I was just looking through an old folder of images on my work laptop and found something I'd forgotten about. I hope that some of you will get some kind of kick out of it.
Years ago, we did a sponsorship for a movie called 17 Again, starring teen throblet Zac Efron (or "Zace Fron," as we all called him). It was some kind of body-swapping comedy with Chandler from Friends, I think. After the theatrical run, we ran a second promotion to advertise the DVD and Blu-Ray release.
Apparently we were bored and/or hungry, because instead of delivering an announcement and promo art about the DVD, we decided to turn this in:
I believe it rattled around in the sales department for a while before somebody noticed that we were mistakenly promoting a nonexistent sandwich. Alas, they made us fix it. It sounds like a pretty good sandwich, though. I bet everyone would have really liked the sandwich.
My favorite detail (added by Ling) was the double Zac Efrons in the promo image. We decided that one Zac Efron wasn't enough to convey the gravity of this sandwich.
I hope you enjoyed this idiotic anecdote.
Enjoy your Turkey Deluxe. (Thanks to PRlSM!)
