It seems apparent that Gaia has utterly and completely forgotten the reason why any of us are even here in the first place, something which both saddens and disheartens me greatly. We never joined as instant "profit-production" (as you so lovingly put it) or with our hearts set on spending enough Gcash to fuel your nefarious little corporate plans.

We came here for Gaia. For the community. For the incredible user-experience that used to be a wonderful place on the internet called gaiaonline.com

Well at least, what's left of it now.

The only way I see this going is more money being taken away from us as tax when we buy something.

The prices are absolutely terrible. There are 15 Death Whispers in the Marketplace. Since last week the price has doubled to over 2 mil.

I paid 300k for mine not long ago.

I freaking love gaia. This is where I come when I need a refuge from the real world. I've met a lot of amazing friends here, and learned so much from other users. I have been a newb, I have been a vendor, I have been a beta tester and gamer, I have been an artist. Currently I have just been very disappointed.

The direction gaia is heading is not sustainable, and that worries me. I should not be having as much stress coming to gaia as I am trying to avoid in my day-to-day life. I would hate to see gaia close, but at this current pace that's the only future I see.

I'm hoping petitions like this and the one I'm doing will have some effect, but I am starting to lose hope, to lose trust, and to lose my happy place.

Please don't kill our happy place.
