and I just typed another response but it seemed like my mom was about to come upstairs so I closed it again.


basically, I accidentally restarted the laptop because the internet connection was screwing up.

but it all stems from my mom's over-controlling. I have no self-control, because I don't need it- she screams at me whenever she remembers that I exist, to go do chores or work or study or whatever; why should I voluntarily go do it earlier and waste time that I could otherwise be spending slacking off? = A=;;; and somewhere in the really long rant I was about to post at first there was something about her insane urge to make us wake up earlier now...

...my mom makes me go to bed at 10... and screams at me because she thinks it's late and that I should be waking up earlier so obviously I have to go to sleep at the same time as my 9 year old sister who's still growing. and she thinks the reason I act so sullen is because I don't get enough sleep- no, it's because I have no reason to be cheery or anything close to happy.

Whatever I do I'm always sneaking around to avoid my mom catching me. wow. that was a really cliche sentence. but still. at night I draw and read by the light of my mp3 player/phone when I don't feel like being on guard, and when I am I've gotten really good at recognizing the sounds of footsteps and her getting up from the couch she goes on her laptop from, so I can turn off the lights when she comes into the hallway. during the day I've come up with this strategy that whenever she's about to come downstairs or catch sight of me- I'll pretend to be doing something else and then casually wander back to the computer after she's acclimated to the idea that I'm not doing work/studying/chores. and I ask her distracting questions when she does see me on the computer, like, "what're we having for lunch", or, "can I help you cut meat?"


The only reason I could type up a rant this long without fear of being caught is because the dish network service person just got here so she's distracted. = A=;;;
I hate our tv company, by the way. their service always breaks and half the time the satellite doesn't work, and they have so many hidden charges, /according to my mom.
and she was the one who made us switch to this shitty two-year contract with dish network in the first place, and now she has their customer service number memorized because she's called them so many times with problems.

*takes deep breath*
