His name is Bi-Gon (NOT Bygone, but everyone wants to spell it wrong), and he too was born on Alderaan a few years after Luke and Leia, but when he was a teenager his parents shipped him off to some pretentious pilot academy on an alien planet since he wouldn't stop hounding them about how badly he wanted to be a fighter pilot and they were rather wealthy. While he was away studying, his home planet (and his parents) were blown up by the Death Star, which was around the time he realized he had some control over the Force as he accidentally attacked fellow students who were babbling about his home planet's destruction like it was
no big deal. He has some trouble controlling his temper even now, but he also badly wanted to fight off the Sith. He's not even sure if he counts as Jedi or Sith, but as the Sith only have one leader and one apprentice, it's not like they would've taken him in
anyway, so he thinks of himself more as an independent party. Now he's both a fighter pilot and a rogue warrior of sorts. He also has an alien sidekick that looks
suspiciously like a Kitten Star, but the little guy's true species has a totally different and unpronounceable name (for humans.)
