on day 6 of 7 repeatedly, I may PM you and ask for a reason.

-I will delete profiles if I feel you are not posting enough to keep up with others who are waiting on you.

-If you are going away for a couple days, PM me and let me know ahead of time so I can warn the other roleplayers, it's common courtesy.

-Do not complain about the roleplay creator with other roleplayers in the thread, that's just rude and you're pretty much just asking me to kick you out.

-This is not a dark roleplay. Do not post anything of graphic nature/description, and no trainers/fusions are permitted to kill anyone whether it's another roleplayer's character or just a random NPC you created. If I have to warn you more than once I will tell you to edit your posts. If you do not comply you will be removed from this roleplay for failure to comply with the roleplay rules.

-Questions on any of these rules, PM me and ask. I probably won't snap or bite.

Our story so far...

The organization of Team Rocket began the experimentation of fusing humans with Pokemon. It is believed that the current leader of Team Rocket, who stepped up when Giovanni disappeared, plans to use these fusions to take over the world and succeed where his/her predecessor failed. While scientists worked around the clock to build a device that could fuse the two races together, the new leader sent out Team Rocket executives and Team Rocket grunts alike to bring the strongest humans and pokemon they could find back to Headquarters. After the first experiments failed and the lab was almost destroyed by a pokemon's rage, the Team Rocket Leader ordered a new science lab to be built, one much stronger than the last one, and capable of withstanding even a Legendary pokemon's might.

Eventually this machine was built in the form of three columns, all linked together by a mass of wires, computers, and machines. The first column on the left was for a human, which the Team Rocket Leader decided should be for a certain age range during the course of the experimentation. The second column, standing directly to the right of the first, was for the pokemon that was to be fused with the human. The Team Rocket scientists discovered it was much easier on the machine if the pokemon was in a pokeball at the time of the fusion. They quickly found out that the fusion would be more susceptible to joining Team Rocket if the pokemon was in a dark ball prior to beginning the fusion process. The third column was where the fusion would be at when the process was finished. Though it was too complicated to be explained to him/her, the Team Rocket Leader accepted this with a burning desire to have an army of which to control.

However...the Team Rocket Leader overlooked one minor detail. There were very few humans willing to participate in such an experiment, and they were ridiculed and reported to the police many times. So Team Rocket had to resort to kidnapping, abduction, and theft of humans and pokemon alike to complete their experiments. Throughout the different phases of the experimentation, it became quite clear which ones were more successful. In the first phase, they tried to fuse human and pokemon together, with the pokemon being the dominant soul in the body, and so controlled the body's movements. Unfortunately, a lot of fusions couldn't adapt and were quickly "lost". The second phase that was begun was where the human had the control of the body's movements. This phase proved to be the most successful, but unfortunately a lot of the humans were grief-stricken to find that the pokemon's lives were lost. The third phase, which is the most common in the HQ now, is where both the human and the pokemon souls have equal share in controlling the body's movements.

Recently however, a fourth phase began. One in which there is more than one pokemon fused with a human. In an effort to make sure s/he had absolute control over the world once the takeover would commence, the Team Rocket Leader ordered this phase to begin so his/her army would be built as quickly as possible. In this phase, there are two pokemon fused with the human, so the fusion ends up knowing eight moves. Still in the experimental phase, there are very few fusions who have survived so far. As it is, once the fusion steps out of the chamber, or is otherwise taken out of the chamber, the fusion has no realization of knowing the other four moves. It only realizes that it has these moves through battle.

With the number of fusions breaking out of their cells in an effort to escape from Team Rocket HQ and to not be experimented on any further, the Team Rocket Leader issued a shut down of the entire facility so no one could escape. However, this doesn't stop a large group of experiments from trying, even if they get hurt in the process, so the Team Rocket Leader ordered all-hands-on-deck, which ordered all Team Rocket members to stop whatever task they had been working on, except for the scientists, and go capture the escaped experiments. It seemed the plan was working at first, especially when a scientist introduced the dark claw to the Team Rocket Leader, who was most pleased with the idea, but the dark claw has one side effect that neither the scientist nor the leader realized. If the holder forces both his/her mind and body to fight the claw, there will be a collision of telekinetic energy from the dark claw, and the experiment's mental capacity has a strong chance of completely shattering, leaving the fusion to become confused, disoriented, and completely uncontrollable.

After discovering what the dark claw did to the minds of the experiments, the boss of Team Rocket ordered all claws to be confiscated and destroyed. In a building as large as Team Rocket HQ however, some dark claws are still scattered among the different floors. A new experiment started up, and the Team Rocket Boss was looking for a couple of experiments to try it out on. Coincidentally, a Team Rocket Assistant General had just captured three experiments. Pleased with the capture, the Team Rocket Boss sent a Team Rocket Scientist to the cellblock where the captured experiments were, ordering the scientist to try out the new device immediately. Her orders were to observe the experiments after putting the new device on in the cells, and if all went according to plan, to release them from their cells and see how they fared in battle against their fellow escapees.

Since the experiments escaped before Scientist Ux could try out the new scientific experiment, she assisted in recapturing three out of the four escapees, and let the fourth stay free of a cellblock since he had acquired a Pendant, the key of the new experiment. With more Pendants floating around in various rooms throughout Team Rocket HQ, it's becoming difficult for the escapees to keep level heads. Tempers are rising as it seems nothing can get in Team Rocket's way of their plan. But what is their plan exactly? It doesn't seem as if they're trying to build an army at all...

It seems to be that someone or something is trying to stop or slow down General Sprite and Scientist Ux. An overwhelming pain has hit them both and has made Scientist Ux unable to battle and completely blind, since an Uxie has the power to wipe someone's memories by making eye contact. General Sprite has reached a crossroad and must now come to the decision of aiding the escapees or rejoining her fellow Team Rocket members. An escaped fusion by the name of Alex changed her mind once, can he do it again?

As Team Rocket Asst. General X makes his move on several escaped fusions, he is joined by an unlikely comrade, another escaped fusion named Kimi. Though she is not yet a team rocket member, she certainly has the makings of one. Meanwhile, the fight on the ninth floor seems to have come to a halt as both sides are at a standstill and only exchanging harsh words. Captain Sparky, recently turned sides to Team Rocket, stands by her decision and wants no part in helping her former friends escape. Though her reasons for turning are yet unclear, it seems as though the escapee Alex knows more than he is letting on. Having gathered pieces of a letter, Alex's outward display of emotion seems to have completely changed around and he is now unsure of what to do. At the same time, Scientist Ux seemingly turns her back on Team Rocket as well, and removes the pendant from around escapee Roku's neck. The head of Team Rocket has appeared at last, though her whereabouts in the building are left unknown as she continues to chat with an escapee Kyo. It seems as though Kyogre and the boss of Team Rocket both know something Kyo doesn't at the moment. With everything going on in the building, will the structure stand up to the battles?

As Sprite and Ux teleport escapees Roku and Alex safely out of the building, Kyo gets a special assignment after meeting with the boss of Team Rocket. It seems as though she is having second thoughts about everything that has been going on, at least to the extent of realizing there are those who are taking advantage of the experiments. The boss of Team Rocket has returned Kyo's pokemon to her and pleads with Kyo to help stop those who have betrayed her trust. After a mishap with the VTS, caused by a mini-explosion by X, Sprite and Ux go down to the second floor where they side with Kyo in battle. Though now there are more questions than answers as Team Rocket members continue to question as to why Sprite and Ux are on the side of the escapees. Whose truth will stand firm and whose lie will fall to pieces? The true mastermind behind the tortured escapees is starting to come to light...

Scientist Ux and Kyo are both captured by Doppel while trying to assist an escaped fusion, Sage. The outcome of the battle: Doppel ultimately won, catching all 3 fusions. Doppel proves his worth to Team Rocket and earns rare praise from the Team Rocket leader, while Spyke seems to have his own motivations and agenda as he does not help Doppel in the battle at all. As Doppel fails to get answers from Kyo regarding how she got her pokemon back, he gets his answers from another source, claiming to be the Team Rocket leader. Yet Kyo is saying she got her pokemon back from the Team Rocket leader. As Sprite, Roku, and Alex are outside forming a plan to stop the organization once and for all, a sinister plan is unfolding by someone no one has met. Arky, however, announces what few has hoped to believe in: there is a way to reverse the fusion process. But the only one who can operate it is a Scientist that has not been named. As Arky starts to run out of options in stopping the chaos from overtaking the building, she turns to Gabriel and Lillian in a plea of help. Gabriel is willing, but Lillian isn't buying her story at all. With all the lies and battles going on between the members of Team Rocket and the escapees, it seems the lines between truth and false words are becoming harder and harder to find.

As Spyke seemingly turns on Team Rocket long enough to stab Doppel in the back, shortly after Doppel catches another escapee, Hachi, Scientist Zane joins Doppel after Doppel's captured escapee, Sage, 'catches' a Milotic escapee, but only long enough to decide to switch sides and go with Spyke instead. Doppel, following orders from the boss of Team Rocket, continues fighting with Ux fighting alongside him. After discovering they were outnumbered by Zane switching sides, Doppel makes the best decision is a hasty exit and Ux teleports them off the floor. Sprite on the first floor, after freeing Sayura and Naruka, both having been captured by X, has a chat with Decklan, also captured by X, and discovers that they're both on the same side, both are receiving orders from the boss of Team Rocket. Unbeknownst to them however, Lillian and Mercenary Blade discover that while they are both following orders from someone high in the chain of command, they are not from the same person. Or if they are, one of them is being lied to, something Lillian is all too familiar with. As several fusions are close to the breaking point, some are discovering that their memories are broken as well, and really have no place to go back to as far as they can remember. With two very different orders being passed down the ranks of Team Rocket, escapees are being caught in the middle not knowing where to turn or who to trust.

After a shortened run-in with Spyke, Doppel finds himself kidnapped by an escapee, Roku. Ux teleports after them and the three proceed to argue in the VTS while heading down to a random floor. As tempers flare and the doors open on the second floor, Roku unleashes a powerful Earthquake, sending the entire tower toppling to the ground. Many fusions are knocked out in the collapse, and many more are knocked away from the friends and enemies they had just been with moments before. As they begin to stir and wake up from their daze, an underground entrance has appeared, leading the way into a dark facility that remained hidden beneath the Team Rocket tower.

As another trainer, by the name of Wil, is brought into the facility, a dreamlink between himself and a grovyle-fusion named Demi link their pasts together, but neither of them know that the other is in the same building. After being defeated in battle by Demi and Alex, another Team Rocket member, who identifies himself as the Leader of Team Rocket, retreats along with two of his subordinates, Heart and Soul, whom are Ho-Oh and Lugia fusions. Deciding to contact Scientist Ux with questions of his own, Soul contacts her on Kyu's behalf and they plan to meet up in the medical bay area where Assistant General X waits for Kyu after recovering from his injuries in the collapse of the tower.

Deep underneath the underground facility lies a science lab with machines that take most of the power from the facility itself. What goes on down here is a mystery known only to a few Team Rocket members. After stumbling upon it accidentally, General Sprite discovers what the three clear testing tubes are for that are in the room, but finds her spirit is now separated from her body, and unable to return since she doesn't know where it is. Assistant General Sparky and Mercenary Hades have stumbled across the same room, where Sprite's body remains as it was in the testing machine. Will they discover what happened?

With a large battle taking place on the third floor of the first sublevel, all available Team Rocket members are called to assist in capturing the escaped experiments. The battle ended with a complete victory for Team Rocket, imprisoning two escapees and capturing two more. A traitor by the name of Yarra was also captured and handed to Scientist Ux for orders left unknown by passerby.

A battle on the second sublevel's second floor broke out not that long after the first battle came to a halt. As the battle went on, the hallway started crumbling around those battling, falling to pieces as attacks missed their target and hit the structure of the underground facility. The floor ultimately gave out and caused several floor traps to trigger at once, sending everyone in the battle to different areas of the underground.

As the battles continue between escaped experiments and Team Rocket, the underground facility is slowly beginning to fall apart around them with the magnitude of the attacks. It's clear it won't stand up much longer, with rubble falling on the heads of those walking the halls.

With the collapse of the underground facility, the past is buried at last, allowing all fusions to leave freely through a tunnel that was once used to bring humans and pokemon through to the facility.

As the dust settled, a figure is shot down from the sky and the fusions find themselves under attack by an unknown assailant. Sleeping gas bombs are being rained down on their heads, knocking any and all escapees/humans/and team rocket members unconscious. As they wake up, they discover they are all in cells, detained and kept from one another and a new sinister voice is talking to them from overhead, welcoming them all aboard the S.S. Destiny, Team Plasma's finest airship.

With the welcoming speech over, Team Plasma gains new recruits as escapees who hate Team Rocket join up with Team Plasma in an attempt to get their revenge, and Team Rocket members who want to be with someone else (perhaps the one they dub the winning team) switch sides. With their power dwindling, and Team Plasma's power rising, it's become unclear what Team Rocket's plan was for the experiments...

This form should be taken seriously. Any not serious forms filled out will have a warning issued out to the one who sent in the form. c: I expect as many of these questions to be filled out as you possibly can so I can get back to you with a response easier.

Godmodding includes (but is not limited to): auto-moving characters without permission, automatically knowing things about other people that they should not know, auto-hitting other people

Unfair Play includes: not following battle rules/guidelines, knowing things about other people that they shouldn't know (like a Plasma member in disguise as an escapee or something), not following item rules/guidelines

Overall Rudeness: Self explanatory. Refers to the ooc comments specifically (including the ooc thread), but can go into characters if you think someone is taking it too far.

Other: Please specify what the action was so I know what I'm looking for.

Blending in...

Shadow sat in the corner of what he decided to be a cellblock. The two guards that were supposedly watching him had been playing cards for quite some time now, and it was getting a little irritating with all the laughter and noise. His eyes drifted to the window that was in the same room. Could use that as an escape route, but who knows how far down to the ground it is... Shadow tilted his head slightly, pondering the possibility of being on the ground floor. Why can't I be a flying hybrid?! Then it wouldn't matter!

Blending in...

Shadow tilted his head, still watching the guards who were paying no attention to him. Again his eyes drifted towards the window. 'Well I suppose it's worth a shot... Shadow, using the wall for support, slowly stood up, trying to shake the feeling of needing to walk on all fours. Focusing intently on the guards, his eyes lit up in a gold glow and sent the table, chairs, and the two guards in the chairs smashing up against the wall. His gaze then went to the cell door and forced it to open. Shadow scurried out of the cell walls and peered out the window. 'Isn't that just my luck?' He glared as he found he was on the second floor. There is no way I'm going for that. With no trees in sight for him to jump to, Shadow decided his best bet was the hallway.
