How can you tell the world is slowly slipping into grave peril?
Well, you can`t.

That is why throughout the halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
everything seems innocent and normal. When really there is another war brewing up.
A new Dark Lord has arrived with the same intentions as the previous one.
Everyone inside the building is picking sides, and this year there are a lot of everyone`s.
Hogwarts has merged with Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons for whatever reasons.
Now it is even harder to tell who is a true friend. So inside the wondrous halls
of Hogwarts there are even more betrayal, spies, wands, dangerous creatures,
liars, confusion, tension, hope, hate, love, and most of all drama.
So what are you waiting for?

o1. Be at least semi-literate, which is about two good well structured paragraphs. About seven to ten sentences each. But you don't have to go write a novel.


o2. Be committed. Post at least five times a week and if your going away make sure you don't leave anyone else stuck where they are. PM ME if your quitting, don't just post it in the ooc or disappear.


o3. Name Reserves, 'Crucio!' profiles 'Kedavra!' and quidditch team requests 'Imperio!'. If I do not get a reserve from you you may not just join.


o4. In each house there will be two Beauxbatons Girls, two Durmstrang Boys, two Hogwarts Girls, and two Hogwarts Boys.


o5. You must PM ME if your going to be on vacation or you're going to be away for longer then two days.


o6. Be active in the OOC so you can catch up on plotting and different updates that you would not know about if you weren't posting in it. Plus its always good to be friendly to your fellow rp'ers. :]


o7. This roleplay moves very fast, so don't be afraid to ask questions as to whats going on. Make sure you look at the bulletin board post before asking though. I update it regularly and your question may be answered there.

Overview.

Ah, Hogwarts...Nothing compares to it, right? Well, it just so happens that the first morning of classes is over. That's right, the train has already been ridden, the houses and new students have already been sorted, and so starts the school year. Nothing seems to be really happening today. The weather is a bit unusually chilly, but then again...it is September. At this time, students are taking their breaks from classes and are either in the Great Hall, eating lunch, or wandering about doing various activities. Classes will be resuming shortly.

Things to Know.

- Curfew for students to be in their houses is 10pm for 1st-4th years and 11 pm for 5th-7th years.

- Students under the age of seventeen will not be aloud to use magic outside of the classroom unsupervised.

- All students must show their house pins at all times. (How else are we supposed to dock points?)

- Please refrain from going to the Dark Forest, the Shrieking Shack, the Whomping Willow, or other house's common rooms. (We are aware that dangerous places are attractive to young people such as yourselves, but please try refrain from having any dangerous...adventures...)

- A note certified by the head master and the head librarian is needed in order to access the restricted section in the library.

Today's Activities

-Slytherins and Gryffindors will have Potions together about an hour from lunch (12:30)

-Hufflepuffs have the afternoon off!! So, they are free to wander about, explore, meet new people, etc.

-Ravenclaws have the Quidditch field for practice today. Might be a good idea to break out those broomsticks and hit the bludgers around, considering their match against Slytherin is only in a couple of days.

-This evening, a small get-together will be taking place in the Great Hall for students who are NOT from Hogwarts to meet and greet their fellow peers. It's going to be a classy event, so please dress accordingly. Students who aren't in compliance with the dress code will not be allowed to attend.

Well then, please take in the following information:

-Classes have been finished until the afternoon. Some students may be wandering about, while others are in the Great Hall eating lunch or something or another. (Please take note that since the train and sorting have been skipped, some students might "Recognize" others from the train, but not completely know them. Please take this into consideration, since it seems that most HP RP's seem to get stuck and die right after the train scene...that's why it has been skipped.)

Muggle Family Found Dead

-It's a sad day my friends, when one must announce that they believe the dark times are upon us once again. Did we not say, on the day that the Dark Lord was destroyed, that the world would return to peace and everything would be the way it had been not long ago? That we could all rest a bit easier in our homes, love our family, cherish our lives together, and send our children back to the respectable school known as Hogwarts? Well, it is with great displeasure, that I write that a family of muggles was found dead this morning right on the outskirts of London. It appeared that no foul play by muggle weapons was involved...but they had been killed by the unforgiveable curse that we all know quite well. The family of muggles, known as the Levitts, were found all gathered in their parlour, almost as if they had been sitting right there when the attack was thrown upon them. A wife, her husband, and their small child were found all together, gathered about the living room table. Though, what appears to be the most interesting, yet factor in this sad tale, is that nothing appeared have been taken. No, my friends. Instead, it looked as though the dark mark had been seered into the wall and the place had been abandoned. It is now, that I call upon the wizarding community to draw together and realize that...there are still dark wizards out there. Whether the Dark Lord is truly back or not...only time will tell us that. As for any more heroes stepping up to the plate to take a crack at him? Well...it seems to be that we are fresh out of those...ever since our lovely Mister Potter found his way out our lives and is now living peacefully elsewhere.

⇒ Morning time meant work time. Or in this case...afternoon time. Jasper O'Connell had missed classes already, and it was only the first day of school. He rolled over in his bed and groaned slightly, reaching out for his wand. If things didn't go over well for him this year, he could pretty much kiss his title and his rep good bye. Jazz stared up at the ceiling of his common room and sighed roughly. He had a lot to live up to this year. He was a young Death Eater, working for the Dark Lord...or the one that had come back...or whoever he was. Jazz didn't give two shits about who the guy was...he just knew he had to work for him and be loyal. And loyalty was all the young man was about. He rolled over and sat up in bed, resting his feet on the floorboards below and all he did was continue to stare. Back at Hogwarts. There was so much history here that even Jazz could fathom the idea that legends had walked the very halls that he was walking down every day now for the next three hundred or so days. He clenched his fists and bit his lip, his thoughts wandering more and more as he wasted time resting on the mattress. His father was a Death Eater...was that why he was doing this? Was that why he was so keen on making sure things were followed through with and that everything went according to the Dark Lord's plans? Jazz let a small, dark smirk overcome his lips and he just sat there still for a moment longer. Things would go as planned...and he would make sure they were carried out as such. What could he say? He was a bad boy...and all the ladies seemed to love that. Speaking of ladies....

Jasper huffed lightly and pushed himself out of the bed and he moved to get himself dressed and ready for the day. Well...whatever was left of the day, that is. He pulled on his normal clothes, a nicely fit tee and a pair of jeans. The guy didn't even bother grabbing his robes and pulling them on. No doubt, he would probably get house points deducted for the act, but this early in the year, it didn't matter. The teen grabbed his wand up once more, along with various books and folders, then he moved towards the stairs that led down to the common room. Once reaching the common room, he paused briefly to say hello to a couple of ladies seated there, once studying...now gaping at the older Slytherin. He let out a sigh and waved them goodbye. Though, on his way out the door, he heard the familiar giggles he was so used to, and couldn't help but smirk as he walked out and made his way to the Entrance Hall. When he reached the place in mention, he rubbed the back of his neck and looked about. Most students were headed to lunch and ready to rest for an hour or two before the rest of their classes ensued. In Jazz's case, he would either skip and just stay at lunch for a while, or actually show up to the classes and be sure to apologize to his professors later for being so late. He would simply explain that he had been tired and feeling rather ill from dinner and the train ride last night. It was a plausable reason enough. When he pushed his way into the Great Hall and looked about, he saw that the Slytherin table was empty for the most part. Jazz was social by nature...but usually those wanting to talk to the young Death Eater came to him, not the other way around. He smirked and walked over to the table and made himself comfortable, sliding into his old and usual seat.

"Um...hi there..." came a voice from behind him.

Jazz turned around to glance at a young Hufflepuff girl...clearly having lost her mind from daring to come over here in the first place. Though, instead of sneering or being rude at the girl, he simply pointed to the table she was meant to be seated at, then went back to making himself a sandwhich and grabbing some Pumpkin Juice. He gulped it down as though he hadn't drank anything for days, then continued on. He grabbed at his sandwhich and bit into it hungrily. As he did so, he eyed about the large room, taking in who all was there. A few Ravenclaws and Gryffindors were talking with each other. A small group of Hufflepuffs, including the young girl that had been lost earlier were talking amoungst themselves as well. He noticed that the younger girl kept looking his way and she would giggle and blush ever so often. Jazz couldn't help but smile, then went back to focusing on his lunch and wondering what kind of trouble he could get into today. He hadn't read the prophet like he had needed to...but he figured he'd get his hands on a copy soon enough. It was good that he kept up with the news...that way, he knew what to expect when it came to doing his job...and what not to expect. The Death Eater leaned back, stretching a bit...then relaxed once more. Little did he know...the prophet had started a bit of an uproar that morning. More prisoners from Azkaban...escaped. He didn't know this yet, of course...but he would know soon enough.

"Lovely morning we're having..." he mumbled to himself.

Too bad it wasn't morning anymore.
