Welcome to Gaia! ::

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission: #1
Goal: Reach Helena and bring her back to your starting portal.
Stipulations: Helena and your herald must survive.
Reward:

Map:
User Image

Deck: You start with one random unit from your deck.
Strategy: The computer starts out weaker than you. Capitalize on that weakness and be aggressive. The units at the bottom will not move, so all you need to be concerned with is beating or running interference for the units spawned from the computer's base. The computer is using essentially the Nightmare computer's deck but has to pay full cost to summon their units and that means they start slow. I would suggest just killing all the computer's units at the top before moving onto killing the ones at the bottom of the map. You have an unlimited amount of time to build an army to kill the ones at the bottom, so you can easily overwhelm them. Don't bring Helena into a fight because she dies really easily.

Faction Differences: I don't recommend that you use your Death Dealer for clearing the enemies at the bottom if you are playing Hellspawn.

Note: Some have said that the computer will send a unit from the bottom to kill Helena if you wait too long but I haven't been able to replicate that. I think what is happening is that the computer will try to sneak units from the top down to Helena to kill her off if you let them get down that far. You need to block the computer and take their territory and box them in.

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission: #2
Goal: Bring Helena up to the outpost at the top of the map.
Stipulations: Helena and your herald must survive.
Reward:

Map:
User Image

Deck:You use your deck and have only Helena and your Herald at the start.

Strategy:
The units blocking your path above your base will not move. Only the enemy's herald and units they summon can move.

Move your Herald up one space to the mana well above your base and move Helena right one space for your first turn and summon a row 1 meat-shield preferably or an attuner if you can't. If you can't summon anything then you might want to forfeit and try again. You want to keep Helena out of as many fights as possible because of her low hp.

The only thing you need to be concerned with is getting an early advantage and preventing the computer from putting attuners on mana wells. The computer starts out with the Succubus so a 1v1 herald fight will almost always be a victory for you, though having a row 1 unit to help is always nice.

There's also a portal near the base and it's good to have control of it, but having the mana wells is more important. If you can get and keep both mana wells then you can build up an army to overpower the computer and take their home base. Once you have that you can kill the remaining units if you wish or just take Helena up to the outpost. It's up to you.

Faction Differences: Hellspawn should use Death Dealer to attack with other units initially, then keep him out of fights for the rest of the mission. Don't put him in any more fights than you need to and do group him with lower-hp row 1 units.

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission #3

Goal:You have to reach the portal up at the top.

Stipulations: Helena must survive until you reach the portal. Your Herald must survive.

Reward:

Map: Randomized. Here's one of many possible maps.
User Image

You don't get your choice of units for this one. Take the path of least resistance and avoid unnecessary fights while getting to the destination in the fewest turns possible. There will be Crimson Queens and Void Scarabs and Cerness, etc. in the way. As long as you stay together it won't be a problem. Once you reach the portal you will have to fight 4 random enemies.

Deck:
Flameborn gets:
Rakyl
Helena
Jakyr
Cataclysm Dragon
Volcano Whelms x2
Breath of Ancients
Gnashing x2

Hellspawn gets:

Death Dealer
Helena
Worm that Walks
Cerness the Skull
Lightning Demon x2
Cloud of Curses x2
Infernal Wrath

Avalon gets:
Corwin
Helena
Cadogan
Master of Flames
Heavy Infantry x2
Energy Storm
Prayer for Victory
Song of Silver

Strategy:

Faction Differences:

Flameborn: Save Breath of Ancients for the last fight.

Hellspawn: Use the Lightning Demon's specials whenever possible. If a Lightning Demon is heavily injured then use Helena's special to take it out of the fight. Save the inferal wrath and cloud of curses for the end. Most enemies will try and retreat. Even then, bad luck will do you in. You should try to end every fight as quickly as possible and do what you can to receive as little damage as possible. Even then, a critical hit on Death Dealer might end the mission for you. Bad luck will happen. The best you can do is keep your lightning demons alive. When targeting tell your Cerness and Worm that Walks to go after enemies with a higher damage aura and your Lightning Demons to attack enemies with lower/no aura if given a choice in a fight against multiple enemies.

Avalon: Try to keep your Heavy Infantry alive. You can use Helena's special or Cadogan's special to prolong the life of the Heavy Infantry. The Heavy Infantry does as much damage as Cadogan and with better accuracy.

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission #4

Goal: You have to capture all 3 towers before the 12 turn time limit is up.

Stipulations: Your Herald must survive and the third tower must be captured by turn 12.

Reward:

Map: Randomized. All towers have an assortment of random non-moving enemies set to guard them.

Deck:

Put mana convergence in your deck if it is not already there and use it as soon as you can for 40 mana right off the bat

You start out with an assortment of random units from your deck. If you you are having trouble with your current deck then you should make a deck filled with stronger units to increase the chances of starting with stronger units.

Strategy"This one has a randomized map so the tower locations will vary. Yes. There is a time limit, but don't feel compelled to attack an enemy tower as soon as possible because there are 5-6 units on each of them and those won't move, and they are mid-cost units like Lightning Demon, Shadow Demon, Dead Sun Minion, Jagged Legion.

Your herald should participate in the attack on the first tower so you have another portal to summon from. Don't focus on taking enemy towers at the expense of getting mana wells and territory to buffer yourself. The computer will be summoning dead sun minions and nagle mages at first to take mana wells so they can pump out hero units every turn. You have to play to deny them those mana wells or else you will be overwhelmed. If you hold mana wells right next to the towers then the computer will be focused on taking those. Also look at the map to see if the computer is holding spots on the map and not moving. If so, those are mana wells too and you should try and take those.

Once you have a strong enough army to take out the towers then you should go on the offensive. AoE units like Master of Flames, Mountain Wyrm, Dragonspawn Sorceress work well when taking the towers. The computer has more quantity than quality of units.

If you are really having problems the easy way to win is to use an OTG deck and have only powerful units in your deck. Since you start out with a bunch of units you can spread out faster and overwhelm the computer to beat the mission. Portal Burst works on the towers and will absolutely make them

You only get about 12 turns to beat the mission, so don't be too cautious either. Keep a steady pace of taking the towers.

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission #5

Goal: Kill the Lord of Despair unit.

Stipulations: Your herald must survive.

Reward:

Map: Randomized. The computer will get an assortment of powerful units on their home portal along with the Lord of Despair. They don't move off the portal.

Deck: You get some random units from your deck.

Strategy

This is a boss stage. You will be given a handful of random units from your deck to start with. The map is randomized. Spread out on your first turn to get as much mana as possible and take as many spaces as you can. .

The computer starts out with a Succubus herald and will expand while attuning wells. You can play like a regular Player v. Computer game and get enough portals and mana wells to build up. If you can box in the computer you will can keep the computer from summoning any more units and let you build up an army quickly. Having an overwhelming number of units makes killing the boss and the units with him very simple.

*note* The computer will spawn a unit a turn automatically on the computer's home base for some turns and may or may not move that unit off the base. Most don't move, but be prepared for a powerful unit to move. Fortunately, it's easy enough to just farm off the computer's spawns while you build up until you're ready to attack or if you want to wait for Armageddon.

The boss has some nasty specials, and for that reason you should focus on killing the Lord of Despair first. If you initiate the battle you should leave your herald out of it on the off-chance it dies.

Factional Differences

As always, be cautious with the Death Dealer if you're Hellspawn. Keep him as an attuner near your home portal away from the fighting and group him with units like Rattling Imp, Hellhound, Tower guardian, Filth Elemental, or Screaming Boulder.

Mission #6

Goal: Get Gwydion safely from his spot to the bottom left corner along with your herald.

Stipulations: Gwydion and your Herald must survive.

Map:
User Image
Occasionally the portal that will be cataclysm'd up to Gwydion will be the space above your home portal and not space A

Deck: You use your deck and have one random unit summoned in addition to your herald at the start.

Strategy:

You start out with one random unit from your deck along with your herald and a cataclysm will take any unit on the space to the left of your home base (usually) up near Gwydion (see picture)

This mission can be done with one or two different ways. You can either outfight the computer and then take Gwydion when it's safe you can try to sneak Gwydion past the computer by riding the cataclysm near him and then taking him and running.

The computer starts out with a lightning demon and void scarab in the top right along with a dead sun minion holding a mana well and a few units from the top left. The computer's goal is to take 2-3 mana wells and then overwhelm you with hero units. If you can prevent the computer from taking and controlling mana wells and hold the portal at the start, then you can probably hold off the computer's advances while taking Gwydion to safety. As long as you hold the portal up in the middle and take the mana well on the upper-left (you should also kill the dead sun minion in the upper-right when you get the chance to.) then you will focus the computer's attention on you and give yourself plenty of space to escort Gwydion to the Bone monument in the bottom left.

The computer may try to come at your home base early with the void scarab and lightning demon or attack your units. The computer, if given the chance, will also make attacking whatever space gwydion is on a priority instead of going after mana wells, portals, or other units once you take him from his starting location.

This mission

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission #7

Relatively easy mission. Make a beeline of the shortest path possible to the enemy base. You will run into enemies on the way there, but they will be weak. Pinning seems to be disabled on this map. You should prioritize killing enemies with the nastier specials like Lightning demons. The enemy gets random units so sometimes you will really get screwed over. Especially if they get a Zerakyl.

Flameborn gets:

Volcano Whelp x2
Cataclysm Dragon
Jakyr
Raykl
Gwydion
gnashing x2
Breath of Ancients.

You can fly your cataclysm dragon ahead to shorten the trip there. Keep the other units together and use them all when you take the portal. Use gnashing before you get there and you will soften the enemies up enough for Jakyr's 55 damage to all special to kill some of the weaker units in one shot. Use Breath of ancients on the final battle in the first turn. You can use Jakyr's forced retreat special too if you wish. Use Raykl's special every turn.

Hellspawn gets:

Lightning Demon x1
Cerness the Skull
Crimson Queen Zerakyl
Worm that Walks
Gwydion
Death Dealer
Infernal Wrath
Cloud of Curses x2

Again, make the most direct path. Don't be too concerned about the enemies in your way because the computer knows which way you will be moving and will put enemies in your way. Use Gwydion's special every turn you can before you reach the portal to make sure your units have as much health as possible.

At the portal...

You will want to use infernal wrath turn 1 and cloud of curses turn 2. Zerakyl's damage 70 to enemies special and death dealer's special turn 3. Chances are your Lightning Demon won't survive round 1 or else I'd say use his special too. Bad luck can doom you on this one so don't be discouraged.

Avalon gets

Heavy Infantry x2
Master of Flames
Cadogan
Sir Corwin
Gywdion
Song of Silver
Energy Storm
Prayer for Victory

Heal with Gwydion every chance you get. Make the beeline. Avoid stepping on cataclysms if you see them. Use Cadogan's special when a Heavy Infantry is low on health.

Omnipresent Warlord

Random map. The goal is to kill Vorax, who will show up after you take the 6th portal.

Play the map as you normally would against the computer. Keep Gwydion and your Herald safe. Make sure you don't rush to get all 6 portals because you can end up with a nasty battle on your hands. You either wait to Armageddon or take the computer's home portal.

There appears to be a glitch that allows you to avoid fighting Vorax at all if you simply take the enemy's home portal.

I wouldn't suggest doing that because Vorax gives some good essence.

If you have done a good job at killing everything else on the map then Vorax should go down easy before he has the chance to do any real damage.

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission #9

Goal: Kill the Mistress of War unit. This mission is a series of three waves you must survive. You are given an ample amount of mana wells to space up and right of your home base. The upper-right space is a portal.

Map:

Deck
You should make a deck specifically for this mission. You will automatically summon a variable number of units and that number is determined by the mana cost of the units summoned. You get more of cheaper units so having low-to-mid range cost.
.
Deck construction

Units with defender, armor, and fear are good to have as are units with AoE specials. These units are particularly helpful.

Mountain Wyrm
Dragoneye Sorceress
Tower guardian
Void Scarab

For Hellspawn I would suggest leaving Death Dealer on your home portal until right before the third wave.

Divide your forces up. Most should go to the right space because most of the first wave will hit there. 3 strong units should be sufficient to hold the upper spot for the first battle. Usually that space gets 2-3 weak units. After that keep adding more units to each spaces for every turn. The right space sees more action usually but sometimes the computer will hit the other spot.

The first wave contains...
Death Dealer 1x
And a bunch of Rattling Imps, Poison Fiends and Blood Acolytes.

The second wave contains...

A bunch of Hellhounds, Filth Elementals, Dead Sun Minions and Jagged Legions.

The final wave contains
Shadow Demons, Slaughter Wheels, Void Scarabs, Zerakyls.

Before the end of the second wave (when there are 4-5 or so enemies left on the map) move most of your units to the upper-right portal. When the third waves first shows up then move the remaining ones there (Death Dealer from home base if you're playing Hellspawn). You should be able to take a chunk of the third wave out that way.

The enemy will try to pin anyone moving to the portal space and whether they pin them or not it doesn't matter much. The portal space itself won't get attacked many units and you can kill those.

After that the enemy will take your home portal. Don't move any units. The following turn the computer will hop around the map and send some units to attack the ones at your home portal. It won't be much. Each following turn the computer will keep hoping around and occasionally attack.

They'll keep doing this until you move your units and then they will try to pin and swarm them but by then they'll have lost so many units that you'll crush them.

Go back and reclaim your home portal when you've killed all the units from the wave. Helena will summon 4 Worm that Walks. You should have enough to overwhelm that. If not? Keep summoning. I'd suggest keeping your herald and Gwydion out of this especiialy if you're playing Hellspawn.

Omnipresent Warlord

Mission # 10
Goal Kill all enemy units.
Stipulation: Your herald and Gwydion must survive.
Reward: Slaughter Wheel, Master of Flames, or Krylyr the Eye.

Map: Randomized.

Deck: You should absolutely make an Open The Gates-style deck for this mission. You start out with 9 units: your herald, Gwydion, and 7 units drawn randomly from your deck.

Strategy:

Planning your deck
You need to fill your deck with your heavy hitters and you should also look to include units with defender because the forced final battle is on your turf. Legiondaries are good, but rare cards like Master of Flames, Krylyr the Eye, Void Scarab, and Slaughter Wheel are very good for this mission. Mountain Wyrms are also exceptionally useful and if you play Avalon then Terror Blades are pretty nice to use too. Sir Corwin is also highly useful in any deck for his special and you can tear apart Helena by having two of him in the final battle, using both their specials and have all units target Helena. Jakyr if you have him, proves useful for fear 20. Knight of 3 Dooms is useful as well for the same reason. The Succubus herald is also great for this because you disable Helena for a turn when you make her attack an enemy unit. I've also found Zerakyl and Furliss helpful for their reducing accuracy specials.

The Hellspawn condondrum
Hellspawn needs to keep Death Dealer alive so cards like Filth Elementals and Cadogan are very useful. Make sure you get the filth elementals damaged by damage aura in the pre-armaggedon fights.

How to play out the mission.

This is your time limit.
Turn 1 Computer uses gnashing. Hits everyone on your home base.
Turn 2 Computer uses gnashing.
Turn 3 computer uses gnashing.
Turn 4 computer sends 4 units out. They may try to retreat.
Turn 5: Computer sends 1-2 more units out in addition to units that retreated prior.
Turn 6: Computer does nothing. Final battle happens after you summon.

You need to use your units to spread out in the direction of the enemy and send your flying outs two spaces out from the starting location in the direction of Helena's base. Gwydion should be
used to scout for mana wells and have your herald or a cheap attuner unit hold the well to help you summon your best units. If you can find and attune 2-3 mana wells on your way to the computer's then you're in good shape.

The goal is to get as many units in one spot right next to the computer's base by turn 4 when the computer sends their 4 units out. Even if you have 4 units of equal strength you should probably win the fight because the computer likes to retreat and most of their units don't have great accuracy. You need to be sure to be defending to take advantage of the defender bonus. If you do it right then you should be able to kill 4-6 units between turn 4 and turn 5 and leave the computer with 9 or 10 units for the final battle.

Final battle
Helana's specials are devastating and you do not want the computer to use them. Manually have every unit attack Helena for round 1 and 2. If you have a Sir Corwin or two then use their specials and Helena will probably die before she will use a special. Another good combination for turn 2 is Corwin/Questing Knight special. From there you should try to kill the Death Dealer, the Zerakyls and the Worm that Walks and make use of any AoE specials like Mountain Wyrm's, Furliss', Jakyr, Zerakyl, etc. Keep focusing on eliminating the most threatening units and keep the computer from breaking through your row 1 or using AoE specials on you.

Factional differences
Breath of Ancients combined with Dragon units make this level very easy to beat. Mountain Wyrm and Dragoneye Sorceress' AoE damage becomes free a spammable every turn and you can use Raykl's stun every turn as well.

My curiosity is of course on how to beat M10, since I pretty much lack Rarity 3+ cards.
