We're both really busy with our classes and work, and we can only work on the extension on the very little free time we have. So it's really hard to say when, the earliest would be next month.

Open applications for beta testing
As many of you know we have been working on a browser extension to replace the userscript. We're pending a few more things to add to the first release.

However, in the mean time we can start beta testing the extension. As soon as it's ready I'll post a notification here in this thread about it.
Beta testing requirements

1. Firefox https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
   
2. A Gaia Tools account https://gaiatools.com/
   
3. Message me your email used for your GTools account

You will need a GTools account so that I can put you in the beta group to have access the page with the link.
Note: Beta testing will only be for Firefox at first.
Disclaimer: Not all beta applications may be accepted, we're looking for a small group of users for first enrollment

I'll be excited when the browser extensions are released. I've been using Gaia on a few different computers and trying to get Tampermonkey to sync properly has been... interesting.

I'll be excited when the browser extensions are released. I've been using Gaia on a few different computers and trying to get Tampermonkey to sync properly has been... interesting.

It won't be in the immediate release, but I plan to integrate exporting and importing preferences two ways. The first is to a file and the extension would be able to read the file back in to set up the preferences, but the second way and the preferred way will be to sync it to the Gaia Tools server using your GTools account and you will be able to easily move your preferences around from computer to computer. 3nodding

I'm on board either way. I'll be keeping an eye out for if/when Chrome testing opens up.

Hello there!
I just have a quick question about a potential feature - I apologise if it's been addressed somewhere already in the thread, but I checked the last 20 pages and didn't see anything. sweatdrop And there are a lot of pages to wade through.

Back in the day I used Gaiarch for its notification feature, the little popup window at the bottom corner of the screen that appeared for any notice or PM, even when you didn't have a Gaia tab open in the browser. I was wondering whether this sort of feature is likely to make an appearance in Upgade in the future? It was ever so handy, as folk didn't have to keep refreshing Gaia to check for anything important.
