[[Its oh so fun biggrin I'm kind story locked too.. unless Leo comes back.. I guess Fray can do what she wants tho xD ]]

Edit:
As Frayda laid upon the bar, she felt a tug in her mind. It was a slight interruption into her concentration, but a familiar tug... Her eyes slowly shut and there James was again, reaching out to her once more. If he could get into her head, he must have been nearby...

"Why am I thinking of you?" Fray asked him inside their private vision (although not so private from Leo, although he likely had no interest...), as if her thoughts had conjured him as opposed to the other way around. Really, it required a bit on both ends.

"Because you know that you're more like me than you are like him," James' replied. His image was hazy, and she couldn't tell if this was from her heightened level or that he wasn't as near as she thought. Her eyes opened, the vision lasting only seconds. She sat up slightly, leaning on her elbows to move from her entirely horizontal position so she could peer around the bar. It wasn't paranoia though, just wonder. Without her emotions, she'd lost her fear towards Bentley. She wouldn't have cared if he walked into the bar at that very moment.

That was who James meant when he said him, right? Bentley? It was likely that, in hindsight, James realized it had been a terrible idea to encourage her to turn her emotions off. He was probably just trying to help her find relief, but it had backfired. She was teetering on a dangerous edge now, one that Bentley had completely leapt off with no intention of ever looking back. Perhaps the only thing that was different about Fray is that she had something to come back to. She had Mohan, her only family, but he couldn't accept her as a vampire and it cut her deeply. So why would she come back ? For Kai, her apparently only friend whom she'd only recently become close with? For Saria, her former best friend who hated her? No, she would much rather party with Leo, the devil himself who had ruined her best friend.

Well, this was terribly amusing, watching Ralic stumble about as a human. She could see the lack of grace he moved with, walking with the heavy steps of a man. But why did Ralic choose to cage his wolf? Saria frowned as she considered the possibilities. She knew that the wolf was fiercely loyal to her, and now with the wolf caged, Saria wondered whether Ralic was someone that she could trust to be on her side. That dark tinge of doubt began to creep up on her, and she sighed audibly.

"Anyway. I'll leave you boys be. Things will be happening soon, however."

She figured both men would know what she meant. She had already talked to both of them about her plan to lure Jayke out of hiding, although Ralic was the only one who knew exactly how she planned to do it. She turned, leaving the lab and heading back towards the staircase.

She paused at the top of the stairs, looking down towards the first floor. She could hear the commotion still happening in the bar, and she fought with herself about what to do. Should she go down and 'close the bar' again, breaking up Fray's party? Or should she just go down - right now - and take care of this problem child now? She leaned her palms against the railing as she thought.

Mohan smirked as Ralic looked through the glasses before giving up and offering himself as a guinea pig. It was a tempting offer - Mohan loved to destress via non-pressure exploration and discovery - but he knew that he had to keep himself focused on the task at hand. Doing so would make this gloomy period at the Heartless end sooner.

He quirked a brow as Saria mentioned things happening soon before taking her leave. He looked to Ralic with the same questionable look. He knew that it meant she was going to try to bring Jayke back soon, but that was all he knew. And he wondered what Ralic knew of Saria's plans, versus Mohan and Fray's plans.

"So..." He began, somewhat awkwardly. "Why are you human?"

Privy to Fray's inner most cognitive sense's Leonardo would indeed find little interest in what the vampire mused herself over. He'd elaborated her surroundings as a means to entertain himself, a fictional overlay of tangible dimension birthed from his own vast imagination tailored through her own sub conscious desires. Still seated at the bar he'd make no further comment beyond his initial jest at dead bodies being littered about, his appetite capable of only being teased even should the entire manor be filled with carnage. The subtle taste of Fray's intoxication upon him served well enough for the time being, savoring the occasional drag from his hand rolled narcotic which vicariously through him would enter Fray's own synced body as a mild subliminal sedative that held more potential to tentatively subdue her than it would him. He contemplated filling her mind with more carnal images and impulses, or even the thought of twisting her good time into that of a horror enough to breed fear into that of even an undead creature.

Neglecting such impulse's he'd vaguely taste the sensation of Saria's current intent in a manner that transcended the intoxication he'd fed Fray, leaving the vampire ignorant of the heavier meta-physical bond he current shared with the dark elf. The malevolent monstrosity doubted anyone present could fathom his concept of a 'party' since none seemed to indulge in the fancy of his favored sort of violence. Leonardo preferred prey that could bite back even by his standard as apposed to witless helpless creatures he's as easily devour as destroy. Smoothly painting Fray's conscious mind with further lush imagery of violet blades of grass sprouting up from the floor below them in a verdant display of alluring comfort Leo rested his elbows on the bar counter, curious in his own way as to how he'd be held responsible for the lovely vampires indulgence of whim. Absently rapping his digits upon the counter out of boredom the blunt would be left to linger between his enticing lips, a faint smirk touching at the corners to accentuate his following words.

"For all I've heard of this place being in need of defending I've yet to witness anything beyond myself that poses much of a threat. Ecstasy, sex, and blood as alluring as they are I don't see what everyone's been so worried about."
Ralic nodded as Saria took her leave, his gaze lingering long after she left the door frame. "The wolf makes it hard to think," he responded absently before turning to look at Mohan. "He can't do anything against her and could give you away at any moment. I didn't want to risk it." He sauntered across the lab as he inspected the gizmos the doctor had around, though he did not touch. "Besides, he's been getting more independent. He needs to know I'm in control."

Fray would roll from her position on the bar onto her stomach, crossing her ankles as she kicked her feet into the air. Her black heels laid on the bar behind her as she'd taken them off, a little habit she'd carried over even into death when she decided to climb on the bar. She was losing interest in the party now, staring at her painted fingernails boredly. "Oh, they're all just afraid of Bentley," She would say to Leo. Most referred to him by his first and true name Jayke, but Fray knew him best as Bentley, which is why she still addressed him as such. Ironic she would say this though, because out of anyone at the Manor, she had reasons to fear him most. Although Saria was close behind; he considered her a personal threat.

"He has quite the temper," She added with a faint smirk, as though the matter were amusing, but it faded quickly. "There's this whole dilemma that he can't be killed, as well as his obsession with burning us all alive. We betrayed him, yadda yadda yadda. Really it's an illusion that anyone thinks they have a hand in the matter at all. If he wanted us dead, we'd be dead. I think he's bored. Playing mind games and such. Life probably gets boring after a thousand years.." Again with the matter-of-fact summaries that would prove as an inkling into her lost humanity...

Bentley was in fact bidding his time only to increase their terror, feeding constant paranoia of when he'd return for their blood. Her blood. But he was the one that made her this way, absolutely bewitched at the thought of not having control over the former kitsune's life and death. Fray couldn't help but roll her eyes. She was eternally sick of Bentley and his dilapidated issues with loyalty and betrayal.

Although Fray didn't muse herself as on the level of 'evil' that Leo was--after all, she'd only killed one person (and left a few near-death from tonight's festivities.. but whether they died or not she wasn't sure nor did she care)--she was in no state to question his behavior or involvement with Saria. She'd lost interest in such matters. Sure, she'd help Mohan execute their plan, only for the mere satisfaction of killing Saria and turning her into what she hated most., but she'd stopped caring about getting her best friend back.

It was about time that Saria came back to make sure there wasn't a pile of bodies laying in the bar, anyway. A grin formed on Fray's face at the thought of Saria's horror over such a scene. Maybe she'd enact Mohan's plan a little early... Leo would know that Fray was going to kill Saria and sever their link, and Fray would know that Leo knew, but did this bother him? She glanced up at the muscular devil, as though she were awaiting a response to her thoughts. She'd take no response as indifference, or approval, although she didn't require it--she was wondering if he would interfere. Ralic was up in the lab worrying about giving away their plan, when really it was Fray that he and Mohan should be worrying about.

(( Long post warning... I shrunk the font so it wouldn't take up so much space... c': ))

"So... hybrids?"

Kai asked Yuni on their way back to the Manor, giving the girl some time to burn off the tingly pain of nerves connecting into fresh tissues and to warm herself. They took their time, knowing they were a party within parties yet part of the other parties at the same time. The bare trees let them pass without so much as a whisper, unaware of the world around them in their hibernating states. Jack's snow was still crunchy and present, looking eerily bright in the darkened scenery. Kai might paint this scene sometime later, if conditions permit. But for now, she would look to the literally steaming teen beside her.

Yuni huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. She still couldn't feel her left arm very well. "I ain't ne'er seen a pack o' vamps nuh get the hint when they see one o' their own get their face melted off after bitin' me. They were crazy strong, too."

Kai reached into her dress pants pockets to retrieve her gloves, slipping them on as they started to leave the forest. "I suppose it is to be expected. With a known location, they have painted the Manor with blood."

Yuni's ears leaned back against her messy hair, looking worried. "Ya mean us. Or at least me. Ya can be as detached as ya wanna, Teme, but I gotta do somethin'--"

"And what is it you plan to do, Yunique?" Kai questioned, looking over the Manor's windows as she stopped and put a gentle hand on her Charge's smaller shoulder. "You are not the catalyst to bridge their division, but you are the only one under my protection. If need be, I will drag you from here."

Yuni huffed again, moving to shrug off the hand before her shoulders just sagged. Like she was letting something sink in until it dropped into her grumbly stomach. It was a good point. What could the wee kitten-teen do? This was a matter for adults, and the adults could barely work together. Saria had discarded the defense system idea, and would probably disagree with any other similar plan. But like any fiery character, some radical plot began to boil from that pit in her stomach. Yuni shrugged off Kai's hand, marching up the steps where there was a group of Heartless waiting to greet her.

"I can do somethin'. Jus' ya watch."

Yuni went inside, hesitating when she heard the loud music and the sound of a crowd in the bar room. Should she tell Saria about the vampires in the town? Hovering just by the entryway to the bar room in her ruined clothing, brow furrowed. Looking down the hall and up the stairs where her room would be-- the one room she had refused to enter for some months now-- and found the aforementioned dark elf. Yuni gave Saria a disgruntled look of confusion, probably because of the party going on, before disappearing into the ballroom. Any party goers were forcefully kicked out, then the doors were closed.

Kai saw the windows of the ballroom become blacked out with sheets of metal, and she assumed the grand room was now Yuni's workplace. She herself did not enter the building yet, not ready to head into the wolves den. The winter outside was much more peaceful with the sound from inside becoming deadened. So the violet haired woman simply stood there, hands tucked into her pockets and dark eyes looking up to the skies above.

"... She would grow into a strong woman, Kurosu..."
Sharp, flawless icicles hung from the edge of the manor's roof in long spears, staying mostly to one corner of the roof. The cause of it sat there at the edge, one bare foot dangling over the roof while the other was propped up to let his elbow rest on his knee. Jack still had a dark presence to him, the anger and frustration of the manor helping. His black hood was pulled up over his smokey gray hair, his bright golden colored eyes looking out over the snow he had created. Several heartless had taken to rolling around on his shadow like dogs on an interesting smell.

Kai took notice of the other presence lurking outside of the manor like herself, dark eyes looking over to the blip of energy on her mental radar before her head turned to follow. The boy certainly looked like the winter sprite from the other day, just painted with a slightly different palette for color and aura. An eyebrow quirked upward slightly, just watching the boy with the crook and the Heartless that had taken a fancy to his darkness. The shadow creatures had taken to avoiding Kai's immediate vicinity. She had no heart for them to sense or steal, if they could. They probably couldn't even sense any true darkness in her mostly logic driven body. One needed humane morals to get a feel for where the lines were, and the rest was up to speculation.

Kai looked lower to where the icicles hung, a drop of creamy blue swirling in her dark irises as a low vibration left her throat. She focused on the icicles, making them ring a subtle tune.

What an odd sensation the dark elf could feel. It was a weird sort of tingling that would start at the base of her neck, and simultaneously spread upward and downward. A sort of knowing.

It proved itself to be very interesting, being so connected to Leo, who was then connected to Fray on a much lesser measure. Fray may be privy to some of the devil's thoughts, but the connection would not transfer over to the elf - no, their simple blood high was not the same procedure that bonded Saria and Leo. However, in a very faint way - just enough to get an inkling of an idea - Saria could feel Fray's intent. Funny, it was the exact same as Saria's. Both women were within a couple hundred feet of each other, wondering whether or not they should take the other out.

Saria would lower herself slightly, now resting her elbows on the railing as her orange eyes continued to scan the bottom of the stairs idly. Slowly her eyes would fade to green and vines would begin to sprout from her fingers, winding around the railing. She wouldn't move, just remain with her unreadable gaze as Yuni would walk in, wave, and then head into the ballroom.

The elf was getting itchy. An itchy thought in the back of her mind. This life everyone was living was downright awful, even for a dark elf. It was dreary, it was doom-and-gloom, and it was stressful. She needed to get rid of the threats now.

The vines would begin to spread, as if they were a fire spreading faster with the urgency that battled within Saria's mind. Her green eyes would flick back towards Mohan's lab. Ralic was a mere man now, which hindered her side of the battle. But Mohan was emotionally conflicted, which could make up for the lack of wolf.

She removed one hand from the railing, reaching towards her belt to make sure she was armed. Yes, she had several goodies about her waist. Silver daggers, her new sword that was gifted to her for Christmas, silver shurikens in the shape of crucifixes. And of course, the most powerful weapon was part of her - her foliage, and her ability to produce vervain at the mere thought.

Mohan tilted his head slightly as Ralic walked around his lab, studying his various machines.

"So you and the wolf are separate entities?" Mohan asked, although more to himself than to Ralic. "Huh..."

He would appear to ponder this new information for a few moments before he would look back to Ralic at the mention of giving away their plan. Oh, Ralic hadn't seen Fray yet.

"I - I don't know whats going on anymore." Mohan confessed after a moment with a frown. He rubbed some of the stubble on his chin as he stood up, glancing towards the door as if to make sure Saria or Fray weren't about to walk in.

"Fray turned off her humanity. She's full vampire now." His feelings would choke out as he spoke the words, showing how distraught he was over it. Her words filled his mind, but he shook his head as he tried to shake out what she said.

"I believe she's still keen on helping us take Saria down, but she may not be so careful as to make sure Saria lives through her bite. She's gone predator mode."

Jack's attention was snagged as he heard his icicles ringing, the low vibration of them causing them to sparkle lightly with the faint movement.
"Hm"
He leaned forward to find the source, Kai standing just beside the spears of ice.
"Careful. It's dangerous to stand too close to those. Don't want to get impaled."
He grinned, though his tone wasn't threatening. More of a comical tone of general warning to the woman.

A faint smirk touched Kai's lips as she looked up to the boy again, her vibrations still making the icicles sing softly. She shrugged a bit, having no fear. And though her voice was naturally weak and raspy sounding, it somehow managed to carry up to the boy's ears.

"'Tis dangerous to stay too close to negativity, yet you do." Kai's tone was usually hard to figure out with the lack of volume to it, but she attempted the same light tone as him.

Jack grinned as he stood up, the heartless frantically trying to catch his shadow before he shooed them away with the curve of his crook.
"Well, like you and those icicles I don't fear it. I actually kind of enjoy it. So much energy is exerted when there's anger, fear, resentment and hate."
He jumped down from the roof, landing lightly on his bare feet in the cold snow.
"I take it you're out here to get away from it?"
He leaned on his staff with an arched brow and that charmed grin.
