First, let me give an introduction.
I am aware of the reason that Gaia implemented the "no images from outside Gaia other than those on the whitelist" thing. I know about that, and I understand why. HOWEVER, there are many of us that are really being hurt by this. Namely those of us with the DragonCave adoptables.
Issue:
Many of use rely on Gaia to get views and clicks for our Dragons. They start as eggs, then progress to hatchlings, then adults.
HOWEVER, there is a time limit. If they do not hatch in 7 days, they die. If they do not mature 7 days after hatching, they die. We use Gaia to keep them alive.
Some of you might say that we should just upload the images to photobucket or something. THAT DOES NOT WORK. It will NOT register a view unless it is the image from the DragonCave site.
Petition:
This petition is to get the website dragcave.net added to the whitelist for images. Like Photobucket is. They let you post Photobucket images. Why not our adoptables? You can't exactly break the ToS by posting an adoptable of a little Dragon. I mean, there's nothing against the ToS with these sprites. NOTHING. It's not like users can upload images to it. It's not an image hosting site. It's an adoptables site. See for yourselves:

Read that last sentance again. Is that what this is about, Gaia? Do you want to take our adoptables away? Because if it is... JUST COME OUT AND SAY IT! D:<

I sign.
There is absolutely no reason why dragcave should be among the blocked images, as the only thing the images from there are are little sprites under 2.5kb, with absolutely no threat to any computer.

I don't have any adoptables myself (and none from DragonCave; in fact, this is the first time I've ever heard of it), but I can see your point. It just seems so cruel to adopt a dragon egg and then find out that, alas, images from all other image-hosting sites other than Photobucket are banned, and then it's too late since the dragon egg dies. Ouch.
I'll sign, not just for the sake of dragon egg owners, but also for other adoptables too. (Er, ignore the part about other adoptables if you wish.)

Pfft . . . I'm starting to wonder if Gaia understands what the word 'weekend' means.

They should allow "safe" images. Dragcave is one of those as people can't use the images to embed pw stealers. Otherwise they should block ALL images outside of Gaia including photobucket. If you're wondering why photobucket is allowed? Gaia uses it themselves. Once it got to Wednesday and no unblock they should have added to their allowed site list. I assume they know where the images they are talking about are/aren't from.
I personally never saw the images they are talking about and have to wonder if part of the block is to get rid of the "adoptables" images/links.

Gaia is the reason Dragon Cave exists. Gaia is where the very first eggs were hatched, and where the very first hatchlings grew up.
It'd be a shame if a site that has been so important in the Dragon Cave's history block Dragon Cave images for the majority of users that use the "whitelist only" option, thus, I, too, as creator of the Dragon Cave, sign this petition.

Many of Gaia's members are here for the sake of the dragons. If Gaia is not careful, they may lose some devoted Gaians just because they're refusing a few pixels.

Gaia helped my first eggs. But this would help, a lot.
I personally only want whitelisted images going through, but I want to help the dragons without turning off the block.

I'm appalled that Gaia would try to block our eggs/dragons. What harm can they do, seriously? If they do this, they'll join Neopets in their unfounded hatred and earn themselves a large group of people that resent their services, perhaps even voice out against them. The only reason to block DragonCave, as well as ANY OTHER clickable adoptable, is because they want to keep all the attention on themselves, thus rendering themselves virtual attention whores, just like Neopets did. Let's hope Gaia at least comes to their senses before they lose a lot of valuable subscribers. I personally left Gaia 3 years ago and only came back because of DragonCave...GaiaOnline owes a lot to DragonCave.

I've occasionally had a problem with a newb asking me if it was safe, and went through heck trying to explain that it is ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY FINE.
I think that if they could see the dragons, on top of being whitelisted (which means that it is a good website. :3 ), that would fix that problem all together.

><}}> < -coughs, formally- I am not signing for my personal gain of Dragcave.net, but for all the people it affects. I have 16 people whom I tend for as well as many others on Aldora21's thread. That thread made it possible for me to even support that many. And so, I sign for the good of all, not just me... I get people into DragonCave, in order to save many dragons... They too, would not want them to die on themselves. So, to keep this short, I sign for the good of all. )
